Will not stay there again

The only problem we had elevators not working properly only one was working we were in room 203 i cannot use stairs i have medical condition we would have to wait long time whenever we needed to use it otherwise everything else was good front desk girl her name is maura very hard workeŕ and nice

Elevators need some serious work.

Mole on the big white comforter

One of the elevator was out of service, the room was okay the big white comforter on the beds had mole all inside. Didn’t make a complaint because I didn’t want drama, so took it out and place it by the door for the cleaning staff to take it. But the next day it was back on the bed. Took it out of the bed again. They have to order new one’s. Please check the covers before placing them on the beds.

Staff were very friendly at check in. We did wait quite awhile to receive additional shower towels (only had 2 for 4 guests originally). Breakfast was good with extremely limited seated. Ended up in the hallway on a bench. One elevator was out of service during our stay and the other one broke in the morning, which made checking out from our 5th floor room a pain. Rooms were clean and modern, gym and pool were also nice.

Sink was not clean. Room was slightly dirty. Hotel staff changed the room.

It sucked the staff accused me of smoking in my room and I don't even smoke my guest did but she went outside every time and it call us to me $250 I would never stay there again

We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was great. There was an issue with the wind whistling through our window but maintenance was able to fix it for us.

We had a great stay at the Hyatt Place! Our room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and always helpful. They responded quickly with any and all requests we had! Even though the hotel was completely booked and our room was next to the elevator our stay was quiet. The daily happy hour was nice. Breakfast could use a few more options and seating area but was otherwise ok. We would definitely consider staying here again.

It was a great experience

In the morning i checked the policy for the hotel and saw that we must be 21 or older, but the person who was checking in for us was only 18. So i decided to call and ask if we were still able to check into the hotel. When i got to talk to the hotel staff a lady told me that we would be fine checking in if we were 18. She even explained how and what we needed in order to check in. When we got to the hotel hours later we were informed that we’d have to be 21 in order to check into our room. I tried explaining to the front office that we were told by the hotel front desk in the morning how we could be 18 and still check in but it was a different staff member and she had no clue about our situation. I didn’t even get a refund. I demand a refund for this misguided situation me and my friend had to go through and all the stress we had to deal with during our trip.

Good job with the renovation! The things that were done well the last time we stayed here are still being done well, so nothing was lost and only gained. It was a pleasant stay.

Best stay

Went for a weekend of fun with the family. Loved the idea of being able to stay 6 people per room. We were a group of 10 and didn't have to rent 3 rooms. Loved the idea!!!

Nice hotel, quiet night, comfortable bedding, and love that the tv was adjustable to every angle in the room. The only thing I did not like was that the restroom sink was outside of the toilet room and right in front of the beds where my little kids were sleeping, we just had to be super quiet washing our hands.

Worst part of this hotel is the management ( general manager Stephany) We had problems with mold in the bathrooms, housekeeping does a horrible job at cleaning the rooms, breakfast was not good, they entered your room without permission when your do not disturb sign is on, they never have anyone in the evening and at night to run things you might need to your room, ac doesn’t work, they don’t change the bedding. The bedding was dirty and the phones don’t work in the bedroom. Also very noisy can’t sleep. We had to change rooms 4 times and all rooms are the same. We brought all this to the front desk and the general manager Stephany and she didn’t care, nor offered to do anything to fix anything. Please don’t stay here you will hate it.

Clean rooms and everything is under a 15 min. drive, including the San Antonio Riverwalk.

Perfect location. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast could be a little better. Maybe add a few waffle makers and give more options like pancakes. The french toast sticks were pretty much hard as a rock.

Rooms were spacious however did not care for all the noise in the hallway. Staff was not mindful of guests still sleeping early in the morning, defeats the purpose of a noon check out. I was also called late at night on check out day to see if I was still in the property. I rented 3 rooms and all were checked out before noon. Front desk clerk was not attentive and carried on with her conversation with another staff member so I am sure she missed I was checking out 3 rooms.

The hotel is very dirty and neglected, they didn't clean the room. The hotel has a good location.

Great place

Area was quiet, very well lit. The staff were very friendly and helpful, including the housekeeping staff. What I did not like were the prices for soft drinks and water. Bought two of each and came out to $14.00. I know about marking things up but that is ridiculous.

Spacious room

There was a large blood stain on my mattress. It was disgusting and I noticed it in the morning. I did not get time to report and send my pictures and videos to the public health sanitation yet.

We love to stay here, and is doing renovations but rooms are clean. The new room formatting is very nice. I’d just ask for a microwave in the rooms, larger trash cans (we had only one teeny one in room area and small one in restroom. In a room that fits 4-6 …the larger trash can or more of the teeny ones are needed. Lastly, the have new pull cord shades, but they do not keep out Sun like the room darkening heavy curtains, which was a major issue since the sun shines BRIGHT in Texas, so dark out curtains are a must…hope they were still in the process of adding these to the rooms.

Breakfast was good, beds were comfy. Great place to stay.

Staff was so nice and courteous! They were still having elevator repairs which caused huge delays. Only one was working and it was very slow. Please make sure if you ever have food to have it sealed as we had a muffin left in a closed box and hundreds of ants found it within a few hours we left on the counter by the fridge. Room was clean and spacious but the walls were thin as could hear others around us.

It was fine. Our bathroom didn’t work, the shower was clogged and we couldn’t shower! The rest was ok. Good breakfast.

It was OK it's just that only 1 elevator worked and went incredibly slow. Gym was being "renovated" but nothing was being moved in or out. I'm saying I believe it was a lie.

Overall a great, newly renovated property. Clean, spacious rooms. No issue with the room. However, we have stayed at many Hyatt Place properties and their breakfast was the main reason we chose Hyatt over some other competitors. Sadly this Hyatt was disappointing. They used paper plates and the selection was poor. Definitely wish they would do a bit better about that.

It was horrible I go out have a few drinks with my friends I come back to the room next day I leave and get charged 250$ fee for one I never did smoke anything in my room yall terrible people goes off of smell only because I was out clubbing yall said I smoke and that is a negative horrible place and horrible breakfast

Comfortable hotel near food

Stayed with my family so I could access some of the great restaurants and supermarkets in the area (HEB, Pasha, etc). The room was pretty big, huge tv, very clean, there was a small fridge, the girls in reception were super nice and welcoming. Riverwalk was an $18 uber. Very affordable hotel

Stained bed

The bed had a big brown stain. Notified front desk and he gave us 2 options-one to walk downstairs and get new sheets or he could switch rooms for us. Unfortunately we didn’t check the beds as soon as we had arrived and we had already settled in due to an event that we had nearby. Once we arrived back we were tired with the traveling involved. We agreed to keep the room and add a couple of new sheets on top. He let us know management could apply a discount and for me to email them but I never received a response nor a discount.

I would not stay here again

Reasonably priced but that limits positives. The room was a king bed with a pull out couch but the desk needed to be moved in order for the bed to fully extend. There were no pillows or blankets for the pull out couch. The phone didn’t work and neither did the clock. There was only one elevator working, so between the hotel staff and the guests sharing just one elevator, wait times were significant, plus the refrigerator only cooled on one side. The website advised the king bed with a pull out couch sleeps 4, but comfortably there is only enough room for two. I was charged a deposit of one night upon booking. When I checked in, I was charged for both nights plus $15 in incidentals, even thought my balance was just for the remaining night. When I inquired at the front desk at check out, I was told the price I was charged at check in is due to my booking through Hotels.com.

The couch

The property's breakfast area and check in areas were exceptional. The rooms are not what they were. The restroom reeked of tobacco smoke. It was a restless stay. Where you eat, they had old large round tables. The old wood looking tables and fold out tables. I thought maybe because of ongoing renovation. The lady in the front said that there was no renovation. Very disappointed in my family's stay.

Mayra front costumer service representative provided excellent customer service at all time. Making my family and I welcome, as she had a great attitude and smile. She is a great asset to the hotel.

Not so good a hotel

The rooms were not clean, only one lift was working . The paint in the bathroom door was all withered. The breakfast area was small. Overall not a good experience.

Cold

The a/c was noisy and the room was cold. The breakfast was cold as well.

This hotel was under renovation, so some of it was understandable. However, our room had chunks of paint missing even though it was considered remodeled. There was an academic event happening near by so the hotel was booked. This put us on the first floor. We could hear everything happening in the lobby which wasn't fun early in the morning. Also, there was a very bright light on the ground that lit up part of the hotel on the outside. That was frustrating being on the group right next to a light that shined into our window when we were trying to sleep. Breakfast was okay. I have definitely had better hotel breakfasts. I don't think we will be going back.

The bed was super comfortable. We slept very well. The layout was not so good but the bed made up for it. Thank you very much.

Friendly Staff !!!

Only 1 elevator was working, entrance to hotel front doors were not working so did not close the entirety of the stay, bathroom floor, tub, toilet and bedside tables were dirty. Shower did not drain properly and would be soaking in nasty tub water when showering. And the night desk attendant had someone guard the hotel in a black mustang and it scared the crap out of my friend and I both because this man first stopped right in front of our car as we were getting out of it without saying anything to us. He then started circling the bulding. This man was in normal clothing so it seems he was only an acquaintance of the night attendant and didnt work for the hotel. When we told her about the creepy guy circling the building, she just said it was “her sercurity” with no other explanation even though we were obviously freaked out. I will not be staying at this Hyatt in the future.

Medical Center - Hyatt Place

Our company had meetings in the medical district. Hyatt Place was the perfect location.

Rooms were clean and comfy. Only reasons I’m giving them a 1 star is are the following. Elevadores only one working took us like 36 min just to get the elevator since they only have 1 working. 2nd my car was broken in to, and I wasn’t the only car get broken into. This place is not safe for your vehicles. Be careful with your cars. Had to get police report just for my insurance to be able to fix the damages made to my truck. It cheap to stay but you run the luck of getting your car broken into. Since they said it’s been and issue they have lately there.

Everything was good with the exception of the floors, they were dirty.

The person checking us in was so helpful and attentive. He knew we would need extra blankets and towels. The linens and towels were cripst white. Bed was clean but shower was dirty with hairs in the tub. The room was an awesome size. The elevator took a long time to get us downstairs in then morning and they were remodeling all over which caused the overall look to be not visually appealing. Breakfast was good and warm. Parking lot seemed safe. Would like filtered water instead of the tap one available. Overall stay was good might consider staying again.

Ir was ok

This hotel is undergoing construction so… throw your Hyatt Place expectations out the window when booking… it’s not up to par. I was disappointed at the amenities, forced late check-in due to no rooms available (there was a lobby full of people waiting for rooms at 4 pm when check-in was at 3 pm), and the lackluster breakfast. I feel like if they can’t run the hotel to the same standards while doing construction then just close up until completed.

Didn’t feel clean

Just not a good place to stay, my wife look at the pictures on the website and looks ok but in person, it's another story, that is false advertising!!! For the price?? Wow NOT worth it.

Definitely not Hyatt standard

The only thing good with this hotel is the location. Otherwise didn't live up to my expectations. The room was not comfortable. The pillows were flat as ever. The sink was infront of the bed, horribly placed. The breakfast was cold and didn't have variety. The breakfast was not upto Hyatt standards. With 5 floors, not enough space for guest to eat breakfast. Most of us waited over 10 min for getting space to sit. This is the first time I got charged $15 for incidentals which they promised it will be refunded. I understand if they had a mini bar in the room but nothing of the sort for securing funds for incidentals.

Great pool size, depth range from 3 to 6 feet.

Elevator down

we usually stay here most of the time while in San Antonio. However, this time the elevators were down. Which was an inconvenience since I had a broken foot. I had to be help down the stairs from the 4th floor. It would have been helpful to know prior to arrival, we could have asked for a 1st level room

Had a great stay. Only problem was the elevators one was getting redone so only had one elevator in service. But other than that a great stay.

Just ok.

Room was clean and beds were average but this hotel is undergoing renovations so there was only one elevator and it was a long wait, plus it sounded and looked like it was going to stop working any minute. The renovations seem hasty and not well done - at first glance the room was fine but the bathroom door paint was already chipping quite a bit, the new towel holder was falling out of the wall, the new faucet hits the mirror when you turn on the water. The hallways are in dire need of renovation, but hopefully they slow down and do a better job. There were only 2 towels in a room for 6 people so I had to go get more. No linens for the pull out bed so I had to go get them. No towels at the pool - had to ask. Breakfast was disappointing - eggs and sausage were not good. Would have loved more fruit or some yogurt. The woman in charge of breakfast was very kind though. Overall it was not as nice as expected but it was at least clean and comfortable enough for a one night stay.

Poor Service

For such a large Hotel, only 1 elevator was working which was a big inconvenience. The food was also terrible, all the cereals were stale. The eggs and sausage were cold. My room was also dirty, stained sheets and hair in my shower.
