Beautiful terrace on the Nile

very nice

Best location, nice Nile River view from room, clean hotel, but very slow service. Took 30 mins to checkin 3 rooms. Also all 3 rooms were on three different floors even though they were booked together. Room was clean but bit outdated. This is the only hotel in our 10 days stays in Egypt where we needed adapter to use our USA phone charger. All other hotels and even in cruise, we were able to plug our charger directly. Also they had only one electric receptacle at the corner of room to use for phone charger. No receptacles on bed sides which was strange. In bathroom, no shower help dispensers. Both dispensers were for shampoo and conditioner. The corner lamp was not working. Water was flowing very slowly in bathroom sink. Nice hotel but need staff training and room upgrades.

Beautiful view of the Nile, lots of different areas to eat, and very friendly and helpful staff. Loved it!

Great hotel

Good hotel in a decent location. The breakfast is always good and the staff is friendly. The hotel is a little old but I’d say this is my favorite hotel in Luxor and this was my second time staying here.

Good, nice location, but hotel outdated had to disconnect light or coffe maker to charge your phone

The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The garden setting on the Nile river is beautiful. We saw 3 wedding parties using the grounds. Although there are various dining restaurant options, most of these were not available. The Lotus boat trip to Dendara would be something I would do next time. The buffet breakfast and dining is excellent and even caters for various allergy sufferers

good location -just ok value for your money

Stayed at this hotel 1 night, after we left our cruise and while we waited for an early morning flight. The room was clean, but basic and incredibly loud (facing the busy street). I can't believe we were assigned that room, as the hotel was far from full, the price was not cheap (not for Egyptian nor US standards), and it was obvious we needed to rest. Impossible without ear plugs. Bathroom was clean, but could use a renovation. The mattress was comfortable, but the only pillow was too large for sleeping. The outside/waterfront area looked nice, stylish, secluded, and comfortable, but we did not get to use it because it was already dark (and pool closed) when we checked-in. Breakfast was nice and varied (pastries, fruits, yogurts, cereals, eggs/omelettes, sausages, juices & coffees), and well presented. Customer service could be improved at the front desk. We had booked a queen bed, but got assigned a room with 2 twins. When we went down immediately after check-in to resolve the issue, the staff behaved as if they were doing us a favor. Again, both rooms (twin beds and queen one) faced the busy street. Unbelievable those rooms are used given the price paid. Location is good, just at the beginning of the river walk --a 10 min stroll to Luxor temple. Safe, lively area. I would not stay again at this hotel. Not recommend if you need to sleep.

This hotel was well located, close to luxor temple, and karnak temple next to the nile river. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly.

I was given a room facing the lobby, no other window! The room is very outdated and it’s clear nobody touched it for ages! The carpet was not clean and you see dust everywhere. The bathroom is also very outdated and requires deep cleaning. Breakfast was ok!

Just stayed for a few hours overnight in a room overlooking the Nile. Arrived at 2.30am. Front desk helpful in guiding price of taxi from airport (saved a lot of money!). Room quiet and clean with fabulous view over the gardens and river in the morning before departing for Temples and cruise. Didn’t partake of breakfast so cannot comment. Staff were all great!

Good value for money. The breakfast is excellent. They even packed it up for me for my 4.30 am departure. The staff is courteous and ready to help. Good location, the Vodafone corporate store was at a walking distance which I needed desperately. The in room menu is reasonable but can be preparation can be improved.

Worth a visit

Great location although our room was over the street and was noisy at night. Room was a little dated but ourside space was fabulous especially the pool area. All of the staff were very helpful, friendly and professional.

Siting of the pool is superb

the garden area on the property was beautifully maintained. The staff was fantastic! I cannot say enough about the staff! The only negative was our room faced the street and it was loud all the time and our shower did not work if you needed hot water.

I have stayed here several times, three times on my own. I choose a Nile facing room with Queen bed and amazing View over the river to Valley of Kings. Early in the morning you can watch the balloons taking off from the opposite bank. The room is very comfortable but the bathroom small though clean. The pool area and small garden is nice. Food options good and with the exchange rate, very good value for visitors.. All the staff are amazing. A special mention for the concierge ( sorry I forget your name) who cannot do enough to help. It was nice to meet the General Manager and the Restaurant Manager. Be back again Inshallah.

An incredible hotel. We spent a week there. The hotel is super well located, c10 mins walk into the centre of town. On the banks of the Nile with incredible views of the Valley of the Kings and the Nile. The swimming pool floats on the Nile and is just wonderful. The grounds that run down to the Nile are beautiful and a real oasis. The service from all the staff however was just on another level - its definitely a 5 star service. All the staff were friendly, helpful, genuine, caring, attentive, but done in a very professional manner, not over the top, just right. The staff made our stay very special and thats what we remember most. You are treated very well by everyone and all the restaurants, bars etc are very good and places you want to go to, away from the hustle and bustle of Luxor itself. I cannot rate this Hotel and its staff high enough, we will definitely visit again next year.

The hotel is located very close to Luxor temple and a very good area indeed. The amenities and ambience is great and breakfast spread/ room were excellent. Only thing which was strange was that rooms didn’t have iron box to press clothes given the hotel amenties and they charged 5$ to have clothes pressed which was a bit farcical I felt. Overall good stay and would recommend it highly nonetheless.

Wonderful stay. Highly recommend the upgrading to the rooms overlooking the nile. Staff were excellent and could not do enough for us. Breakfast was very good.

Absolutely beautiful & plentiful facilities such as garden, pool, restaurants, boat bar, very helpful & friendly staff. We wanted to stay longer & even tried changing our flights to no avail. I would definitely recommend any going to luxor to stay here - you will not be disappointed. Good process for food and beverages for a hotel. Great experience.

The beds were awful, rock hard mattress and pillow. Our room was facing the road and it was so loud all night. Make sure you request a room at the back of the hotel! Location good, pool nice. Food and drink expensive compared to local places

This is my second time back at the hotel that should tell you enough.

The view

Right next to the Nile, a terrace looking out over the gardens where you can have breakfast and the pool is on a boat on The Nile! Central location, easy walk from the Go Bus drop off point.

This hotel is well located for all conveniences and the staff are excellent and very helpful. Though the rooms and interior decor is a bit dated, the hotel offers excellent dining facilities and ample outdoor gardens and a large pool to make the stay really enjoyable.

Beautiful Nile hotel, but bad room allocation.

This is a beautiful hotel with an amazing front lawn, restaurants, fabulous pool and very warm friendly staff. However, they ignored my booking requests for a high floor and double, and also hadn't prepared the extra bed for my daughter. The requested rooms were available, but that took 30 minutes. It's also unfortunate that the first person to approach me in the hotel garden was a felucca trip organiser trying to sell me a trip. I expected the hotel to be relaxing and a break from the world outside. Top tip. Side Nile view rooms are above a street roundabout. Ask for a high floor to avoid the car fumes and noise.

Hotels for the summer

Everything was great, except I did not expect shared accommodations in Venice. That should have been made clear at the beginning. I had to call the owner and wait outside with my luggage in the heat to gain entrance.

Linens were old and grey and the towels too. Otherwise it was fine for a late arrival and early leaving.

I left with a bad taste in my mouth because the tour company recommended by the hotel was horrible and when I went to leave my complaint in front desk the response was (super rude) that next time I would look for my tour online …. I left the property sad and disappointed, wanting to return to Luxor but not to stay with you guys. NEVER 👎

Hotel staying is good, but the cheating behavior of the taxi drivers around the city is really annoying though it’s this city’s problem!

The manager at reception exchanged money for me ,telling me that because of Ramadan he could only get a lower rate (a lot lower),later i was to find their was actually a machine in the hotel!....with a better rate than i got in cairo!!,also when i asked for a move to a room with a balcony overlooking the nile,the girl told me it would be an extra £32,i agreed to this and when i came back to change keys the manager suddenly changed it to £32 a night to the amusement of the female behind the reception who had initially told me £32,i felt the manager was showing off go the girls that he could do/charge what he wanted!......the room manager was very helpful and the food was good!

Really good location in Luxor. Staff friendly. The breakfast had good options. The outside areas are very nice, lots of areas to sit and the pool area is a nice addition on the Nile. Room was a big size so lots of space and even in the heat was a nice temperature without using the aircon or heating

It was refreshing to stay at iberotel. Luxor temple is a short walk away. Karnak is also relatively close. The hotel has a solid breakfast and the grounds are well maintained. The shower in the room was moldy but I guess that’s to be expected in Egypt. Other than that it was a good stay.

The location is great. It’s on the Nile and within walking distance to Luxor temple. The hotel room is dated, very small bathroom. Big issue was the hard mattress. I have never ever had to sleep on such hard mattress, luckily we there for only 2 nights. The staff however is very friendly and helpful, and prompt in service.

The hotel has a river front position with a swimming pool on the Nile which is unique. We really enjoyed our swim in the pool. It's within walking distance of Luxor Temple and the Winter Palace. It is, however, at a noisy corner and the balcony door on our initial room didn't close properly which left the glazing ineffective. Fortunately we were moved on day 2 but there was no apology.... Breakfast is very good with a wide range of options and very pleasant waiting staff.

Almost everything was wonderful. My room had a loose outlet which made charging my phone difficult. Staff throughout the property is lovely. I would definitely stay again. Location is good - walking distance to Karnak, Luxor, and the museums. The pool right on the Nile is a fun feature.

Worth it.

Hotel is in a fabulous location, just next to the Luxor hotel. We walked to the train station in 11-minutes. Staff were accomodating and friendly at all times. Clean facilities. Food was excellent. Loved the pool bar for relaxing with a coffee over the Nile. So glad we stayed here. Thoroughly recommend

i had a early check in . it was good. the staff was very helpful. they also organised some trips for me. the restaurant and the breakfast was great too. the road seamed busy and noisy. nut i had no trouble sleep. the phone charging location from the bed was a bit difficult.

Great location but not so great service.

Great location on the East Bank on the Nile Corniche. Lovely views of the Nile river. Check in was not great - incorrect room was assigned as the booking was not looked at correctly - was then given another room on a lower floor overlooking the garden and Nile. Room was ok - a bit outdated and limited facilities. Wouldn't advise on taking a room above the garden cafe as it stays open all night with loud music playing - was awoken by the music and had to call reception twice and complain before they switched it off. On check out the night manager wasn't really bothered about my complaints and just carried on with the checkout. So I'd say if you're going to book this place - take a room on a higher floor or on the side.

Fantastic breakfast buffet. Helpful staff found us an affordable taxi. Great location with beautiful views of the Nile. They helped us finding a tour and laundry was great too!

2 day trip to Luxor

Good hotel and location; However the rooms are weary and needs a serious uplift. Service is slow and check in experience was poor. Breakfast spread was great and location amazing.

Very happy with this place. Nice, clean, great pool with nile view.

Choice of places to eat. Fabulous view over Nile. Woke up every morning to hot air balloons floating over west bank. Only small quibble not much veggie choice in bar. Although wifi not perfect it worked enough for us.

Staff were very accommodating no matter where you went in the hotel. Very friendly. Sometime the younger inexperienced staff in the restaurants needed more direction to get things done but generally others were always cleaning or fixing things. I really appreciate feeling safe by security and concierge.

Public areas especially the gardens and pool are gorgeous. Loads of seats and loungers for watching the sun set over the nile. Idyllic. The rooms are clean and comfortable and good size but a bit dated and worn. The light fittings wobbled etc. I had a balcony indoors looking at reception. If i went back I'd look at upgrading to a nile view room

The customer service at this hotel is amazing! The gentleman that help with the bags are friendly and kind. Mayar is amazing! I don’t think I have ever seen anyone handle as many details at one time and remain calm, cool, and collected. She is, in my opinion, a rockstar! Breakfast is good, and the cooks are very friendly. I would recommend more staff to help with coffee/tea/ cleaning tables service.

Good hotel in a great location, avg service.

Great location right next to the Nile river, the pool is amazing and back garden as well, the hotel is great overall, breakfast is very good and lots of options. It can get really noisy since its next to a main street. Internet is really bad, all over the place, the hotel is a 5 minute walk to the luxor temple. overall a good experience.

The hotel looks older in person. Beds are not that comfy and when we asked for an iron they said they didn’t have any in hand, and that the only option was to send clothes to the laundry services.

The staff is super responsive. Mr. Ahmed dealt with some of my concerns, as did some of the other team members throughout the stay. Wish i spent some time in the lovely garden. Would highly recommend the River view over the Street view.

Very friendly staff

Rooms are extremely outdated and a little dusty. Beds are hard and sheets are rough, but clean. The hotel grounds are nice, however. Pool deck and restaurants are great. Location is convenient as a walk to Luxor Temple is around 10 minutes only. I did have an issue with staff knocking on my door at 10-11 PM at night offering things I did not request. Despite having a “Do Not Disturb” sign. I thought that was weird and I was solo, so it was a little unnerving.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! We were so pleased with all of the amenities and the view from our balcony was incredible.

Loved my stay at Iberotel to start off my trip in Egypt. Everyone was very welcoming. Their is safety at the hotel. We took the room with view on the Nile and I must say that the view was breathtaking. You can also take a boat to cross the Nile from the hotel. We even had our private boat driver that became a new friend. Also, the breakfast has a lot of varieties. The food was to my liking. The decor of the hotel is nice. Our room was not that big, but it was totally fine for two people. I would suggest to have buy a sim card once you arrived at the airport. Although, the wifi at the hotel was still good, even in the room.

Overnight stay while waiting to board on a Nile cruise. It was the perfect location for an evening walk along the river and Luxor temple.

I liked everything the room the food the people

This is both an honest and objective summary to benefit potential future guests and hotel management. I stayed at the hotel from April 14-21 after reading several reviews. The purpose of which was to decide if we recommend this hotel for clients we host for tours in Luxor. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The exterior of the property is well maintained. The view is gorgeous. The outside seating area, both swimming pools, Lotus Boat, and lobby are very nice. However, once you enter the floors to access the actual rooms the experience changes dramatically. The hotel does not smell fresh or clean. The woodwork is clearly aged, in both the hallway and inside the room. Though the bed linen and towels (especially the bath towel and face towel) were very good quality, the mattress quality was thin and uncomfortable. They also do not use a mattress pad between the fitted sheet and the mattress. I wish that the property owners would invest into better mattresses and refreshing and cleaning the doors, furniture, and closets. Wifi access was ok as well. In general I was safe and had a good view but I did not enjoy my room. I would have second thoughts about recommending this location to our clients who visit Luxor for Tours. Also, the pictures of the property must have been edited to make the rooms look much brighter and new than they actually are.

Great hotel, close to train station (perfect if coming in the Watania Night Train from Cairo). Staff very professional and able to accommodate early check-in. Property ground is gorgeous! Great views to Nile river. They have Feluccas rides within the hotel that we are also a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended!

Great Stay!

Overall excellent experience. Clean, comfortable rooms and great breakfast. During our stay we saw them bringing in a lot of new mattresses too. So they're making the rooms even comfier!

Property typical of an airport hotel. We got there late hoping to get a few hours before our connecting flight. The room was hot and took quite some time to be comfortable. Not how it should be.

We were uncertain about this hotel bc of the mixed reviews. So we stopped by and asked to see the property and the rooms first. Mayar in guest relations gave us a tour of the property and helped us choose the perfect room. We absolutely loved our first night and we're now booking more nights! If you're on a budget, chose a room facing the lobby. It's spacious and even has a living room area. Everything is very clean and comfy! Best sleep we've had since arriving in Egypt 12 nights ago. Breakfast has wide variety of items and super tasty! Beautiful grounds and pool area by the Nile. Wi-fi works great!! - We're budget travelers and being here during Ramadan when prices are high, we typically wouldn't stay in a nice hotel like this. But we quickly found out the infrastructure around Luxor is very low. We initially booked an apt on the west bank of the river. Our driver couldn't find the place even using gps. It was all narrow dirt roads and we didn't feel comfortable at all. So we decided to get a proper hotel on the east bank in the vicinity of the Hilton. So here we are! We love it here and we're booking more nights!

The hotel was horrible. It was not as updated and clean as the pictures looked at all. The workers tried to bring things I didn’t ask for to my room and then stood outside my room for 10 minutes waiting for tips it was extremely uncomfortable. There were no washcloths or Iron available at the hotel at all. The pool was freezing. I had to check out early, I never want to go back.

Great place to stay in Luxor.

Excellent hotel in great location, 10 minutes walk to the temple and souk.. Balcony view on the river Nile for stunning sunsets, great room service with very tasty food. Beautiful, well maintained garden and clean swimming pool area.

The hotel was incredible. Amazing infinity pool to the Nile river. Great food with a variety of options. Staff were very friendly and room was really nice and comfortable too.

Great breakfast, poor saggy bed

The Iberotel hotel is well situated on the Nile River close to main attractions. Very good breakfasts and pleasant and helpful staff. It was just a shame that the beds are so poor, old and saggy. Admittedly the staff did replace the mattress with another that was marginally better. Overall I recommend the hotel and the price was reasonable.

I have stayed alone at this hotel 3 times. The view from Nile facing rooms is astounding. Valley of Kings opposite, many little boats and cruise boats pass by. You can see balloons taking off early morning. Hotel boats outside for trips. Taxi rank opposite. The staff are friendly and efficient. Pool floating from a pontoon in the river. Excellent. Not the most luxurious or modern interior but comfortable and food options excellent. Bathroom small but clean. I use trusted old friends for my trips but there are plenty of tourist guides and trips to be arranged.

Fantastic 3 night stay at the Iberotel. Staff was wonderful, food was excellent and the hotel itself was perfect. Would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back.

Walk to Luxor Temple

An OK experience

The room was just ok. The bathroom was not very clean. But I did appreciate that the bell hop helped us with our luggage and he was very kind. We ordered drinks at the bar near the pool and the bar tender gave us the wrong drinks. Then when we asked about it, he said it wasn't in season. (Instead of a Tamarindo Margherita, he gave us a coconut drink. My friend is allergic to coconut.)

super hotel

Nice hotel, nice location, nice staff. Only -ish... the time for the food. We ordered few meals there and because they are really busy, the food is often cold on his arrival.

Terrible experience,never go again.

Terrible check in, booked a superior room, gave us one overlooking a noisy,dusty building site, when I complained, was told I'd need to pay $40 per night to move to other side, we waited 3 hours to be changed only to get a room with no balcony, no mini bar, only one chair and no water, when I asked reception for water was told " you don't need any, you can get a coffee in the restaurant. I could keep going on ,but just will say AVOID at any cost.

Had 3 sleepless nights So noisy as on main road and trafgic never stops asked for room change and hotel didnt accomadate. Really disappointed

Ideal location to stay in Luxor

Right on the bank of Nile, 10-15 min walk to Luxor temple, bus or train station . Actually it's not a hotel, it's a small resort with pool on Nile floating platform, restaurant, nice backyard with trees and flowers. We stayed 2 nights in the room with a balcony facing Nile river, so we could enjoy beautiful view of Nile with cruising feluccas and boats, flying colorful balloons early in morning, beautiful sunset in evening. You can even see Hatshepsut temple across the river. Even that the room was on the right side of the building, close to the busy road, we did not have any issues with a noise. Good buffet breakfast and dinner, front door security, clean rooms, friendly stuff.

The outdoor facilities (sitting areas/pool/gardens) were absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast and dinner buffet had lots of options and the food was lovely. The Italian a la carte restaurant was also good although the service was very slow (this is something we experienced in Egypt in general though as just the culture). The rooms... well.. the bedroom was fine and was clean and modern/simple but the bathroom... oh dear. Black grime in the shower, and bits and hair in the bathtub - this was not clean. Amenities were poor - 2 bath towels and a hand towel but nothing else. No towel to lay next to bathtub or face towels. Staff were polite and helpful - they looked after our bags very well as we left them at the hotel on our last day.

It’s a ok stay

It was a ok stay. we had to ask for a set of towels (there was none in the room) for 3 times. Bedding was not done properly. We found a pin (to hold head scarf) on the floor. Luckily I didn’t step on it.
