Great budget hotel great for station
Super clean hotel and 1 block away from Paris Gare du Nord! Very convenient as we had 2 Eurostar trips.
I can’t fault the hotel. It was clean and convenient being right in the centre of Paris and close by Gare du Nord. The facilities were what was expected. Could have done with a room safe. We booked room only so can’t comment on the food however there are cafes, bistros and restaurants all around. The area felt safe and is a bustling vibrant area. We found this very convenient having traveled on the Eurostar.
Very close to Gare du Nord!
This hotel is extremely convenient if you are travelling through Gare du Nord (literally across the street) or Gare de L'Est (6 minutes walk). There are lots of restaurants and fast fod outlets in front Gare du Nord. The room itself was very small, but clean and comfortable. It was very pricey as we stayed during the Olympics, but hopefully it is not usually that expensive. Small breakfast selection, but it was tasty and we received exceptional service from Lupinka in the breakfast room. The night receptionist was not very friendly.
A nice place to stay right near Gare du Nord, but it has some weird low frequency rumbling that starts and stops all night. I suspect it might be the metro trains underneath. Earplugs required.
Quadrupled price for Olympics so felt ripped off
We paid a LOT of money to stay here as it was during the Olympics - way more than we would usually pay and 4 times usual room rate. In terms of value for money - it was very poor Staff were friendly Lady running the breakfast was lovely Room smelt of drains the whole stay and there was a separate toilet with a weird flush and you can’t open the window as sewage stench awful We had the underground running beneath us which woke us around 5am each morning Patio a joke - tiny space on the first floor enclosed all around - if u looked up about 5 floors you could just about see they sky - maybe handy for smokers but no way would u choose to spend any time out there Air con worked well
Very friendly and helpful staff
Although the area around this hotel gave me a sketchy feeling, the hotel itself was very good. Check in was easy, even though we were an hour early. It was very walkable part of the city. Close to Montmartre , so can walk there. And next to Gare du Nord so that made easy use of the metro. Our room was modest but nice and comfortable. We did have breakfast the first day for €13. It was what I consider a bit underwhelming for the price. If it was 1/2 that price maybe I’d be willing to pay that. In general, this hotel was great and I wouldn’t hesitate to book there again.
Very small room. No fridge, no kettle.
Rooms small but clean. No tea making facility. Close to railway station
Really nice location!
Nice staffs. Convenient location.
It is good for staying o e night only close to the Gare du Nord. Not to confortable for longer stays
Pros: First time staying in this area. If you’re on a budget and comfortable with taking the metro to get to the sights, this is a great hotel and location to stay. Lots of local life around and convenient places to eat. Metro station can get you anywhere. And easy trek back to airport taking the RER B train. Hotel was clean and simple. Bed was good. Free WiFi. Didn’t try the breakfast, but looked good for 12 euro per person. Eggs, croissants, sausage, coffee, juice, etc. Staff was very nice and helpful. Nearby Recommendations: Carton Paris (won best croissant 2022), Le Cadran (had a nice simple breakfast for 8 euro, very nice and friendly owner. Nothing flashy, great for a place to save money) Cons: Hotel elevator is small and can be slow. There’s only one. 2 people max and some luggage. Wasn’t a problem for me and my wife, but a large group with lots of luggage might find it inconvenient.
Front desk staff were very very kind. Breakfast was good. Coffee machine coffee not good. Bed comfortable and clean. Restroom clean and safe. Room was extremely small. We had 2 carryon size luggage and it was a feat to stay out of each others way. Room underneath bed to slide luggage out of way. Would stay again.
Staff were friendly, particularly Afzol. We enjoyed our stay
Clean and comfortable
Welcome on reception was excellent - once they found our booking. There was a suggestion that we might not be in the correct hotel. After that, things improved immeasurably. Our luggage was stored securely as we were too early to gain access to our room. The room was on the sixth floor - one of the less noisy ones, I believe. The room was a reasonable size and clean, the shower very modern. It was disappointing that only two very worn towels for two people were provided, which is not really adequate and meant re-using already wet towels. Also, my mattress kept slipping off the bed - never come across this before. The lift is very old and slow, and there is a warning that only two people should use it, so we were alarmed when two others joined us for part of our journey. Excellent location for Gare du Nord, for which we were willing to pay the high price.
Good, clean hotel for short stay in North Paris
Ibis Hotel Paris GDN is an okay hotel to stay for short stay in Paris or catching commuting train in GDN. The offering you're getting from this Ibis is lower in quantity and quality from other Ibis hotels in France, but on par with other Paris hotel chains: Paris hotels have higher room prices and lesser services offered. Still for $300/night, thinks this Ibis room price is overpriced for what is offered. $150 to $200 a night would be more fair. Overall hotel is clean and safe, staff is friendly and accommodating, location is practical if you need to be in the North of Paris or near the TGV GDN. The elevator would need an upgrade (slow and limited to 2 ppl at a time), skip their breakfast option (overpriced and their breakfast room is not pleasing -- you can get a decent french breakfast for 10 euros in any near by cafes). Recommend if you need to stay in North of Paris.
Greatly over priced for room, bathroom, too small, unable to use toilet correctly due to facing wall. Shower had black mould on grouting.skirting boards were rotting with water stains by window. no tea or coffe in room. Fire alarm set off due to faulty air conditioner. Hotel evacuated early morning.
Great place to stay
It was in a great location to the North Train Station. Also, there were plenty of restaurants in the very close vicinity. It was just a block away from the metro 4 line (about 3 minutes walk) and just a block from the train station (Gar de Nord) In fact it took us less than 6 minutes to walk to the platform for RER B which took us to the airport. They were doing some construction and remodeling at the hotel so there was some dust in the air that made my daughter and I sneeze a bit. Also, if you wanted to rest in the afternoon it was a little loud. The staff was great. We did a backing class at a local bakery and the staff let us keep our pastries in the freezer and the fridge. Everyone we encountered was super friendly.
The hotel is renovating but the staff were incredible - very accommodating. Breakfast was great. Ali went above and beyond for us during our stay. Hotel is managing renovations - did not have a negative impact on our stay. Would stay here again. Less than a block from Gare Du Nord - close to Metro and rental car locations.
La ubicación es muy buena, a una cuadra de la Gare du Nord, el staff muy amigable y solucionan tus problemas, las habitaciones pequeñas, incluso para Paris (Europa)
Lovely old-style Paris hotel with good internal refurb. Great for connections to Paris Gare de Nord and Gare de L'Est. Foyer has departures board - very handy.
Staff were very nice and helpful. Cigarette smoke permeated the guest room every night, very unpleasant. good transportation links to the City, needed for access to most Paris attractions.
Saude lady on reception was absolutely fantastic and helped us a lot. She is a star!
The hotel is close to the train station Gare du Nord, which you can see as you step outside the hotel. Rooms are well kept but a bit small compare to average US Hotel. If you’re driving, Indigo parking is 5mns walking distance…daily rate is 35 euros. Overall islets a 4/5 budget hotel.
Basic accomodation, competitive price
Excellent location if using Gare du Nord. Several restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood. The breakfast was good and the guy who run the breakfast was very service minded. The hotel room was very basic. It was on the first floor and I could clearly hear the underground.
2 mins walk from Gare du Nord, so perfect for Eurostar etc. Very clean room - reasonable size for money. Lift is tiny and slow! Area around hotel feels a little edgy at night, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants and it is possible to walk to the Sacre Coeur in about 20 minutes.
Very clean and comfortable. One room had a great view, sadly the room I had looked out onto a wall
maintenance of the property is poor. staff very kind
Walkable to Garedu Nord rail links
We had a one night stay here in May. The experience was a pleasant one. The ladies at the reception were very friendly both when we checked in and when we checked out. We checked in a bit early but our room was already ready. Our room was on the 5th floor. It was bigger than the standard size for ibis hotels and spotlessly clean as always. It had a good size balcony, which would have been big enough for a small table and 2 chairs, but was not furnished. However, we made use of the balcony by taking the chair out of our room and one of our suitcases to sit on and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine there for a bit. The breakfast had all the standard items, it was good but nothing special, the standout items were the freshly squeezed orange juice and the warm Madeleine biscuits. The lady in charge of the breakfast room was friendly and kept the items in the breakfast buffet well stocked up the whole time. In the world of ibis hotels this ibis is well above average, especially if you have a room with a balcony.
The hotel is nice and staff working in it, but the area a round it ir is not.
Close to Gare du Nord
Generally there isn't very much to say about ibis hotels themselves, an ibis is an ibis. The things to comment on regarding ibis hotels are generally the location and the service. This hotel is a bit of an exception as it seems to have been build in a renovated old house, and therefore there are some non-standard features in the room layout. It also seemed that the rooms had different layouts. Our room had a small entry room, which was practical for storing luggage. The room was double glazed so there was only a small amount of traffic noise even though the room was facing the street. The standard of the renovation was reasonable. The room had a good size and had more storage space than many other ibis hotels. The service: Negatives: We did not get to a very a good start as the young lady at the reception could not find our booking. It took a fair bit of spelling and discussion before she found it. That was the second time within a short period of time that we have had this problem in an ibis hotel. The positive thing in connection with this encounter was that we could then check in at 12noon. Positives: The following day we spoke with another lady at the reception who kindly made einquiries for us about which Covid-test places would be open on New Year's Day. They also printed out our passenger locator forms when we e-mailed them to the reception. The location: Practical for Gare du Nord (2 minutes walk) and Gare de l'Est (10 minutes walk).
Convenient to Gare du Nord
The Ibis is a basic accommodation. The rooms are a little spartan with few extra amenities. The staff was friendly, and the hotel is very convenient to the Gare du Nord.
The front desk clerk greeted me warmly told me a room would be ready in 30 minutes , i was early, gave me a hot cup of tea in real china and made certain i was able to use the internet. First impressions are vital to me. I wish i got her name to complement her service. Good shower and decent linen in room
Close to Gare Nord
Desk and breakfast room staff every friendly and helpful. Breakfast has good variety and long hours. Room small but clean except for stained carpet. Neighborhood loud at night but slept ok. Bed comfortable. Bathroom clean and big enough.
Friendly staff but they offered me a room and when I went in, it wasn't cleaned yet!! They offered me another room and that one didn't have pillow, sheets,.. the key that they gave me wasn't active so I had to go to the reception again and again and again. Surprisingly, no fridge, no safe box, and no tissue paper in the room!
Great location and value for your money
Easy check in and out with a courtesy cup of coffee when I left☕ Quiet room on the top floor despite being on rue Saint Quentin. The elevator was a bonus. They offer breakfast, too.
N/a
Well cleaned but please check the mould in the bathroom.
One night stay
Could not be more helpful to get me more pillows.
Liked it for its location. 5 min walk to the station
Very nice place to stay
I was really happy that I booked this hotel, I had a lovely welcome, lovely spotlessly clean and (for Paris) spacious room. Breakfast was €11 and there was a really extensive choice for that, everything was fresh and delicious. I'm not crazy about the gare du Nord area but this was extremely close to the station which I needed because of the morning Eurostar. I would stay here again definitely and would recommend it to friends.
Great stay! Girls weekend with mum and sister, hotel was very accommodating when requesting room with 3 single beds. Very happy with hotel and room, no complaints. Location was also spot on! My mum has already booked to come back in a few weeks time and stay here again!
Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Very close to Gard du Nord for travelling in or out of town. Not ideal if walking into town but depends on your requirements. Breakfast is simple but filling. Rooms are simple but adequate
Happy customer
Really nice accommodation and I’m a very happy customer
Good location and nice hotel
Busy location
This was a overnight close to the train to fly out the next day. The hotel was safe and clean. Staff friendly.
Great service and nice people :) Very convenient location. Just one thing that could be improved is the comfort of single bed: much too soft.
Nice hotel great location and services in Paris
Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. I was there during a strike but staff assistance made it better
Very gd near to carrefour and gare du nord station
Very good location, but not for a long stay and
Good service.
Reception staff were freindy and helpful, very close to Gare Du Nord station with all the connections to the rest of Paris.
Great place to crash while you are touring the city. It is near the train making it very convenient.
Need to get some new bath towels. They were in poor shape.
A perfectly located, modest hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom is clean but needs updating.
酒店交通方便,房間整潔,鄰近metro站,員工十分友善。感謝酒店員工幫忙。但鄰近治安較差,大家要格外小心財物。
Location just steps from Gare du Nord. Spacious room. Great breakfast. Near Metro station.
Good Location
Nice clean room, but very small
Clean and comfortable. A good nights sleep in a nice room.
Its not fancy but impressive for the price
The service at this hotel was honestly the most genuinely kind and polite I’ve ever experienced. This was true across the board with everyone I interacted with. Even observing them with a very trying customer they kept their cool in a way you wouldn’t see in other hotels. The breakfast for the price was incredible quality and very fresh. The room is adequate size - but did you come to Paris to hangout in your room? The bathroom was a little funky, but not bad.
Good location.. that’s all
Very close
Convenient location for Gare du Nord train station. The breakfast was very good. The rooms were adequate.
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the Hotel and the staff and that very nice young lady server at breakfast so friendly. Thank you Hotel Ibis
Hotel location was convenient, just across Gare du Nord. The room, though a bit small, was clean with good air-conditioning. The staff were generally accommodating, especially Ms. Ljubinka, the breakfast lady, who was always helpful, gracious & friendly despite the language barrier. Overall, a good hotel to stay in.
Location is excellent especially if you’re travelling by train. Rooms are small but clean and beds comfy. However, no free coffee! Front desk staff not really helpful except for the white guy (sorry I did not get his name) on duty when we checked-in on 12 June. Also, the lady staff at the dining area was very very nice.
Very convenient to Gare du Nord for the Eurostar. rather stark decor...but comfortable bed. as a plus (or a minus) we had a tiny balcony we did not dare to step onto..very old ? safe. But the street noise from below was intense til around 10 pm or so. Price fair for a pre-train trip hotel very close to the rail station.
Not 3 star
It's not 3 star hotel. Washroom shower is very small and has a mildew. There was ants in the washroom. There is only soap available in the washroom. Carpet has stains. Receptionist service was the only plus.
Very well located, smart, clean. Maybe a little stretch for some.
Nice hotel really close to the Gare du Nord so handy for the Eurostar. The room was on the small side, and had no tea-making facilities (in common with most continental hotels I suppose!), but apart from that quite pleasant. There is a cafe/bar just across the road and a Carrefour mini-market too.
A lovely ckean safe hotel in a great location. The room was small but suired our needs as we were sightseeing most of the time.
The hotel near to train station and surrounding with many restaurants. The room locate next to staircase at level 1, It was too noisy as guests passing by using staircase. The room were stuffy and unable to switch on the air cond during winter season. The shower are together with bathtub without any rubber mat give. Quite slippery when elderly or young kids using it.
Great location for a short trip to Paris via Eurostar. No frills, but clean and comfortable enough. Also very close to Monmartre area so you can easily walk or metro to that area.
Very well located and nice.
Good hotel, nice area
The staff were lovely and the rooms were very clean!
Location is convenient
Good
Nice hotel 2 minutes walk from the Gare de Nord so handy for an overnight before onward journey. Plenty of restaurants close by as well.
Very friendly staffs n clean room GD location
Easy access to public transport
Convenient and comfortable
Convenient to Gare du Nord
Stayed here for the price and convenience to railway
Very close to train station, clean, friendand helpful staff, nice breakfast. Small but decent hotel for the price.
Good location but mixed service
The counter staff was very accommodative and offered us an alternative room when the original room that we wanted next to our friends is not available. The alternative he offered was much bigger than expected. The location of the hotel is very convenient though it may be a little scary to hang around Gare Du Nord station late at night. The down side about the hotel is the toilet. The shower area is contained in a really small plastic 'container' and it is impossible to move around or stretch your hands without knocking into something or adjusting the temperature of the shower tap which is very sensitive. In addition, when we came back after a long day on 15 Aug, we realised that the toothbrush we left on the bathroom sink broke into two. The tip of the toothbrush fell onto the floor and broke into half. When we left the room in the morning of 15 Aug, the toothbrush was sitting well on the sink but when we came back, it broke into half! I called the hotel reception and was told that i can just head down to the reception now and he will give me a new toothbrush at no cost. HOWEVER, when my friend went down, the staff informed her that after checking with his colleague, he is unable to give us a new toothbrush as he is just covering his colleague and he was told that he simply cannot just give out a toothbrush to the guest. It it is not our fault that the toothbrush broke when it was perfectly fine before we left, why does the guest need to pay for the hotel's mistake?
Typical IBis. Convenient for Eurostar
I chose this hotel on its location very close to Gare du Nord for our return on Eurostar. A typical adequate Inis. Our double room was tiny rather than small but again adequate for a one night stay., Paris like any other busy city can be noisy but the room and window sound deadening was remarkably efficient. Plenty of cafes bars and bistros in the location and good access to metro if you want to explore. Not the cheapest little hotel in the area but fine for an overnight transit. The few staff are polite and effective but less than helpful I found.
I was sick at the time and may be a bad judge. The only negative was the room felt very small.
After nearly 3 weeks away we needed a hotel very close to the Eurostar departure. The room was 5th floor corner site so had 2 double doors onto the balcony. It was clean and comfortable and excellent value. The area isnt a tourist one but plenty of bars and restaurants. Its a busy commuter area for metro and long distance trains. Would use it again for the same purposes
My confirmation said breakfast was included. They said it was not.
Excellent position. Would definitely stay again
Underwhelmed.
Room had a clogged sink with dead bugs and they couldn’t do anything until the next day. Offered us nothing but an apology because they were full and couldn’t change rooms. Rooms have nothing but liquid soap. Ie no tissues, lotion, sewing kits. Someone at desk needs to let you in so if they need to leave to help someone then you are stuck on the street waiting. Elevator only holds 2 people. Noisy crazy woman at night on street. Restaurants in area know you’re a tourist and overcharge and ask for tips (not usual). But close to Gare.
Gare du Nord Ibis
Although the room was small by US standards, I found it clean, comfortable, and perfect for getting ready for the day, cleaning up after, and sleeping. The staff was very nice and helpful. The street outside is very busy and loud, but the noise could NOT be heard inside. I would stay here again and access to local attractions was very convenient via trains and Metros.
Decent station hotel
Right next door to Paris Gare du Nord train station which is its biggest USP. It was amazing to be able to check-in any time of the day. Another advantage is proximity to so many restaurants that offer cuisines from all over the world. Very practical place to stay.
The best hotel close to everything
Fantastic experience close to everything will highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.
Conveniently located next to Gard du Nord station
it is 100 yds from the Station. Ideal for early drop off and late collection of bags. Metro links at Gard du Nord and 5 mins to Gard du L’Est.
Close to railway station.
I checked in with a room not cleaned up and ready.
Good place in GDN locality
Great location, nice ambience, good service. Nothing to complain about
Value for money
Staff very obliging- good location - good kitchen and breakfast
Well located Hotel
We stayed at this Hotel since we were travelling two days only to Paris by Eurostar. The Hotel is well located, the tour bus stops just outside the hotel and it is a 20 min walk to Opera or Rue Montmattre. On the last day we left our bags at the Hotel while we enjoyed Paris until we catch the train back to London in the evening. Omar at Reception was very attentive and our check-in went really smooth. The rooms were well cleaned and the bed was really comfortable. In the evening, you can hear the trains slightly (not during the night, though!). I will definitely stay here again!

Great everything except wifi
Everything’s was great except the wifi was really spotty. Great location. Quiet room. Staff was good as well.
