Nice stay and pleasant staff

Fantastic property. Clean, large rooms, friendly staff. Great amenities. Stayed on the 6th floor with executive lounge access. The staff running this was 5 star if not more. I cant say enough good things about them. Loved the convenience of the lounge and it has great views of the city. 5 minute walk to train station to get in and out of Cologne. Taxies were always around. 10 minute walk to old town across the bridge. Negative- bathroom a little dark. We will definitely be back on our next stay in Cologne. Thank you for making our stay amazing! We will be back.

Check in was a breeze and parking was on site. It's a short walk tonthe Dom.

Amazing property and location and the stuff were amazing we travelled with our little daughter and the staff went beyond to make sure we were happy with everything... highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again

Stayed here for three nights ,first night was far too hot with no window to open Complained to reception to change rooms so went out for day, came back to a new room with an opening window hooray I had such a good sleep and no other complaints ….perfect location

We chose a room with club access which was great. The location was just a 10 minute walk from the main centre, so it was quiet but close enough to get to other areas, also convenient distance from the train station.

What a great property! Was just SO hot in the room though and couldn't temperature control very well.

The staff and hotel were lovely! The hotel was clean and bright. I would highly recommend this hotel. Located near the train station and great location for all things cologne. Highly recommend!

Hyatt delivers, and as always this is not an expectation. The building and facilities are phenomenal. Our room (king bed) was looking slightly dated but not in bad shape at all, and overall it was large and comfortable. The amenities are great, and the hotel is in a good central location. I would happily come again.

Family trip to Cologne

A most excellent stay at the Hyatt Regency Cologne. Excellent service, great room, nice Pool and superb Breakfast.

Amazing hotel

Great stay, would love to go back already. Wouldn’t fancy the walk across the bridge in bad weather but we had fantastic weather and it was a spectacular walk.

Elegant place, excellent service, beautiful place. Everything so closely, connected. Love my stay, they made me feel like a Queen!

Spend the extra money and get the room with river view!! Workout in the gym, and do the hydro spa (dry sauna, steam room, cold shower, pool, hot tub). Loved it here

House keeping needs to improve

We stayed in Cologne for a few days for the Euros. Overall we loved the hotel. The staff all were super amazing, super friendly, and helpful. The restaurants and dining options were all also super amazing. There were many options. Getting to watch one of the games in the bar was great. One small thing was the rooms are outdated. Breakfast is amazing so many wonderful options but the rooms need some updates. The beds are great but the carpets are old and dirty as well as the bathrooms and doors. Overall we loved the stay and would definitely go back to this hotel when we come back to Cologne.

Favourite hotel of our European trip so far. Easy to walk to from train station. Great view of the Dom. Loved being able to run along the Rhine in the mornings. Even received a bottle of sparkling wine & chocolates as it was my birthday when we stayed. Good gym & nice pool with spa too

Stayed here during Euros. Great location and high end property but given the football was on the service in the bar was very slow and the bar shut way too early

Wonderful hotel as soon as we walked in! Parking was provided for a fee in the garage. We had a beautiful view of the church and bridge. Breakfast was phenomenal and hotel service was top notch. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

The hotel forced me to get a large suite (and pay in total nearly $700) just because we didn’t add my minor son to the reservation for my wife and I. We had two queen beds in the room available. Apparently impossible to make any changes. No flexibility or work around was even discussed. We were disgusted by the behavior of the Hyatt desk person. Couldn’t even speak to a supervisor. Then we realized the forced suite didn’t even have a bed in it for my son to use. Atrocious service from Hyatt. So disappointed.

Great location but not worth the price

Great location and the entrance of the hotel is lovely. Very modern and up to date. But the overall stay was okay, not really worth the price. Had to pay an additional €36 a night for parking. Breakfast was an additional €36 per person (ridiculous price). Rooms/bathrooms need an upgrade and bed is uncomfortable. Felt very claustrophobic that we couldn’t open a window.

Beautiful property and close to lots of land mark. Staff is wonderful and friendly. Room is clean and beds are comfortable. Light can be a little brighter. Buffet breakfast has good selection and healthy too. One of the better Hyatt Regency. Love to stay again.

Wonderful staff, fantastic welcome. Used the Club Lounge and it was perfect - staff so friendly and attentive and a wonderful selection of snacks and beverages. Room was lovely, comfy, loved the deep bath and large television. Couldn’t fault this stay, loved it.

Horrible Hyatt Hotel!!!

Receptionists are not friendly and unprofessional. Not to expect for Hyatt Regency Hotel like I used to work in Indonesia. I remember we always told to be friendly to every guests, doesn’t matter where we come from.

Room was quite dark. It would have benefitted from one more light in the middle of the room controlled by a light switch rather than turning on 5 lamps.

great hotel with nice view and easy access to the city center. We had a lovely stay and our room was spacious and clean.

Lovely hotel but let us down by not acknowledging the fact it was for a special occasion even though emailed the hotel in advance absolutely no recognition whatsoever which was very disappointing.

Very nice and modern lobby. Lovely club floor with views of river. Despite our room being a non-smoking room, smelled strongly of smoke. Suspect it was previously a smoking room and floors and walls still stink of smoke. Badly need to rip-up carpets and update some of rooms.

It is breathtakingly beautiful. The decor is amazing. The staff is attentive and always accommodating. The location is perfect close to all the major sightseeing places.

Outstanding hotel in a great central location with beautiful view of the river and cathedral from the room. A short walk over the bridge to shops, restaurants, and train station. The bar, restaurant and room service are all excellent if you don’t feel like going out. Very friendly and helpful staff, perfect stay.

A pleasant stay

We enjoyed the generously sized room in a modern, well maintained hotel. The gym was good and the sauna and pool a real bonus. The room could have done with more lights as it felt gloomy without the very large TV turned on. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Property was by the river with a short walk to the cathedral and Christmas markets. Everything was clean and well presented, rooms were a good size and they served an excellent breakfast with lots of choice.

Beautiful hotel

The suite we stayed in was very spacious, much bigger than other suites around, and it faced the river and the famous Cologne Cathedral and the bridge. The suite was well maintained (contrary to some other comments we read in the hotel review). The extra bed, which we requested in advance, was noted by the hotel was ready at the time we check-in. The hotel staff was very helpful by arranging to bring our luggages to our room directly.

I stayed for 2 nights and my room was never cleaned once ( I didn’t have the DND hanged out ) Otherwise the check in staff / restaurants were so good . But the room cleaning service was disappointing

Great location, great view!

Location was good- great view across to the cathedral over the river. I found the reception staff unwelcoming. Bar staff were very friendly. Pool was very heavily chlorinated and looked to be dirty on the bottom and in a few areas around. Food options for dinner were limited (Italian with no pizza or bolognese for kids), sticky fingers restaurant was a bit pricey (€15 burger with no sides and covered in sauces yet lacking in flavor). The car park was full so I had to drive around for 30 minutes looking for a space- not ideal when traveling with a young child.

We had a wonderful stay. The service especially was welcoming and helpful. The buffet breakfast is a must!

The check in staff member was very welcoming. The location is perfect. River view rooms are lovely.

The hotel is very nice. But I am still trying to fix all of the charges they made on my credit card. I had one charge for the room, one charge for incidentals then they made another one that does not show on my hotel bill. Expedia was no help trying to resolve the situation. Their breakfast is very good.

We visited for the event at Laxness arena. Good location between Laxness and city center! Nice rooms a bit outdated. In front of the river!

The room was comfortable and well-appointed. The restaurants were FANTASTIC. I can't recommend STICKY FINGERS highly enough, especially their fish and chips. The breakfast buffet was the most expansive one I've ever seen, and the food was great, to boot. We had one minor hitch and the hotel staff went over and above to make it up to us. The hotel is located close to the Lock Bridge and across the river from the cathedral. It's easy to walk to a bunch of great places, and it's not far from the trains.

Great Stay in Koln.

Had issues with room; requested separate shower. Went down twice to reception and was told that’s what I had. Thought I was missing something. Spoke with housekeeping who assured me that I didn’t have a separate shower and that I could request it. When back down to reception where I was greeted by another staff who changed my room to one with a separate shower. Then my credit card was authorized twice for the deposit which needed to be straighten out and corrected even though I had paid in full before arriving. Staff should have advised guests that there was a holiday and everything other than some cafes and restaurants not all would be closed Otherwise all was well. A beautiful city with friendly people.

I liked the hotel very much. My hassle was in working with Expedia and hotel to change my reservation by one day. Took over 4 tries and was extremely frustrating.

Great hotel in unforgettable location

Wonderfully situated hotel across the Rhine River from the glorious cathedral. It would help if the hotel provided instructions for finding the way from the rail station across the busy bridge walkway in about 20 mins. Big luxury hotel with friendly attentive staff. Lovely breakfast location and a nice bar for evening drinks. A pity our room was not properly cleaned with dusty surfaces and a broken heating system but we loved every minute of our two days here. Highly recommended.

The Hyatt was a very traditional Hyatt. Luxurious rooms great amenities. The view of the Rhine river was fabulous and the location was perfect.

Very clean and well maintained. Walking distance to the train station and it takes 15 minutes to get to the airport

Christmas beer trip

Used Cologne as the base as we also visited Bonn and Dusseldorf, picked the Hyatt as the price offered was excellent for the quality of the hotel. Never ate at the hotel but used the legends bar which is a nice little bar. All the staff were friendly and helpful, location wise its 7 to 10 minutes walk across the bridge into the what I would say is the town centre or if you struggle with steps walk few minutes behind the hotel and you can get to train station to grab train a few minutes across the bridge to and come out at front of cathedral

Nice rooms with nice view, feel was bit pricey. Had to wait 20 minutes to check out, that was disappointing. Swimming pool was cold!

Lovely property, just over the river from the main town

We were able to walk to the hotel from the train station in 15 minutes. Staff was awesome, room was super ice and quiet even with us being by the river walk. Plan on going there agin when we need a weekend get-away.

clean rooms, stylish hotel lobby and breakfast area, superb position on the Rhine but away from the central crush, great value.

Not the most convenient location but a pleasant hotel

Our room was very quiet and had a great view onto the river and the cathedral. The staff was great. Sasha (the concierge) was extremely professional and courteous, and so was the assistant manager. The young lady with black hair, and a tall young man with light brown hair who were in charge of the club lounge on the business floor were very hard-working and attentive. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend the property to others due to its convenient location and the friendly service.

Pleasant stay. Comfortable rooms. Large beds, although I did not find them super comfy. Could be a matter of preference though. Large bathroom. Beautiful views. Friendly staff. Early reservation for pool+spa facilities required during covid.
