Great stay overall with some issues

Overall a wonderful hotel. Excellent location, very close to the Prophet's Mosque. Good breakfast but could do with more meat options and better quality coffee and pastries. There were some issues with the room, listed below: 1. The in-room safe did not work at all. We told Guest Relations but nothing was done for the entire time we were there. 2. We were 3 guests, 2 adults and a child. However many times they only put 2 towels in the bathroom and we needed to call to get more. 3. The bathroom was not cleaned well at all, especially the shower. 4. Sometimes the cups in the room were not washed, dirty cups were left there.

Not the property fault they had a construction activities next door. Also the place is outdated needs renovation. Food option was sub standard we ended up eating else where .

Great hotel, excellent location

Great hotel, very close to the Prophet's Mosque. Check-in was smooth and the concierge brought our bags to our room promptly. The in-room safe does not work - no power and it is not attached to anything. We informed guest relations of this and nothing was done about it.

We absolutely loved the hotel, the housekeeping was amazing. Breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious. The location was perfect. Everything was absolutely perfect until we checked out and the bell boy “older man” came to get the luggage. The bell boy was very unprofessional and bad.

Everything was wonderful about our stay. The best part was they let us check in early and it was so much appreciated after our long flight. The suite was huge and so comfortable. Staff was so helpful and kept asking us if we needed more water or anything else. Will come again for sure. Location was ideal too. One suggestion, for the price the decor looks a bit dated, so updating interior would be nice!

Overall very good

We booked this hotel while planning our first visit to Saudi Arabia. As non-Muslims in a holy city, we wanted to stay with a trusted hotel chain in case we needed help navigating the city. The rooms looked nice online, and the ratings were good, so we decided to give it a try despite the high price. Firstly, I want to commend the staff, who were excellent and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. However, the room itself was disappointing—it was dark, uninviting, and had a noticeable smell of mold. While we weren’t expecting luxury, unfortunately, the overall condition of the property did not meet our expectations.

Everything was absolutely perfect until we checked out and the bell boy “older man” came to get the luggage. He had a dirty eye and was scratching his private parts as I was riding down the elevator, I was reluctant to ride alone with him but then thought it is Prophet’s mosque, men should be behaving. And then when giving money as tip, he purposely touched my hand twice. Very unprofessional, intercontinental should not have employees like this. Just so the management knows, he was a bit older and this was about 1am Monday morning. Please discipline him.

The hotel location is great. We enjoyed our stay very much. The best thing about this hotel is the service level all staff are great from reception to room service and cleaning. They come to check if anything is missing or if we need anything. Free Saudi coffee and dates are always available in the lobby which is a nice touch. Perfect Location, spacious, friendly staff

Hotel was in perfect location, literally a 5 min walk directly to the mosque. Outside the mosque is the famous little global village huts. Hotel room was clean and very spacious and so was the bathroom, staff were super helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend for a stay in Madinah

Our stay was excellent. The staff were always ensuring that we were happy and comfortable with our stay. The cleaning staff were great and always ensured we had everything we needed. As a nice gesture the front staff sent us a plate of fruit. The breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of variety every morning. Couldnt fault our stay

Hotel is in an excellent location and in very close proximity to the Haram. There are several amazing dining options very near. Great location for female travelers as there are many amazing female staff at the hotel reception, Khadija was very helpful during our stay. The building itself especially the bathroom definitely needs an upgrade.

This is not a IHG hotel.

I’ve stayed at many hotels and I like this hotel very much. No matter what race or color you are you’ll get treated V.I.P. Mohammed Ali help me with my bags a distance away and treated me with hospitality. Women at the reception desk are friendly and made check in and check out easy. They always provided me with fresh fruit and dates and tea. Very close to Al masjid Al Nabawi. Plus rates are good. Win win win across the board.

Good location. Walking distance to Haram 5 mins. Need modern infrastructure

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Masjid e Nabawi. It has a small cozy room and the staff at that hotel are very friendly. Two specific area land they can improve in is 1. Making sure that breakfast area is clean because there were flies in the breakfast area. 2. The hotel need some maintenance work. The shower leaked/broke twice during my stay. They changed the first time but it broke again during my stay on last day.

Allhamduliah we had a WONDERFUL stay at this hotel. All the staff went above and beyond - the best experience in Saudi Hotel for us. Allhamduliah. We had a 3 bedroom suite it was HUGE, CLEAN and comfortable. The entire staff was extremely helpful, professional from the bell boy to the cleaning crew , front office , breakfast attendants - everyone was AMAZING and KIND. Excellent location ! Loved the fact that it’s not a huge hotel so it’s they give you a very personalized service . Staff remembers you and caters to you. If I could just mention one thing for improvement- room was a little outdated - but I think they are planning renovations soon . Will definitely stay again and always !

It was a nice area, but the property is old fashioned. The atmosphere of the room wasn't pleasant and the toilet door knob was bad hard to lock and unlock.

Nice hotel for a quick Umra

On this recent one-day visit, I hardly spent any time in the room. However, the hotel still left a positive impression with its cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location near the Haram in Madina. Ideal for a quick Umra and comfortable stay.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and the staff was extremely helpful. I needed to extend my check out time for 2 hours and they granted me that free of charge. Special thanks for miss Shahd at the reception desk and all staff members.

Walling distance from Masjid Al Nabawi and surrounded by food stalls and shops. Breakfast options vary in many options. The cleaning staff were very polite and respectful too.

Very welcoming

Really run down property-not worth the money

We stayed at this property-having booked 5 days at a premium price— thinking it is a 5 star hotel as advertised but the pictures are misleading. Apart from the reception area, the hotel is really run down, unsafe, with significant wear and tear, mold in the bathrooms with dysfunctional drains, stained carpets, walls and floor. The overhead shower doesn’t get hot water, the tubs don’t drain. In many cities, they would have forced the hotel to close due to health concerns. The hotel needs extensive renovation which they are apparently planning in the future. No cosmetic touch up or cleaning by crew will resolve their issues. We looked into changing to another room but it was all the same. The rooms are big but not maintained and the bathrooms are especially disgusting. The location of the hotel is good as it is 10min walking distance from the prophets mosque. Breakfast was decent. The management offered us a free meal after we complained to them. The manager, Mr Basim eventually promised to refund a day of our stay. This has not happened so will see. Overall, it does not deserve a 5-star badge and it is shocking that they are an intercontinental hotel.

Bathrooms could be cleaner

The hotel was very clean and conveniently located to food outlets and walkable distance to the Prophets Mosque. The decor is a bit dated, but the hotel has plans for updating it soon. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was grand but the bread offerings were a little lacking for my taste.

Very safe

We like our stay because of the location closed to Masjid Nabawi. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everyone is doing their best for the guests. The hotel need a lot of upgrading. The breakfast buffet need a lot improvement and the Chef in charge need to change the breakfast menu and not serving the same food every day and to make sure the quality of the food is good. For example the falafel was soggy not crispy the same for samosa.

Property is in need for an extreme makeover. Overall, the building/rooms are in very poor condition. There is construction happening in some areas of the hotel producing a lot of dust and noise. Breakfast options were boring and repetitive. The staff members are the heart of this place. Will not return if the hotel does not change drastically.

Good choice - excellent stay

Though old construction but still was good maintained. No rush on lifts before or after prayers. Less than 5 mins stright walk to Masjid e nabwi through gate 336. Staff was also helpful, polite and well mannered. Daily room makeup without asking. Will stay again next time.

Good hotel, close distance to masjid al nabawi. Only complaint was kids running around in some floors at night. I suppose thats not really something on the hotel. Breakfast wasnt amazing but good enough

Superbly located to be near the Prophet pbuh mosque - about 3mins walk. The male entrance is closer, females entrance about 5mins walk. Near to food places, shopping and big bus tour. Room could have been cleaned in corners, but overall pleasant. Breakfast good option.

Great hotel great service great breakfast and great cleaning staff

Room assigned was next to where major floor construction / remodeling was going on. All morning I could hear loud hammering and construction equipment. Obviously given the noise level I was unable to sleep. Secondly, the room air conditioning was not able to cool the room. I reported the issue to the front desk and they had sent a tech to check. Despite the tech check, the air conditioner did not cool the room. On the positive side the buffet breakfast was good and hotel staff was friendly.

Fantastic hotel and service Cleaners were very good Concierge- Mohammed’s ali and johuruddine and the rest of their team were fantastic Only one issue which need addressing - reception seemed undfriendly teach him to smile and be polite and one of the staff in breakfast was very rude and unhelpful. I did complain to the manager
