We had a very nice time at the hotel. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was very good as well.
Amazing place!
The staff knew we had a late flight but didn’t inform us how late we could check out without additional charges. We saw a lot of other guests checking out later.
Had a wonderful time at Hyatt, Kathmandu. The property was large and green and had amazing food
Paint flaking off all the walls. Room smelled of black mold. There were pigeon feathers on the floor in our room upon arrival, which was quite unexpected. The bed seemed like it was going to fall apart. We opened the curtains to see the “view” and the windows were covered in bird poop. The rugs in the room were quite dirty. The shower handle is situated in such a way that it sprays you with cold water just to turn the water on. We paid an up charge for the “club level” upon which we entered for “happy hour” hoping for something equivalent to the Kathmandu Marriott, where we previously stayed. it was more “sad hour” than happy hour. The white wine served tasted of vinegar. The food spread was worse than a cheap airport lounge. We decided to dine in the restaurant, and upon ordering a bottle of chardonnay and testing a small sip, it also tasted of vinegar. They sent several people to apologize and make us feel awkward, but did not offer to change the bottle of wine. The morning of check-out we went to the breakfast buffet, which again paled in comparison to the Kathmandu Marriott. The dining room was extremely loud and had the vibe of a high school cafeteria. My dining guest found hair in his food. The restaurant manager tried to convince us there was no hair and then we showed them a photo. Upon leaving the restaurant we were nearly accosted by 6 restaurant staff asking us awkward questions. Upon checking out of the hotel we were interrogated by several managers awkwardly.
The staff here at the Hyatt is absolutely amazing.
Excellent staff and great property
Quiet and efficient
Love love love it, will definitely stay again.
The only complaint is that a restaurant in NEPAL did not have MOMOs. They had an Asian themed restaurant, but it did NOT have MOMOs--how is that even possible? Please have made (not frozen, but made) Momos.
amazing front staff and restaurant staff
A truly luxurious hotel set in Kathmandu. Convenient to attractions and airport. Clean and well maintained.
This was a beautiful hotel, food was great, drinks were great, staff were so pleasant and prompt. Highly recommend and I would definitely stay at this property again.
A sanctuary for travelers. Lovely ambience and excellent staff. Great food options.
Kathmandu's best
The staff, our room and all facilities were top notch. Restaurants offered excellent cuisine. Next time we are in Kathmandu this Hotel will be the only place we stay
Great. Thanks
Great team. Better hotels available.
Great team and especially the manager but overall the condition of the place has deteriorated. Better 5 star hotels. Even the newer Hyatt place. Don't get a room near the function space unless you like listening to Indian weddings all day and night. Overall it was fine. Just not my first choice.
Great property
lamdscape
Rooms could be modernised
Absolutely beautiful property and hotel but a little dated, especially the bathroom and rugs. But the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Great look of the hotel ,but so many things are not working in tje room. Many necessary ameneties are not there. Most of the staff are great except very few. Food buffet spread is great ,taste wise its hit or miss.
This property is HUGE! The lobby is filled with temples and is practically a museum in itself! They also have a museum of historical photography on the extensive grounds, which includes a nicely landscaped walking track. We were there during Dipawali and the marigold garland decorations, as well as the large sand mandala on the lobby floor was beautiful As a Hyatt member, extensive tea/coffee and happy hour drinks and warm appetizers are available. The large pool is very nice, and the spa and workout facilities were a nice plus.
It’s a huge beautiful property but seems like all departments work independently not as a sync.
Overall a very pleasant stay. A very good location. All amenities needed are available. Wifi was weak so they gave special router for the room. Restaurant has tons of good quality food.
We stayed 9 days and our stay was not the best.there is not good wifi and not hot water.can’t use bath tub cuz hot water is not coming at all.breakfast became very poor.not like before.breakfast area is not comfortable .
AC didn’t work, it was hot as hell and staff couldn’t fix it. Dirty water from tub. Terrible food.
Amazing
It was fantastic and all the staff was friendly
Very friendly and accommodating my request
This is by far, the worst Hyatt hotel I've stayed in. Hotel is EXTREMELY outdated, rooms are really old. Air conditioner did not work and they had no proper explanation, just citing it was a central AC problem so they couldn't do anything about it. Ended up giving us stand fan for the night. Beds and floors were worn out as well. Would not recommend for the price and definitely not a 5 or 4 star hotel.
Nice location. Friendly staff. Nice grounds, although lawns are dry as there are no sprinklers. Hotel upkeep, especially bathrooms, can be done better. Cleaning staff need more training to meet international standards.
Beautiful property - very quiet and staff was very attentive.
Everything was wonderful about the stay with one large exception. There was rarely any hot water for bathing. Almost everyday I had to take a cold shower and the hotel never addressed this adequately. At 5pm daily, I did have hot water for awhile but it was absurd to have to wait until then to bathe. I will look elsewhere to stay for my future visits to Nepal
The service and staff at this property have been impeccable in every regard. I never heard the word no or can’t during my stay. The food was very good, the gym well equipped and also had some tennis lessons to see if I remember how to play. Everyone made me feel at home in this hotel, considering just outside the doors the entire city is in lockdown - they handled these pressures and went above and beyond.
An oasis in the middle of chaos.
I’ve stayed at the Kathmandu Hyatt many times and I’m never disappointed. It’s a beautiful place.
Ok place to stay.
The hotel is rustic. The lamp in between our beds was broken. We asked them to fix it, but they didn’t until we asked again later in the day/evening. The mattresses are futon like and therefore quite hard. The lobby is beautifully decorated and the staff is very friendly.
This property looks good in picture but bit of a run down. The staff could have been more helpful but they seems to be lacking the basic training of customer service. I would be looking to stay somewhere else in my next visit.
Hyatt nepal needs serious renovation
I booked Hyatt hotel Kathmandu ..Not up to their name... they gave me a room where the bed was torn from The sides and the wall near the entrance had a bubble painting which is not good for health.. it took me 1 hr to get a room .. I thought may be I booked online thats why they allocated me this kind of room.. they need serious renovation .. the Woden floor had holes where I was about to slip .. even in the room the wooden floor was so slippery .. I asked them to change the bed sheet one day as I dropped something the new bedsheet too was having dirt spots.. staffs were good.. the room central heater wasn’t working properly they said there was some technical issue which they were getting solved and got me a heater in the room which they dint On it properly .. which took time to figure out how .. internet was not working properly.. I had to leave the hotel and shift to another one as I had to extend my stay ...breakfast was good. I did mention everything in the reception when they asked me her name is ms Aarati .. Now I am in Tibet international not a huge property but worth the price .. my family had recommended it to me before but I dint listen to them and wanted a 5 star property for my comfort .. it should be value for money .. I am hyperthermia patient cannot take cold ..
Didnt like the pillows as they were flat. Despite asking for better pillows, szme thing happened. So, i didn't sleep well for 3 nights. Also, the plumbing
An oasis within Kathmandu in very pleasant grounds with good facilities. Close to airport.
Overall very uncomfortable stay, decor very dated, pillows were very uncomfortable, unable to get the right temperature in the room, internet issues.
I give this property a 5 star rating. It is very unique, well run, impeccable and a true retreat in a town (Kathmandu) which is a town in horrible condition. Coming 'home' to the Hyatt from a day of hiking is a most welcoming event, the staff is excellent, the rooms are great and the grounds are impeccable. THIS IS A TRUE 5 STAR RESORT !!!!!!
Wonderful!
Very comfortable stay at Hyatt Regency Bery good server ce and great location!
Great hotel and friendly staff, very happy with our stay
Peaceful and well maintained, an oasis in the middle of a chaotic city.
Excellent facilities . Good view , near by to air port and important land marks
It's a great pleasure to stay there can be there for next time
Excellent hotel stay
Very nice oasis in the middle of busy city - club lounge is excellent highly recommended
Gorgeous & peaceful
This is a beautiful, peaceful hotel on well-maintained grounds in the midst of a very chaotic city. A very welcome respite from the rest of The it’s. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Kathmandu.
A paradise oasis in Kathmandu. Staff were phenomenal and even surprised me with a cake on my birthday.
I flew into Kathmandu after more than 30 hours of travel from the US and I picked this property because it is a known brand and I wanted to be sure to have the Hyatt car meet me at the airport so I could pick it out from the many unknown and unreliable transportation offers that stand outside the airport doors. Although the drive from the airport was slow due to intense traffic jams, the property is set back from the road by a driveway lined with trees, so it was very quiet. The building and grounds are elegant and open. It was clean and had many seating areas and pleasing views.
receptionist very rudewho checked us in
bathroom very dirty (corners when u open to go in or out of shower had so much of mud)
Perfect location for one night, as it is close to the airport. Rooms were very good. Staff were excellent. Would highly recommend the property.
Loved the food and staff services. Basically loved everything the hotel had to offer, especially the massive gardens. Will spend more time this November, Thank you!
This is a great hotel and played a significant part in the enjoyment of our week-long stay in Kathmandu. The staff were universally friendly, welcoming, efficient and enthusiastic about their jobs. We really felt welcomed and looked-after. This is very much an old-school service culture at the hotel. The hotel itself is very nice: lovely grounds to walk in, large outdoor pool, three places to eat and drink at reasonable prices, and comfortable rooms. Food was varied, with local and international, with good quality and value for money. Only the price of alcoholic drinks stung a little, especially after the service charge and tax added 23%. The hotel is not central but we made it to all the main sights, including the monkey temple and three Durbar Squares, in less than 40 minutes, and the airport is very convenient. In conclusion, I can thoroughly recommend this oasis of calm and relaxation in the heart of Kathmandu.
The hotel was nice and on beautiful grounds that provided a nice retreat from the pace of Kathmandu. The hotel is a bit dated and it is probably time to renovate some aspects.
The lobby is very attractive. Although we didn’t use it, the pool area was beautiful. The rooms were nice and the bathrooms were very nice.
Very good hotel
Came to visit the sights of Kathmandu. Breakfast was enjoyable and the overall visit very comfortable

NICE ..................................................................................................................................................................................................
the service and the staff. the lobby is very inviting
An excellent place to stay in Kathmandu
This was our second stay at the Hyatt Regency in Kathmandu and I cannot recommend it enough. The service was excellent, with the staff looking after myself and my family really well, providing some small toys for the children. We chose to upgrade to the Club Lounge which was well worth it as it included breakfast and evening canapés. We look forward to staying there again in the near future. The location is good - outside the CBD but very close to the Boudha which is one of the most magical places in Kathmandu. It is also conveniently located close to the airport, and is set amongst lovely gardens. The playground for children was also a welcome bonus.
Business hotel
Close to airport. One of the best hotels in Kathmandu.
5* hotel with great service - highly recommend
The hotel was perfect, great staff, service, food and hospitality. The rooms were very clean and good standard. Would book again
Great looking hotel ! But not well maintained . Staff is ok & the whole property is in need of renovation . Thanks
Hotel condition and facilities are just pathetic. Staff is good but other services are not at all off 5 star standard
Really enjoyed the kind staff and lovely property here. I would highly recommend this hotel as a sanctuary from the chaos on Kathmandu!
It is a comfortable place to come back to after a day of touring outside.
The hotel and facilities were amazing. For the standard of hotel rooms, the towels and robes let the experience down. Both were off white, old and tired. Everything else was excellent.
Oasis in a bustling city
The Hyatt is an oasis in the bustling city of Kathmandu. It has all the comforts of home with Nepali flair.
Fantastic hotel - loved every aspect of my stay. Thank you Hyatt!
Pay the bit extra to get away from dust
I was going to stay at a cheaper place which id booked months in advance but decided to follow the reviews and upgrade to stay here - so pleased I did. It is busy and if there is a conference on then it puts pressure on a few bits (like breakfast) but all in all its a tranquil oasis in the middle of crazy Kathmandu and surrounded by trees feel much cleaner and more nature. Pool is great too and the pool boys are really attentive and friendly. Gym is excellent too.
Whilst the hotel is excellent, the position is less good. If you were travelling to Kathmandu to spend a vacation closeted in a resort hotel with no intent to sample the local architecture and delights - then OK , but Kathmandu and Nepal have so much to see and experience . The distance from the city centre is daunting and, especially in the height of traffic ( exacerbated by monsoon rains ) takes too long . The so called 5 minute walk to the Boudhanath Stupa must have been done by a super athlete !
Great swimming pool and amazing breakfasts. Bouddha is close by and the next door taragaun museum is lovely.
OK hotel
It’s an Ok hotel but you don’t get the 5-star experience there. The staff is not welcoming or service oriented. A bit disappointing when one expects a 5-star experience.
Loved the pool, but hotel needed updating
The shower in my room needed a good scrub down, hard water stains on glass made it look unclean. The internet was spotty, and the room had a smell, not sure if it was mildew or cleaning products but was somewhat unpleasant. Staff was excellent and VERY helpful. Good food in the restaurant, and loved the pool area and bar/pool cafe.
Everything was absolutely amazing! Just wish they bathroom amenities- soaps, shampoos etc.- would not be in plastic but in something a little more environmentally friendly.
Awesome stayed
Awesome & super nice hotel
The hotel staff is welcoming and helpful. You'll be within walking distance of market and the the temple. Small shops are nearby. The hotel is comfortable and a sea of green next to the bustling city. We thought that their extra charge for breakfast and happy hour snacks were a good buy. You can also buy ala carte if you want. If you need a taxi, the outside staff will call one and give you an estimate for cost. They will also tell the driver know where you are going. Don't forget to establish cost before getting in taxi ;)
Absolutely Beautiful!
We absolutely loved our experience at Hyatt Regency Kathmandu. We enjoyed running the trail around the property, the expansive lawn to do yoga on near the manicured rose gardens. We enjoyed laying pool side with refreshing watermelon mint spritzers, the rooms were clean and nice and they were kind enough to offer an upgraded room with a view of the Boudha Stupa to compensate for our airport delays...but BEST of all was the breakfast buffet. I was so thrilled to see so many beautiful and tasty Vegan options as well as a variety of fresh squeezed juices! In fact, the buffet was mostly vegetarian, which is so refreshing & considerate! We had such a lovely stay at the beginning of our trip that we booked it again on our last day of the trip just to enjoy the pool one last time before getting on the 46 hour flight back home to the USA.
Classiest establishment I've stayed in while in Kathmandu. Appears to be a hit with VIP types as well. Hotel is definitely 4 star material.
I chose the location due to its proximity to the airport and my meeting, the whole area seemed run down, and one felt stuck in the middle of no where! Previous experiences in Nepal have always left me with wonderful food experiences the food here is not great. Had a function in the gardens which made the place really noisy.
Good
Good experience best rooms and best hospitality and nice place
Very tired and neglected hotel
Defiantly not a Hyatt Regency level hotel. Ridiculous price for what is essentially a 2 to 3 star property. Everything very dated, constant power and internet outages, very poor / lukewarm buffet options, horrendous pricing for room service / laundry service / airport transfer services .... would definitely not recommend this property.
5 star rating of hotel apparent in all aspects. Wouldn’t know how to improve the great breakfast on offer. Complimentary ride to airport was a bonus.
Room not up to Expectations for a Hyatt
The hotel lobby is very presentable, but the room is somewhat dated and even power outlets were in short supply. For less money, I know of other hotels in Kathmandu which I would recommend to a friend.
Comfortable but not exceptional
We booked a superior room, and found it to be extremely spacious, and comfortable enough, although the condition was slightly old and tattered feeling. It was also a bit noisy, being very close to the airport, and dogs barking at night, but I guess that's the price to pay for a convenient location in Kathmandu. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good, although the service a bit slow. All in all, it's a nice enough haven from the hubbub of Kathmandu, but nothing remarkable in any way.
The only place I stay in Kathmandu
Wow, what can I say about this hotel. It came highly recommended by others I trust, the rooms are beautiful, comfortable and peaceful. Staff go out of their way to make sure you're happy and to help you troubleshoot issues, such as I had with airlines temporarily losing my luggage for 3 days, even going to the airport to pick it up for me when the airline wouldn't deliver. There's a free shuttle you can take to some locations, refreshing beverages in the lobby, lots of variety at breakfast, a wonderful sitting area and gardens, and the location is walking distance to the main stupa. If you want breakfast, have the buffet added to the cost of your room; buying it separately/later makes it pretty expensive. Be respectful, be grateful, tip when appropriate and respect cultural norms and you'll have a great stay!
Beautiful property and great staff!
The hotel is well located and is very peaceful. It’s great if you want to get away from the noise and chaos of Kathmandu. The property is beautiful and the service is great. From the moment I arrived, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I checked in the day before my bday and the receptionist must have informed the other staff because the next morning, Room service delivered a cake to my room and when I went down for breakfast, the staff came with another cake to sing happy bday to me! It was very thoughtful and very much appreciated! Thank You
Hotel needs upgradation. Rooms were not upto the mark.
Close to airport
I had bad experience in this hotel...room not clean bit smelling Wi-Fi so slow Every time froze overall bad experience
Grand style hotel great for exploring
Stayed here for 5 nights as a family of four (kids 2yrs and 4yrs) in interconnected rooms. The main hotel reception and grounds are really lovely and feel like a complete escape from the surrounding crazy streets. Lots of outdoor space to wander and for the kids to run around. We ate in the main restaurant which served a good buffet breakfast and very nice lunch and dinner. We also ate in the Italian which was very nice. Food was relatively expensive but I guess that comes with the big brand hotels. Rooms were large and very clean but a little bit old and dated - ready for a refresh but probably very good for Kathmandu. Location wise the hotel is great. It’s around 20mins from the centre of Kathmandu but 10mins easy walk to Boudhanath Stupa which is really stunning. The kids loved wandering the little streets surrounding it and there are some good restaurants in the area. Service was variable - we had some helpful people (the guys at the front door we’re great negotiating taxi fares in advance with all the taxi drivers) but there seemed to be a general lack of understanding and pro activity (a high chair would take 10mins each meal time despite staff standing around chatting). Saying that I would still recommend for a family stay.
Bad experience
Bath room cleanness was bad, no room view , food was not good and expensive, not welcoming staff
Wonderful place to stay
This was a great place to stay for a couple of nights in Kathmandu. It's relatively close to the airport, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable. The grounds of the hotel were also very nice. Great stay!
Very High Standard
We stayed at this hotel on 1st and 2nd Jan 2018. We were impressed with everything at this hotel. The check-in staff were very nice and informative and took us up to our room. Everything was of a high standard. The staff were charming. The breakfasts and dinners were fabulous. We highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent place to stay in Kathmandu
It is excellent hotel in Kathmandu, city is chaotic but stay here is best peaceful and serene will recommend this place
Excellent property poor maintenance!!!
This is an excellent property which is run down. Wi-Fi is very weak, the room temperature control does not work, no one did anything to any of those despite complaining.n
The hotel is a bit worn...telephone in the bathroom was missing (there were traces that one had been there), the design of the shower is such that one can barely avoid the cold water rush when you turn on the faucets. The service is excellent and the staff is helpful and courteous and knowledgable. The staff made the stay memorable and extremely comfortable.

Location!!!! Restaurant! Bath tub!
