Overall it was very good experience. Many thanks.
Very clean room, comfortable bed, decent shower. Staff extremely helpful and kind when my partner had to go to A&E in the night. Good location by tube. Second stay, would stay again.
Stayed in a refurbished room. Clean, modern, and only a short walk from Fulham and a couple mins from West Brompton tube too.
Much better since the recent refurbishment.
Great breakfast, lovely bar and evening meal. Nice clean room and bed. Just the tepid shower to get over.
Took 45 minutes for reception to provide an extra pillow. Would have been okay if during the day but at 11pm when trying to sleep not acceptable. Knowing 2 people in a room why only provide 3 pillows. Shame as ive stayed here prior to the renervation and was great then, the new look even better. Just poor customer service
Unexpectedly pleased with this hotel. The hotel location is more West Brompton than Earls Court, located about 5 minutes from West Brompton underground station. The room was recently renovated, clean, quiet and spacious, the bed was comfortable. There was a gunky smell in the bathroom, I think it was from the shower drain. For the money it was a great stay.
Room was very cold and the air con wouldn’t warm the room above 17 degrees. I had to bring my own little heater
Needed extras for the room and the QR code on the phone was very easy to use to get these items. Having parking is always a plus and the new remodeled hotel was nice
Excellent location
Staff is good and polite . They helped me in my early check in .
Comfortable, warm and cosy
Nice, comfortable and pleasant stay. Unfortunately couldn’t use the restaurant for dinner as it had been booked out for a Christmas night out.
Will definitely stay again!
Wonderful place to stay, great room, cocktail bar and coffee in the morning.
Only concern was the lift availability during the busy morning period. Tried using the stairs and found no access into reception
Great location. Spotless. Small rooms but great for long weekend
Decent standard accomodation for the price paid. Close proximity to underground and a couple of decent pubs close by also.
Lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was very good. There's not a lot to do around the hotel, but there are plenty of places to eat. You are within a five minute walk of a underground station.
Amazing new look in the hotel. Felt very posh. Staff were very welcoming and friendly
Very nice place
Loved staying here. Nice, clean, modern rooms. And bigger than the rooms in other similarly priced hotels. Polite staff. Prompt service. This is going to be my go-to hotel in London now on.
Fantastic Breakfast buffet. Easy walking to places and mass transit.
Hot room
We went for a midweek break, booked it as the hotel was recently done refurbishment. The hotel and room look nice, however, the air con can not be set to each room to our liking. instead it is centrally controlled, even though there is a controller in the room, it doesnt work. First night, the room was 23C, we were unable to sleep. Ask reception about it, they advise air con doesnt work individually to each room. The offered us a desk fan to cool the room down, but its just circulating hot air around the room. It was disappointing to our visit.
Only complaint loud music near my room on Friday night.
My one night stay was comfortable The staff at the check in was very helpful. Thank You for all your help because I use a walking stick to help me get around.
a
It was close to bus and tube transit, and interesting local neighborhoods. Lots of construction going on in building.
Nice sized room.
Not far from underground. Great staff, clean toom
Great location and room very comfortable.easy check in and out.underground station very close by
Great amenities, room was clean and comfortable.
good location,clean
Recently refurbished room. Close to underground station. Perfect for a few nights away.
Much better now the rooms have been upgraded. Ideal location with great staff.
Awful hotel. Black mould underneath the window ledge. Room was so hot and the ac didnt work. Staff were lovely and got us a fan. Pillows uncomfortable, Ibis or Mercure or whoever actually runs this hotel should be embarrassed. Never again.
1 night stay
The whole experience was great and i will be making bookings in the future, the room looked nice and the best was very comfortable. 10/10.
I loved staying there
Easy access to West Brompton or Earls Court tube stations. Renovated room was clean and a good space.
Very nice place to stay. We enjoy our day there!!!!
Great service. Good breakfast
Everyone happy!
There were 6x of us staying at the Ibis, with one lad in a wheelchair, and it was his first stay at the hotel; he told me it was perfect for his needs...and his young son! The other 4x of us had all stayed before, and really like the upgrades/redesign throughout, particularly the reception/ lobby area....gives the hotel a much more 'friendly/ homely vibe!
I would stay here again. Convenient and functional.
Easy check-in on arrival, staff very polite, friendly and very helpful. The hotel has been recently renovated (ongoing), very neat and modern, had everything we needed. Even an ironing station down the hall. Beds were very comfortable, charging plugs right beside each bed (twin room). The bar was open 24 hours, also served snacks and a variety of food, sandwiches, pizza, muffins and pastries. Good location, very close to public transportation, one tube station a few minutes away, another about a 10 minute walk away. Restaurants and shops a short walk up Lillie Road. A few cafés within very close proximity, a few minutes walk. A short 15 minute taxi ride to Victoria Station, very convenient to get to where you need to go, such as Gatwick Express train to the airport. I would recommend this hotel for a London stay if you don`t mind walking or using public transportation.
Convenient location and friendly staff
Hotel is convenient, only 3-5min walk away from West Brompton station, 15min walk from Earl's Court station if faster train connection is needed. There are a variety of restaurants and shops nearby, from local cafe and pub, to supermarket, fastfood and drugstore. Hotel is clean overall, although it is under renovation during our stay. Fortunately we are situated on the side of the building with minimal noise, and our room is recently renovated. Windows can be opened which is a plus. Strangely there is no ventilation in the bathroom, so the room feels damped especially after shower. Breakfast is a bit pricy but with very good selection. Discount is given if you purchase breakfast the day before, and can be done one day at a time, which is nice. Staff are friendly and helpful.
For the most par, the area was clean. Hotel was undergoing a remodel, which was fine. Hotel itself was very clean and easy to work with. The area outside (which is completely out of the hotels control) was a little bit dirty. The underground is right down the road and easy to get to. Also there are tons of convince stores close by for quick snacks and drinks. Also a ton of food options right down the road as well. I highly recommend a place called The Prince. Very good food and extremely clean.
Nice location for tourists in London, especially arriving from the west. Wifi was spotty, but overall a decent enough place to stay.
Poor sleep
Very loud noise from room above, sounded like building works going on until late in the evening
Very pleasant staff.
Really ordinary hotel, no atmosphere in the lobby. The bar was big, not welcoming and served mediocre food. But very pleasant staff behind the bar.
Great property, very close to underground. Walkable to all major shopping areas . No phone in the room(ehhh big drawback). Slow room service. All ignored. Overall satisfied.
Good location, room is newly renovated, clean.
It was close to the subway station. The renovations were quite noisy until about 5:00 PM
Construction workers
I was disturbed by work men at 8:00am banging and sawing. When I told reception he told me I couldn’t have been as they don’t start work until 9:00am. No lie in for me.
Very relaxed front desk not great big desk like other hotels, busses stop just outside. Not sure what’s around as went different places. No toilets on ground floor after a long bus ride it was an issue for me. It was cleaned everyday, staff in restaurant were welcoming and friendly.
Recently refurbished. Very comfortable, nice rooms, lobby, bar. Staff were great. Right next to West Brompton tube. Good value.
Amazing hotel! Super clean and everyone was so friendly would stay here again
Great London Hotel
I’ve stayed at Ibis many times when in London. The hotel has had a full makeover & looks wonderful
The staff were great and the location was very convenient for visiting the museums and other key destinations. The room was perfect for our needs and nice and newly refurbished, still some works going on but it didn't disrupt our stay as we were out all day. Breakfast was good, would stay again.
Very clean and modern property, very quiet property even though they is renovations, staff very polite, breakfast plenty, bar food and drink very nice.
Stayed over whilst watching Soccer Aid and the hotel was lovely and modern, clean and in a great location to Stamford Bridge
Booked here as we went to a concert at Wembley. Easy to get to and very close to the underground. Staff were very friendly and checking in was extremely efficient. Room was clean and exactly as described.
Too many roadworks
Conveniently located at fair price
Hotel room was good, comfortable and clean
The hotel was the best price for being nearest to the Chelsea football stadium. The hotell is under renovation but at no time did it impact our stay. A big added bonus being the car park under the hotel which was very reasonable for London at £20 for 24 hour stay. Staff are extremely helpful, polite, friendly, knowledgeable about the area and just lovely The twin room we had was spacious. The beds were comfortable, great size tv. The only downside unfortunately was the so called air conditioning that was set at 25°and could not be altered. It was of no use whatsoever It was 30° outside and with it being London always feels a couple of degrees hotter. The windows only opened wide enough to put your hand out, it was just so hot in the room. Other than that i would highly recommend staying there. I will definitely stay there again. I would have scored 5 stars if the air con hadn't been rubbish
Disappointed
Disappointed been here many times before but was not up to standard this time,
Wish they had more late night food options
Excellent hotel. Stayed 2 nights. The rooms were recently refurbished, dining area and lobby also appear recently refurbished so there is "new look and feel" about this hotel. Everything was clean, including shower/bathroom. Breakfast was nice, plenty of buffet options ranging from continental, fresh fruit and usual fry ups. Coffee machine had fresh coffee beans with options of the usuals ie latte, mocha, hot chocolate, hot milk.... something for everyone. Rooms were minimalist and a little on small side but not box rooms either. For a 2 night stay it was probably just right. Bedding was clean, fluffy pillows and firm mattress. There is some ongoing building work but didnt hear any loud noises. Location is only couple of mins walk to Tube. Staff were helpful at check in and allowed us to store luggage as we arrived very early and there were no rooms available for early check-in. Would stay again
Loved the commitment to the planet - they used wooden card keys instead of plastic, encouraged customers to take advantage of the “skipping cleaning service” to reduce resource consumption, had bulk refill soap dispensers instead of single use bottles, and used wooden door signs and compostable waste bags. Staff was very kind and held our bags after check out until we had to go to the airport. Clean hotel and convenient location. The air conditioning didn’t seem to work of any of the six rooms we booked; that was the only issue. Enjoyed our stay!
Well located hotel and nice staff.
A pleasant enough stay. I was visiting with my daughter for 5 nights. Rooms very clean and comfortable beds, and for once an air conditioning system I could understand and actually worked! Staff are very nice and checking and out very efficient. The rooms could do with a fridge, especially as we we're staying for so many days. Also the twin room we were in was pretty small for price £200 per night room only), but - this is London... The cafe downstairs in reception very handy as neither of us are big breakfast eaters, so useful just to get a coffee without having to go out up the road to a nearby cafe. The bar on 1st floor very nice and comfortable. It's a 10 minute walk from Earl's Court tube so very convenient and nearby Turkish restaurant excellent.Area is pretty safe and quiet. It is on main route to a hospital, so emergency vehicles going by very frequently; however the windows are soundproofed so at night it is ok. There was quite a a lot of noise from slamming doors and room above but again, this is a hotel. I would stay again if I could get a better price.
My only criticism is for the restaurant. They seriously need to cater for Gluten Free
The air conditioner didn’t work, no phone in the room to call for service request
Great stay!
Very convenient location to the underground, and lots of interesting places within walking distance.
Average stay in London
The staff were excellent. Ac didnt work in a refurbed room. They moved me and that room smelled of cigarrettes but a well apointent room. Reception staff amazing. Nice decor.
Great hotel for an overnight stay whilst visiting London. Clean, spacious and staff at check in lovely.
Hotel ok but breakfast poor -with disgusting juice
Hotel nice, comfy bed but had to request twice for soap dispenser to be filled ( online request mustn't have been seen. Not a great deal around this West Brompton area but further afield Earls Court ok for food, bars and shops. The thing that spoiled our stay was we wish we hadn't paid for a daily breakfast. Poor cereal choice (no weetabix), tea was very weak (whereas the room Twinings tea was fine. The warm cooked food was poor - the bacon looked raw. Reasonable choice though. But lastly, we have never tasted such disgusting orange or apple juice from the dispenser. It was nothing but awful tasting orangey coloured water. Not even as good as cheap dilute orange squash. Very poor from such a hotel group. Not that difficult to source some decent juices surely? Terrible stuff!
The room was nice if a little tired. Window latch was broken so window did not close properly, noisy outside noise due to this. Shower poorly designed water all over the whole bathroom when using and no fan so whole room and bathroom condensates.
An unexpected positive stay
Great location and facilities. Good check-in, although to find out the hotel was refurbing and work would start at 9am on a Saturday morning was a bit frustrating. The hotel did upgrade us though - presumably to make us further away from the noise. We did hear it but it wasn’t bad. Room was basic but newly-refurbed and comfortable (executive room). Big bed and small but modern bathroom. Will definitely stay again due to location, comfort and service. Very much a ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ hotel!
Building work going on at back of the hotel and scaffolding around frontage, but was more inconvenient than noisy or dirty
I will definitely come back. Loved everything!
Really nice hotel, currently undergoing a refurb so builders started at 8am, although this was communicated with us at check in and didn’t really impact our stay. We stayed in a refurbed room which was lovely, clean and bright. Breakfast was good plenty of options.
This was an average 3 star property but the bathroom was not good, back mould around the bath, not very welcoming, did not use. Carpet on inside of door in front of bathroom was wet and the room smelt musty. Luckily we only slept here and the beds were comfortable.
Travelled to london for a concert at wembley hotel was superb
Excellent trip
Excellent location for getting to Wimbledon
Ideal base for Wimbledon
Wanted an overnight in close proximity to Wimbledon near to an underground station. Hotel had a nice modern feel and fitted the bill. Reception quick and efficient with coffee bar adjacent. Decent breakfast included in price, so all in all a good choice.
The only thing negative I have to say is the fact that the air conditioning was not working in the rooms are very warm and we were not the only people who felt that way. But the staff was absolutely wonderful especially the staff at the checking desk. My granddaughter became ill. They helped us get taxis. Explain the hospital situation and Dr. situation. They allowed us an extra hour for check out as we were so exhausted. We didn’t get back from the hospital till five in the morning Very accommodating and we appreciate it.
Ok for what it is, but in the pricey side.
This hotel is very conveniently located. The West Brompton station is just a 5-6 minute walk. Checking in was easy. Staff were always helpful and allowed us to check in about an hour early. They also provided us luggage storage service on the day of check out. The room and the bathroom were a bit tiny, but okay. There were no iron in the room. The room itself could be cleaner as there were multiple stains on the carpet.
The hotel provided everything that my stay required and more. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was very nice, especially for the price. The hotels location is close to multiple bus stops, underground, and overground train stations that will take you throughout the city. If ever traveling to London again I’d gladly stay here again.
The common areas have been recently renovated, but the rooms are in disrepair. Front desk staff was helpful, but repair workers/cleaners let themselves into my room without knocking while I was still in the room just out of a shower! It was a jarring experience and caused me to feel unsafe.
The property was under construction so loading was not convenient. However, the reception staff was so accommodating and courteous that I felt like a celebrity. The motion-detecting light in the hallway helps one visiting the toilet at night. Light food is in walking distance. Quite near bus stops and tube station.
Nice hotel, good location! Nicely renovated rooms
It was under major construction. Old and not clean.
Recommended
Very clean, comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated newly refurbished room. Spotless bathroom. Great window view. Nice pizzeria nearby. I will come back. I enjoyed my stay.
We had newly renovated rooms, very nice. Motion sensor lighting is great. No outlet that was practical for hairdryer. Suggest placing a mirror over the coffee station. Would love to have an in room fridge. Breakfast had great variety and value for money. Brompton West station is a short walk away, however like many stations it is not “accessible”…lots of stairs.
Stayed for one night as location very close to the queens club for the tennis. Hotel in the middle of renovation but generally in a good state. Very noisy first thing in the morning (5-7am) with street activity . (We were up on the 6th floor so not street level).
Jim was very nice and helped me out. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly.
Good
Very quiet nice clean very good stay
No value for my money at all
Arrived in the evening and was very impressed with the hotel. The renovations they have done are fabulous. Had an issue with my shower in my room and it wasn’t working, so went down to reception and was greeted instantly and someone was up to fix it within 5 minutes. The shower couldn’t be fixed so was moved to a different room and resettled within 20 minutes and given 2 free drinks for the trouble. Extremely impressed with the service and staff would definitely recommend and the rooms are spacious, comfy and exactly like the photos.
Lovely hotel and good value
Really lovely hotel, just a few minutes walk to train station, around 15-20 mins walk to Stamford bridge. Recommend the Prince pub nearby, is absolutely huge inside, good vibes and nice food. bed hotel Room was decorated to a high standard, mood lighting was nice and very clean. Staff friendly too.would definitely stay here again.
