Perfect location

Great location - short walk to beach, shopping & restaurants

It was clean and the view from the balcony on the beach side was beautiful. It was easy to find. Staff were friendly.

They provided complimentary drinks and snacks! I’ve never seen this generous hospitality before! Was a lovely surprise! Great location! I would happily stay here again!

Close to main beach

Great view, close to town for dining options.

By far the worst we have stayed at. Third floor unit motel has no lifts. Room dirty no curtains on some windows so very lit up room of a night. Not good will not stay there again.

Staff were very helpful. Lovely gift in our room to welcome us.

Good location to local bowls club for dinner and nice walk to relax near headland

I loved the large bed and the view was stunning. It was a nice touch to offer complimentary room refreshments. The only downside I have to offer is that the rooms are looking in need of refurbishing. This is a minor observation that didn’t effect our stay.

Checking was quick, and the young gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. He even offered to help with our luggage. The property is close to all amenities and offers great views overlooking the coastline

Just pls and run down rooms and building in general. Carpet smelled old.

A little less than expected.

Hotel needs an update.

The of our condition of the hotel room needed some updating. Cabinets and furniture looked were worn. The general cleanliness of the room was not up to par. I’m glad we only had a short one night stay. The view of the ocean and the location of the hotel was great. The staff was very helpful too!

This hotel is located on top of a cliff over looking the ocean. Very nice views. Provided a nice quest package of red wine, water a snacks. Bathroom toilet was small and tight. No elevator, had to carry suit case up three flights of stairs. Room size ok.

An older hotel, a little noisy, but very clean. An added bonus was a bottle of wine and biscuits in our room. There is no elevator, so must carry suitcases upstairs

This property is very central and easy to walk to town. Stunning view. I found the room i stayed in quite outdated for the price and disappointing that others that had the exact same room had wine, chips and chocolate in their room however mine did not.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly.

Definitely NOT a 4 Star property as advertised. After hour checkin worked well. Property needs to be refurnished. Carpet in room was extremely worn and soiled.

Beautiful room with an incredible view! No elevator so be prepared to go up and down a couple of flights of stairs. Staff do offer to help with bags but it was still a little tricky with knee injuries.

Ok hotel, but several smokers / vapours on balconies made it unpleasant. Neat in rooms but noisy.

I loved the spa room, it was very relaxing

The view from the location was magic. The bathroom was very small and had a door which stuck.The fridge was broken and had the fridge door open open one way and the cupboard door open the other way which we found frustrating. The pool looked dirty. Being right on the corner was very noisy

Great follow up for late checkin. Parking is VERY limited! Get in early or miss out.

Property is well located close to beaches and water. Accommodation is a little basic but the staff are very friendly. Would stay there again.

Easy check in nice location , plenty of parking

Overall the stay was very pleasant. Free nibblies and wine was a nice touch also. Would stay there again without hesitation.

Limited parking and noisy

Place was close to Ocean and great location. Enjoyed our stay and will stop there again if available.

Good property but the info made it look like it was very close to the beach. The beach is a long way down from the property.

This motel is very convenient, walk to beaches, town, cafes, restaurants. The view is amazing! Will definitely stay here again

Perfect location, view and very clean

This was a great location to Town Beach. No need for the car. The room was clean (could have dusted the lamps though) and small. Then again there was 3 beds in the room as I was travelling with my partner and tween child. The bathroom of the room we had on the ground floor is definitely not disability friendly but the rain shower head was amazing. The pool was large and my child had a fun time in the afternoon in it. For why we needed and with a last minute booking this was a great stay.

Had the best room in the hotel and it was very comfortable with a nice selection of complimentary welcome amenities. Unfortunately the directional vanes on the a/c weren’t working properly, but it effectively and quietly cooled the room. The bedside light on the bathroom side played up and had to keep tapping it to get it to stay on. Was also able to charge my EV (granny charger) in a somewhat designated spot, which was a plus. Disappointingly, the breakfast room, which has an amazing view, doubles as a sauna. At this time of year it was unbearable. They really need to install a small split-system on the bulk-head, which faces into the room. All in a, a good stay and would stay there again.

Great family rooms for a short stay

Location and view of the beach was great but accommodation was overpriced for the dated apartment. No lift was inconvenient.

The staff were super friendly & helpful & the onsite parking was great BUT this property is nothing like the photo shopped photos on Expedia. There was mildew on the curtains in our room, nowhere to really relax pool side, a mound of dirt in the lobby corner (about a shoebox full spread on the floor) was never cleaned up. Paper thin walls so we could hear everything, security was a huge issue, anyone off the street has access to the entire hotel at any time of day and early evening, no 24 hour reception or staff on site at night either. All rooms and facilities were very, very run down and not kept up. We paid over $325 for this hotel and not was worth $100 a night. It is a 1 star or 2 star hotel hotel at best.

Great stay, very convenient. But they definitely need a bit of a refresh.

Fridge not working, air conditioner not working, old and tired needs an update.

Only criticism was the noise of cars speeding around during the night.

Beautiful location so easy for a family with young kids to get around and enjoy the beach and town centre.

The beach side views are a big thing was able to watch the fire works on NYE from my room Which is great. Everything was easy to access we stayed right in the middle of port so was able to walk everywhere

This hotel is in a great location with amazing views, but that’s really where it stops. The photographs are hugely overrated and highly edited. There are so many oddities, including an unstaffed 24 hour reception, so you need to check-in ahead of time if arriving after 7pm. I don’t know how rooms are so expensive - we paid more here for a single night than staying two nights in any other location we travelled to during our time in Australia (Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Cairns), yet the room and its age was the worst. It was totally baffling - the hotel is like the land that time forgot. It is dated and in need of some serious investment. The ‘spa room’ is a shower over the bath with some jets in the bath if you wanted to take the risk. The back windows have no coverings, so it’s daylight from sunrise. Save money by not adding breakfast. Again, the oddest experience - a squashed space with a couple of tables and pre-packed continental bits and a fridge stashed with milk and yoghurts, all crammed onto a makeshift table. Except for parking and its location, I couldn’t recommend staying here.

The stay was pleasant, basic features, could do with an upgrade but overall good for a short stay. Parking can be an issue.

Great location. We booked the upper floor coast-facing all-windows room. Spectacular views. Noisy (traffic) during the day, but fine at night for sleeping. Good blackout drapes. The buffet breakfast was very minimal, but adequate, and the staff were nice. Great area with Town Beach right below the property. Easy access to the beach and harbour walks, good nearby restaurants. Parking was a breeze on-site.

Dust

The property was noisey with noise from the road and people. That being said the location was convenient with close access to the beach and places to eat. It was exceptionally clean and tidy. The building and area had an I retesting history. The observatory was open across the road but you had to pre book. Good selection of crockery and glassware in the room. As well as a kettle and microwave. The sink was large enough to fill water bottles. Parking is limited onsite and you may have to use the road, but this is also free. If you can park outside it’s an extremely short walk from car to room. Pool is very small and right on the road. The bathroom set up would have been problematic if you were a larger human as the door opened into the side of the sink and as two smaller women we had to enter the shower side on.

Magnificent view but needs some TLC

Full marks to Ibis Styles reception staff who were efficient and friendly. Beautifully situated with magnificent view, we stayed twice for one night in the past two weeks. First time in a "spa" room and second in a room with balcony. The spa room was comfortable enough but very "tired", also noisy. Second room much better, very comfortable, but again needed some TLC in many areas. We would very much like to return, hopefully the standard will have improved (lots could be done very easily).

It’s a pleasant stay with a great view in the oceanview rooms I was very surprised to see a number of dogs staying - it was great to see hotels accepting pets and there should be more of it

Aged, tired, worst hotel stay in years

Out of the way from Port City, a decent walk, not many dining venues around, but unit is close to the beach. Very noisy, with service vehicles through the early morning in the rear lane and also traffic noise out the front. The room needs maintenance as we had 2 x windows that couldnt be closed, rear windows in the bathroom dont close at all. Nice staff, Location is great but be prepared for a walk.

Having stayed in a few motels over the years , l just found this overpriced for what you got. The bed though comfy looked like it came from a Balinese reject shop. The building was tired looking with ill fitting bits all over the place ie the door had a card reader handle which didn’t fit where the old door handle was. Inside the front door it was obviously badly patched in places . And more, not worth the price compared to others

Convenient location, and nice to hear the ocean at night. Room was clean and comfortable, but a bit dated. Unfortunately we were woken up early by workmen making noise on the roof.

The location is great with views to the beach and ocean generally. Easy walk into town via the boardwalk is very enjoyable. A few nice cafes/restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Amazing central spot great quick stay

Very basic, very old fridge which requires to be replaced as I saw rust formation at the top of the door, complimentary coffee sachets , sugar where purposely fully kept at the lowest rack, my question to the management is if a elderly person stays at your place , do you think they will be comfortable with this? When it comes to paid drinks you have kept it purposely at the top. This shows your money mindedness does not have any limits.

Great location opposite Town Beach, easy walk into town

The family room was massive and fit all 5 of us comfortably. The only draw card to the room is there is only one bathroom. It's a beautiful location with seriously incredible views, however, it was really noisy with cars blaring music from the park directly across the road. The location is great. Still close enough for us to walk the esplanade into town and a super short walk to Town Beach. Overall, a great one - two night accommodation option.

The property was clean although a bit dated, which meant it looked nothing like the pictures advertising it. It did have a great sea view from the room we chose though (although the balcony was quite small). It was very noisy overnight as it’s quite a busy road and our room was next to the breakfast area, so we could hear that being set up quite early. It wasn’t a terrible stay just not what we had expected from the pictures/description.

Last minute stay in the area. 3rd floor room and there is NO LIFT. Room smelt musty. Over priced for what you get. Room was clean thankfully.
