For some reason we had a $150 charge on our credit card after our stay.
great hotel. very friendly staff
You can’t go wrong booking w Intercontinental
Front desk was wonderful, Gina helped us out a bunch. She went above and beyond. The hotel was nicely decorated to welcome everyone for NBA All-Star weekend. Rooms were clean and well kept
The room was great and super clean with a great view.Staff was the best very accommodating and hospitable.
I love staying at the Intercontinental SF. Staff, valet, cleanliness is all amazing. What I love the most is the access to EV charging.
Good
noice
I stay here often and it is wonderful, but as with a number of neighborhoods in that area, it is dirty and the homeless and drug addicted make it feel unsafe.

Amazing experience and customer service, The 888 bar team are great.
Great customer service. Clean and comfortable.
I was checked in efficiently and quickly...my room was nice, spacious and clean...the jacuzzi was hot and relaxing...the gym was decently equipped with weights and cardio machines....the temperature of the swimming pool was just right...Bistro 888 surprised me with their delicious entrees and the wait staff are all super attentive and friendly including the hostess. The hotel is quite a walk from Powell BART station but it was manageable...I will definitely stay here again.
Very nice hotel and professional staff
I love this family-friendly place! When we checked in, the employee at the front desk offered us the option to upgrade to a suite. We paid a little extra for the junior suite, and it was absolutely worth it. There was plenty of space for our kids to play, and the beautiful view of San Francisco was a bonus. One interesting feature of the room was the large windows in the bathroom. After check-in, the employee gave our kids coloring books and a small stuffed seal, which made them very happy. I honestly didn't expect that! We ordered food from the different restaurants on-site, and the food was great! We would definitely come here again!
The staff were pretty rude. I felt like I didn’t belong with the constant staring and asking for my room number to see if I was a guest.
Great staff and rooms
Nice hotel
my room was really dirty, I asked to clean it up, but again they only made my bed , but didn't clean the floor.... Moreover, in my room there were no essential things that should be... slippers, water etc... the telephone didn't work either.... the staff need to be more polite....
Great hotel for any occasion!
Super friendly and easy
The hotel is great staff is amazing but the area around the hotel seems to be unsafe
The only real complaint I had was the shower. You could fix your water. Then it would go to freezing cold and then burning hot. The whole time you’re in the shower you are adjusting the water. Very aggravating!
.
One thing shocked me. The fridge in room didn’t seem to work. I asked and they told me if I wanted to use it, the charge would be $30/night.
Nice hotel
No complaints everything was good
The entire staff was amazing! I would give the customer service 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend the Intercontinental!
The stay wasn't awful overall. However, it could be improved in several ways. Most of the pillows smelled really bad. Also, there were some black stains near the shower door. Moreover, the breakfast buffet didn't have many options or beverages. We had to wait a long time for a coffee refill. There was no tea. When we arrived and when we were leaving, none of them staff offered any help with our heavy baggage. Again, the stay wasn't awful but there was a lot of room for improvement.
The toilet bowl/seat was dirty. San Francisco still having lot of homeless people. I didn’t feel safe leaving my hotel during night
Great
What I liked was the bed and bedding. The cleaning staff was excellent. The room was spacious. We would have appreciated a better refrigerator as we have health issues and need fridge space. The only thing we didn’t like was when they asked for our room number when we ate in the cafe and we paid for our meals we were still charged meals to the room.
This hotel met and exceeded all my expectations. The staff is extremely helpful and professional. Just be aware that downtown san fransisco can be a little dodgy when you go past 5th street.
Awesome stay!!! Always comes through
Great property
Very nice hotel! Professional and friendly staff.
Hidden fees Very difficult to get to
Great stay- we will be back
The service was outstanding. From checkin, the valet, the door guys, the breakfast crew and house cleaning. My husband and my child stayed one night and had a really great time. We utilized the gym, pool, and hot tub which were all great. The breakfast buffet staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was very good too, they had a large spread of options. We thought we left an ear bud and the house cleaning staff were very helpful and friendly about it over the phone, we ended up finding the ear bud in our luggage when we got home. Basically everyone was so helpful and accommodating.
Wonderful stay
Room was dirty and unsanitary. First time intercontinental disappoints me with the dirty sheets and towels. Last straw was finding nail clippings all over the ground by the night stand.
.
Valet was great and the bed was very comfortable
Great property
The staff was very friendly and had amazing attention to detail.
Returning customer
I book a room at the Intercontinental Hotel for my family each time they visit me in San Francisco. It’s a much more comfortable stay than my small apartment! They like the hotel and the services. Will reserve a room here again soon!
We had a great stay and they made my daughter feel very special ♡
😍
The hot tub doesn’t seem to be working which was the whole reason I booked here
View from room just ok. Shower had hair on wall. Room service was insanely expensive delivery fee and tax
The view from my room was amazing
Liked the building look
The staff was great and the food was amazing
Stayed for 2 days for business. Came into SF around 10pm. Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean and modern. I also swam in the pool. The workout facilities were great. Perfect stay. Will be back.
Perfect overnight
Went to a music venue and then had a great night sleep surrounded by the lit up city .
Had a great time again at the Intercontinental!
Always have a great time at the SF intercontinental! Love the location. Easy access to mass transit. Lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood. Splurged this time and got a junior suite on a higher floor. Room was huge and had an amazing view of the city skyline and the bay.
Very spacious room. Very clean and cozy.
Hidden fees at the end.
Nice place
Amazing staff!
Service was fast and friendly.
Staff was great; gave my son a teddy bear!
Nice place
We stayed here forbthe Howweird street festival.. perfectly located
Amazing experience, great reception by John during check in. Room was clean and well maintained. Awesome location and wonderful valet service. Would stay again for sure

We had two rooms, each with two very small full beds. Besides being very narrow, the beds were long past their useful life. Lumpy and unsupportive. Although it was average temperature outside, the rooms were very hot. In both rooms the lowest temp was 65, but it was nowhere near that. 73 at best, and there was only one baby comforter. All in all, it was safe and clean, but nothing what I would associate with an ICGH flagship. I’ve had better quality at their budget brands (HIE). Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Top notch place
Old and not worth it’s Star rating
Very nice hotel just they don’t tell you all the extras fees (hidden)
Nice hotel, beautiful views on 26th floor
Property is great! Staff too. Indoor pool. But just a couple blocks away are homeless. Not hotels fault. And it’s very safe and clean around and near hotel.
Exceptional customer service
Clean
It is a nice hotel.
Nice and clean property
They generally do not like it when you make a reservation through Expedia. They tried to upsell the room that I had already purchased.
Amazing hotel, with great courteous staff and nice spacious rooms (nice facilities as well). Unfortunately SF is in a terrible state in downtown and SoMa, with crazy people roaming around and screaming most time of the day, shops are closed and almost no regular citizen around. Enjoy the hotel and run fast to another location with Uber.
Nice view on corner room
OK, but was missing something.
We stayed here in August 2024 on our visit to SF. The hotel is located in the Downtown area, and we felt quite safe walking around the area. The room was nice and cleaned on a daily basis, and the beds were very comfortable. We had breakfast one morning which was quite nice. I'm not sure if the buffet is worth the money at $39 though. The evening meal was nice too, and the staff were friendly there. The pool was adequate, but I think the photo makes it look better than it is, and the jacuzzi didn't have much power. The lobby area leading to the bar and restaurant is a bit odd (the signer was under the stairs). Overall, our stay was OK, but I don't think I would return here. The hotel was missing something, and didn't have much character.
Was not told information about parking . Was forced to do valet for $74
Poor part of town
Average and unremarkable hotel in a poor part of town with some rough streets. Helpful and friendly concierge. Noisy room times. Expensive parking.
H
Nice stay.
Hotel was lovely! Amenities were great and it felt were comfortable and quiet.
Hotel is good, but area around is not.
Nice rooms good view
My new favorite hotel in SF. I love the SOMA neighborhood and it’s great to have such a modern, sleek, and friendly place to stay that is walking distance from everything. If you’re new to SF, SOMA is more of an arts and clubbing district with lots of awesome historical lofts and industrial era workshops.
A great place to stay with family.
No thank you
Did not know the pool was indoors. Not to mention turn the wrong corner and you will be on skid row. They were going to refund but I couldn’t get a hold of you guys. They said I need to go through your team first
Parking $100 a night beware
average
hotel has charged for kids breakfast almost the same amount as resort fee and tax which is not that great. only adults were covered under the package of breakfast and children were excluded. when the bill came i felt like almost the four of us has paid for our breakfast given the tax was almost equal to the 3 days breakfast charges of kids. hotel bath room esp the shower area was not cleaned well and there were dust of the floor mat and beds were not so comfortable for two people to sleep
No room service after 9 pm which is inconvenient since some people travel in late and are hungry. We had to walk two blocks and the first block was fine but then there were a lot of homeless people roaming around setting up at that time. Came back the bar was closed at 10, so I guess because this hotel is located in a bad part of town they close things down early. Also, hidden fees, they charged me 30 dollars for amenity fees, really what amenities and I payed through Expedia and they did not charge me for this nor when I check in did they tell me I had to pay 30 extra dollars for their non existent amenities. Furtheremore, if you have a vehicle that stays there over night its 80 dollars. I have stayed at better hotels in SF and they only charge 50. I wish I could remember the name of the hotel but it was beautiful, room service 24 hrs and no hidden fees. Will never come here nor recommend this horrible place to anyone I know.
Brilliant staff with great knowledge. Just felt a bit unsafe with all the homelessness nearby.
Will stay again.
Relaxing. Staff was amazing!
Nice
Rude front desk person
The room was nice but the front desk woman was bossy & rude to us after I asked why we had to pay extra $110+. Turns out that we had to pay for valet parking ($80+) & “urban fee” ($30+). I would have given this hotel 5/5 stars but they don’t have to be rude when you’re questioning the bill since I’m expecting minimal fees because I used my one key points.
The area was kind of sketchy but that’s just San Francisco, I wish there was more seating around the pool!
Service was awesome
I paid $84 for parking just for not being broken in.
Excellent, get a room w/parking.
Everything about this Hotel is wonderful. The Person upon check-in was the only person of the entire stay that was unfriendly. Perhaps they were having a bad day.
