Beach is beautiful

For two nights the air conditing leaked all over the bed and on the third morning the panel was coming down

The property was beautiful. The food was decent. There was not anything you could walk to other than the resorts own shopping. The beach was super pretty. However, I found it irritating that they continuously try to sell you the member package. Even leaving the restaurants, they try to ask you to go to the timeshare presentation. Very aggravating! We went to an iberostar in playa del Carmen and loved it which is why we went here. However, I’d say take your money elsewhere.

It was good but the phone in my room wasn’t working they fixed it a day before I left, a lot of smokers everywhere but besides that service was great and friendly hotel food was good too had a great time

Did not explore much around the property itself, so cannot truly review however, I did go scuba diving at Bahibe Iberostar and I worked around the area. It's pretty average from what you would hope for but a little step above your average island. Tried to stay on resort(s) and the ocean!

Overall it’s beautiful, most of the staff is friendly and helpful. I wish they would pay better attention to the beach/pool chairs, a lot of them need fixing. They need to pay better attention to the food expiring also, things were sometimes sour tasting or going bad or just too old/recycled.

We weren't offered the upgrade as we requested. Our room smelled of mold, and we did not have the opportunity to make reservations at the a la carte restaurants - it was first come first serve, but the restaurants were nearly empty, and long lines outside. The a la carte restaurants were extremely slow and dinner took more than 2 hours. Felix - amazing at the buffet area - kind and pleasant - the staff is what made our trip enjoyable. Good People work there!

Great hotel

The property is very pretty & the beach is nice. There are 2 big, uncrowded pools. Most of the staff were helpful. But overall I would not recommend this resort. We stayed 4 nights. We did not enjoy the food, which could be a matter of taste. We found the app & website to have conflicting info, with no reliable source of where things were or when they were happening, including hours the restaurants & pool were open. The pool appeared to close between 6 & 7 pm, which is very early for adult guests who would enjoy an evening swim with a drink. We never found any entertainment other than one night of karaoke. The casino was mostly just broken slots. We were without hot water for 2 days with no explanation or eta for repair. Our first full day there consisted of a high pressure sales pitch for what was ostensibly a time share from multiple "concierges". This was approached multiple more times over 3 days. There were vendors set up all over the resort selling trinkets & art that first day. They were aggressive, going so far as to grab my arm on multiple occasions when I (a woman) was walking alone. It was almost impossible to avoid these sellers. I anticipate this kind of sales tactic off resort, but found it extremely off-putting and anxiety inducing to have to constantly say no thank you & walk faster to get away from groups of men who followed and grabbed at me. It was the opposite of a relaxing start to what should have been a peaceful vacation. We will not return.

Love this hotel very much. Stayed there for six times and will book it again for next year vacation.

Found a small roach in the room, and dinning options they were not good also the food from restaurants was most of it the same from the buffet.

Property and staff was excellent . Was not a huge fan of the food.

Overall, I did like this property. However I did like Riu a bit better in Punta Cana. The people are much nicer at Riu. Buffets are hit and miss. Restaurants are very good. Beach is good, got bit up by bugs really bad tho. The rooms were clean but bathrooms stunk. Overall it was 6/10. Definitely not the worst but better resorts out there.

Overall we are very pleased with our stay at this place. We greatly enjoyed view, great food, beach, pools, live evening entertainment. The only thing we found annoying is excessive amount of various sales at hotel beach and at the property- too much.

This resort was kept clean and properly maintained. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the well seasoned food at the buffets. There was entertainment every night. we had a great time.

Bad service , rooms stink , terrible food , staff don’t understand English well .

We were unable to get reservations at the restaurants we wanted thought they did not look to be full at any point when walking past them during dinner times. Our toilet broke and it took three phone calls, a trip to the front desk, and a wait time of just over six hours before anyone came to fix it (even though we were told someone was on there way several times. The fire alarm went off on two consecutive mornings. The water and ice machines on the second floor where we stayed were out the entire time we were there. All of the drinks in the fridge were bottles yet you had to purchase a bottle opener to drink them. Much of the staff was friendly in the bars and restaurants, but I found most of the other staff couldn’t care less about our experience at their property. The best part of the trip was the beach and the weather (things the staff had no control over).

Processed food overload. Shocked at lack of fresh options specifically in restaurants that require reservation. Its the same bulk processed food from the buffets. 6/7 meals the food was not served hot and the mix of humanity makes for unsanitary safe serving practices particularly at the buffets. Most service providers are kind, genuine and demonstrate hood customer service. The exceptions leave a bad impression.

The property was beautiful and the service was excellent.

Staff was not helpful and lacked communication skills. Food was the same every day. Restaurants were slightly better than buffet. Beach area was not kept clean though pools were very clean

Food was good. Everything else was ok nothing unusual.

The property was very pretty. The rooms were not great (broken door handle). I did not like that dining selections were very restricted. Pools were okay, pool bar lines were very long (30 minute wait!) and drinks were tiny and poor quality.

The staff at the hotel go above and beyond to make sure you have fun!

I came on Sunday, They closed the buffet by the beach on Monday because of the construction work they decided to do during this busy time of the season, and instead of enjoying the sound of the beach I was hearing the sound of pneumatic hammer. It was very bad. They have 4 drink bars by the beach and pool, on Thursday they open only one around 1pm, so I had to spend one hour in line to get anything to drink. During dinner time to get the table another waiting line. Terrible experience!!! One day my room was not cleaned, so we couldn’t take a shower because we had no dry towel, couldn’t even take one from the pool because they closed at 7pm. I will never go back there again. And I’m not sure if I ever travel by Expedia, because this hotel was highly recommended by Expedia. Very bad experience!!!

Overall we had a very good time dispite having 1/2 of our stay rained out. Entertainment was very good most days.Lovely super friendly staff Domenica side appears more forthcoming in helpfullness why i dont know.The buffet is better than many 4.5 star resorts i stayed at (mostly in mexico). The only restaurant experience we enjoyed was the French restaurant. The Mediterranean and US were sub par you get much better food and choices at the buffet.

speciality restaurants

I have stayed in several all inclusive resorts and by far the food here was the best...the only complaint would be the fruit...it was never fresh or good... but everything else was always really GOOD! The restroom was small compared to every resort I have stayed at...but it was okay. I paid for "oceanview" and received a corner room which didnt really allow for "oceanview". I wish they were more generous with their complimentary items...for example I forgot q-tips...I asked the front desk for some...and they provided a tiny carton box with 1 q-tip in there...

This is a basic all-inclusive resort without the frills and more contemporary/modern looks and features of its neighboring family of resorts. However, it was charming and lovely place to vacation. Everyday at the pool and beach front was perfect.

Uncomfortable.

Check-in and out was great. The cleaning crew and some of the servers were great but, what turned me off the must was the fact that I went to two different restaurants on site and my husband and I was discriminated against on top of it, the sewer underneath the cinq smells bad and I went out one night and found a small lizzard in the room. The night before I a roach running around. Out of all the Iberostar I've been to by far this one was the worst. I'll not be returning back to this branch of Iberostar. It definitely needs to be updated.

We stayed for 8 days, we felt so happy, safe and relaxed. The food was okay, it used to be better. The menu at the restaurants are a bit limited. The drinks used to taste better and had a nicer presentation. The hotel is in need of some updates and I am glad it will be receiving a much needed renovation The best part of the hotel is their employees, all of them go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and happy. Nathaly who cleaned our room was amazing, she kept everything clean and neatly. Julio in one of the bars was great, Santa at the reception was friendly and solved my problem. The entertainment group was great! Everyone was amazing. The best about Dominican Republic is the people. The beach was beautiful and the hotel makes the best effort to keep it clean on the days that the seaweed was present. Overall I had great time! I cannot way to see the changes that are coming.

Friendly staff, cleaned rooms, very good food.

Keys had to be rekeyed because they would just stop working, even when I was very careful to not put them near my phone, the massage therapist was on her phone during my massage, they charged me for rooms I had canceled. Food was terrible. My cousin’s room flooded. The crooning fell in on the last day. Worst experience. Don’t go here

Perfect and beautiful resort!

Im general I liked the property. Neat, clean … Only problem I had was communicating with staff. Most of staff knows few words of English or none. It was hard ordering food and drinks but we made it work. Not a deal breaker for me. Would definitely come back. Most likely will.

Hotel is outdated, overpriced and the food is bad in all buffets and a la Carte restaurants allowed only a maximum of 3 reservations for a 7night stay. Would not recommend to anyone. Spend your money somewhere else.

La piscina tenia limo, los cuartos no muy limpios y viejos. La bañera resbala mucho y también los pisos alrededor de la piscina. Me caí en la piscina y en la bañera. La comida del buffet siempre era la misma. El servicio de piscina y comida acababa muy temprano.

If you like all inclusive, this is a great place. I just realized I am not into the all inclusive experience and because of that it takes away from being excellent for me. I liked the place itself and the staff but I didn’t enjoy the food as much.

The outside area was gorgeous. The room wasn’t as clean as it could’ve been when we first arrived.

The electricity keep going out in our room. we finally got moved on day 3 of the trip and didn’t have issues with electricity after that.

We had a great time at Iberostar, great vibes and of course, the people are the most friendly ones. Always an awesome experience in the DR.

Excellent resort: the beach, the food, the rooms and common grounds, shows, it was all good. One small minus is please tell the hosts, upon checking in and ever therafter not to bug people with marketing invitations to some vacation club.

Nice please for family vacation

Our stay couldn’t have been a better experience. The staff were very nice and made you feel comfortable. It’s hard to believe that this resort is considered the lowest quality of the 4 Iberostars on the property. It was beautifully manicured and clean. The only negative thing that I could say about the resort was that it was a little frustrating checking in on our arrival. It took much longer than expected but it all worked out. Overall I would highly recommend staying here.

I liked the staff, but food, drinks, pool and restaurants would improve.

They tried but it was subpar. It was adequate, but I wouldn't recommend it. The food at the buffet focuses on quantity and not quality. Good variety but a lot of the food sits there for too long becomes dry. The restaurants with reservations were not authentic, but a slightly better than the buffets. The building is old and not cleaned very well. The junior suite was spacious but the furniture was all old. The couch was so worn and a bit dirty that I didn't even want to sit on it. One of the legs on the bed was broken, but there were other supporting legs so it was fine. The bed and pillows were comfortable enough. Iberostar Punta Cana and Dominican share the same space and facilities.

Buffet hours from 6am breakfast and late dinner till 11pm. Besides variety of dinner reservations

The staff are welcoming, friendly, helpful & service is great. Fruits, vegetables, dairy, juices & salads in the buffet not kept cold.

They try to get you to buy into the time share and when you don’t you’re at the bottom of the barrel . Some of the workers go above and beyond and others couldn’t even crack a smile .

It was a very large property with limited shade and air conditioned areas. Extremely hot climate. Other than english speaking front desk staff, everyone offered poor service and was quite rude.

Rooms were cleaned nicely, overall environment was pleasant and employees were friendly and accommodating.

The place was nice. The only thing the hotel needs to work on is the air conditioning. I had to complain a few times as it was much lower than other rooms, and after the technician came the last time, i just gave up. Also, during the buffet, my sisters room was charged for a champagne bottle tjat we had during our dinner but the guy offering us the bottle didnt mention it was free or not... he jus offered, opened and poured... anyways... it was nice as i had a group of people with me. Beaches were good. The pool closing time is 7pm... which is too early, because thats the best time to swim when the sun isnt hot. Pool time, and air conditioning were my only top problems. Other than that, i would go back. Hopefully have a much different and better experience. Thank you.

Beautiful property but rooms need updating it looks a bit old and run down lots of food options but quality is OK very friendly staff and very accommodating will visit again

I loved the spa and the water pools at the spa, the golf course was in great shape as well. I wish this site had a swim up bar. I also think it would be even better if it had a jacuzzi near the pools as well.

This property is in line with what you pay. They are very reasonable priced and with that you get reasonable things. The buffet was great and they did a good job having variety. The restaurants on the other hand were nothing special, both my fiance and I agreed that the buffet was better than the two restaurants we tried. As far as the staff, they seem much more attentive to large groups and families. It was just my fiance and I and it was a struggle to get water and coffee quickly once seated. There is also a significant language barrier. I expected this to some extent but thought it may not have been as significant as it was. There were many times where the employee had no clue what we were asking for. If you need anything to your room like an extra blanket, pillows, etc... expect it to take some time. We made two calls and the first one was for a blanket and they brought us two pillows. That took 40 minutes and we didnt even get the right thing. Like I said in the beginning, I feel that based on the price we had the experience we paid for. It was not a bad experience at all. I would come back, just with different expectations in my mind. This resort does have the BEST stretch of beach in miles in each direction. This is a great spot for families that want to experience the ocean and all inclusive atmosphere and not break the bank.

Everything is pretty good, breakfast was great, staff is great, drinks are great. Things they need to work on...they need a dj playing popular music so people can chill out and dance from maybe 8 to 11pm. They also need to work on the dinner and lunch. Me and our family have been to other resorts in Punta Cana and the dinner and lunch were much better l.

Overall it's an excellent resort. Very friendly and polite staff. Drinks were very well made. Super clean beach and resort. Lots of activities for kids and adults. Few suggestions - Food was not that great ( Very bland). Very few vegeterian options.

Rooms need update but amenities and beach area were nice. Hotel keys didn’t work and had to be fixed daily.

This property is a 4 star so you get what you pay for. The first morning of our 4 day vacation was spent in a sales meeting/breakfast that was supposed to only be 90 minutes and took 3 hours. The hotel was clean but one of our pillows smelled so moldy it made the whole room stink. Only 1 pool side bar with no swim up bars. Long lines to get a drink. No pool side service.

The use of water stations instead of water bottles for the rooms and the Iberostar app were great changes. Requests made thru the app and front desk were responded to promptly. Most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Variety of food was good, but sometimes buffet food wasn’t hot. Fresh salad items were welcome. Coffee machines and coffee choices were also good. Activities were fun and staff were very outgoing. Teen club was appreciated to keep teens busy. A great experience overall.

The staff is amazing! Eveyone on staff goes out of their way to provide a wonderful environment for you to simply enjoy your vacation. The activities are varied and fun either to watch or participate. I would certainly return to this property.

I can honestly state the Overall Resort was neat, well managed and a pleasure to stay at. A solid 4.5 out of 5 Stars. Weather and sun everyday were perfect, such a fun experience.

We were disappointed that there was no coffee pot available in the room on our return from our trip the people who came to get us we’re not allowed in the rooms I paid for till we got back the they made me pay for one room saying I had only paid for one this was a complete lie not sure what to do never stay there again
