Good hotel, shame about the Wi-Fi

Good hotel and good service. In fact we proved that by choosing to extend our 2-day stay. The only (and most important) thing that let the hotel down was its Wi-Fi. It was slow and intermittent. Eventually we asked whether we could have a wired connection. Initially they said that they only had Wi-Fi, but when we complained again, all of a sudden this was possible. With a wired connection, there were no further issues. Good fast Wi-Fi is not a luxury to a lot of people, it's a necessity.

Very convenient to shopping, sights and food.

- Convenient 15-20 mins walk to most tourist attractions such as Dutch Square, Jonker Street - Concierge staff was incredibly helpful in giving us travel directions - Free parking for hotel guests - Room was spacious and decently clean (4 star hotel standards) - We were given a family suite on the high floor and were there on a non-peak period so it was generally quiet. - Interior design furniture and fittings is slightly outdated and worn out but otherwise functional - WIFI connection is good - Wide range of TV channel options, but could not access OTT apps - need to be ‘updated’. - Provided only the necessary toiletries including soap shampoo toothbrush toothpaste bath towels and bath room mat - We did not try their buffet breakfast but opted for the cafe at the ground floor of the hotel. Coffee and American style breakfast was fair for the price. - In overall, the place is suitable for travellers or those with larger families looking for a practical, convenient and spacious accommodation for an economical price. Will not be suitable for those expecting the luxury aesthetics and services of your typical 5/6 star hotel.

The bathroom was dark and tiny

Paklawan Square is just opposite. A lot of restaurants nearly. Also, the A'Farmosa is within walking distance.

Overall a good stay for 2 nights

Clean room & comfy bed. Walking distance to famous tourist spots ie A' Famosa Fort, St. Paul's Hill, Menara Taming Sari and malls Pahlawan & Mahkota Parade.

Chose another hotel if you have the budget

Room aircon keep leaking throughout the stay, the check in is very slow, when there is people cut queue, the staff will say they have registered before but when look closely they are doing the same procedure as a new check in.

Spacious & Value for Money

The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and clean with a small kitchenette.

The room assigned has no window. Hence the rooms has some stale due to insufficient air circulation. The reception check in is efficient and helpful.

The hotel is located near shopping malls and near to Jonker Walk.Veru convenient.However, the room needs updating as our curtain has many holes and the light gets through the curtain.The toilet is dirty and the gym is not functionable.

We had a pleasant stay. All the staff were very friendly. Efficient front office staff, checking in and out was fast. However the property seems a bit old though.

A good place to stay right in the city Center of Melaka.

1. The sink in the toilet clogs every time we use and it takes time to unclog. 2. There were cockroaches in the toilet and dressing table

This hotel is quite old and maintenance is needed such as lift, amenities holder at the shower area. However, the room cleanliness was good. Air con was strong and cooling.

The staff were very polite and accommodating. Found the property a little too old, not up kept , like the air conditioning and even lightings in rooms were a little too dim

It was the most disappointing stay i have ever had in Malaysia the bathroom was just atrocious with water from the shower flooding the bathroom and toilet floor every time you had a shower the bed was so short my legs hung over the end of the bed. And the stalf wanted to charge extra for towels to mop up the floors this is in now way a four star hotel please read all the bad reviews on Google i wish i had don't expect this to be a good hotel you have been warned

Great location, good accommodations

The imperial heritage is a very striking building in the heart of downtown Malacca, which makes it a great base for sightseeing, shopping and dining. Inside, the hotel is a borderline 4 star. The lobby a bit small and dated, the rooms spacious but a tad old fashioned. Or as some would say, authentic to an age. Just that age is the 1980s, which was great for music but not so much for design. Still we booked the family suite and it was really spacious, clean, had nice views a kitchenette and two twin bedrooms. Which for some is the most important thing.

Is very convenient and many eateries around the area. But the previous occupiers smoked in the room and left a bad smell.

the items in the room are not in good condition. The toilet cabinet is quite dirty and has woodworms, which is very dangerous for children. the room is quite dusty as if it is not well maintained. because before I was very satisfied with this hotel. This is the 3rd time I choose this hotel. please do something so that bad things don't happen.

The hotel room is above average for its price and cleanliness is good. Air con seems old but it is working well. Toilet basin was leaking below, and they use the dustbin catch the drip. It's a heritage hotel, so my expectations weren't that high, just hope that they improve on that.

Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I like it that the Check in and out is a breeze.

2-Nite Imperial

Nice view from the room esp in corner room. Can see the view and waterway of Malacca. Near to food and shopping mall

During check-in I reminded the counter staff that I had reservation sometime 2019/2020 which was postponed due to Covid-19, and she told me that she will check with reservation as I told her that Expedia had been emailing them about this matter but with no response. Till we check-out there was no response from the counter staff. On the first day we went out at 11am and was back at 5.30pm and to our disappointment the room was not cleaned. Called the front office, lady counter staff said she will inform the housekeeping and waited till 6.05pm no show from housekeeping and when I called the front office again a guy answered and said the lady staff had had left for home. From then on everyday before leaving I had to go and looked for housekeeping staff and remind them to clean our room. The door-man Hussein and Ali were very approachable and helpful and obliging too. If we ever go back the Imperial it will be for these two staff only.

Very bad hotel

The room is poorly maintained. Toilet is very dirty with unhygienic curtains. The toilet ventilation fan doesn't work. Have to complain then only the maintenance staff came to repair. The room should have been repaired before renting to guest.

Front Desk Staff is helpful n attentative. The cleaner did a good job in tiding the room. Good location to Malls n Restaurants. However the hotel needs some renovation. The room is totally run down. The wallpaper is taddy n shabby. The toilet seat n the shower curtain truthly need immdte replacement. The worst is the wifi never seems works at all......however one can never expect more consider the cheap offer.

the breakfast buffet are very nice , food delicious. regarding location, it was very strategic location, very convenience. for room, it is quite big, but the bathroom are quite small. and we facing shortage of water supply in the hotel. and also water are very yellowish for one day after water supply ok. personally feel that hotel didnt cooldown customer when facing this kind of situation.

I have stayed there before and this time was dismayed at how the hotel had deteriorated in such a short time. Do not stay there it is terrible in every way, we were allocated a room and upon check in found it to be very dirty and mouldy. we requested another room and this granted but it was only slightly better

don't confuse about welcome drink

They showed welcome drink board when I reached hotel but they informed me welcome drink is only during restaurant opening hours. I believed welcome drink is available any time when guests arrived, making me so confuse.

Location of the hotel is very strategic. Near to shopping centres, many eateries and also close to many places of interest. Cannot find any major fault with the hotel.

Seem like there is counter check on things done.

During checking in, we were given a room 1607 which had a damage door. I asked for a room change and was given another room 1111 but the room was below expectation. Would not stay there again. Poor Maintenance and poor housekeeping. Hopefully their management team do somethings to improve the system.

Average hotel

The room was clean but the aircon was very noisy. And also wifi in room is really bad.Carpark was really hard to manuveur the car because it is really small and there were a lot of cars.

Room is big but the parquet flooring not cleaned. Good Location for shopping and tourist attraction. Near coach bus 707 boarding point. Value for money.

The breakfast was great they serve variety of dishes. Location is great near to city area just a walking distance, easy to park your cars as hotel has their own multi-story car park. What upsets me is the room look so dirty there is mould at the walls and furniture was very dusty.

This is not the first stay in Imperial Heritage Hotel.. My family loves Imperial Heritage very much & that is why we will always stay in Imperial Heritage Hotel whenever we visit Malacca. Very convenient,easy access to many places.. Most importantly their Breakfast Is always wide spread... many varieties..

This hotel wasn't that bad comparing my past visits last year and 2 years ago. But this recent visit really given me a bad impression. Waiting for a lift was horrendous, I don't mind if the hotel is old, but guests room MAINTENANCE have to be tidy, neat and clean. Shower head, bidet were almost coming off from the wall, toiletries not provided in full, I only got 1 shower gel, 1 towel & 1 shampoo for 3 paid adults! Apparently I was getting a single room with limited stuff and without a safe, not forgetting asking an extra bed waited for 3 hours and several calls. I understand the hotel is getting a huge flow of customers and housekeeping staff probably were busy, hence while receiving good business please get more staff to provide a good service and don't forget you are selling service not only just room. This is a really bad experience. Since you are having so many guests maybe I should just support another hotel for a chance.

The doormen are wonderful. Smiling always. Ms Choo from f&b was very helpful with info as I was planning a anniversary dinner. But sadly the roaches, dust and 3 lifts for a 19th storey hotel took the shine away from this special trip. Oh not forgetting someone put an extra bed while we were out on the last day in my kids'room despite the DND light was on.

Spacious room

There were insufficient parking lots for hotel guests. Many had to take a risk by parking illegally. The lobby was small, not much seating space so not very comfortable. The breakfast area was very small & was uncomfortable too. The corridor to the hotel room was outdoor & not air conditioned. It gave an impression that this hotel was converted from a residential area. The hotel room was very spacious with a king size bed, single bed & a study area for triple person. Though very near to the shopping area, we had to dash across the road every now & then. I hope they can have proper traffic lights at the junctions/ at least zebra crossings which is safer when traveling with children & elderly.

Relatively ok stay there, but what's makes me wanna go back is the ktv there

There is nothing I like about the property. Whilst it considers itself a hotel, it doesn’t give the feeling it is one. I have never been in one where the corridor is exposed to the elements. It feels more like a motel. From the outside, it appears that the rooms have a balcony. But they are unusable as they are used to house the a/c compressor. Despite the hotel being relatively new, many items in the room are “broken”. The flooring is damaged, the rattan sofa set has totally caved in, the standing ornamental lights are tilting, the screws in the towel racks have come off, and the leaking basin were the bathroom. The wifi is horrendous. Despite multiple attempts at logging in daily and the IT personnel showing up repeatedly, we had no internet connection and had resigned to not having it. In the end, we resorted to using the wifi at the cafes. The lifts are grossly inadequate and the waiting time is unimaginable. In conclusion, the hotel falls far short of any reasonable expectations.

My worse stay in Malacca. Badly maintained with broken cupboards, shower and curtains. Poor service with slow check in, no follow up when complaints of Queen size instead of King size bed stated in booking confirmation. Can't connect to wifi in room. Can't have breakfast when rains as the sheltered area is too small. Will never stay here again.
