Everything was perfect and I enjoyed relaxing in this hotel a lot.
It's very quite.
The one to one personal service you received from the staff. From the welcome picture which front desk Leitani took for us upon arrival. To the chefs which were wonderful to share recipes and the amazing BBQ and show. All in all a perfect Tahitian vacation!!! Come you won’t regret it!!!! Maururuuru!!!!!
Beautiful water villa
Me encanto el servicio de este hotel, Recomendado al 100 Servicio de 5 estrellas
We were very impressed with the cleanest and how very helpful the housekeepers were well as those in charge of stocking the coffee, etc. The waitresses were very nice and offering to show us where to seat.
This was the best resort I've ever stayed at. The staff was amazing and accommodating for my entire visit. The views of Mt. Otemanu are the best out of any resort on the island. This is the place to stay in all of Bora Bora. Thank you to the entire InterContinental team for making our stay so special.
Must See
Amazing views of Bora Bora with the clearest water! You can snorkel on-site, eat at multiple restaurants and explore the gorgeous grounds. We have a great stay!
Every one of the staff members was so amazing and kind. I appreciated the free room upgrade. The accommodations were top notch, I love the free snacks and drinks in the room. I also loved that people come around to the pool and beach area to see if you need drinks. The property has the best view in Bora Bora!
The staff were very friendly, the over water bungalow was amazing. Food was very expensive for ehat you got but overall was a great trip
I really enjoyed our stay at this property. The overwater bungalow was good sized and nicely furnished. The staff was top notch. The grounds were beautiful with stunning views. Snorkeling off our balcony didn’t have much fish life. We had just come from Moorea Hilton where it was fantastic. However our OWB at Hilton was run down, small, AC broke and drained water all over floor. The comparison of resort luxury between the two has Thalasso still way above. Snorkeling tours cured our need to see more fish. The Thalasso gives you a VIP feeling experience right off the plane. Can’t wait to return.
Great for a honeymoon
It’s a great hotel with great services! Staff is very friendly and provides excellent service from day one until we leave! Our villa faces Mt. Otemanu and the view is gorgeous. Just sitting on the deck and watching sunset feels so peaceful and relaxing. In the morning we walk 5 minutes to the other side of the motu (pacific ocean side) to watch sunrise! The hotel makes everything so convenient to the customers. Our family really enjoyed our stay at Inter Continental!
Staff from the main restaurant (Reef) were super friendly and helpful. Bar/pool staff was welcoming and accommodating.
Great experience
Not a good hotel to stay, please avoid it
We arrived 12:30pm. Front desk said it may take minutes to get ready. I asked how long, she said we don’t know. So we have to wait in the very hot and humid situation until 5 minutes to 3pm . I got very upset then she said wait 5 minutes your room be ready. The hotel was only half full! She had us wait until exactly 3pm to get us in! And they also charged $170 for us two, one way boat transport to airport, this is without letting us know! While other hotels are free or charge $20 per person! Also $40 round trip if you want to visit their sister hotel. I want to call a local tour company, she said you need to pay. Ok, how much? She said I don’t know. I said if you are going to charge me, you need to tell me how much per minute. Then later the manager came and called the tour company for me without charging. And the buffet breakfast has many foods, but hundreds of flies flying around the food. I have never seen any restaurant has so many flies, even in Cambodia countryside. The hotel is running down, avoid it if you can.
Staff very rude. Not willing yo help
Excellent
Exelente
Excellent
Excelente el hotel estuve allí con mi hijo y disfrutamos mucho , la comida muy rica y muy buen servicio, muy limpio. El atardecer y amanecer es hermoso, el hotel en todo su conjunto es muy lindo, el mar divino.
Excellent in every possible way. An absolute dream of a resort!
beauty, quiet, service, room service
Loved everything about this resort , the staff are happy and so welcoming. Will definitely visit next year. Mauruuru
This resort is like paradise on Earth. We had an overwater villa with the Otemanu View and it was absolutely incredible. We had the option to either stay on our terrace or enjoy their beach. Everything was spotless, the food was delicious, the staff absolutely friendly. This was the best decision we ever made for our honeymoon.
Amazing property with the best customer service. They care about safety of all there customers.
Amazing people here! Always greeting you with a smile! Service is top notch and room service has been stunning! Would recommend this resort to any and all!
Awesome peppery and kept very clean! Service and staff were really great!
We loved this resort and the staff. This place is a paradise.
Great but also disappointing!
This resort is amazing! It’s beautiful and the staff is so polite and helpful! However, our beds were so hard and uncomfortable! Not what I was expecting with such a high-end resort. And the food was SO disappointing! The selection is very minimal, the prices are ridiculous, and the food just does not taste good. The breakfast buffet was delicious though. I also really liked the special touches they provided my kids and the cake and champagne provided for my birthday. I was also disappointed in my villa. I paid extra for a room with a pool and a “lagoon view” but all you get is the side of the lagoon and half of the beach. Not a true lagoon view.
This property is beautiful and the staff are hardworking and kind. The overwater bungalows are luxurious and everything you are hoping for. I felt like the dining options left something to be desired. For the price I expected much more. The food was less inventive than I could get at home but 3x the cost. My recommendation would be to order most of your meals as room service and enjoy your room. One breakfast is more than enough for two, for example, and nothing beats the view from your room. One word of warning just generally for those coming to bora bora and staying at the large resorts—the experience feels very « canned ». I think a lot of ppl coming here like that—they don’t want to experience another culture or learn new things about the area etc, they want to stay in their insulated bubble and that’s fine, but just know that that’s what this is. It’s beautiful, luxurious, and made specifically for outsiders to relax and not see any of the « real » bora bora, kinda like White Lotus lol. If you’re not that kind of traveler, I would suggest splitting your time here and at another island like taha’a, which is what we did. We stayed on a motu there for a few days and on bora bora for a few days and did both, and met some great friends and had some unique experiences. Overall, would recommend this resort!
Amaxmzing location and staff
we had mixed service at this hotel. some of staff very helpful and provided excellent service ( Ralph at pool and beach) but very often when we asked for something the answer was a quick “no”. for example on return to boat dock we asked for ride to our bungalow and we’re told no because they were waiting for boat from airport. instead they should have said we have to stay but will call you another cart. another example was when all the beach lounge chairs were full, my daughter was told sorry we can’t get you a chair. when she complained someone did get the chairs. one day told she could get not food served at beach but again with complaining after seeing other guests being served they did serve us and all of the other guests. the property is so beautiful but staff need some training on providing exceptional service. be aware when you arrive you are told not to walk outside the grounds as the local dogs roam free and have bitten guests. our wait to check in was extremely long as there was only one person checking in
For the class and price this hotel is terrible value for money. It’s a tired property, Hegler overpriced and they nickel and dime on everything: room service carries an extra $20 call out fee
Breathtaking views in overwater bungalows with a wonderful staff.
Fleas and attitude from Intercontinental Bora Bora
The facility of the bungalow is old and food is so so. Water is clean and beautiful. However the receptionist service is unfriendly and gave us attitude when we need help. We considered they want to get rid of their responsibilities when I got bitten by the fleas and requested to change the room. How disappointing it is !
Everything was perfect! From personalized treats for the kids to the service! Absolutely a must!!
The staff in the reception are not giving us fully information. We suppose to have the VIP credit to use but they didn’t mention it during the check-in time. We have to paid our own bill for lunch and dinner.
Beautiful setting in a spectacular area. Friendly staff available to help at any time. $45 sandwiches and $30 drinks add up, but there’s nowhere else to go.
I stayed at both intercontinental and four season for this trip. No matter from facilities to the services, four season is far better than intercontinental. I will never come back to intercontinental bora bora again. The wifi is spotty, there is no farewell greetings. The welcome greeting is not as nice. The water and sands are not well maintained. The food was so so and the services not as attentive. The staff are not as friendly. They also charge for shuttle service to the airport. I would rather pay slightly more to stay at four season.
Amazing, check in needs help
Absolutely beautiful property and stunning villa (as should be for the price). My only complaint was the check in. We arrived by boat from the airport with three other couples. They were immediately given cool towels and drinks and taken off by golf carts to their rooms. We sat there for over an hour with no explanation, no towels, no drinks. For over $1650 a night i expect better service. Rest of the trip was great. Super friendly staff. Loved swimming at night off the over the water villa, memories of a lifetime.
Lovely resort. We went for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. Staff is amazing. Over the water bungalows are really nice. We thought the food was ok, but everything else made up for it. Would highly recommend.
The resort was breathtaking and peaceful yes you can the world behind and just enjoy living.
Great place to be, staff are awesome!
Fabulous property in a fabulous location! Waters are so blue. Room and beds are sooooo comfortable!
Location Location Location!. Having said that, the property was immaculate! The upkeep and maintenance in a challenging environment were amazing.
It was really inconsiderate to contact us 24 hours before our stay to let us know that you guys wanted to rebook us at another property in a completely different island due to limited staff. Then said we can come but expect that resort won’t have all amenities and then do nothing to compensate us.
The staff was so friendly but the resort itself is a little boring. The overwater bungalows were overpriced, oddly laid out. Not comfortable inside and the outside was laid out very oddly, no shade on the deck and in such shallow water that my son couldn’t even jump off the deck. Just kind of a disappointment given how expensive they were. On a motu, which we knew but very expensive getting to and from bora. If you just want to go and stay at the resort, that isn’t an issue but we wanted to see Bora. Don’t go if you’re budget conscious at all or if you want to explore. Much better options on Bora itself.
The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s an amazing and magical place!
Loved the thalasso. Best AC. Really nice staff. Not the best coral but had good snorkeling.
Our over the water Villa and view were amazing! The staff, the grounds, the spa - fantastic! One (but kinda big deal) issue: depending on where you ate, the food went from just average to practically inedible. Coincidentally, we met another couple after our stay, but before we left Bora Bora, who had the same experience. We’d love to go back, but the food issue needs to get resolved.
Aside from its obvious beauty, I was impressed by the fact that they filter the lagoon water and make it drinkable and upon walking around the property, they also have an organic garden used for the restaurants. The staff remembers and each address you by your name. On our last day, one of the Reef staff actually chased us and gave us a hug. We are already planning our return next year.
the most beautiful property especially to watch the sunset!
5 star
Absolutely beautiful. Everyone is polite, over the top helpful and eager to please.
Amazing property and excellent service. Highly recommend!
Amazing 5 Star Experience!
Amazing hotel with a truly 5 star experience. Service was 10/10 -- staff were extremely friendly and polite. Buffet breakfast was amazing with all the variety and personalization you would need. Our overwater bungalow was very large with an amazing deck area over the water. The only slight complaint was that it was quite windy while we were there and the bungalow made some whistling noise at night. Free use of paddleboards/snorkels/kayaks were great, and the hotel also had a lagoonarium with hundreds of exotic fish you could snorkel with. Not a big surprise, but some of the hotel charges felt a little stingy. For example, it is ~$35 per person to take a short ferry to the main island, and the airport boat transfer was a little pricey - I felt they should have been included.
Awesome stay
Awesome all the way around
Thalasso has by far the best view angle of Mount Otemanu in my opinion, which makes this place magical and special from other resorts in Bora Bora. Staffs are friendly and made you feel welcome wherever you go. OWB décor is a bit outdated and some furniture might need some repairs, but overall it still has its charm. Very disappointed there's no fish around our OWB and we see nothing thru our glass-bottom coffee table....I mean what's the point if there's no fish swim under the glass-bottom table? Our check-in experience with Steve (their front desk manager) was very disappointed as well. After he heard us want to take the free ferry from mainland (Vaitape) to airport, instead of direct hotel boat from Thalasso to airport ($80/person), he dropped his face and didn't care to give us any more information regarding our stay in Thalasso, very unpleasant experience especially you just checked-in to the resort with all that excitement and hype. Glad Sarah made up for Steve's rudeness thru her wonderful guide tour when taking us to our OWB with the resort golf cart. Overall, their staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Amazing location, property & staff! Only suggested improvement is food quality. It's expensive which might be unavoidable - regardless of price, the food was really sub par. Often overcooked, under seasoned, tiny portions - we tried the different restaurants over 6 nights and couldn't find one dish we would re-order. Might be the only reason why we wouldn't return. Everything else, esp the staff, was fantastic!
We got the bungalow overlooking lagoon and the volcano. Each and every room has an awesome view including our back deck. I never wanted to leave. Food was “ok” even the special multiple course meal at the Corail were just so so .. the dessert was excellent though. Breakfast had a decent variety of food which was nice. The lady cooking the omelette section was coughing up a storm both mornings we were there and NOT wearing any masks .. not so nice. The corals in the lagoon were either dead or just not healthy enough to attract any fish (exception was near the spa) so this is the only downside (compared to the Hilton in Moorea) Every single staff was friendly and accommodating.. we would totally recommend this place to any friends or families wishing to visit Bora Bora. Bora bora mai tai was one of the best drinks there.
Just amazing on every aspects!
Amazing location and view! It's really just as beautiful as on the postcard... The service was just perfect to our taste. Edouard and Marie welcomed us warmly and we felt so well cared for from the shuttle to our installation. One thing that they missed: our bungalow wasn't ready when we arrived (in the morning) and they didn't tell us we could have access to a "transit room", so we enjoyed the pool and the lagoon from the land in the meantime as we didn't know we could have had access to our luggage. We also didn't know when the bungalow would be ready (we were told we'd have an email, but instead we showed up at the reception at 3pm and they told us it was ready). Other than this detail, the service was perfect everywhere, the food was amazing, the spa was perfect, stand up paddle and kayak are available, we just loved it all along! Also 12pm every day is a new activity on the pool side, yesterday was a demonstration of cooking Polynesian raw fish, with tasting included :)
Loved the bungalow, infinity pool, beach, views, staff, service, basically everything about the place!
Great location, beautiful accommodations, exceptional service
A true paradise!! Gorgeous resort! Amazing views and excellent service! Love love our overwater bungalow. Exceptional
Beautiful faculties but service could be better
Location is superb, no other hotel can beat its view. Staff was super friendly and courteous, the pool and oceanfront were amazing. Room was EXTRA spacious. Cons - we travelled as a family. Rooms, although spacious, lacked privacy (except for a curtain between living room and bedroom). And food lacked variety. FP is certainly not a culinary destination. We didn’t dine at the Corail restaurant (which apparently is the best in Bora Bora), because it was booked a couple weeks ahead, so we can’t speak for it. Pros- they had daily treats for the kids, delivered to our room, which was a nice touch. Kids felt special. Very clean. Great experience overall. Would recommend.
The best of the best
An amazing world-class resort. We stayed in an over water bungalow and it was a wonderful experience. The room was amazing - the location could not be any better! The staff were very friendly and warm. I highly recommend this resort to anyone!
I like everything.
Absolutely loved this property, amazing friendly staff and very tidy and clean. Would highly recommend this property. Looking forward to visiting again one day.
So huge expectations for a 5 star resort. The grounds; room; view; area; set-up were all top notch. Easy transportation to resort, though why should it cost more than the local taxi? Bungalows were wonderful; shower; bed; pool; access to the water; all pristine and 5 star caliber. We indulged in the spa 2x which was wonderful. Took 2 excursions; snorkeling and swimming with sharks and Helicopter ride which were amazing. Shout out to Rita at concierge desk for her attention to details and Paul at front desk. Checkout at customary 11:00; but not leaving resort til 1:45, Paul put us in day room the whole time where previously we were only given 1:00-1:45, they have over 12 day rooms so why that wasn't the case from the beginning? Staff were super friendly the entire time and and brought things to bungalow immediately and i mean immediately. The views; the waves crashing; the serenity; the water are lifetime experiences. I think the resort has the Four Seasons beat on location and views. Now, the one major issue is FOOD/food options. The Food was good, not 5 star GREAT! Breakfast was the best; nice options, croissants, mochas were heavenly; juices/fruits all wonderful with nice hot dish options. Keep it real; Ask for box to go and fill up on some snacks; bread; lunch for later. There are only 3 food options on grounds. For the $$$$ The upscale restaurant is Good, NOT great. same with lunch option. A $30 hamburger should be great, not good; that goes for all food
Best hotel stay I’ve ever had
Fantastic service and stay overall! Everyone was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service always. They noted and remembered dietary restrictions for 2 people. Always smiles.
The staff was top class. Very personable and made us feel right at home
It is a very, very nice resort! Service is great and friendly! Room view is excellent and large space with living area. Food is very good also, but it is little expensive.
Hands down the best vacation ever!
Absolutely amazing location. Service has been great and food options were fresh and delicious. The spa was worth every dollar and the massages were took notch. Look forward to going back.
Everything was awesome. Excellent staff
Like everything. But, the Tahitian dancers could use a narrator in the background and dances should tell the story of tahiti (bora-bora)
Thank you Heimana Peters and entire staff There is nothing to say about this place but straight amazing. The whole staff was absolutely nothing short of amazing. Heimana the front office manager made sure every little detail beyond expectations was met. The head of housekeeping went above and beyond to every request and detail. The pool and bar staff were the nicest and coolest people. My partner and I where completely thrilled and blown away by the property and staff and we cannot wait to come back!
Perfect anniversary stay with our children.
Extremely clean room and facilities. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They made our anniversary very special and we're so kind to our children. Breathtaking views of the lagoon and Motu from everywhere in the resort. The kids enjoyed the included kayaks & paddle boards and snorkeling in the secluded coral lagoon.
We had a great time with just relaxing. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The lunch nenu can be expanded to include more selections.
Stunning location, beautiful rooms, serene
Amazing resort !
Had an amazing stay at this property! From the time we arrived and were greeted, staff was attentive, professional and went above and beyond. Management was very receptive and always available when needed. They were always greeting us and making sure we were completely satisfied. Property was gorgeous and well maintained. There were reasonable dining options and food was pretty good. We also had a private dining experience and the staff took it to the next level making it special, intimate and unforgettable. The overwater bungalows were spacious and nice and the plunge pools were magnificent. We highly recommend Intercontinental Thalasso Bora Bora!
This resort is breath taking. It’s like heaven on earth!!! The villas are beautiful, the staff was outstanding l. I highly recommend this resort.
This is an incredible property and the room pictures don’t do it justice. Every room is spectacular! The staff is exceptional.
Amazing property, but private room pool is really cold
Great
Excellent location with stunning views of the mountain! Well maintained property and delicious food!
Truly amazing and an unique experience!
I truly enjoyed my stay at the hotel! The hotel was great, but not perfect. First what I did not like is the beach which was super coral rocky and small. As a sand lover I definitely did not enjoy that. Water colors were truly amazing! But I only wish it was a little bit warmer. Every morning and every night the water became pretty cold, and it was not very comfortable to stay there for a long time. I really liked the hotel’s swimming pool which was pretty big and perfectly clean every single day. The hotel has a few restaurants. Every single day I went to the restaurant right next to the swimming pool for lunches and dinners because the hotel is pretty isolated. 3 issues with this restaurant are first the menu was the same every day and small. Second, everything there was super overpriced. Third, the food was not super tasty, it was just okay. So I was not impressed by this restaurant. My bungalow (#237) was awesome! It has so much space inside! Basically it was a full house with a big living room, big bedroom, a big bathroom, a separate room for a toilet, a small walk-in closet and a big 2 level balcony with direct access to the water. The bungalow was completely updated and perfectly clean. The King-Size Bed was super comfortable. The bathroom had a super big shower stall and a nice bathtub right next to the window. Wi-Fi was working super fast, but I often lost the connection which was pretty sad. All hotel’s staff was super friendly and nice.
We loved staying here! Everyone was happy and helpful!
The staff and entertainment were all very nice. Loved petting the sting rays and feeding them. The huts were fantastic and a dream.
Great staff and wonderful facilities! Had a lot of fun and the view was amazing.
Paradise island
The perfect place. Stayed in otemanu view villa. Very big villas. Food expensive...
Thalasso review.
The overall room and property were excellent with iconic views of the mountain and water at one of the best Bora Bora locations. They need to improve the hotel cuisine.
Location, spa is beautiful, and reasonably priced considering location.
The Brando suite was fantastic experience and the staff was great
Intercontinental Thalasso
Overall stay was good. The restaurant service was sometimes hit or miss with the attentiveness of the waiters. The property charged for a lot of frivolous things- such as, coffee pods, overly expensive boat (shuttle) rides. It would’ve been nice if the property offered free boat rides between the two intercontinental properties on the island. Otherwise, beautiful property. The bungalows were amazing and everyone was nice.
Picture perfect location in BoraBora, beautiful hotel with very profesional personal
Great vacations spot!
