Great property and location is great especially for shopping and medical appointments

The room I picked out during reservation was not available. Offered me a free breakfast but wasnt noted in my account. I was told breakfast would be available at 6am but nothing was open until 6:30.

Great hotel, very clean and great staff! Highly recommend.

My stay was overall satisfactory. We had a few issues that fill shouldn’t be missed when staying at an elegant plac paying premium prices. Three lights bulbs was shot out. The cleaning staff should make sure everything in the room is in working order.

Best Business Stay

This is by far the best hotel I have stayed for at least the last year, and I have traveled out of country this past year. It is quiet, clean, comfortable. The service is excellent.

Great place to stay for medical center

Needed a hotel near MD Anderson, and chose this one. It was a great choice! Spacious room, nice king bed, large modern shower and bath, 12 minute walk to my appointment in the Mays building. Friendly and helpful staff everywhere, including managerial, front desk, and restaurant. They also checked in by e-mail and text to see if everything was fine for us. They waived the overnight parking fees when they found out we were here for a medical appointment! Restaurant food is not gourmet, but it was quite good and they do not charge gourmet prices either. To be fair, you have to drive 30 minutes (about 6 miles) to find a better restaurant. We would absolutely stay here again.

The InterContinental Houston rooms are very comfortable and are cleaned daily. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Also, the restaurant menu and drink choices are excellent.

Perfect Stay 💕

The stay was perfect from start to finish. Check in was a breeze, and the room was decked with luxurious amenities from the Byredo bathroom products to the softest terry cloth robe with matching slippers. I ordered room service and the meal delivery was prompt and seamless. I thought the food and coffee from the adjacent restaurant were a bit pricey but was totally worth it for the convenience. The hotel’s proximity to the Museum District and the cool, hipster shopping and restaurants in Montrose made the value of this hotel the best part for me. They even extended my check out time so I could indulge in more sight seeing without any issues. I appreciate the staff of this establishment so much. Book the stay!

Really convenient to business in the area. Rooms were clean and comfortable even though the location is a busy area the evening was quiet. I’ll definitely stay here again.

No coffee in the rooms

Overall lovely hotel however a couple things of note - There's no coffee in the rooms. Just espresso. We had to go down to the coffee bar every morning to buy a plain cup of coffee. We did have mold in the shower.

Was a different price than the website. Had to change rooms because of the noise in the room. Price was not 165 it was 199. Would like some compensation.

Hotel was great. Staff was attentive. Text msg upon arrival making sure room was good. Amenities in room A . The water kettle an added bonus. Not a fan of the commual pump shamoo & soap. The not good...the 4 added taxes & fees at check out! Amounted to almost $50 added to nighly rate. The lack of parking (garage) and price $47 for valet, $37 for self is excessive. Considering there are no other parking options and additional room fees & taxes approximately $100 per night is something to be aware of when booking this property. The hotel is great but close to $400 for 1 night with fees...not that nice.

Don’t stay

Terrible service! There’s only 1 person at the front desk, the hotel has at least 300 rooms. Room service never answered, and when I spoke with the lady in the front desk they could send a cereal to my room. I ordered Uber eats and they couldn’t bring it to my room as well. Rooms are bad decorated, toilette has no door, noisy walls. Overall experience terrible.

I tried using the pool and I was with a guest with a disability. The pool’s ada access arm was not working and didn’t seem the hotel kept up with the arm. Technician was nice and tried to get it working but was unsuccessful.

The hotel is beautiful, good decors and nice restaurant and bar , was there with my wife for our wedding anniversary, It’s convenient to a lot of places… I could give it 5 stars but the valet is so bad and unprofessional , they stand there no one come to take the car you have to get out and go get them so annoying but staff of the hotel are friendly and super helpfull… the room’s bed lights were so dusty for whole four days we stayed, we even called the room services for cleaning but didn’t touch it so I don’t know … but overall our stay was great and I recommend!

My first stay here

My stay was good for the most part. I had to go to the front desk for a few billing issues, but they took care of the issues. The pool wasn't clean. So i didn't get to utilize that amenity. Breakfast buffet was good. Overall service was great.

I loved the atmosphere of the hitel. It was bright and calming. The staff was friendly. I however did not like the fact that you needed to pay 25 dollars for a microwave.

Pool was very dirty, they charge 30 per person for normal 2 star regular hotel breakfast “buffet” which I find ridiculous. Other than that, it’s pretty nice and staff is friendly.

Convent, clean, comfortable and lounge was a plus.

There was food in the bed and on the walls. Next room had blood on the sheets. The couch had stains, maybe water stains. The wallpaper was peeling and had mold growing. The restraunt where the booths are located, the shelf under the large artwork was dusty. This place is not sanitized or cleaned that well. We picked this establishment because of how the website advertises every room is sanitized, as well as high traffic places. The restraunt food was mediocre. Would never stay here with my family for medical procedures.

I think I’m pretty fair when it comes to my hotel reviews but I really didn’t like this hotel. It is NOT a 4.5 Star place in my opinion. Facilities are limited no store to buy items, no food after 10 so essentially no room service. I was unhappy in my selection of this facility

The InterContinental is the perfect place to stay. The hotel is elegant and pristine, its in a nice area, there is always staff present and willing to help so it feels safe.

Only problem was that the bathroom sink was a little too high for me. (I'm 5'5".). Also, the stopper in the sink wasn't working great so the sink tended to collect water.

Super noisy from the running elevator day and night, and some lights in the room doesn’t work! It’s not worthy to spend so much money to stay here !

The room smelled like pets but did appear that is was clean. I had a check in time of 3pm and had to come back twice to check in. So I wasn’t able to check in until nearly 6pm

I love staying at this hotel because the service is outstanding and it smells good too! Food is great at the restaurant as well

There transportation shuttle was always 30-60 minutes late picking us up. I wouldn't have been upset if they would just be truthful yet they would say they'd be there in 15-20 minutes. Ender up ordering a Lyft a couple times. The shuttle is not affiliated with the hotel.

Dated and not as nice as other Intercontinental hotels.

We enjoyed the stay

Very comfy bed, clean rooms, nice staff. However, the food is atrocious. First stay i ordered from the restaurant downstairs through room service and the food was cold and tasteless. The second time, I ordered room service breakfast. I only ended up eating the toast because the eggs were clearly not fresh and full of fillers, sausage smelled strange, just bad all around. Worse than cafeteria food. The hotel needs to do MUCH better with food especially considering the exorbitant prices. I ordered uber eats rest of my stay.
