Good to Great but not perfect yet

We recently stayed at the hotel for a couple's getaway to celebrate my husband's birthday. Overall, we had a great time, and if I could, I'd give it 4.5 stars rather than 4. There were some fantastic moments that made our stay special, but a few disappointments kept it from being perfect. The atmosphere was ideal for a quiet trip without kids around, and the hotel surprised us with complimentary treats for my husband's birthday, which was a nice touch. The room was spotless, and the breakfast selection, complete with Champagne, lived up to 5-star standards. The reception staff were friendly and always helpful. However, there were a few downsides. We were drawn to the hotel for the rooftop views, but found out access was limited to VIPs or restaurant guests. We later learned the rooftop bar would have allowed us to enjoy the view, but by then, it was too late. This lack of communication left us absolutely disappointed. Additionally, the restaurant staff could have been more welcoming; they felt less friendly compared to the reception. There was also an incident where we weren’t allowed to sit at a table for four as a couple, yet a single guest was seated there shortly after, leaving us feeling unfairly treated. Overall, it was a great stay, and I’d rate it 4.5 stars for value and experience. With a bit more warmth in service and clearer communication, it would be a 5-star.

There is some area in hotel where you need to paid ,like to use the pool which they showed like advertising But you can’t use it !!! And nobody infirm about it when you reserve the room

hotel was clean and room spacious. Had an early morning check out and was told at reception we could go in for breakfast early, 7 instead of 7.30, but was met with a waitress who wasn’t happy. No offer of coffee, no cutlery given so we left having a bread and ham roll. Short walk to the beach. Lots of bar areas and eateries along the seafront but felt a bit like Benidorm. Lots of street sellers. Didn't like the toilet and shower area as it was open plan. Apart from your room there was insufficient air con in all other areas, making it uncomfortable to eat in the restaurant or drink in the bar area. The gym was far too warm. Booked all inclusive, but it isn’t, been informed this is due to government regulations now. Food was good, but lunch time was repetitive, compared to Iberostar we stayed at in Tenerife. Spa treatment was good but again air quality was uncomfortable. Overall a nice hotel but we will not return as it was expensive for what you got, and the restrictions now imposed.

Very beautiful and well kept hotel. The room was stunning and the pool on the property was very clean.

Marc was amazing he works at the front desk we loved him very much he made our stay very enjoyable, and the breakfast is amazing with so much variety!

Need a stronger ac in the hotel and in the room. Room was never able to be cooled below 24c. Also it would be heplful to install outdoor fans on the ceiling of the outdoor dining area to increase airflow

Amazing, quiet and relaxing hotel. Staff very friends, rooms were lovely and hotel is near the beach. If you want a quiet relaxing week with great weather, you couldn’t choose a nice place.

I wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star hotel, but it’s nice for the area.

Hotel Staff were exceptional

Hotel Staff were exceptional. Overall experience was superb, breakfast and dinner really high quality and constantly changing. In room experience was excellent. Special mention to Julia for her daily entertainment. We recommend the activities. The area around the hotel is not great though so take some trips to Palma or just stay in the hotel. We only left the hotel 1 day in our 10 day stay.

The staff is very nice and friendly. The hotel has a lot of restrictions not listed on their website when booking a room, specifically for all inclusive packages. Please check before you booked your stay. The restaurant on top floor is Terrible.please have someone explain their rules before you come here.

property was nice, modern and clean in a good location. Only 5 minute walk to the beach, dining and shopping. Unfortunately, the all inclusive and star prestige amenities need improvement. Review the fine print before you go and ask a ton of questions since everything isn't clearly spelled out. With Only 1 pool, lots of limitations for all inclusive and star prestige access, you might find the upgrade/upcharge is simply not worth it. Great hotel overall but improvements needed relative to overall experience. Improvement recommendations include more hours to access rooftop bar, dining and pool area, more premium options for star prestige (ex. VIP check in. premium drinks included vs for fee, etc.)

Beautiful hotel. Staff are amazing. Buffet style food, fresh and well displayed. Lots of choice. Water dispenser on our floor which was a so handy, dispensing fizzy and plain cold water. Pool area very clean and water temperature just right. A short pleasant walk to the beach. Short taxi ride into Palma.

Amazing stay, would definitely stay again

The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. It’s a good base for sightseeing in Palma (via the very cheap bus services) but be aware that the nearby Playa is “party central” for (mostly) German stag and hen parties. It’s not unsafe but it can be noisy and the local cafes and restaurants are largely targeted at this demographic. We were on the Iberostar B&B rate, which proved to be a good choice. Be aware a) that there are local laws that restrict the amount of alcohol that can be included in any “all inclusive” rate and b) the hotel itself restricts the food options for “AI” customers - such that “all inclusive” customers get less value, in my view. Also, while the “Star Prestige” package does give some benefits such as upper floor rooms and discounts in the restaurants - the SP exclusive rooftop lounge has only a very shallow “pool” (such that swimming is impossible) and closes very early (6PM) - thus you might not want to pay too much extra for SP either. The hotel is however very clean and with a good range of organised activities and evening entertainments in the bar, which we enjoyed. There’s also a Spa/gym, which we did not use.

Lovely staff and 5 star hotel features, this was our second trip here and we weren’t let down at all.

Advertising free parking but there are only 5 parking spaces (for a hotel with 300 rooms ish) which are for free. Parking garage is 18€/day

We enjoyed four nights at The Iberostar selection Llaut. Staff were all superb and friendly. We had a bed and breakfast package, the breakfast was amazing. Only downside was a lumpy bed and not too keen on the area.

Wonderful off- season weekend

The hotel was fully staffed and running despite much of the island being in off-season slumber. Hearty buffets with wide selections for both breakfast and dinner. Staff was superb. Easy bus access at the front door or one block away eliminated need for car or taxi.

Loveliest hotel we’ve ever stayed in

This was our second stay as we loved it last year. As well as superb facilities and service, the hotel has a lovely calming atmosphere. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the bar is great for an evening cocktail.

Great place to stay!!

My friend & I enjoyed Iberostar Llaut Palma. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The resort itself was very clean and nice. Our room was spacious and clean, had a balcony, and the shower was extremely spacious and had wonderful pressure. If you are renting a car, the parking is convenient as well. Restaurant Orza (buffet) offered delicious options, and made our all inclusive worth it. The resort was walking distance to the beach and other restaurants. I would definitely stay there again if I ever visit Palma again.

Beautiful resort and friendly staff. However, the all inclusive regulations should be written down for each guest using them to avoid less confusion. The Japanese restaurant needs more availability and to be open more throughout the day to those paying for the all inclusive. The buffet food was alright.

Friendly stuff and very responsive.

Great stay in a convenient area of Palma/Arenal. Breakfast was great and had a lot of options. Parking was a breeze. Pool and spa facilities were great. 2 blocks from the beach and all the action. Had some trouble with air conditioning but it was well handled. Would highly recommend

The hotel was lovely. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink. The outdoor pool and spa facilities were top notch (although it gets very busy). There are a lot of party going tourists staying near the hotel and I was woken up a few times during the night by the noise. We were expecting a response from the hotel/Expedia as I emailed 3 times in advance of our stay to plan an anniversary celebration in the hotel rooftop bar and didn't receive a response from the hotel. On the negative side, there was no information available in the room or given to us at check-in and on the day of checking out I was refused a towel at the pool when I wanted to have a swim. We had been locked out of our room during breakfast and the cards did not work so one of us had to get this sorted at reception. The lady at the pool did not want to know about this and refused a towel and on drying myself with my clothes a lovely gentleman came to the rescue with a towel. Not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel.

Upgrade was same room but pool view, parking free, bed mattress and pillows are very hard and uncomfortable. Extractor from the bathroom not working, air conditioning stops during the nights, good breakfast

I get the upgrade to standard room pool view only because I insist with reception, not really an upgrade because the hotel was not full and they have a lot of better option than standard room like prestige level but …. For them being a gold vip member from Expedia has not a lot of value. Hotel is almost new, some employees very good other very unfriendly. Location is not in the beach, like 500m Room ok but the extractor on the toilet not working, bed Mattress too hard, cushion and sheet bad quality, air conditioning sometimes turn off alone, positive point of vip access was the free parking. I will not came back again in this hotel

Stayed at a few Iberostar Selection now and this one had amazing friendly staff

Great resort.

It was an absolutely amazing experience! Thank you for great service, great staff, amazing food and a calm atmosphere. Will be recommending again and if budget allows in the future, we will most certainly stay again. Thank you to the reception staff who helped organise a nice birthday surprise for the birthday girl.

Our Mallorca stay was great!

Our room was so spacious and we really liked all the lighting. The shower was amazing. The staff was great. We loved our stay.

Hotel was great but more vegetarian options needed at breakfast - all egg stations at breakfast were cross contaminated.

Wish a better selection at breakfast. We do understand we can't compare Iberostar in Cancun with this property but still should have a better variety at breakfast. Dinner on Tuesday was a little below average as the fish was not fresh - smelly! The other days are much better selection and quality

Nice placer Near the beach

Nice hotel with good facilities. As an Expedia Gold member various ‘rewards’ were advertised to me that I didn’t receive. Unfortunately I felt the sauna, steam room and water temp of the inside pool were not warm enough. But staff were lovely, rooms had great views, buffet breakfast lots of choice.

I can’t fault this hotel in any way - the rooms, the building, decor, facilities, the food and drink and the excellent staff. After five wonderful days, we really didn’t want to leave.

Gold Member not Respected

Didn't recognise gold status, didn't offer upgrade even though they had them available. Didn't let me check in two hours before, as stated. All inclusive a joke, could only have wine, cava or beer. Room not as stated...

Lovely property would def go there again.

Absolutely loved staying at this hotel. We did half board so our breakfast was included. I also recommend staying star prestige and getting the Seaview room - it is amazing for sunsets in the evening. The staff was incredibly friendly, extremely welcoming and very helpful and kind. Super clean, amazing amenities they even give you a beach bag and towels! The area is central enough but I highly recommend renting a car, we rented ours through the hotel which was extremely smooth and easy! 10/10 would stay here again.

Really enjoyed the stay at the hotel, really nice place! Loved the 7th floor restaurant, food was great. Only think that would make a 9/10 not 10/10 is the AC which was a little below par given the 35+degree heat!

Upon arrival I explained my perks as a gold member. They did not upgrade my room claiming availability. However, they did try to sell me a better room with a discount. They did not want to honor the late check out and blocked my room key . They later apologized, after ruining our last day . The hotel is very nice , breakfast is great but staff seems overwhelmed. Area is close to the airport and Platja de Palma is kind of noisy , with lots of drunk youth (at night).

Very pleasant stay

Excellent food at the Orza buffet for dinner and a very nice breakfast. This combined with kind staff and really good service made the food experience at the hotel superb. Reception was very helpful if you had questions. Kind staff. The room was elegant. Cleaning was excellent. Drinks in lobby were a delight. The live music, piano and guitar enhanced the experience. The area has a lot of nice activities nearby and close to the beach. Palma and the airport is easy accessible with taxi that the hotel orders for you if you ask. Nice with the spa area during a rainy day, the saunas were relaxing. Personally I would have enjoyed a little warmer water in the bubbel pool closets to the saunas. And the opportunity to enjoy a beer or sparkling wine in this area too. But overall good and easy accessed. For the price we paid for a 5 days stay with half boared included I give this hotel 10 / 10.

Excellent place to stay

This hotel is an excellent choice if you want to be near a beach but away from the loud city. The Iberostar is a quick 5 minute walk from a great beach. There are several fantastic restaurants and bars across the beach as well. The hotel itself is clean and beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Everything was excellent for our stay. Highly recommended and staff couldn’t do enough to help.

The pool shows on your web site is only for exclusive customer and not for all but only know it upon arrival. The pool on ground floor is small and not like the one show on the advertisement ! A bit disappointed! But the Japanese fusion restaurant is very good and I enjoy dinner there!

Always lovely to stay here

Always lovely to stay here, on our last occasion, I called the hotel in the morning of arrival to check the spa was open, we were told yes, when we arrived we were advised that it was closed, Due to covid19: disappointed

Quiet and peaceful environment around the hotel. Professional and efficient service from staff. Very good food provided in a very healthy environment.

I liked the champagne on arrival. I did not like that there was a 20Euro per night charge for parking. I expected free self parking. I did not like the hydrospa - the water was cold, and also that you could not get a meal in that place and had to pay 35 Euros for a full dinner buffer. I also could not get to the included breakfast included because of a really early flight. More options should be available for travelers.

Fabulous!!! The pictures do not feature how this hotel looks like in real life.. it is true to its 5* rating We arrived and we was upgraded to a suite room overlooking the pool. The views was lovely, we had a hot tub in the balcony. And bathroom was outstanding in the room! We was celebrating my partner's birthdays it was lovely. The location is good to the strip, close to the airport, breakfast buffet is lovely.

Dining facilities were not up to 5 star standard. Dining room was overcrowded with tightly spaced tables and very dark in places. One night we were asked to wait in lounge as no tables were available!

My husband and I visited here in October 2019. The room and hotel communal areas were lovely however we would not go back to this hotel or any iberostar hotel because the food was terrible. The breakfast is really poor. There is a vending machine for coffee - the coffee isn't great and it takes a long time either waiting for staff or queuing to get another. The food is below average - not what you would expect at a 5 star hotel. Additionally, the roof terrace is for star prestige customers only - otherwise the roof terrace is not available until 7pm. This is not clear from Expedia and we were not told this when we checked in. It would have been good to know that before we booked.

Very nice and large room, comfortable beds, brilliant breakfast and excellent spa! Loved the hotel!

The hotel is new and modern. The room was spacious and with excellent facilities. The food was varied and excellent with a wide selection for vegetarians and meat /fish eaters.Excellent staff with a very attentive and professional guest manager and staff.

nice hotel but let down by the hard product

Nice hotel, in a good location. The staff and food were fantastic, but the rooms and hard product let the hotel down. I would not rate the hotel 5 stars more like 4 stars. Would I return? Yes, I would, and hope things were better. Perhaps looking to return next year.

Close to the airport. Easy to jump on a shuttle to the city center. Nice to be just outside the main tourist area

Top notch staff. Very friendly and helpful with telling us about the area. Even translated a few things for us. Location and view from the hotel was beautiful, only about a block away from the beach.

This is a great hotel - lovely facilities, great room and stunning pool. However, after my stay I was charged for items I did not use in the room. Despite emailing 3 times post return the staff have not refunded this. A real shame as it was a lovely stay. Customer service is really poor. Still awaiting refund on items I was charged for which put a dampener on my stay here. Wouldn’t rush back as a result of the service.

Watch out for the AI

The hotel was lovely in almost everyway. We stayed for 4 days on their all-inclusive plan following a similar stay at the Iberostar Alcudia Park in Mallorca last year. The all-inclusive was explained but was slightly confusing, drink without a * on the menu were included which is easy enough to deal with, the food not so much. Basically only food in the main restaurant is included, not the bar or pool bat (drink are though) We were told at check in if insufficient people were on the AI package the restaurant would not be opened at lunchtime and a "special menu" would be available in the bar. at check out we received the bill for the food from the pool bar which we never signed for so had no clue until the day we left. fortunately only a short stay but tainted the trip. ps mini bar in included ! if want AI stay elsewhere. the Alcudia Park had a wrist band that should be considered at this resort.

Good, but not quite there

A very plush and shiny five star that falls a little short. The service is mostly impeccable and the bar and restaurant staff do a great job. However, there are some ways in which it all feels like form over function - an example being the strange bathroom layout with the sink in the room itself and the shower and toilet in separate little areas. This just doesn't work especially well, and you end up shuffling around on a bath mat getting to your towel or to the sink. It just feels like fancy design for the sake of fancy design. Similarly, the route via the stairs down from the bar to the spa is really plain. I don't know if they were aiming for minimalist but they landed on a "well painted car park staircase' feel. The signposting in this area isn't minimalist, it's inadequate. Still - good things included great quality linens, beds, bathrobes. Drinks made with pride and care. The buffet food was a bit hit and miss, as it usually is. Some of it was outstanding, some was recycled from the day before - and not very creatively. Room service food was pretty poor and appeared to be thrown together from the buffet. The outside area isn't great, and sadly not a patch on the two Hipotels next door. Off season, the outdoor pool had been rather unattractively roped off, and was not lit at night. There was plenty to like about the hotel but rather too many areas where it felt it wasn't quite living up to a high opinion of itself. Seems to be focussed on corporate guests.

one of the Best hotels in Palma

It was my first stay with Iberostar and I loved it there. Our room was super clean and furniture looked very modern and brand new. We had dinner and breakfast which were great. Above all, the female staff at the restaurant, who I don’t know the name, was so friendly and attentive! Would definitely love to return, as a matter of the fact, I booked at another Iberostar in Malaga for this week!

The hotel was amazing. I really enjoyed my time here, and it was sad to leave. The room itself was amazing and clean. There are buttons to press if you want your room cleaned and also when you don't want to be disturbed and also for air-con and the lights. The lights can be dimmed and changed to meet your standards. The food was amazing. Both at breakfast and dinner, there are chefs who cook the food on sight. My eggs were cooked fresh in front of me each morning, and for dinner, you can select which meat/fish you want coked and again it is cooked right in front of you. The food was amazing and there was a wide variety. I didn't use the pool, as the weather wasn't quite right for it, but the spa was also amazing. I did get a back massage, leg massage and exfoliation treatment, whilst there and all three were amazing and decently priced. The best thing of all was the staff. I cannot rememebr all there names, but I think Franko at the front desk. Very nice and lovely. Nico, who made me the best cocktails, and Georgi who was so polite, always ensured that I sat where i wanted to sit for breakfast and dinner. He also made an effort to know my name and room number and also exactly which wine i like which he would bring to me as soon as i arrived for dinner. The customer service from the staff was amazing. They are all super polite and make the hotel 10 stars! best hotel I have been to!!!

Wonderful hotel, only let down by spa access

Our first experience of staying at Iberostar in Mallorca. Super warm welcome at check-in and great room (we only booked a double but really impressed with the size, facilities etc.). Great food, huge selection at breakfast and dinner, and always a friendly hello. Bus stop just a 5 minute walk will take you into Palma, flat and level access all around, and an easy 5 minute walk down to the beach and promenade which was great - full of restaurants, cafes etc. and loads of places to hire bikes, scooters, e-bike etc. There is, however, a reason why this review is not 5 stars... we booked for a Feb half term break expecting to be able to have access to the indoor pool as the outdoor one was obviously too cold to use this time of year, so were really disappointed to be told there was no access to anyone under the age of 18 at any time. This meant our 12 year old could not use the indoor pool at all. Obviously, we understand the age limit for the spa facilities and treatments, but can't understand why there isn't say a schedule time e.g. 10am-12pm when the pool can be used by families. This is pretty standard in most hotels, and certainly in the winter months would make a huge difference. We weren't the only people there with children, and this was a huge disappointment.

Nice hotel close to airport and beach

Very comfortable, modern hotel. Close to the airport, 5 minutes walk to beach. Good location to explore different parts of Mallorca with a car. Great service, although checkin was a bit slow. Pverall very good!

Great Holiday

Well our hotel was re-allocated to the Iberostar Playa, but im very sure the hotel was lovely from the pictures, hence why we picked it. Ana was very helpful in making sure our other hotel was good and it was great. Ana was very helpful and quick to sort out our booking. I will try again next time and hopfuly i get to stay😁 But we had a great holiday.

Lovely find.

Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean and great breakfast. We went at the end of October, the only downside is the pool isn't heated and under 16yrs aren't allowed in the indoor pool. We chose this hotel due to the fact it had an indoor pool and the weather can be cold in October.

Great hotel

It is a lovely hotel with great service. The view from the top floor restaurant is amazing! We had a lovely couple of days.

The best 5 star luxurious with a capital L . Hotel has luxury rooms. I got upgraded to room 120 it had three balconies an outside jacuzzi, four poster bed . 52 inc Smart TV that spirled around the room . Just perfect.

Very clean and luxe hotel. Great clean and big room with view of the ocean. Good meal options at the buffet. Good location to get to Palma easily.
