The hotel was super convenient for what we needed, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit small but it was well put together and had everything you would need. Plus it was very clean.

Great place to stay while on business. A few not some nice people around on streets near area which is out of their control. The staff were great to deal with and the buffet breakfast was nice.

Excellence at IBIS

Clean, tidy, well appointed, quiet, middle of CBD along with very caring customer service

Better than I expected. Comfortable beds and pillows, room is a nice setup overall with bathroom also nice and presentable. Good shower pressure, very good aircon, breakfast buffet is of good quality with the options you need. I would definitely use this place again for accommodation. Note: valet parking only onsite and is not accesible to guests; only via valet.

There were a number of problems: 1) They mocked up my booking, so when I arrived they were not expecting me. They then found me a room, but wanted to charge me additional fee as they only had a superior room available. 2) They did not provide breakfast, despite my booking clearly stating Breakfast is included. 3) Upon checkout, I asked for a receipt. They said that they will email it. One week later, I still haven't got it.

Staff were lovely. The hotel was very clean, including the glasses and cups nomarks. The pillows were really plump, and i woke up several times as my neck just hurt. My daughter was the same, so an alternative for pullow options would be great. Also i was dissappointed with the parking options 38 for valet parking! No option to park your own car but the description shows carparking is available.

Good location,room was nice and clean. Staff needs more training, system needs to be improved. have to show the confirmation email to 2 staff members to confirm and double confirm we have free breakfast included in our booking. Luckily they found us on the list. And Unfortunately When we do the check out, the receptionist wants to charge us again for the breakfast so we have to find the email again to triple confirm it with her.

The hotel is very new and the interior is fresh and well designed.

Lovely Riverside Location

Great hotel in handy location, right by the river and walking distance to many restaurants. Room was clean and the restaurant had a nice outdoor area. We stayed over Easter break so I paid extra for breakfast not knowing if the cafes will be open. Breakfast was nothing special but acceptable. Valet parking is $38 per day. There is no free parking that I could see near the hotel so we opted for that. I suggest a walk along Waikato river, cross one of the bridges and make the loop back.

I found the Ibis, very clean and staff friendly and helpful

Dirty Shower and stained toilet needs a good clean. Food is average and signage to check in late not prominent enough to find. Pretty average for 285$ and kinda disappointed

I was not happy having to pay for parking as there was no mention of it when I booked. They have underground parking at their building but charge had I been aware I may have made a different choice. The staff were very pleasant that is what it had going for it. Do not think I would stay again I would find hotel with free parking

I did not like the fact that the hotel staff had to park your car instead your parking your own car. They charged you extra money for them parking your own car and that irked me! The rooms were clean but a little tight on space, especially the bathrooms.

Lovely hotel in city centre near shopping centre, shops and bars. 10 minute walk from bus station. 25 minutes walk to rugby stadium. Staff lovely and room comfortable.

Room was tidy, beds comfortable but the walls are paper thin. It wasnt pleasant at all hearing the people in the rooms beside us EVERY time they went toilet especially at night you can hear it loud and clear.

While the room we stayed in was compact for 3 of us, the hotel overall was great. All staff were friendly, professional and tried their hardest to make sure your stay was a good one. We made use of the valet service - which was excellent.

Liked the location for its walkability into town and nice views over the river. Smallest bathroom and shower I’ve ever come across in a hotel (and I’m 5’2” and 115lbs!)

What a lovely stay, first time in Hamilton to shoot a wedding and the Ibis was a great choice and I got the best service from the lovely lady downstairs I didn’t get her name but she was so helpful and lovely. Please pass on my thanks xx

A little spartan

clean and comfortable bed . A little too spartan with only 1 chair for 2 people. I know the Ibis model but really... not enough room for 2 small suitcases and only one person can sit? Time to think about this model.

From the reception staff to your bar staff the breakfast cook and breakfast this morning amazing the hospitality was awesome helpful and even bumping into the cleaning stuff very polite warm and welcoming,we'll be back again.

We had people across from us that were very noisy and inconsiderate at 6:30am. They woke us up numerous times. Other than that it was great

Very friendly and helpful staff. If you are attending the globox arena it’s a very easy 5 minute quick walk.

A clean and well-maintained property. A significant draw back would be the parking situation. You have to hand over the keys and they park it for you, but then you need to give 15 minutes notice before you want it back. This is inconvenient, particularly as you are paying over $30 a night. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel on the river

Nice hotel, bit hard to get into as the GPS takes you to the exit instead of the entrance. If you coming from town it means having to cross the bridge to find a place to turn around. Also get charged extra for parking, which really should be included at the prices they are charging (specifically did a search for hotels with parking and this was not mentioned as a extra cost). Food is excellent and beers at the bar is cheap as

The rubbish bin hadnt even been empited before our stay. The room was quite small which wasnt much of an issue for us but a little unexpected. the shower however went in and out of pressure and constantly changed temps. The staff however were lovely at check in and check out and the place was in a convenient location but def not really "riverside"

The rooms were adequate, although a king bed bed seems to mean two singles pushed together. Limited amenities and while you could order food from the restaurant, you had to go downstairs and retrieve it yourself. The fries were worth the trek, but the cappuccino had more milk than a latte and the long black was borderline undrinkable.

Centrally located. Simple, bare-bones hotel, but it was clean and functional.

This property was reasonably priced I guess. Right in the city was a great location. Very basic accommodation. The worst thing for me was how dirty it felt. Upon arrival the toilet smelt very bad and looked surface cleaned. The bowl was either stained or never cleaned. Combined with the smell it was very off putting. Generally the room was very basic and small. For the price I suppose with that location it was ok.

it had every thing we needed ,for a over night stay , very close to casino and different restaurants , ..... Didt like the parking we had to park in the sky city car park

Has had an upgrade & refit since our last stay. Clean & tidy. Staff were very helpful and allowed us to check in earlier which was a bonus given the bad weather.

Break from work

3-days in Hamilton. Travelled by Te Huia train to Rotokauri (no buses from Frankton) and then The Comet bus to Hamilton Tranport Centre. Easy walking distance to ibis Hotel from here. Central City location allowed us to walk or bus anywhere (but be aware limited bus service to Hamilton Gardens during week days). Our accommodation included breakfast which we ate on the open air deck overlooking the river. Good food & good views - great start to the day. Room (King Bed) was good size and clean & comfortable. Bathroom compact but had everything. Staff were brilliant. Very helpful, very friendly. Overall a brilliant couple of days. We will be back. ps - if you go to Hamilton Gardens allow lots of time. If you want to take your time to take it all in you need more than a day..

The almost complete lack of parking is a problem for me. Most guests park at the casino about a block away. The breakfast buffet is amazing.
