Relaxing weekend
I had a lovely overnight stay at The Hyatt in Birmingham for my daughter's birthday, very friendly staff, rooms lovely and clean and roomy and great that you can make use of the spa facilities during your stay
Great hotel
Great stay, friendly staff, door card issues with the lifts, seemed to be a common theme with other guests as well. Overall recommended
Great location
Fabulous location minutes from the city centre shops and local restaurants. On entry, reception desk location is easy to miss as its in a corner snd not easy to see from the entrance. We had to ask reception to increase the heating as we were unable to adjust within the room. Need to do a bit more work with housekeeping, dropped a ring on the floor and had to move th bed, which highlighted that the space underneath hadnt been cleaned in a while. The room is spacious and beds comfortable. Reception staff friendly and professional.
It is a beautiful property! Rooms are so so good, and the windows were nice and large just as I love! Just loved my stay, looking forward to come back soon❤️ Thankyou Hyatt.
Average
Check in very slow, even though i checked in on line, the check out queue was back to the lifts if not longer a long queue if you haven't stayed. The smell of weed! As we left our room was so overpowering i thought we we're staying at a dodgy B&B not a 4 star hotel. I appreciate a hotel can't control everything, a shame location is convenient we would not stay there again.
Loved the windows and the amenities that was provided, excellent service.
Amazing
Perfect location for evening out in Birmingham. Room well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend
I don’t think the hotel was worth the price. The staff weren’t helpful and the amenities are subpar.
Great stay
Hotel room and bar were perfect We were travelling with friends who had also booked a room Checking in at the same time we were denied early check in, while they were offered a choice of rooms for their early check in.
Nice staff, pleasant views from higher floors. Rooms need some modernising especially the bathrooms but a good hotel.
Worth paying that little bit more!
Beautiful hotel, with excellent facilities. Maintained to a very high standard, and extremely comfortable. Lovely food in the restaurant for both evening meal and breakfast. Staff polite, courteous and efficient. There are cheaper hotels around, but glad we paid a little extra to stay in this one. Would/will definitely stay here again.
Excellent as ever
High Standard Hotel
High standard hotel with service to match. Excellent leisure facilities . Comfy bed , large tv although the bathroom is dated its condition was good and served its purpose. Heating control worked really well , especially important in the winter.
Theatre stay in Brum
Everything from the concierge to booking out was wonderful. Location is perfect to enjoy Brum Spa was much needed We even got to park on site Thank you to all at the Hyatt
Good hotel , great location , friendly and professional staff, the room was really hot and even though the aircon was pumping it didnt seem to cool it down.
A great hotel in a perfect location. The pool and spa area are lovely and clean. The rooms are large and very quiet and comfortable. A great location to get everywhere. Lots of cafes and restaurants within a 5/10 min walk. Would definitely recommend.
Comfortable Stay
Lovely reception team, effortless check-in and out. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bar areas had a good atmosphere and service was good up until it got busy, after which it became a challenge to get served. I'd no time to use the leisure facilities, which looked great. The hotel's position is good, with several shops and restaurants close by.
Great location for the Christmas Market. Lovely receptionist, nice food. Enjoyed our stay.
Nice
The staff was very helpful, even sorted late check out. Would definitely stay here again
Comfortable overnight stay
Comfortable overnight stay. Fairly bland modern hotel but delivered what I needed. Good view though.
Decent for an overnight. Close to city centre
Wonderful stay
Our stay was brilliant, we came by train and arrived at 9am. Checking in staff were brilliant and rang us at 10:30 to say the room was ready! Room lovely and warm with plenty of room and good facilities. All staff in hotel were cheerful, friendly and helpful. Swimming pool lovely.
So many beautiful men in the area x
Parking is very Costly

Great stay
Check in was great. Mark was fantastic very helpful after a long day just made me feel very welcome. Comfortable bed and spa was great addition
Staff really friendly and helpful throughout. Vinay especially helpful at breakfast time ! Great stay
It was great
Disappointed with check in room not ready. Key did not work took 3 attempts. Regency Club very untidy no clean cups. No snacks. Evening time the meal was cold. Overall very disappointed on this stay. Will make alternate arrangements for next time.
Everything was impressive during our stay, especially the service at the front desk particularly the lady from Hong Kong who was very polite and helpful. However I found the chlorine in the hotel's pool was too strong. During the mornings it was very noisy due to people leaving and entering with luggage etc, possibly due to thin walls and ceilings. However overall it was a positive stay.
Super friendly charming staff! Excellent rooms, great views and very clean! Coming back again soon!
Good stay
Lovely hotel, great place to stay, good reception and comfy bed. Although they do put plastic bottles of water in the rooms, we should be moving away from plastic bottles, as we can drink the tap water!
Do not attend this property if you have children. If you have two children they will not allow two parents and two children in 1 room. Children from under the age of 12 are now banned from using the pool. There is also no children’s menu in the bar food menu.
Small Minor Issues - Overall lovely stay though
Lovely hotel, good amenities. Only 1 robe in our room, no teaspoons to stir coffee & parking was £27! Apart from the above 10/10
Would recommend
Good hotel, great spa, nice staff
Overpriced but nice enough
Filthy windows and after telling reception they said they would send someone but never did
Amazing stay, no issues, 10/10
Happy overall with the property. Aesthetics, friendliness of the staffs, gym, sauna & jacuzzi all made for a 5star experience.
Good
Finance make the decisions….
No longer met on arrival, valet parking gone which is painful as area has notoriously limited parking. Thankfully small parking area did have a space, but not surprising at £54 for 40 hours. The over bath shower in Club Room does not function, it’s as if the 1980’s designer never tested. Add to that control knob coming off in hand, so shower terrible for a quality hotel. Feeling I got was that finance make all decisions.
Great stay again at the Hyatt Birmingham. It never disappoints. Friendly staff and a lovely calm atmosphere.
Business trip
The Hyatt is in a good central location, most things are walkable that I need restaurant, bar, ICC etc. comfortable. Watch out for 10% service charge on drinks you get yourself at the bar! You pay 10%extra for the barman doing his job. We didn’t book breakfast when I booked and it was £28.00 each on the day so we went out and found breakfast at the Cosy Club, good hot breakfast
Clean, functional, good views of the city.
Fairly basic but functional hotel, with some good views across Birmingham. Expensive for what it is but I gather all the hotels had massively inflated their prices because of a football match. Asked for a cot a couple of weeks before arrival, was initially told they’d ’try their best’. Said we’d cancel if they couldn’t guarantee a place for our infant to sleep, changed their tune. Upon arrival, no cot in room. Asked reception to sort it out, assured it would be while we went out for lunch. Came back two hours later, still no cot. Had to ring down yet again, then eventually another hour later a cot arrived. I would have given the property four stars were it not for this poor show.
Poor customer service at desk. None of requests made prior to arrival were satisfied. Very poor customer service overall. Not impressed and will not return.
Fabulous hotel in central location
Good. Staf
Good
Good location for our needs. Very helpful staff and large bedrooms
Great stay just for the cricket. Shame it wasn't longer
Fabulous hotel! Lovely friendly staff,
Brilliant place to stay. Highly recommend.
Excellent value and location
Loud music from broadstreet
Unfortunately very loud music from broad street throughout the night, windows didn’t stop the noise. Hotel very nice but breakfast very expensive at an early booking rate of £24pp or £28pp on the day
Hotel room was fine. Noise outside goes on until around 12 midnight
Everything we needed was walkable

We picked this hotel specifically for the facilities but it fell short of what we were expecting. The jacuzzi was out of order for the duration of our stay. The sauna and steam rooms were not hot. The swimming pool was cold. The plunge pool was out of order. Although the room was fully paid for prior to arriving, £80 was taken from my card on arrival which we were told was a holding fee incase we used any extras?? This was not mentioned anywhere prior to booking and the fee will now take 5 days to appear back in my account. We won't be staying at the Hyatt again. Other people were complaining about the same issues.
Great choice in central Birmingham
Booked two rooms for a night. Reception staff (shout out to Gabi) went above and beyond, going out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Fantastic views and very central location. Would highly recommend this hotel. Only thing is pool isn’t suitable for children.
Very nice property centrally located to everything important to me.
The management needs to have a proper breakfast buffet, I love the luxury of going round associated foods picking what I want, both hot and cold breakfast without asking any staff to prepare this or that.
The staff is very friendly, and thanks to anjali she is very caring.
it was a lovely experience to be at the Hyatt in Birmingham
A hotel with high standard service. Good location with several steps to tram station, Birmingham library, Symphony Hall. Nice city centre view. Good quality food. However, swimming pool is only for above 12, Sauna and steam rooms were not working. Breakfast options are limited.
Great place
Mr mohamed and his team are working hard to satisfying the clients
Jeff's quick day getaway to Brum ( August 2024 )
My recent trip to Birmingham was great just a change of scenery to relax in nice surroundings indulge in some spa treatments and relax whilst I had the weekend off from work. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful, the room very clean and appliances in general all in good condition and working. The Spa and gym were a good way to release and destress, I really enjoyed using the steam room, jacuzzi and pool. It was so refreshing all in all a very good trip and I'll definitely be visiting again thanks to all staff at the Regency Hyatt whom I engaged with, fantastic service provided.. well done. From Jeff, South London
Loved the pool. Great sized room with a view. The bed could have been softer though z& better lighting was needed. I had to use the torch to read in bed.
Great hotel, great location
Fantastic as always. I wish there was a firmer pillow option. Also that fried eggs were available ok breakfast buffet.
jacuzzi was out of use, my partner isn’t a confident swimmer and couldn’t can chill in the pool astoo deep for him to chill, the reason we came because of the jacuzzi. The electric didn’t work in the room when we plugged things in.
This is my 2nd stay at the property. Check in was great as well as check out. The property was not too busy and was a little short on staff. Overall I enjoyed the stay and the central location to so many attractions, especially Grand Central. I will stay here again when I visit Birmingham England.
A great place with well maintained and furnished rooms and common areas. Pool facilities were excellent, with a sauna and steam room. Pool is a single depth throughout.
Deposit required on check in
Lovely hotel. We weren’t expecting to be charged a £40 deposit at the booking in for “incidentals” as we don’t use things like room service. I’m told the deposit is to be refunded within 5 days but it’s an extra that might catch some by surprise
Lovely stay. Enjoyed leisure facilities. Only downside bathrobe was badly stained , only realised when we got to pool. Friend didn’t want to use in return. Big other than that lovely stay. Nice quiet room.
Nice hotel, terrible parking situation
Most annoying aspect of booking at this hotel is the extra £20 odd for parking your car on hotel premises
Hotel is amazing. Avoid the pub car park!
The stay was perfect… However please advise all guests to avoid the car park at the pub down the road (Bontanist). Premier Parking Enforcement fine you for being 2inch over a white line towards a kerb and brick wall. Impeding no other car park users and causing zero obstruction.
Nice property, centrally located. Difficult to park at the hotel as parking is very limited. Car park was a 5/8 minute walk away, not that easy when carrying bags! Room was clean and spacious but VERY HOT! Couldn’t get the room to cool with the A/C control pad. Reported it but just a thanks for letting us know was answered back.
Always a wonderful hotel in which to stay Love it there
Great stay seriously let down at the end.
The staff were great and helpful. But breakfast was an absolute.... show! Nothingbabout breakfast was easy had to chase staff for the basic like cutlery. The restaurant had a poor level of items like no napkins - when asked the staff were surprised we didn't have any but they didnt give it in the fisr place so what the hell!!!! Not great Hyatt. Not great at all.
Very clean. Good quality towels. Very comfy bed
The go to Birmingham stay
Lovely and pleasant. Have stayed before and will stay again
I always enjoy staying at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Birmingham. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are always clean, the beds are so very comfortable and I have easy access to transportation and shopping, et cetera.
I love the pool and spa area which is why I always stay there despite it being a tad expensive! I go when there is an event on at the symphony hall.
Swanky, great location!
We had a lovely time, hotel was very swanky and in a good location.
We had amazing experience starting from the Check in and the Breakfast Team …The staff always friendly and they are doing the best to keep us happy We really enjoyed the stay.
Fantastic place to stay with bridge access to the Symphony Hall. Attentive staff.
Fantastic stay
Fantastic hotel, great location and friendly staff
Great location.
Really good hotel in a great location
Rooms very lovely and spacious and very clean although misleading about the canal view. Room service was quite reasonable for breakfast and tasty. Swimming pool, sauna etc.. was very nice and staff member was very helpful and friendly at the spa reception, lovely to have the robes and towels provided. Everything was walkable with everything on our doorstep. Lobby and bar area are quite stunning and lovely to relax in. We felt very safe and any questions we had were answered in a professional manner.
Good
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very
Great hotel, although getting tired.
I was expecting a little more to be honest for the price. So much competition in Birmingham, this hotel is beginning to show its age in places. Check in was super efficient. Asked for a high level room for the views, we were on 17 out of 24. There is a typo in all of the lifts. The rooms were basic but had everything we needed. The bed was sooo comfy. The curtains could do with being an inch longer, black out curtains are great but the sun coming through the shortfall was noticeable. The air con is super noisy so had to turn it off to sleep. The bathroom was great, super clean and spacious with high quality shampoo etc. Robes and slippers provided for spa access although we didn't use these facilities. Injured myself on a glass table on a black carpet in reception, the staff were super concerned and dealt with my injury - however the next morning the offending table was still in reception. Breakfast was AMAZING. Masud and the rest of the team couldn't do enough to help. Nice surroundings and more than able to cater for vegans! Check out was great too. All the staff at the Hyatt are the best!
The hot tub bubbles weren’t working at the back and the Sauna and steam room opens late so I didn’t get a chance to go in them. You can’t get your own coffee and tea (only 2 options) at breakfast, the staff have to keep coming up to you and serving you and they do not do this with a smile but were polite.
Great hotel - freezing pool
The Hyatt is our preferred hotel in Birmingham. For us the location is excellent. The staff are mostly helpful. It went through a bad stage a while ago but has vastly improved recently. Room size is good. The bathrooms are a little dated. The view from the rooms is superb and we always pay more for a room on a high floor. The breakfast has long been excellent. The staff are now also excellent. Not so great they have removed berries from the buffet, however when we mentioned it they said we only have to ask and they will bring us berries, which they did. Last time we used the pool it was freezing. They had a new Eastern European Pool and Gym manager who didn't understand the concept of luxury spa and insisted most guests prefer a cold pool. My experience was most people got into it and got straight out shivering. A Luxury spa hotel, which The Hyatt is, requires a pool at a temperature for relaxing in, not a temperature which requires constant movement - that's if you have decided to brave it and go in deeper than your knees.
Relaxation..club room access well worth it
Staff very friendly. Lady in club room very attentive. Breakfast lots choice, lovely surroundings and again staff eager to please. Room shows signs age...but been comfy and aircon excellent. Pool area and spa reception area need some TLC.
An excellent hotel. Very friendly staff and a great location

Excellent service from staff, room clean. Fridge was convenient for storage of cold products.
