Very close to the central train station (TGV is about 5km away). Very close to the old town and pretty much everything to see. Quiet in April, hotel staff were very helpful

This is a really nice hotel just outside the city walls and opposite the tram terminus. The room was quiet and the perfect temperature, ensuite bathroom very good. Staff were friendly.

So, this was our second time ever staying at an ibis Hotel. Our first stay had its... pluses and minuses. For what we wanted to do and see, we were about a 20- or 30-minute walk away. To our great surprise, not only was the bathroom free from that classic mildew aroma, it actually had a working vent! With that said, the shower doors may as well have been imaginary. Water just seemed to pour right under those worn acrylic doors and flood the floor. Sigh. Oh well... The rooms are tiny, and the bathroom is even tinier, but it worked for what we needed. We were really just using the room to sleep. Breakfast was fine—no issues or complaints there. We didn’t interact much with the front desk, probably because of the language barrier, but nothing major came up. Just like the ibis in Rouen, this place had the vibe of an upscale hostel. This one did seem to attract more of a business crowd than tourists, but hey, I guess everyone’s trying to save a buck these days.

Needed a few minutes to get to the town centre on foot. Limited eating options in the immediate area. Cleaning staff did not follow the rule about not replacing towels unless requested. Overall - a good stay in a beautiful purpose built hotel with efficient and helpful staff.

Small room

Good location. Room was much smaller than it looked in pictures. Two small beds that were narrow and not much room to move in the room. It looked like a children’s room that would be attached to a main room. Service was good but thought it was very expensive for the room we were given.

Nice & Quiet at the wall of Avignon. Near tram to Avignon TGV or walk 45 minutes. Food and service was very good.

It is a very practical location , there is a parking behind the hotel, 5 mins walk from the center

Not an easy location for car driver

Hotel location is awkward so that spent a lot of time circling around and around many times before we could get back to the hotel by car.

I liked the fact that a good breakfast was available.

good location room clean, room small, but ok. Could do with a bag stool to put bag on, had to have it on the floor, hard to get stuff out of bag from the floor. for a semi budget hotel - suprised water was over priced - bottle waters expensive Eur 3.5 small and 4,5 large

Good Hotel with exceptionally helpful staff. Convenient, public free parking around the corner. Aircon just about managed to take the edge off the 40+ degree heatwave when we were there but rooms look a little dated compared to other, renovated Ibis Hotels and the Ibis Budget next door is probably better value.

Good value for money

Very comfortable hotel just outside Avignon old city walls. Excellent location for touring. Easy parking next to the hotel. Very basic facilities and only a simple bar but good value for money

5th visit to Avignon and our 3rd stay in an Ibis hotel. Which speaks for itself. Highly recommended.

TINY Room, LOUD service

It was a clean room but VERY tiny...Beds were uncomfortable and the man at the front desk in the morning (who called himself "Chef..." was extremely LOUD! He was quite obnoxious, especially by French standards (and I am an American). It is difficult to start your day hearing him in the background of my morning coffee. Parking was super simple because we came on a Saturday afternoon and had 3 free hours and Sunday free.

Wouldn’t stay again.

Site says there is free parking near by. When I arrived and asked I was told there was none and I had to pay. I showed that it said on the site there was and the front of desk staff argued with me telling me I was misinformed and was incredibly rude. It then emerged after paying that there was free parking 200m away. Room was noisy.

The rooms where quite small, so where the bathrooms.

A nice stay.

Only stayed for the one night. The room was clean/comfortable and the location was good. The breakfast was very nice and adequate. The hotel didn't have much character and was a bit functional. The staff we dealt with were very pleasant and helpful.

Cheap well loacted hotel

I stayed here for a night. Silent and relatively clean, well located. Delivers significantly for the price range. 24 hour food service is a nice thing.

Outdoor Patio

Staff was very helpful, polite and went out of way to render service. They arranged a tour for us with a great company we had not heard off that was cheaper and better than any others This hotel has a quiet tree;lined patio just off the breakfast area. We relaxed here before our departure

Yes! There's Air Conditioning!

It got up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit outside, and our room was wonderfully air conditioned. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were small and the bathroom was super small, but we made it work. The hotel was in walking distance to all the Avignon attractions. The reception staff were wonderful. There was plentiful parking. The WIFI was a bit spotty, but we managed. It was a good stay.

Reasonably easy to find from the station. Just outside city walls and 10-15 minutes from main sites. Hotel is fine.

Comfortable bed, room a reasonable size.Towels a bit thin. Very good breakfast. Would be nice to be able to get a coffee from machine any time of day and have water. Extremely helpful staff.

Very nice hotel in great city. Recommend. The breakfast is well worth the price.

We were satisfied with the room because it was clean and the bed was comfortable, even though it was about the size of a ship's cabin. The location was not bad, but you have a good walk before you get to the center of Avignon. Had we known the city beforehand, though, we would have stayed within the city walls.

Small shoe box

Congested room, small bathroom where you can barely do anything. Toilet was stuck by the corner wall that it was a struggle to do the needful. Hardly any space around the room to move. Bed comfort was average.

Convenient hotel just outside city walls, with easy parking facility.

Close to city center and train station

Just outside the wall, 7 minute walk to train station, 18 minutes to pope's palace across town. Room was small, but comfortable. Breakfast was 10€,but good, complete buffet andconvenient. Staff was friendly, helpful and spoke english as do most hoteliers in europe.

Ok hotel but dodgy neighborhood

The hotel itself was fine and about 10min walk from the avignon centre station. Neighborhood did not give a good vibe though, especially at night.

We enjoyed the stay, very good service, they tried their best to accommodate the travellers. Near the train/bus station and near the main downtown. Quiet location at night - We were facing the tower, great view

Nice hotel but far from the center of Avignon

Very nice hotel located about 2 miles away from Avignon in the bad area. The hotel is gated, but in order to get to Avignon you have to take a bus number 2 which goes every half an hour to an hour. There is an outdated bus schedule at the hotel. The taxi to TGV from the hotel is 20 euros.

Clean but noisy

This was the worst hotel experience of our three week European holiday. The room was neat & clean, but incredibly noisy. The first night my fiancee could not sleep because of noise. The walls are paper thin and sounds seems to be conducted via the air vents. Given the price we paid, we didn't expect a big room (which we didn't get) but we at least expected the room to be quiet. Other than the noise, the room is what you would expect for an Ibis hotel. Small but clean.

Three day visit. Car parked convienently. Catering service a bit haphazard. Interesting city.

the front desk staff was extremely helpful with directions and just overall friendly. We checked in late and checked out early so were not able to participate in breakfast, but it was a great stay for the money!

VIEW OF THE CITY WALLS

We stayed here only one night in order to see the sights in Avignon. The hotel is next to the IBIS Budget and a short walk from the Novotel. They all face the old walls of the city and are on the same road as the railway station. The neighbourhood is nothing special, mainly commercial stuff but quiet when the traffic stops. It is a 10 minute walk into the shopping area but further to the main sights. The room was very small - I am not sure how it would compare with the IBIS Budget or the Novotel. The bathroom was small but serviceable and everything worked. There is air-con and a safe but no kettle or fridge. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. There is a small outside sitting area where you can have breakfast al fresco. The staff were helpful and spoke English when they had to. Avignon is an expensive place to stay so I cannot say that this was good value for money but a reliable standby.

Good for short stay

Clean tidy hotel. The room is a bit small but the location is very good for changing morning train from Avignon Centre station. We can walk to the train station within 15 minutes with our luggages.

Not up to the Ibis standard.

I had quite a pleasant and comfortable stay at an Ibis hotel in Normandy a few days before I got to this hotel in Avignon, thinking it should be of the same quality. Far from it! The bed is too old and soft. Towels don't feel clean. Only bath towel is provided, no hand towel or tissues available in the hotel (I did ask for it). There's a long hair hanging on the edge of the sink when I got in. Lights are way too dim.

Comfortable but basic

Room small, not for lingering, bed comfortable, sheets very comfortable. Big bathroom, very basic toiletries. Limited food but tasty. Clean, tasteful decor, lovely breakfast patio. Staff pleasant and helpful. 10 minute walk to central gare on bumpy pavement.

We stayed one night. Basic breakfast was fine. Clean and quiet.

Well located within 10 min walk to regional train station, bus to TGV station and cafes. We had a view of the old city walls from our window (right outside the window on the other side of the road). Reception staffed 24 hrs and most spoke some English.Breakfast was nice and a reasonable price. It was situated on a busy road so a bit noisy and didn't have the charm of some of the smaller places. I would stay there again.

good breakfast and friendly staff; Palais of the 9 Popes can be reached on foot; Tramway stopp in front of the hotel takes you direct to the train station, which however does't work for TGV-trains; there in a separate train-station for them, about 10 minutes away by taxi, which costs up to € 20,-- extra

Parking near the hotel is free on Sundays, and there’s a temporary spot right at the entrance to unload luggage. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the city center, with the historic city wall just outside the door. While one staff member initially had limited English, another stepped in to assist with check-in and spoke very fluent English. All staff members were patient and helpful throughout our stay.

Gran amabilidad y hospitalidad

Llegamos muy temprano con la intensión de poder visitar bien de la ciudad de Avignon y nos asomamos al hotel únicamente con la idea de ver la posibilidad de guardar el equipaje. Para nuestra sorpresa, la habitación estaba lista y nos permitieron ingresar anticipadamente. Muchas gracias por ser tan amables!

Mon séjour de quelques jours à l'hôtel Ibis d'Avignon durant le festival en juillet s'est très bien passé ! J'ai particulièrement apprécié l'amabilité du personnel et leur écoute. L'hôtel est très calme, la terrasse est agréable, le petit déjeuner est complet et la chambre spacieuse. J'y reviendrais, c'est sûr, l'année prochaine !

Très bon séjour. Une erreur de date de la part du système (hôtels.com ? Ibis ?) : les choses ont été résolues heureusement mais petit coup de stress, donc bien se munir du reçu de réservation pour éviter d’être chargé injustement. Situation parfaite pour le festival, chambre propre et fonctionnelle, literie confortable, bien insonorisé et personnel agréable.

We stayed 2 nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The sound isolation to the hall was abysmal and we were woken up several times in the night and early morning by other guests going to and from their rooms, talking. There were also renovation works going on from 9:45 am. We did not get enough towels - only for the body and feet, nothings for hands/face. One of the towels was a bit stained. The location was quite good (just outside the city walls), there was an elevator and no pets allowed.

La chambre était globalement peu propre et très mal entretenue, avec notamment des moisissures.

C est un hôtel convenable pour une etape. Mais pas de même qualité que d autres établissements ibis. On voit bien qu il y eu une tentative d embellissement des chambres, mais malheureusement dans ce cas, ce n est vraiment pas réussi. La salle de bain est microscopique et rudimentaire, impossible de s’y habiller sans laisser la porte ouverte.

Superbement bien situé près des murs, fenêtres bien isolées malgré proximité du trafic, stationnement à toutes fins gratuit juste à coté... et Ibis Budget juste à côté pour ceux qui veulent plus spartiate!
