This Hyatt is always updated and modern throughout the years of staying here. Parking is great with the parking garage. The facilities are clean and everything functioned as needed.
Amazing river view from the room Loved the welcome drink as well, after a long day and driving it was appreciated. Staff was very friendly.
When booking this room through Expedia I was dooped into thinking the room I was reserving had a balcony. When I arrived at check-in I was extremely dissatisfied to find I was not getting what I “thought” I was getting. Unfortunately I was also unable to upgrade. This room was near the elevator and could hear people come and go and the room got hot through the night. There were other hotels near by that had a balcony and would have chose those if I knew I would be stuck with something I didn’t want.
Service was exceptional
Not worth the price, unfortunately.
This hotel stay was one that was full of pros and cons. I'll start with the more limited pros: -Our balcony and river view were awesome -Staff was friendly (front desk, housekeeping, and bellman) -Easy access to the trail that runs along the river right behind the hotel -Easy access to Congress St. bridge Now the cons: -When we booked their trip it said there was a Starbucks on site. Come to find out, it closed several months ago. -The layout of the hotel with the atrium style meant that the higher floors can hear the happenings of the lower floors and lobby at all hours... not great for when there was a giant conference happening at the hotel and folks partying until the wee hours. -The tap water had a very odd taste to it, that unfortunately can even be tasted when ordering coffee from the on-site market/coffee shop. -Pool was closed for construction... couldn't even access the pool deck. Not ideal for our stay with temps in the low to highs 80s. -Our wifi was super spotty and didn't work almost the entire time we stayed. It definitely would not connect long enough for us to use the Netflix or anything on the tv. -It was pricy! For all the cons, I'd say our stay was definitely not worth the price we paid. We essentially paid a premium for a river view, since we didn't get the Starbucks, a pool, or even working wifi during our trip. While we still enjoyed our trip for the most part, despite the cons related to the hotel stay, I likely would not stay at this hotel again.
Nicest
Very clean and awesome view
.
I was able to check in at 10am for only $4 more after arriving on the Vonlane. Perfect location for a traveler taking the vonlane to and from Austin! Rooms were exceptional as well!
Wonderful staff. Great view of Lady Bird Lake.
Dance Convention was super loud! Valet and front desk were wonderful!
Great hub for a weekend in Austin!

Okay location and Excellent views but isolated with bad food and unhealthy excessive junk food Was very crowded
Awfull
When we entered the room, we noticed someone was there before us and didn’t flush the toilet from a large #2 and there was urine on the floor and toilet seat.
Reception was rude
This is my 3rd stay at this property. It is a great place and we had an excellent room (1501) which overlooked the river and skyline. Only negative is there is not a lot around the property that easy to walk to especially during the freezing temps that we experienced. During the warmer months walking to restaurants and attractions is easier. This hotel is also excellent if you are traveling during the Bat viewing months as the bridges that the bat nest is right next to the hotel and the boat tours are also docked right outside the hotel.
The room we got was very humid and it smelled like mold
Its location next to the river, and walking distance to downtown and old market, made the hotel my favorite hotel to stay in for the last 8 years. Not to mention the professional staff. The valet and self parking however is expensive in my opinion.
Amazing view and comfort.
View and comfort was fabulous. Had a corner room with an amazing view on the 10th floor. Only downside, Windows had so much moisture on the inside we had to continually wipe them down.
Perfect location with great access to the city centre Lovely design and features
Good location for downtown firework celebration
Last minute choice for new year's eve to watch the fireworks without the hassle to have to drive back home after the celebrations. (Traffic was chaotic till at least 2:30am all around ) Ok stay, check in could be greatly improved, no info provided regarding amenities or special events. Later in the week we realized that there was a complimentary celebration in the restaurant lobby. Anyway, location was good, hotel parking can be pricey, so do your homework and you can find cheaper parking one block away
Love this property in Austin. We come to spend a week or so here every year and the location is perfect. The staff are all so friendly. It’s walkable and safe. It’s generally quiet but they host conventions around the holidays so that brings some noise but nothing unbearable. Still my favorite place to stay. And will definitely be back for the holidays this year.
This hotel is amazing! The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The staff’s customer service is excellent. I will definitely stay here again.
Walking trails to the park
Such an amazing experience with Mia who accommodated our needs and congratulated us on our recent marriage. Such a pleasant check in experience
Hotel MGMT needs to remember that they have job because of customers and take care of us when they make a mistake. Sadly, that was not the case during this stay at the Hyatt Regency in Austin. Do better.
Good customer experience.
Great location and walable area
Great
Perfect view to watch NYE fireworks
All you would expect from this chain.. clean and comfy rooms, safe and secure, .. excellent on communication too!..Ample amenities too!..
Perfectly located within safe, walkable distance to all Austin attractions, this hotel offers convenience and comfort for any traveler.
Quiet and comfortable
Check in easy as can be

Compared to other Hyatt Regency’s Austin is a bit old and tired. Still better than most hotels but old and tired none the less. Service was a let down. We got our own bags from the car and up to our room. We got in late so elected not to bother with room cleaning service next morning but didn’t see anyone the following day either so in the end we had a three night stay without any service in our room. No linen change, no bin emptying, nothing. When our car was blocked in by a bus the staff told us “that’s not their problem “. Location was great, parking charges ridiculous for somewhere where parking is available anywhere. Overall okay but expected more at the price.
Customer service was great
No empathy
Didn’t stay. Hotel refused to modify date for any reason!
Parking for self parking was extra high. It should be half that price.
We love our room, specially the view from our room.
It was everything amazing I will definitely be back
Nice views , close to the river, all the people in the hotel was nice
Everything
Valet parking extremely high
Very noisy unable to sleep in this location and I was on the 14th floor. They had some kind of event going on with people screaming all night long. Then first thing in the am I was woken up by a protest drum beat for hours. If you like sleeping don’t stay here.
no room service
Beautiful hotel! We had a great stay
Loved Loved loved being on the high floor overlooking the river.
Excellent
I booked a room with double beds and a balcony facing downtown for my daughter's 19th birthday. She and her friend loved it so much, the pool and hot tub overlooks downtown, and they had several other amenities. I was pleased when I walked into the room and they had chocolate covered strawberries with a little 'happy birthday' card for my daughter. I had asked for that in the notes section when I booked through hotels.com but failed to call ahead of time to see if they could accommodate that, but they saw my note and did it. I feel like the staff went above and beyond what other hotels do. I look forward to booking more staycations here.
Have been coming here for decades. Service was exceptional this time and they accommodated me and my family so easily as I have a broke foot and needed to be close to elevator.
Loved the hotel and the River view side, but valet parking was $69 per night (self park said to be $14 less). Likely will not go back solely due to the valet parking cost.
Quandry
I love the property and have stayed there many, many times over the past 20+ years. Staff is great, location amazing, cleanliness is wonderful and there's new carpet and some design improvements but the property (design/ architecture) is getting old. Not sure how to correct it but this is maybe the best location in Austin.
We typically stay here twice every year. It’s like an oasis. Exceptional service by the parking staff Jay and Chriss and the bar staff. Housekeeping and laundry service is fantastic. Front desk check-in this time not as welcoming and informative as usual but once we were at our room we experienced the same high quality as we have come to expect from this hotel.
Felt parking fee was too high.
OK
We enjoyed our time at Hyatt, we loved that we were so close to the lady bird lake, and downtown. The view from our room were so beautiful .
We love the rooms with patio
Rooms were spacious, well appointed & very clean. Considering it was a UT football game weekend as well as other activities in Austin during my stay, my room was quiet & peaceful. Would definitely recommend.
Very nice location rover front looking to the city, few step to walking trail, good restaurant on premise, love it.
Amazing views
Fantastic place to stay in Austin Texas. Great location and walking distance to everything. Highly recommended.
Everyone was so kind and helpful. And the sugar pearl waffles are amazing. Eat the breakfast buffet there. It's worth the money.
Pleasant friendly staff. I would like at least one soft pillow per bed. Pillows were large and firm. Also walls were thin - there was a young child crying quite a bit in the adjacent room. Perhaps try not to put very young children in rooms with connecting doors.
Great stay. Great views. Excellent customer service.
I called in before coming in they said I’m all set. When I actually arrived an hour later they said my room is not available and they will take me to another hotel and they’ll pay for it. The other hotel was on the highway and poor condition. Not sure how things like this can still happen.
Great river and skyline view
Great location
Nice big hotel on the river and it is an easy walk across either bridge into downtown Austin. Rooms are big, comfortable and quiet. Good TV. Nice coffee shop (a bit expensive) and the bar does what the bar should do. I didn't need much from the staff but they seemed efficient and friendly. The place was really well run. Would benefit from having more information about Austin available to those from out of town / state.
The jacuzzi was fantastic and view was spectacular 👌 😍
Really good
Excellent service and laid back hotel on the water. Walkable to downtown but chill spot to relax. Definitely recommend
Very clean hotel and not far from Congress and all the shopping. Very quiet.
Excellent view
Paper thin walls where you could here a baby cry and people talking. Very noisy place to stay and I would never recommend this hotel.
The Hyatt Regency Austin was a very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly, parking and check-in were super easy, the room was spacious and very clean, and the hotel offered many amenities. Would definitely stay again.
Great hotel highly recommended
We had a great stay - two rooms - service exceptional clean and great comfy beds - great food inside the hotel as well - always stay here for ACL
Great hotel. Location was safe and walkable to downtown, South Congress and was right on the walking trail. The gym was very clean and snacks, water and cold towels were provided. The pool area was clean with plenty of towels. Really enjoyed the river view room with balcony.
Our stay at the Hyatt was very last minute but the welcome staff made it easy and stress free. They were able to accommodate our early check in and late check out with no questions asked. If we are ever back in Austin we will be staying at the Hyatt.
Hreat
View of water was great
Great views of downtown
Very good staff and hospitality.
The staff was kind and attentive!
Great location, clean, and friendly and helpful staff!
Austin Summer 2024
Stay was nice. Parking is always extra.
Everything was perfect except the parking situation, expensive and maybe would be better if they validated parking for guest. Other than that it was an amazing experience!
Very nice hotel considering its age. Friendly staff and great customer service. Parking is a little expensive, but other than that, we had a great experience.
Everything was great considering the age of the hotel. Parking was expensive.
Great overall experience
It was awesomeness all in general. Loved this hotel 🏨 a lot
good for business
Beautiful hotel right on the river. Will definitely stay there again. Highly recommend!!
Overall it was ok just not worth the price. The balcony was not private like i saw online and the bugs were so bad that I couldnt enjoy it. The view was pretty but was not able to enjoy the balcony at all. Also on the 3rd floor (rooms with the balcony) Its noisy. The bar area gets loud even on weekdays and at 11pm could still hear them. Same thing with the boats outside. They played loud music and could hearvit in the room. The floors definitely need a deep cleaning. Staff was great.
Amazing
Bad experience at the reception when questioning why my room was not cleaned. Maria at reception said that there was no cleaning to rooms with stay under 3 nights ????? Can't believe that this is part of Hyatt
This hotel was perfectly located for South Congress Ave and for watching the bats fly from the bridge. We were welcomed with a cold glass of local beer which was a lovely touch. The room was large and clean and beds were comfy. We did eat here in the evening and weren’t very impressed with the food. Even the flatbread was burnt. Otherwise a pleasant place to stay though.
Great hotel

The best thing this place has going for it is its location, and that is it. It is over priced for what you get. The rooms are small with a very cramped entryway, The location is excellent.
