I did not like the inconvenience of the emergency evacuation, which luckly turned out to be a false alarm. I was at the 15th floor, my husband is 80 yrs and with bad knees we started going down by the stairways. Was not fun.
Perfect location for the purpose of our trip. Easy access to public transport and shopping. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Loved it. The sculpture in the lobby is amazing! Feels like u r living in a museum :)
Awesome location, very clean hotel. Only spot I’ll stay when visiting the city
Convenient with all the Comforts
Very good amenities--frig, water filling stations, microwave ovens in lobby plus large fitness gym. Safe location/area with supervised/ secure hotel access. Spacious, modern, and comfortable rooms. Food options and BART within close walking distance also.
Ambiance was beautiful
Great check in experience. Easy self parking option. Location was great for our visit.
Nice freshly remodeled rooms
Decided to do a staycation with my wife overnight for our anniversary, after lot of research I chose the Hyatt @ embarcadero. Showed up to check in @345pm as the building was getting evacuated, fire trucks and police telling everyone to get out, not too many people, not chaos, but hotel staff were not organized or exceptionally trained. The valet team didn't know what was going on and on 2 occasions let people back into the building, the front desk didn't know what the issue was, or if they did they werent telling us, they were telling us to go back out while the valets and greeters are saying that we are good to go. The staff kept their cool for the most part and were respectful, but more coordination training would be better in a situation of a real emergency, the only thing that happened was a water leak of some sort happened in and around the elevators, and someone got injured. Long story, water was dripping all around the area in front of the elevators and by 430pm we were allowed back in, checked in and waiting for an elevator to our 14th floor room. Hotel was freshly remodeled and clean, the balcony king bay view room was simply and classy designed in a blue color palette, the room and bathroom were clean. The service was fine the rest of the evening into the next morning. Only gripe I had, was that we were never offered any comp for the inconvenience, we ended having to postpone our reservation to a nice restaurant by 30min luckily it's not busy season in SF.
No problems with the stay.
The Bay
Great location, hotel had good food and drinks! Room was very clean, towels top notch and sheets soft and smelling clean!
A very nice and clean , staff personal wanting to help you for anything you ask for , Beautiful interior and very clean, room s as well clean with beautiful views
Beautiful building inside and out.
Clean & Location
Bed was very Lumpy needs to be turned or something other than that great stay.
Good place to stay for work. :)
Enjoyable and Relaxing Stay
Intelligent angled room layout/design to minimize atrium lobby noise, spaciousness, comfortable beds, and water refill stations per floor. Would appreciate outlet access near the sofa seating though. Best to self-park overnight at Embarcadero 4 public garage overnight as well for more reasonable rate.
Nice location, small but comfortable room.
Great property, but we caught it when 2 of 5 elevators were out of service.
Best hotel in SF
This was a great hotel to Stay in for New Year’s Eve.
There was not a lot of restaurants or shopping walkable to hotel, was a very nice place to stay friendly helpful staff
Very nice
Very expensive
So many fees and parking $91. One night costs $429 when it’s all said and done.
It was a great property to stay at to walk towards the ferry building and take trolley to pier 39! Valet was convenient. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and service was good.
The location, the cleanliness, the lobby, the room the view
I appreciate the option to get housekeeping only when needed and LOVE the amenities that are vegan and waste-reducing!
We have issues with the restaurant
The building is an art piece . Love the location and the concierge was helpful .
Stuff are very friendly. Good location, room is roomy.
Great stay besides having to wait so long for elevators since several were not working. Had to take stairs from 7th floor due to the waiting and then had to wait for at least 25 mins to get back to room on elevator.
Breakfast and dinner is overcrowded, The foods are not enough for all the guests and the some are standing just to eat. The kind of breakfast is so ordinary too like in a 2 star hotels. Not worth it for the food. Just the location is super during new years.
Porter misplaced my luggage. Elevators were not working.
.
Elevators are extremely slow to accommodate the many guests that were checking in on New Year’s Eve!!!
Great hotel
Huge room, looks modern, decent lighting for a hotel room. Slow bag service but was very busy so might be a one off experience.
The staff at the front desk could have been nicer
Incredible stay, very close to everything you’d want to see in the city. Has amazing rooms and even better staff.
Excellent hotel
Loved our stay, better part of town. Thanks!
Great hotel, close to good restaurants and nearby things to do! Very nice rooms.
Great location, just across from the Ferry Terminal. The interior of the hotel is just stunning - very cool. Great comfortable room and just what we needed. Gym was 24 hours and fully stocked. Hotel service was great - everyone was so helpful and friendly. Just to note - valet parking is $91 a day so we just self parked at the lot across the street (you can't miss it) for around $35 per day. You can drive up to hotel, have the Bellhop send up your luggage and then go park and walk back to hotel (and do the same when you check out - have them bring down your luggage after going to pick up your car) This was one thing we were stressed about since we were driving (not from SF) and it worked out perfectly! I would definitely stay here again when I'm back in SF
The heating is not up to standard. The old building has poor insulation. The room did not warm up enough in my three days staying
stay for wedding not at hotel much
Great location, great social space!
We love visiting the Embarcadero Hyatt. It has a wonderful gathering place so our group can relax and spend time talking and playing games in the evenings. The wonderful Ferry Plaza Marketplace is right across the street with a delicious variety of food. A public transportation hub is conveniently located just a few blocks away. The rooms are comfortable. Love this place for all our San Francisco getaways!
Friendly and professional
The place is clean and grand, but it is totally business like and feels cold and not welcoming. Upon checkin, the front desk upselled us a room with a "balcony". It does have a balcany, but it costed us $40 extra each night and there is really nothing special about the balcany. You can walk to the ice machine and have a much better view of the pier. On Christmas day, the hotel's kitechen offers little choice for food. It was super expensive as well. The hotel does not even have a snack machine. They just want you to pay them triple price of anything they sell you at their own "market". The bed is so squishy that even a person weighing 100 pounds would sink into the bed.
Very nice
Excellent with one drawback
Everyone who works there is welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. The big negative is the daily “resort fee” that was around $50. The opportunity to redeem was very limited as it could. or be used in the small store. The restaurant was not open until the evening.
This was my favorite hotel in the financial district. I’ve stayed there a few times. However, this time checking in they told me they had some room upgrades for high floors with views - for an extra $40/night. It costs you nothing to upgrade someone and have a happy customer if you have an empty room. It was a big turnoff for me.
Holiday weekend
Holiday weekend trip with my girls . We upgraded to the regency club which was well worth the money . Checking out was a bit chaotic with valet service but our car came fast . Also the front desk person when I called down because valet would not answer was a bit frazzled and not very pleasant . Other than that loved it there
Another great stay!
Amazing experience , close to restaurants and other activities
Very nice hotel located next to everything
Was very nice to stay , the only thing was the pillows too soft. usually in other hotels they have soft and firm.
Easy to park and walkable
Interesting architecture and nearby the Embarcadero. Walkable to interesting activities.
Financially not worth it. Breakfast charges are ridiculously expensive, additional fees are exorbitant. Please let people know ahead of time that these charges will be added to their bills, not included in the room prices online.
good place
Absolutely stunningly beautiful Hotel.
Everything was great
Not family friendly.
Besides the alarm going off in the morning, having air vent fall it was ok. I would still go back because of the staff and staff only. They made us feel like family.
Had a wonderful stay
Perfect
Fire alarm went off at 7am Sunday morning
They claim to have a restaurant on site, they do not. It’s a small grab and go with very few choices. They don’t give you complimentary water in you room. There is no room service or in room dinning. They claim the grab and go is their in room dinning. Staff was not very friendly at the front desk. Cleaning staff and valet were nice and helpful. There are good restaurants surrounding the hotel and at the ferry building.
Very convenient
Hyatt Regency in Embarcadero is quality option for business travelers and families alike. We stayed in a King Room with a wonderful view of the Ferry Building and Bay Bridge. The room itself was spacious and well kept. An empty fridge and absence of any room snacks was a very minor downside, but the on-site convenience store made up for this. We would happily return - it is worth noting the surrounding area is particularly quiet on weekends (barring the Ferry Building) due its location in the Financial District.
Excellent hotel!
This was easily one of the top hotels we've stayed in with excellent service and amenities for casual and business travelers. The interior is visually stunning and the location allows for a short walk to the waterfront or an easy cab or ride service to other locations of interest.
Escalator Views Awe
It’s a beautiful Hotel and very quiet with a wonderful bar and breakfast. Views are amazing and close to everything. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable it’s nice to feel pampered.
Very clean. Convenient location.
Bathroom door slides, which is nice and modern but there was a large see through gap. Bathroom needs vents. Overall, room is nice and the hotel in a great location.
Great architecture hotel
I needed to check in at 1 pm and they have no problem with that
Great location and price
Nice hotel
Perfect
Hotel was huge but well organized and walking distance to pier 3 and other surrounding areas. Has a bus station right outside of the hotel, Valley parking option for $85 a night or self parking. Hotel has a nice bar with TV’s and restaurant and a marketplace restaurant where you can buy coffee and snacks and sandwiches and salads. Price for Saturday night was such a fair price that I couldn’t believe that hotel was so nice and in such a great location when I got there. Highly recommended
Embarcadero waterfront area is great lots of restaurants. Cable car just out front. Rooms are pricey. Bed was HORRIBLE. Saggy and worn out. Management was less than helpful and failed to do what they promised. We’re in the SF Bay Area frequently, but we won’t be going back the Hyatt.
I wish they had a good coffee shop instead of a machine
Thank you everything was great!
Great place
Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff.
It was amazing
Wonderful place
Good hotel. Great location.
Location worked well for our trip. Lack of an in-hotel full restaurant was inconvenient, but other options in the area. Room was very nice and comfortable.
Good
It’s was a great experience
During the heatwave, the Hyatt was the BEST place I stayed at to get away from the heat. My home in San Francisco has no air conditioning, so when there is consecutive days of high 80s to 90 degrees of heat, I need to seek shelter.
Great views. and everything is walking distance! The restaurant on the top floor is amazing...but not for the people who suffer from motion sickness...it spins, so the view is always changing! Rooms are spacious, but the A/C is kinda loud.
Would stay here again. Very clean and elegant.
This was an amazing stay for my birthday. I will be coming back again.
Lots of amenities upon request. The hotel is spacious and quiet and relaxing. Close distance to a lot of things, so very walkable.
I live in San Francisco, but booked the room to escape the heat, since my place doesn’t have air conditioning. The A/C was quiet, so slept like a baby while it was on… ❤️
Got a room with a balcony. View was off to the side. I’d get the ferry view if I booked again. Nice to be near the water. Rooms were nice but dated. Nice fridge etc but the furniture was very minimalist.
The club lounge food used to be amazing but was terrible. Staff unfriendly and rude
Love it!
Excellent
The decor was nice, rooms were up to date, staff was friendly, centric location
