Hyatt has possibly the best location in Nice. Spacious rooms by any standard. Pro-tip: rent one of the e-bikes in the lobby and ride it up and down the Promenade’s bike path. Recommended experience.

A very nice property

Beautiful hotel. large rooms, indoor/outdoor pool, easy use of valet, excellent service and prime location on water and right near old town.

Great location and good sized rooms. The pool is on the small side but was not very busy in May so that was nice. All of the staff was great. Would recommend to others!

Good location

Hotel was great and had excellent bi-lingual staff. The location to restaurants and activities was excellent. The staff were very professional and helpful. We were not familiar with the electrical set up in the room and would have benefited from written signage or explanation.

Perfect Nice Hotel

The location of the hotel is first class and the welcome from David on the front desk was exceptional. We arrived very early but our room was made available to us and David took us to our room and went through everything and shown us an upgraded room, which we chose (One point to Hotels.com as a Platinum member you do state we should be eligible to an upgrade if available, in all my years as a member I have never had an upgrade) The service in the hotel was exceptional but a special thank you to Enorah, nothing was to much trouble and she always had a smile on her face. The hotel location is perfect, on the sea front and within 2 very short walking distance of many restaurants and shops. would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nice.

Perfect location to explore Nice - iconic hotel, great service and easy walk to old town. Plenty of bars and restaurants around the hotel and a 15 min walk to the station for the train to Monaco, Beaulieu, Cannes and a load of other brilliant places

Outdated property

Great property staff was outstanding. Could not have had a better time at this property. The accommodations were fantastic.

Great hotel with comfortable room - I believe every room has balconies which is nice. Pool is not that big but enough to play around - also indoor outdoor combines is a nice design. Staff was all excellent - would definitely recommend

The restaurant was absolutely amazing, we had breakfast there every morning and the best dinner in all of Nice. Very nice rooms and lovely balcony with a partial sea view. Not 5-stars. Way overpriced. Service and staff were great but hotel was dusty, not terribly clean and rooms need to be updated. Whole places needs to be modernized. It was also noisy. Good location and convenient to shops though.

Paid 1100 a night for partial seaview deluxe room I had a view of Pilar’s and the pool,carpets in room and hallway had a smelly odor,service by the Restuarant was absolute terrible had to get up 5 time to get a menu then get up to go order then get up again to add drinks etc,location is great other than that not worth the money not 5star standers at all much nicer hotel with in walking distance and half the price and great views

We got email that restaurants would be closed for the day we arrived except breakfast . They had an event Booking Towels are worn out , bathrobes are worn out and the rooms are dated .the hotel needs an update The carpet in hallway faded Location is great and so was the staff

This property was lovely. It was convenient, clean, great food options (especially for someone with dietary restrictions). It was great for tourists, across from the beach. I think it would be a good idea for everyone. We will definitely be back.

Very nice location and hotel but breakfast room need major improvement

Wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency. We were in town for the half marathon and this ended up being right near to the race start. We were also allowed a late check out, so we could shower and change after the race. The swimming pool was a real bonus.

Rooms are dated and if you don’t have an ocean view room it seems very claustrophobic at first and you may or may not get adjusted. Standing shower is tiny and bathrooms are dated. Overall very dark room we had requested ocean view but couldn’t get it.

Great location in the middle of everything

This is just the loveliest hotel in all of Nice. My wife and I enjoyed our time here immensely. Very easy to get to Monaco, as and Cannes. The entire walkway and waterway of Nice is accessible so easily from the front of this hotel. The service is second to none. And our concierge, Antonio, Was a perfect guide to the city all week.

Amazing breakfast buffet! The best!!

High on our list is the pool- open all year, and until 9:30 p.m.- large and indoor/outdoor, with a view of the Med. Staff continue to be excellent. Superb 'upcycling' of this historic site- with the iconic Art Deco frontage onto the Promenade des Anglais and beach; good size rooms; great breakfast choice; well maintained and tuned grand piano- all combine for a relaxing and comfortable experence. Again- Happy guests- Well Done!

Nice staff!

This property is beautiful & is the perfect location! It is right across the main boardwalk - Palais des Anglais. It’s located close to numerous restaurants & plage beach clubs. It’s also 1 block from the pedestrian walk way & really close to Place Messena.

Outstanding experience

The staff were incredible! Nicholas and the front desk staff were great! Very pleased. There was a problem, customer in the lobby who was yelling and shouting. They were able to address his concerns. My bathroom was not cleaned though when I arrived. I did report it to staff.

This was our 1st trip to Nice for a period of 4 days over the Christmas holiday and my family loved this hotel so much that my daughter wanted to write this review, which is enclosed below. "We loved it because it was very beautiful with all of the Christmas lights and the lovely beach only a few steps away. Electric scooters were rentable for a fun, convenient stroll. The front desk gave us ornaments to welcome us on our first day which was Christmas. In fact, we were upgraded to a Penthouse suite which was by far the nicest room we have ever stayed in. There was a real Christmas tree with ornaments and a gift; the tree smelled amazing, giving our room a holiday spirit. The bathtub was cavernous, enough to fit 3 people; it was so relaxing and there was no noise at night which made this very peaceful. I loved the unique pool and how you could swim both inside and outside so it wouldn't be cold for you. The property was dated but elegant and neat. The buffet breakfast had made to order omelettes, authentic pastries and breads, and a large spread of fruits and other dishes. The concierge was very helpful, helping guide us including some cool experiences and tours. This was our favorite place that we traveled to and the top 1 or 2 hotels we have stayed at in our lifetime! Our hearts miss the kind staff, chefs, room, and the unique smell of the lobby; it will be a memory to treasure for many years to come. Thank you to the wonderful staff for the unforgettable stay!

The staff was awesome: attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. Everyone truly made you fee like they were pleased you were there. Most of them remembered and called you by name. The hotel lcoation was right in the center of the action in Nice and convenient to public transportation. Lots of dining options.

Five star luxury and service

Fantastic hotel and location, understated luxury, service and staff friendly and helpful without exception. Loved our stay and hope we can return one day.

Great location and amazing staff. Concierges knew everything about the options for food, sightseeing, etc. The rooms are clean and have nice views of the water. The pool is nice and the steam and sauna are terrific. They do need to improve on the food. Room service was spot on.

Front desk staff very attentive, even weighed our luggage to ensure our shopping didn’t put us over the acceptable limit. Housekeeping did a fantastic job of daily cleaning.

Very well located, and the staff were extremely nice and friendly. However, overall, the hotel itself was very average and basic. The hotel is dated and old. This is not the place to be in Nice (despite the other reviews) and definitely not worth the price we paid per night.

The Hyatt Regency in Nice was truly the best hotel and so glad It was recommended to me. Loved that it was in the middle of all of the action and on the Promenade. The concierges were so helpful when booking tours. Enjoyed the pool. Great housekeeping service. Comfy beds. Food great. Very friendly staff. Our patio/terrace faced the pool, the entertainment and you could see the beach area and promenade. Will stay here again when returning to Nice!

A memorable vacation site.

It was a beautiful hotel with a spacious and comfortable room. However, the hotel really missed a trick when they decided to put shutters in front of the balcony doors rather than having standard curtains inside – and the balcony door could not be closed from outside either. We had booked with a balcony due to me being an early riser and my husband not so much but due to the above, I wasn’t able to use it at all while he slept. I found this to be a really, really bad mistake from whoever designed these. Staff by the pool were always good to come and take your drink order when you first got there, but anything after the first one, we had to seek them out ourselves every time.

This trip we were only there for one night, but on our next trip to Nice, we'll certainly return. It was walkable to everything, good restaurants all around, and the staff was gracious and helpful. We gave it an A .

The hotel staff was among the best we have encountered. That said, the premises are impeccable. We wish to mention Antonio, the concierge, for his outstanding service and professionalism. Lena at the reception desk was also excellent to us during our stay.

This is first rate luxury hotel right across from the beach in Nice. The rooms are extremely comfortable with every possible amenity. The service from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave is of the highest caliber. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

No sea view - terribly rude staff

I travel quite a bit for work and spend about 40 days a year in hotels rooms. I have never had such terrible and dismissive service in a hotel or even a hostel (and yes I have stayed in many hotels across France). I may never book another Hyatt. 1. My airline misplaced my luggage and was going to deliver to the hotel later that evening (I arrived to the hotel around 3pm). I was told to follow up with the concierge. The concierge never bothered to call or let me know it had arrived later that evening (I did call down a couple of times to check). I "found" it the next day along with luggage for some other poor victims of this hotel. Unacceptable level of service for a hotel of this price/category. 2. Hotels.com noted I was paying extra for a "sea view" which was not true. My view was completely 'obstructed'. I was located on the 8th floor and my view was of the noisy pool/terrace and concrete beam. The sea was not visible. 3. I asked for a late checkout as I needed to take a work call and was refused in almost an abusive manner. The horrible rudeness of the hotel staff was not acceptable, the seemed to enjoy treating me like I was garbage and refusing my request. In the end the rudeness was without reason --- as the lovely cleaning staff told me "no worries" I was able to stay the extra hour, take my call, and left at 1pm without issue.

Great location. Unkept property. Dirty.. need deep cleaning. Towels overused . Curtains and rooms smells of cigarette. Not clean at all. Regretted staying here.

A beautiful property in the heart of Nice. It’s the most modern of the grand hotels with easy access to shopping restaurants and the sea front - very friendly staff from the front desk to concierge to room service to housekeeping - excellent food - you will love it !

We loved the building and the renovation/restoration work. However there were two small issues, the tea and coffee facilities were mean, no milk, limited choice of drinks (often not replacing what we had used) and erratic times of when the room was serviced.
