Great family friendly resort and great for kids
Terrific all inclusive / good for families
A great hotel with good sized rooms and excellent service. Staff is all super friendly and attentive. We went a bit before February break so capacity wasn’t at max - no wait times for any restaurant. We enjoyed the water park a lot - it’s great for older tweens and even teens and there is a toddler version as well next to it. A fun lazy river and about 5 slides. The main pool is big (not the nicest we’ve ever seen but good enough) and the beach is clean and expansive. The food is good (not amazing but pretty good for an all inclusive) and there are decent restaurant choices plus room service (also included). Nice touches like daily wine and cheese in your room, turndown and handy amenities in bathroom. We didn’t have any teens for “teen zone” but it seemed like a decent hangout for older kids. Finally, liked the island vacation feel but only 20 min for airport.
The hotel was top notch and if ur taking kids the kids club was great! My daughter loved playing with the kids and having movie night so we can get dinner at the restaurants on the adult side. The kids club is included in the price so we would just tip the girls who worked there. Not required. The vibe there was very Ritz Carlton!
Family trip to Ziva Cap Cana
Decent stay at Hyatt Ziva. Perfect for young kids with tons of activities. Wish the kids club had hours for families in evening. Wouldve liked healthier kids options during the day. Pringles and oreos and m&ms in room. Beach was soft sand, water warm and clean. My toddler daughter and I got sick, assuming from pool water as we spent lots of time around other kids who surely have accidents in the water. My husband and older daughter did not get sick and we all generally ate the same thing and stuck to bottled water entirely. Staff generally very friendly. Decent option for all inclusive with kids on beach with better food than most AI’s we have experienced (still not the best but cant compare to our baseline NYC restaurants). Would recommend if in need of an activity filled resort for young kids.
Terrible entertainment, and all American music instead of cultural music
From the moment My family and i arrived , we were treated with exceptional care and hospitality . The level of service provided by the staff was truly remarkable, I was especially impressed by the attentiveness and professionalism of our personal Butler. Every detail was handled with perfection, making out stay truly unforgettable.
It’s worth every penny
Enjoyed are one week stay at the hotel. Premises and ocean front room were awesome. Enjoyed all the restaurants. The staff members were friendly and helpful.
Food could have been a lot better for the $800 per night. Steak was low quality. Buffet didn’t have much options. Orange juices was not 100 percent. It was powder mix. Waffle was premade from the factory. Not freshly made on site. I could have pay $500 per night at any other resort and get the same quantity. The rooms is amazing tho
Nice location, pools and beach. Room and gym were nice. Entertaiment was good. Blind Butcher Restaurant was not worth the extra money. Most of the food was not good and the drinks were weak. Both my wife and I had diarrhea all week.
The best resort, the food is delicious, the people very kind,
Perfect resort.
This was our first stay here. It was amazing! The water park was a great break for our kids (12 and 8) we enjoyed it too. The hotel pool was great. Beach front was great. Room was great. Staff and food were amazing. We will be booking again for next year.
Excellent
Went on family trip we are so happy with stay staff very friendly we will definitely come back and highly recommending this property
Staff and service at the resort was fantastic. Keiber, Santo, Manuel, and many other staff were exceptional The property is beautiful as are the beaches and the food offerings over the top. The room well maintained and room service were fantastic
Amazing customer service and great food!
- Pool, waterpark, beach all walking distance - Awesome and helpful staff - No problems with dining, no need for reservations, didn’t have to wait long to get a table; food above average compared to other all-inclusives; alcohol very weak; enjoyed dinner at Brando’s; all restaurants mindful re: food allergies - Being cash for tips; staff deserve it - Say NO to timeshare presentation even if they give you a free cabana or 30-min massage - Email concierge in advance for food allergies so you don’t need to wait 10-15 mins in the lobby for them to enter that info in their system
Excellent everything!
The resort was beautiful, the staff was very friendly, the weather was perfect, and the amenities were plentiful with access to the pool, beach, water park, dining options, gym, and free professional photography with options to purchase a package or individual photos. We had a great experience and was a perfect trip to escape the winter storm back home.
We enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Ziva. The staff were all very attentive and kind. The water park was our family’s favorite feature and the food was good too. All in all, we recommend this resort.
N/A
Beautiful setting. Loved the beach, gym, and available activities! Rarely felt crowded despite being there during a busy season. Wish they could text me instead of using pagers with limited range when waiting for dinner. Also wish our party could have had access to the restaurants at Zilara (my 15 year old knows how to behave!). Overall great vacation!
very clean and convenient. family friendly
The hotel Is good but all the restaurants at the dinner we need stay in lines , long lines .
Highly recommend.
After experiencing Hyatt Ziva Cancun and comparing it to Hyatt Ziva punta Cana I would give this experience a F. The property itself is absolutely beautiful but the customer service and the safety of someone with food allergies really are awful. My parents that traveled with us had to switch rooms 3 times, my sister slipped from dirty floors at a restaurant and having a kiddo with a nut allergy it just was overall terrible.
Everything was amazing. I travelled with my family and we had a fantastic time. Food was lovely and unlike most all inclusive resorts, there were plenty of healthy options. We booked the club level and the alcohol that came with that category were top notch. For example grey goose vodka or don julio tequila. There was an abundance of towel, snack water, etc. special thanks to our butler Christopher for making our reservations and greeting us with a smile every day. There were two housekeeping a day and also the gym was superb.
Good experience
It was nice
Cleanliness
Amazing experience 😄
1. Intentionally was checked in the room with no ocean, no view. But reception insisted that is how they interpret the "room with the ocean view". After my insistence, was finally moved to a room with ocean view. The one I originally paid extra for. 2. TV in the room not working. 3. Balcony door won't lock. 4. Food is far bellow expectations. 4. "Full bar" in the room has four cans of beer, coke, juice. Not my interpretation of a bar. 5. The transportation, ordered thru Expedia, screwed up pick up time for my arrival to and departure from Punta Cana. Although, both times, the name of the airline and flight number have been provided. 6. And promissed bottle of wine was never delivered to me. Cancun has much better all-inclusive, and for the less money.
Loved it and i will be back with my kids
Wonderful Stay and Experience
It was one of the best hotel / resort experiences we had as a family. Truly exceptional. Entire hotel staff was very courteous and ensured a great experience. Would love to revisit in future.
My stay at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana was outstanding. The staff provided exceptional service, the property was immaculate, and the amenities were top-notch. Every detail was perfect making my stay a true 5-star experience.
Everything was good!
Not great.
Our check in was horrendous when we were told we had to downgrade our room. We were given a cabana to use as a gesture. The staff throughout the hotel was discourteous and rude. Often speaking rudely to me and my family when asking for basic things. We paid for club access and on the first day the security attempted to throw my father in law out of the club area instead of simply asking his room number. If this is an issue wrist bands should be used. The staff here needs to be trained in hospitality. Fortunately thanks to yefri at the pool concierge we had a good time for the remainder of our short stay. Unfortunately still won’t be returning.
My family was very happy with the polls, the kids club, the water park, and beaches. Everything was cleaner than other resorts we’ve been in the past.
Nice hotel with outstanding service but…
Review of Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana My recent stay at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana was a delightful experience overall, with a few areas for improvement. The absolute highlight of my visit was dining at Rue de Rivoli, the French restaurant located at Hyatt Zilara. The food was exceptional, and the service provided by our waiter, Danieri, was second to none. His professionalism and attention to detail elevated an already amazing meal. It was truly the best dining experience of our trip. On the other hand, my experience at Navigator, another restaurant on the property, was underwhelming. I tried the Boca Chica dish, and unfortunately, it didn’t deliver the vibrant Dominican flavors I was hoping for. While I understand the restaurant has a different concept, a stronger infusion of local flavors would enhance the menu. In terms of activities, the resort could benefit from more entertainment options for adults to keep the evenings lively. Despite this, the overall service at the hotel was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff always ready to assist. Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is a beautiful resort with great potential, offering outstanding dining and fantastic service. With a few enhancements in culinary variety and entertainment, it could be a truly unbeatable destination.
Room service is the only downside.
We enjoyed our stay as a family of nine the staff was the best part of the resort all of the amenities are new and updated my only complaint would be a lack of culture there was no indication anywhere in the resort that I was in the Dominican Republic I would have liked to hear more cultural music or more Experiences with native foods and just a better representation of the Dominican culture.
Wonderful!
Excellent
Excellent
Was a good property. We wanted to try something different for once. But not good value for money compared to Dreams Dominicus or Casa De Campo. Will not be back
The best resort we have stayed in the past 10 years.
Great time at Hyatt Ziva! We went in early November with our five and seven year old daughters and loved the resort. Tons for the kids to do between the beach, pools, hot tub, water park, kids club and kids club events. Our kids loved the night shows - the Disney themed event, karaoke, magician, acrobatic show - all really great. Fantastic service - every single staff member has a amole and is engaging and trying to make sure you have the best time ever. It rained one day and we still felt we had plenty to do. It was also really nice to be next to the adults only resort, when we did choose to utilize the kids club, because we were able to get in a few extra restaurants. Highly recommend!
This was a perfect family vacation. We are a family of 4- me, my husband and our 11 yo and 8 yo sons. The boys loved the water park and ice cream truck, my husband and I loved the numerous food options, the excellent entertainment, the beaches and the superior service. EVERYONE on staff is friendly and accommodating. We stayed the week before Thanksgiving and the weather was just right for a beach vacation. I have nothing bad to say about this resort!
Great place to stay lived the swim up room
Food generally was good however buffet dinner was not
Hands down the best management of all the Hyatt’s I’ve stayed at. Beautiful rooms, receptive to any issues, correcting them right away and a room upgrade same day. The property is very modern and nice looking, tastefully designed
We just got back from the Hyatt Ziva and had an amazing trip! The beach was calm and beautiful. Our butler Elvis was very attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. All of the staff at the resort were very friendly and the service was excellent! We ate breakfast every morning at the Chinola and were greeted by Grey with her wonderful smile and great service. We will definitely be going back!
The Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana has to be one of the nicest resorts we have stayed at as a family. There is a lot to do for all ages. We don’t have younger kids but the staff has planned events that are perfect for younger kids. The resort, rooms, pools, beach, restaurants are all beautiful. There is so much space on the beach. The ocean was green but not clear to the bottom. If you are over 5’ tall you are able to walk out really far. Large pool with pool bar so you never feel crowded. Great water park for the kids although there is no bar area at the water park. I could go on and on about this resort. Overall great experience that I would recommend to anyone and definitely coming back. Great job Hyatt.
The resort is well maintained. There are many daily activities for the kids to enjoy. The service goes above and beyond to ensure you're taken care of. Overall a very good value. Highly recommend for families with kids.
Property is beautiful as well as pools and beaches. More staff needed to serve drinks. Lost power multiple times in room due to issue with electrical panel. Had a non working phone.
Excellent
Cada centavo tiene su valor con un servicio y personas exepsionales
El staff del hotel es extraordinario, me sentí súper. El hotel extremadamente limpio, la comida muy buena y mucha variedad, la verdad es que volvería a ir.
Everything was great. No complaints. Great staff. Great facility. Great amenities. All around great experience for me & my children (age 11, 9, & 6).
Excellent customer service. The staff was always eager help. And went above and beyond to make sure we had what we wanted or needed. Love the spa
Service
We had a great time during our visit. The food at the tempest was our favourite. The beaches were beautiful, waterpark was fun and workers were always very happy. Elvin was a great activity organizer and always greated us with so much energy! We had Melvin as a waiter at the buffet and he was very helpful! All in all, we would come back.
Didnt like the food
It was nice. Great service and upgrade was nice. The food is not great.
Absolutely loved our stay. Staff assigned to our room Christopher was amazing. Kids enjoyed water slides, pool, beach, restaurants. Service was great. Blind butcher - was the icing on top. We will return!
Best Hotel Ever. We are planning going back real soon.
Todo muy lindo limpio y la comida excelente
We loved the property. Our son enjoyed the water park. Osiris service and attention to detail was very significant for our stay. We’ll definitely come back
This hotel is really the very best we have visited in Punta Cana and around the world. There is really nothing negative to say about it. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. Shout out to Amado, Freddy and Maximo in the pool area. They were all on top of their game and extremely professional and helpful. The hotel was not cheap but it was worth every penny. Keep up the good work!
The resort is great! The customer service is top notch and food was delicious. I highly recommend it. If I could just suggest one thing it would be to have more activities for the night after the pool is closed.
The resort was very nice, and didn’t seem over-sized like some hotel properties where it is impossible to see everything, making it an ideal destination for families with kids or aging parents. The staff is amazing and very friendly. They are all very helpful and pleasant. They will try to upsell you at check in, if you’re not careful. The staff at the watersports area were hilarious and it was easy to borrow equipment to take out. The food was hit or miss some nights, you could tell that some desserts were mass produced, but anything that you saw people actually cooking or making was delicious.
Overall very nice. only thing I didn't love was, in the case of the Super Mercado buffet style, It is worth considering letting the tourists help themselves, as in most 5 star hotels. Feels a little uncomfortable having to ask somebody to serve you for every little piece of food.
Highly recommended
The Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana was a perfect vacation for our family. There were always things to do, food options were great and tons of options. The size of the gym was very impressive and so was the beach. We felt VERY safe during our time and never worried about letting our 11 and 13 year old go do their own thing.
The grounds were beautiful and staff was friendly and helpful.
The resort was very busy but we never had a problem finding chairs by the pools. The breakfast buffet and the Mongolian BBQ were the best food options by far.
I am rating the hotel and the staff 5/5. Although we have a poor check-in experience, overall this hotel is beautiful and probably the best we've been in Punta Cana. Sharing my experience w/ the problem I had w/ my booking w/ Expedia and how the hotel handled it. Booking details included Junior Suite Swim up-King, balcony/patio with Ocean view, Club level-club lounge access, among others. A few days before, I messaged the hotel to confirm my booking and its details. I was told that my booking doesn’t include an ocean view and the club level. Those 2 are upgrades and was asked if I wanted to avail myself, of course, with an extra charge. I had an Expedia agent confirm my booking details & inclusions (which of course, included those 2 upgrades, I paid for them during booking) and told the agent to e-mail the hotel reservations directly so communication must be between them. In other words, my booking and its details from Expedia were not honored by the hotel and as expected, we had a hard time checking in which took almost 2 hrs. It was too much hassle and ruined our vacation mood from the beginning. Both parties, Expedia and the hotel were blaming each other and no one ever admitted who was at fault. I was given false booking upgrade details by Expedia, and the hotel was also firm by saying it wasn’t the hotel room class that was booked. Ending: we were given a regular Junior Suite-Swim up king, NO VIEW, and the Club level access was given as a“complementary”
Una limpieza impecable, servicio al cliente excelente
Everything was amazing, the food, the room, the staff in general. I give 10/10. I’ll definitely come back. It was a wonderful family trip. Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana the best.
Amazing stay, we spent 13 days this summer and everything was perfect. A big thank you to Elvin, Clebert, Emanuel, Ernesto ! The only advice I would share with the property was to proactively propose a late check out for people like us with very long flights and a little one with us, especially for customers staying for a long period, would of be great meeting maybe a manager (something pretty usual for long stay customers in 5*)
Very safe
Loved our stay, definitely coming back to this resort.
Spectacular
Excellence everywhere
The food was cold all the time
Excellent vacation spot
Best place always
Very fun resort for kids, especially the water park.
The entire staff members were so attentive to our every need. The food was delicious, all areas & rooms super clean & beautifully decorated. We were a party of 5 and were ALL sad to leave this morning. We definitely recommend this hotel. Our 9 yr old granddaugther had so many activities organized by the Kids club- she enjoyed herself so much we will definitely return & highly recommend the Hyatt Ziva to all. Hasta luego Punta Cana.
Ford options were great, room cleaning is bad timing especially with family with little children
Property was beautiful and staff were excellent.
The Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve ever been to with the most kind, considerate, and genuinely caring staff. There were ao many activities for a family to do! We loved the resort, restaurants, pool, the waterpark, and the ocean was pristine and perfect. Our kids loved the kids club and kids activities! We will be back again!
Food was nothing special. Buffet was very limited. Desserts tasted old. No access to spa if you don’t pay for expensive massage service. Pools good. Beach also good. Will choose a different hotel next time.
I liked the quiet seclusion. The food was good for an all-inclusive (especially at The Tempest Table). Pools and beach were nice and staff was friendly.
Beautiful setting, amazing hotel and staff. Thank you!
A perfect getaway
Amazing place to vacation. No complaints at all. 100 percent recommended
El Mercado Breakfast, lunch and dinner are very good at this restaurant. They offer a lot of varieties for everyone at Mexican, Vegan, Eggs Stations, Salads, Shakes, natural juices, fruits, yogurts, Crepes,Pattisseries, Nice food well seasoned and a vast variety of choices for the meat, seafood and veggie lovers, Gaspacho was very tasty, but should be hotter and the only thing we hated was the strawberry icecream. It tasted like medicine. Atmosphere is cozy and service was very attentive. The italian restaurant Threads and Noodles was very well decorated. We tried the caesar salad which was delicious. Also, the broussel sprout salad was not for my liking because I preferred them roasted. The pumpkin and Gorgonzola soup was well seasoned and delicious. The pizza was awesome and the ribs excel expectations. Our best choice was the Mongol menu at Tempest. It was awesome. You can create your dinner with choices such as beef, chicken, duck, pork, shrimp, mussels, fish, scallops and an assortment of vegetables with three kinds of noodles to choose from, white rice or fried rice and your choice of Teppanyaki, oyster or sweet and sour sauce. A most go. For lunch every day from 12-2 there is BBQ at the main pool and the Navigator with a good skirt steak and fettuccini with alfredo pasta. And if your lucky, you will get your own coconut with water. Some nights they do Havana nights, Tex Mex or something special. Kidz club was very good my kid enjoy it. The best waterpark
Food was just ok. Had to call to have our room cleaned. Some employees not friendly.
It is our first visit to the Ziva Cap Cana. The quality of the food and drinks is impressive, variety of dishes every day, I recommend the a la carte restaurant, excellent shows every night for children and adults, the employees work hard to make you feel like at home.Darlin, Yazmin, Pedro Hdz, Maximo, Rafael. We'll be back soon.

We just returned from a 5 day trip (two adults, two kids). Good spot for a getaway, pool and beach were very nice and food and drinks were very accessible. Food was above average for an all-inclusive type place. Very key that the couch beds are not cheap springs but rather foam so they happen to be quite comfortable. We did the Blind Butcher experience one night, was worth the experience, lots of food. One downside was the "reserve a chair by the pool" race.. full on here so if you wanted a spot for the first half of the day, you needed to be up very early to do so. That was somewhat annoying but we did beach first most days. Would definitely go again and recommend if looking for an easy pool/beach all inclusive vacation.
