Subpar shower experience

The weakest water pressure in shower we have ever experienced in hotels. Shower clogs easily too. View and easy access to MTR is a plus though.

Clean / convenient/ good service

Excellent room with a view of the mountains. Contained everything to make our ten day stay comfortable and enjoyable.

I am a returning guest here. It was a brand new hotel several years ago. It shows aging now. But it was clean and comfortable enough.

Excellent location. The worst is there is no other restaurant around except restaurant in the hotel. , only fast food restaurant.

Excellent and enjoyable stay

The check in was very fast and I have to thank the front desk management for their appropriate response to my suggestion over the past few months. I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to a top notch suite for which I am most grateful. I also took the opportunity to have a casual but intimate dinner in the G/F restaurant. I shall be back !!

Fast Check In at the Hyatt, Sha Tin, Hong Kong

An excellent room. As in my previous response to your questionnaires the single most crucial concern for me is the check in time. The reason is obvious. Local family men in Hong Kong booking into hotels for discrete liaisons do not want to be seen queueing at the check in counter for fear of being spotted by friends and relatives. For this reason Hyatt Regency in Sha Tin is much more preferable than other hotels downtown. I am pleased to see the fast response at the counter with additional staff immediately deployed upon observing even a small queue. The management deserves some real praise.

I will definitely stay at this hotel again next time.

I do not have much more to add to my response given to you during the past weeks. The check in time has indeed been reduced substantially with the addition of more staff at the check in counter. Room conditions are excellent and acceptable. My main concern about checking in time is the fact that married men do not wish to be seen in the lobby by friends or relatives waiting to check into a room. The Sha Tin Hyatt is relatively discrete compared to other big hotels in downtown Central or TST and is a favorite for many of my friends.

I've changed my schedule to stay in the hotel one day after the planned day. The hotel has allowed the change without extra payments. Appreciate it!

Relaxed quiet hotel. Great pool and gym. All staff v helpful. Great location for visiting relatives in New Territories or sightseeing in Kowloon or HK island next to University MTR station.

A so call 5 star hotel doesn’t provide anything you would need for traveling, such as toothpaste and shower material. Staff argue with you don’t care about your needs. First of all this location is in the middle of no where everywhere we go was 200+ HKD in Uber trying to argue with me that all hotels in HK don’t provide living essentials which was a lie

Just a list of our experience. 1. Mosquito bites everyday. 2. Found 1 live spider on bed. 3. Pillow and bed are too soft and provides no support for the body. 4. Slow-draining drain led to water overflow in the shower room. 5. Baby bath tub was provided by request, but there was no small chair or stool to let parents to sit and bathe a baby. 6. Service is good.

Good location if you are visiting the tech areas in Sha Tin otherwise far from the airport. Metro is close by but not direct from airport, so if you have baggage etc taxi is better. Not many shopping or eating places near by but hotel has a good restaurant

Location is good for me, staffs are proactive and helpful

This hotel is with spacious room and good views. It's next to The Chinese University of Hong Kong, which is very convenient. One thing to mention is that the room has some mild unpleasant odor. The breakfast is not to the caliper for this category of hotels. We also lost a good portion of the delivered food at midnight and the hotel didn't inform us about what happened after our inquiry.

Beyond expectation!

Scenic views with a stunning swimming pool. However, the blackout curtains may not completely block out light. Guests who are sensitive to light and are light sleepers may want to bring their own eye masks.

Spacious and well designed rooms, great views (huge windows) and buffet restaurant.

Loved the stay. Was impressed with the room service's speed and efficiency. The room was in excellent condition and loved the view. The staff were all very friendly. Hope there can be more variety for breakfast spread.

Overall a solid 5 star with friendly service, good gym, great large pool and close to mtr station. Our room had recently been refurbished as well and bed was super comfortable. Negatives: sauna was hot but the entire sauna/spa area very dated and rundon / bit dirty. Also there's nothing nearby, so not suitable for tourists, but we stayed there as we visited family in tai po.

Good stay overall in the suburbs of HK. Very close to a MTR station. However, the cleaning crew mistook one of my bag and threw it away. Was compensated by the management for this incident.

I have left my health necklace in my room and I note it one day after checked out. I have called the reception of hotel & they claimed they have no record. I have left my contact to the hotel. However, the hotel called me after 2 hours of my initial call & they said they found it. It seems the housekeeping staff is not carrying for his/ her duty properly.

The property is located at a very convenient location near the University MTR station and the bus station. The room is spacious with excellent service.

This hotel is at a very convenient location close to my family, bus, shuttle, and MTR station with ample parking for car owners. The facility is very clean and updated. We were lucky to get 2 adjoining rooms with great harbor view! Staff were very professional and food was great - both brunch and dinner. We would come again!

5 star Hyatt, excellent facility and staff/service, a few minutes from Metro station (University Station), away from the fray (quiet) yet you can get anywhere easily.

Room size is big

The location is good when you need to go to New Territory. 30 minutes to go to Hong Kong Island.

I’m pleased with all generally

Good. Very close to train station.

We stayed in a 2- bedroom executive room which was very big and roomy for the the family. Great for not being cooped up. The decor could do with updating. Everything was brown. The kitchenette tap was leaking each time we used it. I had to move the microwave as the water was going behind it. The most infuriating thing about the room was it’s a harbour view plus highway view. So you could hear the traffic all day and night. The windows had very poor soundproofing. A few nights we were startled awake by motorcycles revving up the road. I tried to change rooms but I was told all 2 bedroom executive rooms had a harbour view. I would’ve worn earplugs but I needed to be able to listen out for the children in the other bedroom. The location of hotel is handy for the train as it’s right by the station. A few convenience shops for food and drinks but other than that there is not much to do in the neighbourhood. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety and catered for children and grown ups.

The employees are very friendly and polite.

Good experience in the New territories. Peace and quiet with a lot of fresh air. Not crowded with people in CBD. The hotel restaurant is quite expensive.

Near train station, service is good.

Convenient and a wonderful view! But we waited for an hour to check in (4:30-5:30pm!) Drainage problem and fridge not work. But got fixed in the evening.

5-star service and excellent value

I stayed Hyatt Regency in Shatin for a few years while visiting family before the pandemic. The staff and service have always been excellent. This time, because of the pandemic, I decided to eat at the restaurants at the hotel during my stay. No disappointment. Dim sum, western meals and breakfast buffet were great. I will definitely stay at the hotel again. It is very convenient to the MTR station within walking distance.

It served my purpose with satisfactory service. The environment is good and quiet in this particular period after the festival days.

Generally the room is clean though a little bit old fashion decoration. The food is good.

Hyatt keep good standard even through I am not member of them. The environment is relaxing and not too crowd, a good place to rest.

We couldn’t get the room nor the room number after queuing at the lobby counter for more than a hour for check-in. Eventually the room was ready after 6pm... We complained about that and got a late check out extended to 3pm. However, I have to pay extra 2 hours of car parking fee because of the late check out extension (despite I have paid 2 full day parking with total of $448). I would not blame the front line staff as they were also suffering but the hotel management should really examine what went wrong as these are the system problems and guests are queuing up and complaining like crazy every day.

1)rooms with sea view : the views are perfect. 2)the size of the room : quite good. 3) coffee shop/buffet area : spacious between tables, with a good selective of food.

The room is clean but the sport facilities lack maintenance, especially the tennis court. The swimming pool is a mess, the staff there was not able to contain the people from keeping the two lanes for swimming laps. It was quite a scene and horrific to swim in. Water has quite a bit of dirt as well. The staff in general are nice but too green and helpless.

The hotel needs more maid staff. Checked in at 3:30pm, but still waited 2 hours for our room. Daily maid service was also late in the day. The hotel cannot handle full (or close to full) capacity. Check-in time/process also too slow.

Amazing for birthday celebration

HK getaway

Check-in was slow, there were only 2 people on the desk with a long queue of people waiting. We checked in at 3:30 but were told that we would have to wait an additional 30 minutes for the room to be ready as the previous guests checked out very late, however when I asked if they could find another room for us they did; the staff were really friendly. The rooms were large and spacious and it was really nice to have a kitchenette. The rooms were quiet and very spacious for HK standards, however, the double bed was quite old and not very comfortable, the single beds (in the kid's room) were a lot more comfortable. The highlight of our stay would have to be the swimming pool, with 2 kids in tow, we spent most of our time there. It was spacious and even with a quota we always managed to get in at every session. The pool never felt crowded.

Unreasonable check in time

I got there at 3pm and could not get into my room until 3:30pm. The reason was the room has not had an inspection, considering the hotel already had a unreasonable check-in time of 3pm. I call this bad management. It also took a long time for items to be delivered to the room after ordering.

Great for value

Loved the hotel, the swimming pool allocation, and the staff service and breakfast selection. All at great value, planning to go again! Great location to explore different islands from ma Liu Shui ferry!
