it is a terrible hotel. they don’t clean the rooms unless you stay for 4 days. the elevator is broken and they don’t plan to fix it. the motel 6 next door would have been better
if you want clean sheets, clean rooms, a working elevator, and nice staff, don’t stay here. the morel 6 next door would have been better.
Room size is very good. breakfast not bad but breakfast area little too small not enough space for all guests.
Our first room had a broken fridge, one of the elevators was out of service when we arrived, by the end of our stay the other elevator was out of service and the stairs the only option for access to and from room.
Our stay was great, rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Great experience
L
Good location for where i needed to be
Final Price to good Too be TRUE
Don't expect the final price to be final, there's always an add on amount or you can't stay!
It was very good to have gated parking. Room was very spacious and clean. Comfortable beds.
It was clean and had an excellent location for our needs. The breakfasts were tasty and plentiful. The staff was very courteous and helpful.
Great stay, good breakfast, quite to an extent, lot of food/shopping options.
Elevator takes forever
The staff was amazing. Super friendly. The elevator was a bit sketchy. Only 1 seemed to work and the one working needed work. We took the stairs mostly from the sixth floor. I would love to give high praise to the staff. They were very attentive.
Everything is good.
Recent stay
Damian checked me and my friend was amazing and at providing all the details very friendly and the kitchen staff was also very helpful. But we absolutely loved Damian!
Breakfast was great. Convenient parking (did not have to pay).
Price was okay and hotel for the most part was clean and felt safe. However the hallway smelled like cat urine.
It was a very clean room with very comfortable beds. Our room was conjoined with the room next door which happened to be my Sister and neither in law so it felt even bigger. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
The noise! I could not handle the noise from the hwy. I was to stay 9 nights for a business trip, left after 1 night. I also has ants in my room no thanks checked out next day.
Woke up with a cockroach crawling on the floor. Disgusting.
not bad
Room was very large, clean and meet our needs.
I'll keep this hotel in mind every time I travel to Dallas!
Loved the room
It was nice lodging there.
The staff at the front desk were very friendly. I’m not a breakfast person so I can’t comment on the breakfast but the chocolate chip cookies were awesome
Great service, wonderful staff, beautiful rooms.
Clean room with great location.
My family enjoyed the spacious room and the comfortability.
This place is beautiful and clean. We love it. Gated parking. Beautiful facility.
Not too bad. Not too good.
Pretty average stay, the only complaint was cleaning staff visiting around 2-3 pm, when I needed to relax. My room was skipped on 2 out of 4 days. Morning breakfast has some good options, everything was sugary. It’s too farm from downtown Dallas - not worth saving on a far off hotel.
I thought the staff were professional and friendly. The noise from the freeway was excessive and impacted my ability to sleep.
We were disappointed with what we arrived to. The hotel was nothing like the photos, the staff who checked us in had no customer service skills, room smelled & felt grose, one elevator didn't work & the one that worked didn't have any paper demonstrating it passed inspection or have any kind of documentation for capacity & the display for the floor was duct taped on, elevator seemed to be on the verge of being out of order, the pool had mold that was black & floating on the top. I had stayed at a Hyatt Place before & this was nothing like I've experienced before & I will make sure to avoid Hyatt Place in future travels.
This is a decent hotel. The breakfast is pretty good too. I was a little upset that there wasn’t a microwave in the room. You have to go down stairs to heat your food up. I don’t think hotels think about how inconvenient that is. The gym is super basic and only has cardio machines. I wanted to give this hotel a higher rating but on my last day TWO housekeepers walk in on us, one knocked and didn’t even wait for a response before walking in and the other lady just walked right in. It was still about 11am and checkout isn’t until noon. We could have been undressed or worse! I spoke to the lady at the front desk about this and her response was, “are you sure they didn’t knock and maybe heard you say something.” First of all, it doesn’t matter, don’t come in my room unless I grant you permission.
Great location, stayed here several times and always has issues, elevator was not working, no hot water, A/C didnt work.
The property was very clean and the staff were very nice. The continental breakfast options were great. Parking was easy with some parking up front and then gated parking in the back. The only issues we had were a few small quality issues in our room. The bed was on a rolling metal frame and was very squeaky, and the bathroom outlet was loose in the wall, I had to pin it to the wall when I unplugged things. But other than that there were no other issues and we enjoyed our stay.
The room was nice. But the POOL?! The pool needs to be cleaned, remodeled or something. There was only ONE working elevator that took FOREVER!
Nice room. Nice area good restaurants near by.
Great guest care and attention!
Great location and very clean.
My children and I spent one night and we enjoyed our room. It was spacious and very quiet. The staff were friendly enough except the breakfast lady that was, she was a bit highstrong. The breakfast was a little lacking (gravy biscuits, scramble eggs, muffins, toast, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt etc). The elevator did not work so we had to use the stairs, it was a workout with all of our things. Thank God he gave us a room on the 2nd floor. The pool definitely needs to be cleaned of drained either way its dirty.
The The
Below expectations. Elevator broken, electrical outlet not working although the staff said they would fix it, and pool was very dirty.
I was slightly disappointed with my stay compared to other stays with Hyatt. The elevator was down during our entire stay. It said it was a temporary thing but looking at reviews it has been down for at least a month. Our room was decent but not exactly as pictured. Our friends room reeked of weed. Our shower would not drain properly so we couldn’t shower for long periods of time without it overflowing. Breakfast was average, but decent. I felt like things advertised were just not present, such as food service at night. Overall just not the same experience I have had in the past and definitely would not return.
Elevators were not working.
It's not an awful hotel, but the Elevator was broken and they didn't tell anyone checking in until the last second...a heads up would have been better. We were traveling with 5 children and they only offered a room on the top floor, making us use the stairs all the way up. It was later in the day and we had little other options to look into and we were all exhausted. The staff were present, but I wouldn't say they were extremely accommodating. It felt very "upscale Motel 6-ish", but maybe that's what a Hyatt Place is and what one should expect.
Easy in and out travels.
Guy at front desk was nice. He apologized for the elevator being out.
Once upon arrival the front desk person was a lil busy on a call but a lady walk and assist and everything went smoothly love the team work
The pool was very dirty with mold and algae, very neglected. The elevator was not working and we had to go up to the 3rd level via the emergency stairs, with our luggage.
Elevators were down the entire stay! I fell due to water being left on the stairs. Submitted an incident report and never heard anything back. There was loud music being played in the parking lot at 1 am when I checked in. This was a horrible experience. Only thing I was offered was $50 off which I have yet to receive.
Nice
.
Could not stay at the property. Elevator was out of order. No available rooms on the first floor. My husband is elderly and handicapped and cannot climb stairs. I have requested a refund.
Pre- medical stay
Pr-medical stay, looking for peace and quiet. Perfect!
A good deal. Nice rooms.
I feel for the price I paid I could have better housekeeping service. After 2 days I had to go to the front desk and ask for fresh towels and more coffee packets in the room. The next day my room had been cleaned however, I did not receive anymore coffee packets, the coffee cups were dirty and there was trash on the floor.
There was no hot water so we did not checked in. It seems like the hyatt brand went down the drain.
Ruined my family reunion weekend
One elevator was not working and the other one was super slow an kept hesitating on the 3rd floor. I was there from Thursday to Sunday and had no hot water period. I had to eithee take a cold shower oe ro a family members room at the Embassy to shower. I was told no one could compensate me for the inconvenience unless I contacted Hotels.com. I searched for a half a day and still couldn't find information to contact a customer service representative about my horrible weekend. If anyone knows a way to contact Hotels.com please let me know. My first time staying at a Hyatt hotel was horrible.
The elevator didin't work properly and we didn't have hot water for all our stay. They send the briefing one day before we were going to leave.
Put in a handicap room with no microwave. I did not request this room and needed a microwave. The blinds in the room were broken, so we had light coming in all night. The hotel in general is ver run down and needs to be remodeled.
The hot water was turned off due to ongoing rennovations and only 1 elevator worked and did break down at least once while I was there. I had to walk up 5 flights of stairs.
This was a business trip. Upon check-in the staff was attentive and friendly. Safe and easy to park car in gated lot. Only one elevator working. Room was on the street side and I’m not a light sleeper, but someone who is, would not enjoy the ambulances and cop sirens. A/C nice and cold. Room with King size bed very spacious and comfortable. The additional room with couch and TV area along with desk was nice. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. The dining area was clean and attended to. The picture of the pool is deceiving. It looks like it’s almost quiet and serene. Wrong. I think the trees in the far background were photoshopped, bc there’s obviously a busy highway missing in the picture. Overall great stay and happy with my choice.
Staff was amazing and friendly. Only complaint is the people who race their cars along the highway beside the hotel at 4 a.m.
The staff was very friendly, and our room for the most part of nice. My only complaint was that they had 2 elevators, 1 was out of order and the other was barely working. I was on the 6th floor, and when we went up, it stopped at every single floor and would slightly open and then close. It was really scary lol and we ended up just going up and down the stairs for the remainder of our stay.
Very clean place and friendly staff.
Our stay was very comfortable. I noticed the hotel is exceptionally clean. It's an older hotel but it's kept clean, that I can say for sure.
Renovations happening and dirty dirty property!!! I accidentally booked this hotel for business travel. I typically stay at the Westin. This place was nasty. One elevator for staff and guests.
the staff was absolutely amazing, not very clear with the instructions of check in and everything though. i was not told at check in that i had to request to have my room cleaned, so i sat for 3 days in a dirty room wondering when it was my turn. and the $15 dollar fee for each day was also a surprise to me when i checked on the website to see if there was a fee and i wasn’t told until after my card was swiped. other than that my experience was good the front desk and cleaners were super sweet just felt like i was being blind sided with the fee.
The room was clean and in good condition.
Great service
Was inexpensive for a reason
Pool was in terrible shape. Only had 1 very slow elevator working. The other I was told has been broken for a year now.
I wasn't pleased that only 1 elevator was working & the one that was working was extremely slow with man made carvings ( Very Old Elevator), my room was on the 4th floor and had to go to 5th floor to get ice & there isn't daily housekeeping, you have to ask for clean towels and sheets and change the sheets yourself and speak spanish.
3 star property. The pool was cloudy and concerning. Ice machine only worked on one floor. Reception was rude when I reminded them I asked for room service. We stayed there 5 nights and asked for cleaning 2 times. It was only done once. We had to take out our own trash and request towels.
Property was easy to access, clean with friendly staff. Breakfast was lacking, watery instant eggs and the coffee ran out often. Hotel upgrades in progress left 1 of 2 elevators available and the construction was above my room, 422. 730-800 noise while on vacation is terrible. Couldn't get a printed receipt at checkout.
Road noise, great staff
Room and service was great! Road noise was a little loud.
Great value!
Room was good size , clean. Breakfast was very good. Different menu daily. Great location. (Across the street from Costco) . Easy access to highways. Friendly staff.
Room was very spacious and nice update. Bed wasn’t too comfortable.
Renovations of the common areas were ongoing. Walking through the lobby was a narrow path. Half of the breakfast area was roped off.
Under renovation construction
We had to book this at the last minute so it wasn’t our first choice at all. It’s undergoing renovations so the front drive wasn’t usable and the elevator went out while we were carrying our luggage down. Our next door neighbors were noisy and the location is in a bad area for walking and the local DART station is so sketch the downtown homeless guys warned us not to hang around there when they heard us saying what station we were going to. Also there was a blood stain on one of the bedspreads, but it was tiny and I’m sure someone overlooked it. The staff more than made up for it; they were amazing and kind and professional and really took care of us. I love Hyatt for that reason.
Door to adjacent room was thin and we were able to hear the neighboring room conversation past midnight. Additionally, for the size of the room, 2 queen beds, a separate sitting area with a couch, the bathroom was extremely small. You could barely open and close the door without maneuvering around the toilet. Seems like a poor use of space.
Under construction delivering the goods
The Hyatt Plaza is under some face lifting. Yet, the care for the customer is maintained. Clean, caring for customers, and convenient.
Needs big maintenance changed
Room weren’t cleaned and had several maintenance issues Will not be returning there again
Loved the upgrades. GREAT SPACIOUS ROOM!!!! REALLY nice hotel staff.
Upon entry, we were met with yellow tape and construction vehicles. It would have been nice to know if there was remodeling happening because this limits the full experience of the hotel..i.e pool being closed. So we got passed that. When we got to our room we noticed there were only sheets on the bed..NO blankets! I called the front desk and asked for 4, because we had 5 people in our party and we were in a suite. I was told there maybe some he would check. When I called back down 30 min later to get a status, I was told they have only 1. I asked for sheets for the pullout and was told he would bring them up. When he came up to the room, he saw that there were no blankets and he apologized for there not being any, and that the blanket (which was thin as the sheets) are usually under the sheet. The blanket he brought up and two of the sheets had holes in them. I was totally in disbelief that I was at the Hyatt with sheets with holes in them.
Ongoing renovation and nothing is working inside the building. Breakfast is great but too crowded, and the tables are small and lounge chairs are too large to sit down and eat! What are they thinking of? One elevator working for the whole hotel! Ridiculous. I am kind of angry to had paid that price for my stay.
Good
Disappointing
The hotel was a huge disappointment. I wasn't expecting a resort, but I was looking forward to hanging by the pool. The pool was closed, and construction debris was everywhere. One of the two elevators was broken. The "business center" was out of service. The best part of the stay was the cookies. Beyond that, it sucked.
Highly Disappointed Stay
Elevator was out most of stay, Wifi was spotty…there were stains on bedding and towels…room was not clean, there was hair on floor and bathroom.
Property is under construction nothing work
Don’t stay here
The elevator was very disturbing then on my second day it broke completely. I’m on the 5th floor to add to this problem. The room was not clean at all needs better maids. The service is another horrible story. I requested a later check out and was told i have it by the front desk but the maids kept coming to my room. Better communication with all staff is something they lack. As i finish checking out and walking out the door i was called by the manager asking am i checking out. Get off your butt and walk out or check the system and you would see i just checked out. I’ve stayed at a Hyatt before and this is a bottom of the barrel. Needs to be compared to a super 8 or motel 6.
When I stayed here, they had LOUD, construction going on all day. I did not know this was going to be taking place when I booked the hotel. I wasn't informed until I made it to the hotel. The pool was closed. They were painting the hotel exterior messily, paint ended up on multiple different cars in their lot to park. (including my rental car)
If you have to be in Dallas, it ok
Great Stay Dallas
Great place to stay. Easy access to the freeway. It is about 20 mins north of Downtown Dallas. So driving will be needed. Costco is across the street. Highly recommend.
Very clean and safe
In town for the eclipse.
I stay at Hyatt Place locations where / when available. I like the standard across locations, so I know what to expect. Second time at this location. While under renovation, the place remains clean. Nice hot shower. Nice and clean breakfast area. Room was clean. Tub spout and shower head covers were exposing pipes, but did not affect the nice hot water. In town for the solar eclipse, I can see other families with kids, for a Monday, probably in town for the same reason. Staff at check-in and check-out were attentive to us.
Good size rooms, everything is clean and nice. The breakfast was standard but good. Only issue is that 1 of the elevators was broken and the other one was super slow and old. You can definitely tell it needs renovation because it would shake whenever it stopped at a floor.
It was a nice atmosphere construction going on but did not bother us .
Enjoyed my stay, no complaints
I booked this room for New Year's Eve to attend a party that was down the road and it was nice, Roomy, clean, and bed was very comfortable. Only thing that scared me was the elevator. Felt like it was on its last leg. Almost thought I wasn't going to make it to my floor, or any floor.
