When we arrived, we were told the hotel no longer was in service. After contacting the property, we were told the hotel moved and renamed. The new hotel is much smaller than the original, and doesn’t contain the same amenity’s. And don't look professional without make some sort of communication to the customer.
Comfortable
It was a last minute stay and was perfectly fine for one night. No frills and fancy stuff but clean. Reception people were extremely nice!
I did like the white sheets, towels and the pillows covers. Staff people are very friendly. I definitely would stay again in the hotel.
The room I was given did not look like the pictures at all
Close to the train station and breakfast included for a fair price.
Great hotel for the price.. near train/bus and everything else, not too much of a steep hill walk compared to other hotels
Very decent hotel for this price
we stayed for two nights and no clean towels, no toilet paper the next day, we have to ask for.
We needed a place to stay after hiking the Inca Trail. This hotel was friendly and the location was close to everything. They served a nice breakfast in the morning and provided us with all of the essentials. The window in the room was open for the sake of ventilation which was great except that mosquitoes were in the room. Other than that, I have no complaints.
Good for a couple of nights
What we liked about the hotel was the location, very close to everything and the street in the back of the hotel give you a better idea of what it is to live in Aguas Calientes. The room is small, but it was comfortable, and you don't really spend to much time there. We had hot water both days. Breakfast was decent. The staff wasn't rude but we had better experiences in our trip. The front desk is often without someone to assist and when we ask for a couple of towels because the ones we had were still humid for the day before, they said that they would have to charge us for extra towels. Also, you have to leave the key in the front desk, and because sometimes there's no one there either you don't get your key, or worse, anyone can get it since they are in plain site. Our last day there, we went out really early and came back before our check out only to see thay they were about to start making the room, so I had to go look the cleaning lady that had my key in order for me to get in my room. Check out is way to early 9:30 am. I think that because they know people still go there, they don't pay to much attention to detail since hotels in Aguas Calientes are more on the pricey side.
Nice hotel for visiting Machu Picchu. Great location. Had hot water both days.
The receptionist from Venezuela was extremly nice to us.
Good Customer Service
The Front Desk girl was amazing. She is an asset to the hotel. In overall the cleanness and the customer service is exceptional.
Excellent location, small room. Construction works. Good breakfast.
Friendly hotel
Really helpful people and perfect breakfast before Machu Picchu!!
Ok place for a quick stay.
It served its need to us, a night after Machu Picchu to relax. Definitely a 2-3 Star hotel.
very convenient location
the rooms were musty smelling but beds are accommodations were comfortable
Badly maintained
the walls were cracking and the bedsheets were not very clean either. The toilet was ok but a very bad smell in the reception area.
Good Value for Clean Basic Accommodation
The property is bare bones but is clean and comfortable enough for the value. The hotel staff were helpful. It is a good choice for anyone more interested in experiencing the sites Machu Picchu has to offer and less interested in experiencing a luxury hotel. I would recommend for any traveler on a budget.
Good for a night
We booked a room here after doing a 2 day trek and before heading up to Machupicchu so we were extremely exhausted, it was good to have a bed to fall into. It was cheap and good for the night.
Ok for MP stay
The staff was kind and helpful. The room was ok, but they need to manage the dampness better, mold on pillows and muggy room air limited sleep comfort. Breakfast was fantastic for a prelude to a big hike up to sun gate.
Nice apartments and excellent service
Spent 7 nights in the 2 apartments for 9 old people in January 2018. They are nice & clean and have a kitchen. The owner Gustavo and his employees , Dave, Carlos and Michael are very helpful. We took the tours in Lima with them for their reasonable prices. We made a good decision to go with them because of security and convenience. They provide an excellent service more than we can ask. There are the serious traffic's jams because of the Pope's visit. We can buy fruits near the hotel. The owner drove us to the fish's market for free and we gave them only tips. The sea foods are cheap and we can cook them in their kitchens.
Good value stay fora visit to MP
Good option for overnight in agua caliente, close to the bus and very helpful staff
We were moved to a different hotel. The location is not as good as the one we booked, in terms of distance to the bus station and accessibility to restaurants. Also it was quite noisy. The one we actually booked looked a little bit cleaner also.
Hospitality without being hospitable
This hotel management would rather apply a strict date change policy than actually accomodate guests and have them stay at this hotel. I requested to change my reservation to the night after I had booked because I missed my flight due to illness, and even with the assistance of Expedia, the management of this hotel would not budge. Given the terms and conditions of this booking they were completely within their rights to do so however being in the hospitality business, you would imagine they would be somewhat hospitable in times of genuine need. Ultimately, I did not stay at this hotel and I would not recommend doing so as this treatment of a guest was a big red flag.
Perfect Spot for Machu Picchu
Such a great location! The customer service was amazing and the room itself was very comfortable with an amazing view. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great place to stay before adventure up to MP!
The hotel room had everything we needed and a really nice, hot shower. very clean! The staff was SUPER FRIENDLY and SUPER HELPFUL ensuring we had our bus tickets to Machu Pichu even though we didn't ask about it. I was really impressed by the staff. They'll look out for you! Breakfast was pretty good too. The only issue was that there were a bunch of kids really loud outside, at 11pm..not sure why really. And we could hear them from the top floor. Nice view of the river from up there though!
Nice wee hotel
Staff weren't all that friendly, but the room was nice and our beds were made if we were out by the morning. Awesome breakfast service - will prepare you a meal bag if you're leaving early for Machu Picchu!
Convenient Location, Comfortable Lodging
This hotel is perfect for a comfortable home base to set out or return to from a day at Machu Picchu. The young lady who was at the front desk seemingly the whole time we were there was very friendly and helpful with advice and instructions, and she did a great job of figuring out what I was trying to ask in my bad Spanish. The property is nicely kept and secure, and all our showers were nice and hot. The gorgeous tile floor is a bit slippery when wet though, so exit said hot showers with care! The predawn breakfast was hot and delicious, the line to the busses in the morning is literally across the bridge, and at night we could hear the river going down its series of cascades right outside our window.
Overall a very good value
Property a little dated, but good staff and location adjacent to rail station and 5 minutes from bus to to Machu Picchu and main town square. Sometimes a little noisy, but overall a very good value and would not hesitate to stay here again
Good. Hotel Personnel was more than helpful.
Great place for Machu Picchu
Excellent inexpensive place to overnight before or after Michu Picchu. Staff are very nice and accommodating.
Rustic but functional.
Short walk from main plaza. Quiet. Husband and wife owners run the place. Highly recommended.
Great for Machu Picchu
Ideal place to stay for visiting Machu Picchu. Clean and comfortable. It does get rather noisy from people in the corridor and stairs as the sounds seems to echo - nothing a pair of ear plugs cannot fix though.
Super close to everything
There are apparently 2 Intillaqta hostels in Macchu Picchu so make sure you know which one you booked! They aren't far apart from each other but if it's pouring rain, better to not have to walk around a bunch to find the right one! Small rooms, clean and ours had a view of the soccer pitch and mountains. Very nice!!! When we got back from the Macchu Pichu hike, we asked if we could shower and nap in a room for a few hours before catching our train back. For a small price, they had no problem with it. Definitely worth it as the late trains are much cheaper than the afternoon trains if you're travelling on a budget.
Great hotel
No complaints. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower had hot water. Great stay
Convenient and clean hotel great location
It was a pleasant stay.
At first it was hard to find and the receptionist did not arrive until mid-day, so we had to check-in with another member of the staff. Neither the WiFi nor the TV worked and the windows were very thin, which allowed us to hear maintenance work in the morning and local sports games at the adjacent school in the late evening. There was hot water and the breakfast was adequate, albeit small. Overall, a fine place to stay for one night before visiting Machu Picchu, but would not recommend for longer stay.
Raquel met us at the front desk with a big smile on her face, she went above and beyond anywhere else that I have stayed in Machu Picchu let alone Peru. Fun and friendly great customer service. Thank you Raquel you rock!!!!!
I'd rather stay in a hostel.
They are doing renovations on the top floor so the hammers started at 8am and went through till 10pm. There might as well be no walls as you can hear everything outside your room. They had really rowdy guests and no one asked them to be quiet. The only positive was the lady working on the front counter; The other staff were just grumpy or rude. No late check outs available and the rooms have some high windows with no curtains so you get the hallway light shining through all night. I'm not one to complain but this place was crap! You're better off saving money and going to a hostal.
We stayed 2 nights to avoid getting on the train immediately after a long day at machu picchu. Our room was really small, with barely enough space for the luggage. Other rooms didn't seem to have this problem. We also didn't have hot water in our room, sonething the staff knew but weren't proactive about it. We used another room's shower instead. The hotel is very noisy, there was construction during our stay and doors can't shut properly without slamming them. Overall, it was cheap, well located, but I would not stay again considering that we had better experiences for the same price.
Don't stay there.
It was extremely noisy. They gave us a room with no views to the mountains, as the booking said (in fact, it had a window to the corridor!), and did not want to move us because we had sat on the bed. They did not have change to give after our payment and had to remind them up to three times that they should give us the money back. Breakfast was very small. The personnel were only helpful when we reported that we did not have hot water. The only good thing was that the bed was comfortable.
Dreadful night. Bring titanium ear plugs
I almost died thinking I would not sleep due to very loud music at a construction site that worked graveyard and music just blasted honestly until midnight. There is a soccer field in back of hotel with tons of people and players. The noise was dreadful. I was so angry needing to take sleeping pills and praying that music would stop Stay away from this area in general. Very busy and loud
It looks better on the pictures
You get what you pay for. Friendly staff.
Good budget hotel in a good location.
Had a good time. Room was a bit damp, but bed was very comfortable. Nice view, although the soccer field next door could be a little noisy at times. Nice staff. Good breakfast. Overall, good value for the money. Would stay here again.
For the price, the room met all of our expectations. Despite them being short-staffed at the moment, the service was great. Our room didn't have towels, but they were provided as soon as we asked for them. Soap and toilet paper were provided, but not the shampoo which is more than we expected since this is pretty much a fancy hostel. A particularly helpful feature is that you can leave your bags here for the time you're hiking even after checkout, but that's common for the area.
Not great
A lot of building work going on from very early and throughout the day, so very noisy. Breakfast finished at 8 and checkout at 930 seemed very early
The hotel was good, other than the fact that I could not get hot water to take a shower with in the morning. My friend in the next room told me that he finally got hot water after leaving it on for over 20 minutes. Apparently, I did not wait long enough. Otherwise, the hotel looked nice, the bed was comfortable, the room was really clean and the staff was pleasant.
friendliest staff!!!
The staff was so friendly and made me feel welcome in a foreign land. They are hard working people who are proud of their Peruvian culture. The stay was comfortable, memorable and very pleasant. I even made friends with the staff! They kept the place neat and clean.
Perfect for spending the night before a big day.
Really comfy bed and shower!
Very good experience. Nice staff, small but comfy rooms, awesome new beds, pillows and blankets. Good breakfast and super hot shower. Still under renovation but nothing annoying. Good location for early morning lineup for the bus (since the line was already long at 5:30am, it was all the way up in front of our hotel so we didn't have to walk uphill to the almost-hour-long end of the line).
A hostal in Aguascalientes
This hostel was fine. Staff was helpful and pleasant.
Super nice hotel, would recommend to any one.
This is a fairly new hotel, modern building, very clean and in a good location. The staff (owners) extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and up to date in every respect. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone.
The hotel is a budget hotel but with very poor service. Wifi was not working, neighborhood and guests were very noisy that kept us awake. The service was poor. Based on previous reviews, this hotel was over rated.
2 nights base camp for Machu Picchu
Good two nights base camp for trekking up Machu Picchu.
It was a bad experience
No hot water, no English speaking. No coffee. It was expensive hotel compare with others and no hot water and too noise. I could't sleep well because early morning noise from hotel renovation and night time noise from soccer field. It was horrible. Also I had to wait too long time for the hot water. My husband got cold because cold shower so I asked warm drinking water for taking medicine but they told me "no".Hotel stuff did't understand English and other guests help me but no luck. Hotel was cold and got sick because of cold shower. Hotel was dirty and it wasn't good place. I hope everybody reads my comment on this hotel.
Unexpectedly good
We were met at the PeruRail station by Flor. She's extremely helpful n attention to details. Our comfort of stay were met. She offered personalized service asking what and when we want to eat breakfast. Sunnyside up eggs we wanted n they were there by 430am! In addition to the usual breakfast. She even woke us up so we won't miss our MPICCHU hike. On going home, she volunteered to take us to train station! Bravo FLOR! Miss Flor already.
Nice hotel with easy access to trains and busses
The hotel was clean and well maintained. We arrived on the last train in and the streets to the hotel were dark in lots of places, but there were plenty of police in these areas so felt safe enough. The staff do not speak English and my Spanish is horrible but they helped me with all my questions.
Great convenience!
Perfectly!
The name of this hotel itself was different. Therefore, it was difficult to confirm the position.
FRAUDE
NO EXISTE EL HOTEL
Bra boende för bra pris
Bra boende centralt.
Horrible experiencia
No dejan shampoo sólo jabón.
Havia TV a cabo e a cama bem confortável.
Cheap and clean for a night in MachuPicchu
The price is reasonable, the place is pretty nice. Shower works with lots of hot water. Bed was comfortable. The desk was very helpful and even prepared a bagged breakfast for an early departure. Only drawback was that it was very loud. Lots of street noise, but people in the hotel were also yelling a lot.
Quarto amplo
Eu e meu namorado adoramos o nosso quarto!
good
staff was very kindly. room was clean. i have good memory
Intillaqta MachuPicchu Pueblo | Home in Machu Picchu | Travala.com
This property was not easy to find. The room was basic. Water wasnt too hot as expected. Breakfast options were good. Staff were courteous, professional and served well.
