Very Pleased with Our Stay
Very quick response from front desk staff, when needed. Many breakfast options. The barista makes great coffee.
Could be more quiet
The staff was pleasant, room was fine. Kind of a no frills hotel in a good location. However, it was noisy (both inside and out).
Very nice and clean. Breakfast was great! I traveled with a dog so that was my only issue the small dog area for her to go. Other than that a great stay and recommend. Close to everything.
Decent hotel. Quiet and clean. Needs an upgrade though
Definitely recommend this hotel
It was one of the best hotels we stayed at, it was very clean, quiet, breakfast was delicious, staff was friendly. I would recommend this hotel for sure
Reception was very sweet and friendly
1st stay
This was a fantastic stay, staff veey helpful, room was awesome
Room was clean, modern. Good breakfast.
It's only 12 minutes driving from the Domain.
Amazing service, cleanliness and customer service. Great Breakfast. One of the best experiences in a pass-through hotel stay. Give the manager, and support staff a raise.
The room did not have a remote for television. You have to log on through your phone and I kept receiving an error message. This was extremely disappointing
Good stay, nice room, comfy bed and clean
Let me start by saying that we will definitely stay at this hotel again if we find ourselves back in Austin. The things that we really liked about it were location which was central to all the places we wanted to visit. We also liked how clean the facility was and also the layout and the size of our room was wonderful. Having said all of that, there are opportunities for them to improve a few things for the next visit. Our shower had an extremely limited range of water temperatures which seemed odd to me. There was no ability to make the water cooler so if you had small children you would not be able to shower them in our shower which was room 411. The pool was very nice but I felt so sorry for the maintenance guy because whoever designed the hotel planted deciduous trees around the pool which meant there was a constant flow of dead leaves and things off of the trees, making it impossible for maintenance to keep the pool clean 24 hours a day. I do not see that as a failing of maintenance but rather a failing of the architect who planned the facility. According to the maintenance man, that is all governed by the arboretum and so the facility has no ability to cut the trees back or down. We did not use the free breakfast opportunity but it looked delicious. The only last thing is that the king size bed we had was a little saggy in the middle which forced me to sleep on the edge to be comfortable, but it wasn't bothersome enough to request a different room. Stay here!
Great
It was a nice stay the showers just need updating as myself and my friend both slipped in the shower. Other than that it was a good stay.
It was nice
It was a family environment
The property was very well taken care of i did notice the pool need to be clean but it was also raining while I was there so I did't expect it to be perfect. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and floor was very quite.
Easy to get to and clean. Everyone was professional.
I loved all of the amenities that the hotel had, and it was close to the main highway so getting around to restaurants and other scenic sites was easy.
Do not choose this place !!
Please do no stay here if you have a truck or luxury vehicle bc it will get broken into . Also if you do decide to stay here do not park in the back bc the hotel does not cover the back parking lot with cameras , so anything that happens to you there goes unnoticed. Managers do not care if your property is broken into or stolen they say it happens all the time unfortunately, a heads up would of been nice . There are signs that say do not leave your belongings inside, which we followed and still had out truck broken into but not the managers (right next to ours ). Overall the room was nice !
Great stay
Everything we needed in a room. The only concern was the refrigerator not keeping drinks cold.
Rooms were large with clean linens and surfaces, however between the breakfast area and friends rooms I saw 4 cockroaches in my time here. Additionally, I was charged over twice the price of my stay and this has not been refunded almost a week later and is still marked as pending in my account. The staff were very friendly however didn’t seem to understand the payment system very well and were unable to sort my payment issues themselves leaving me with very little money in the account I use for travel.
Clean. breakfast good. It is pet friendly so I saw many with their dogs. However there was no microwave in my room which was dissapointing since my reservation details stayed otherwise. Had to go use the microwave in kitchen area and it was small and with my large fam of 6 it was very inconvenient.
All good
Attentive friendly front desk staff
Perfect place to stay in Austin!
Will stay again
First time at the Hyatt - great comfortable stay!
Really liked the room layout with the semi-separated seating area.
Had a nice stay!
The staff were extremely rude and unpleasant. The room could have been cleaner.
This is one of my favorite places to stay when I’m in Austin visiting kids and grandkids or for appointments. Feels safe, always clean, nice staff, good breakfast, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Just wish they would add a magnifying mirror to the bathroom area !
Quick trip to AUS
Stay was fine. The elevator could use some work. It's jarring and slow. To catch my Uber I decided to bail on the elevator and use the emergency exit stairwell.
This is the second time we stay at this hotel, we like the location, the cleanliness, ability to parking, and breakfast was good.
This hotel and the staff were beyond amazing!
Quiet comfort
Friendly staff and cleaning crew. Very quiet, beds are comfortable. The only issue is the shower head, but that’s ok.
It's a nice hotel, especially for the price. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was nice. Breakfast? Very average. Downside: No room safe. I had to carry my meds with me in my purse around Austin rather than put them in a safe. Also had to leave our 3 large iPads out. We opted for no housekeeping all 3 days so no one came in our room.Shouldn't have to do that. We had double queen beds. The only outlet to plug into by the beds was through a plug in adapter on the night stand. Not functional for our needs. I needed a heating pad which should be plugged in directly to the wall. Seemed unsafe but no other option. My husband and I each were watching a play-off game on our iPads and needed to keep them plugged in which also nixed using the heating pad. So, an outlet in the wall was missing. Strange, I thought. When checking my emails in the morning, internet in the room was somewhat slow. None of the photos in my emails showed automatically. Maybe correctable but I'm a 73 year old woman and didn't know how. Never had this issue when staying in a hotel. So those are the negatives. If these things aren't an issue for some, it's a great place to stay. Starbucks in the hotel for a morning latte was very nice to have. The pool and patio area was good.
For Austin, this is a decent hotel at a decent price. Location is very convenient to shopping and Mopac gets you anywhere in Austin pretty quickly
Great value and comfort
Fantastic value for the price. Very comfortable bed, sheets, towels. Friendly, capable staff. The breakfast buffet had gluten-free bagels - that's a 1st for me with these types of buffets. Much appreciated
It was a totally nice Hyatt. The only issue was that it was pretty far out with nothing around it. I thought that the "arboretum" hotel might be near an arboretum. I should have recognized that in Texas an arboretum is a mall. It's in the middle of nowhere outside of town. Otherwise it's totally fine.
We sleep well
Staff were excellent.
It was great
It was nice and clean, it seemed pretty quiet couldn't hear through walls or anything like that. A/C seemed to work just fine. I especially liked the shampoo that was provided. I look forward to staying again. Thanks💯
I love it
Great customer service, nice rooms. :)
Very Good Hotel
Remodeling was going on while we were there but it was very clean and updated nicely. Beds and pillows super comfy. We only stayed one night but would definitely go back if needed to.
Quality Hotel with Quality Opportunities for Good
Ms. Anastasia and her colleagues made it happen. She allowed me to upgrade the room in records time. Moreover, Hyatt Place is very considerate with their staff. First they let every guest have breakfast--even if its a few minutes past breakfast hours. Second, they are food-conscious. During our two day stay, I saw staff enjoy the breakfast left-overs. It was refreshing to see a quality hotel have quality opportunities to improve moral and save the planet.
3M Half marathon weekend
Hotel is renovating so smell of paint is heavy. You will hear banging and drilling in the daytime, and only one elevator is available. The AC makes noise, so light sleeper beware. Otherwise it’s a good stay and breakfast was extended by 60 min due to runners returning from race. Staff is very friendly.
it was perfect for us
The rooms are extremely outdated and just old furniture(cool for 30 seconds to feel like your back in 1995). They look nothing like the photos. Better off staying at a motel lol. Don’t let their sign in the lobby fool you about renovations, these rooms are outdated by 20 years now can’t believe Hyatt allows franchise’s to do this.
No complaints - the room was great and the location was quiet and seemed safe.
Easy checking. Even though there's renovations going, it's not noticeable. Mattresses a little lumpy but overall it was good.
Very nice rooms. Great breakfast. Construction noise was a little annoying.
Very comfortable and clean
The property and service was not bad, although the images for the property looked nice, it was a completely different experience than expected. Outdated, shower did not seem very clean, the elevator was extremely slow. And parking was not convenient. The expectation on Expedia vs the reality was not the same. Its not a bad hotel. But for pricing comparison to other upperscale hotels is not the right value. I believe i had too high of expectations compared to the other options i looked at before my trip.
Amazing place to stay
Room comforting
Our room was comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was just enough and really good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!
Check in was good and property is clean and well kept. Breakfast had great variety- eggs, bacon, fresh fruits, asst cereals, bagels, etc. The major negative was that there was only 1 working elevator so there was a long wait since it serves 6 floors!
Was a great location for my recent visit to Austin.
The AC didn’t work very well and my room was stuffy even though I turned the temp down low and turned the fan on constant. The fan didn’t stay on as designated. Also a group of women were partying on the hallway loudly at 1:39 am and woke me up. Otherwise it was a good room and stay.
Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean.
Front desk person was very nice and helpful
Nice hotel but not the friendliest employees
The hotel is nice, good breakfast rooms were spacious and clean. The negative part is that it’s not in the best area and the employees up front the time I stayed there I encountered about 5 different front desks employees none have any customer service skills not the friendliest to approach. They can’t even say Hi nothing….
Had a great time!
I have always liked staying there but this time the room smelled very musty, otherwise it was all ok
Breakfast was not good Every day same item
The hotel was very clean and very nice inside. The rooms were very big and beds. Very comfortable.
Good staffs
Great Stay!
The entire team was so great! They were thoughtful, attentive, and readily helped with any logistics. Breakfast had great options for both sitting and a grab and go. The surrounding area felt safe and there are many shops if you're looking for an area with lots to do. I would absolutely stay again.
Quiet.
Nice hotel. The breakfast offered was pretty bad though.
Comfortable Stay in Hyatt Austin
The room set up is great and it's spacious with a living area in the front unlike other hotel rooms where the bathroom is situated right there when you enter the room. The beds are comfortable to sleep in with soft pillows and sheets. The bathroom is separated from the sink which is outside the bathroom and it's a good thing and convenient when one uses the bathroom and the other person brushes her teeth or puts on make-up. Amenities are provided for convenience like a refrigerator, a coffee maker, and the awesome free breakfast.Their crunchy bacon is the best I have ever tasted in my life. My only negatives are: the ac is louder that normal the towel rack is too high for me being a short person. I suggest you install a lower towel rack and hanger on the wall beside the one that's already there. The iron placement is high for my reach as well. Make it lower of maybe provide a foot stool. But overall, it was an awesome stay in Hyatt, Austin, way better than MGM in Las Vegas, I'm telling you. I'm not kidding.
Super easy check in with wonderful customer service. Room with nice and comfortable and clean. The AC worked amazing which is a huge deal to us!! Will definitely stay here again and we’ve stayed at a LOT of hotels in Austin. I rarely do reviews but this was a great experience!
Nice place
Window unit AC made alot of noise every time it turned on. Appeared to be some mechanical issue. Breakfast area very small. Very crowded. Not designed to handle so many people. Limited seating. Staff could not keep up with replenishing supply.
Worst Sleep
I'll start with the positive, Nice Area Semi friendly front desk staff Clean room Good enough breakfast. We were placed in Room 315, right across from from elevator so lots of dings throughout the night. The AC is right next to the bed and is SUPER loud. I could not sleep comfortably with the air blowing directly on me and the noise was just too much. I had a migraine from it the entire time I was there. Not sure why hotels put the bed right next to the unit. I dont know if it was just our room or all rooms. I usually have a great experience at Hyatt Place both domestic and international and this had been my worst. Breakfast was ok, first time at a Hyatt property that we had paper plates, cups and plastic utensils but I guess thats due to covid. Kitchen and housekeeping staff do not have a smile on their face, just blank stares....weird for me cause i always smile at people once our eyes meet. I would have loved to give a better review but it was just too noisy for me and with a hectic life, i was looking forward to catching up on sleep which I didnt get.
Pros: rooms are spacious. Air conditioner worked well. Cons: very limited plugs around the bed for phone chargers or medical devices like a cpap. The whole room only had two small wire baskets as trash cans. No place to despose of liquid type foods like the oatmeal from breakfast. No trashbags were given. The television was not a smart tv. There was an option to use chromecast. But it requires logging into their limited wifi unless youre a premium member. The hallway felt like a sauna. The "free breakfast" comes with a $50.00 a day "convenience" charge at check in. Two ice machines for the whole building located on the 3rd and 5th floor. Bring bottled water unless you want to drink out if the bathroom sink tap water. We will not be returning to this property.
Great place..
Trash trucks were loud outside our room when they picked up containers. More than 3 and loud.
Beds were tiny but comfortable. Breakfast was ok. But the location was great.
A little disappointed this time.
This hotel is our go to stay when we visit family in Austin. This time, I was disappointed in the room. Usually there is an l shaped sofa and large ottoman/coffee table, plus a side table next to the sofa. This time, there was one small sofa, one small ottoman, and no other place to sit or put anything. Seems like they had taken several pieces of furniture out of the room. Thankfully we were only staying one day, and I know that seems petty, but it did affect our comfort somewhat. Just not up to the standards I am accustomed to when staying there.
Loved our stay! It was a bit noisy outside at night, but it died down enough to not hear it when we went to sleep. Loved our room and experience!
Overall property was good for the price. Room was a bit dated tho.
Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Gym and pool are great, although the gym was very small.
I've stayed here multiple times and have never been let down. Always clean facility, and friendly service. I'll be back again.
Great hotel and great location.
Great hotel with easy access to several highways to get around town.
Terrific front desk staff! Yummy breakfast options.
Very clean. Good sheets, pillows and shower. Smelled clean.
Great stay!!
The stay was very good. The comfort level was great. Check in was painless. As soon as I got to my room I feel asleep in the bed for a quick much needed nap.
Restaurant next door.
The property was in walking distance to shopping and eating establishments. When I did take an uber it was only 5 mins away from the hotel. Very convenient, would stay there again.
When checked in, I requested a room away from elevators in higher floors because I had a senior and two young children. However I was given a room on 2nd floor right next to the elevators. I can definitely say that a lady at front desk had behavior based on client’s origin. Her behavior to other clients were much more friendly. Regardless of the origin, everyone pay the same amount hence deserve same treatment. I have stayed in this specific hotel since 2010. I always had great pleasure staying here except this experience. I hope that management will choose staff who will respect everyone regardless of their origin, race, age.
Great place nice room good breakfasts
This property is very old which I could not tell from the photos on its listing. The second I walked into the room, seeing the dirty ceiling, feeling the dirty carpet, cracked sinks, dirty toilets and shower- I immediately wanted to leave. Lucky, while in bed I was able to forget about all of that. I was only here for a place to sleep at night so it was barracks but would not recommend.
Rooms need renovation. Old and dingy. Bathroom too small and cramped. Breakfast terrible. Cheap paper plates and bowls. Quality of food terrible. Orange juice was like drinking colored water. No fruit. There may be better breakfast at a low budget motel than this. Wouldn’t stay here again. One positive note: check in desk guy was very nice. That was the highlight of my stay.
Nice clean property, access to restaurants and shopping, very friendly accommodating staff.
Clean, comfortable hotel. Great service. Excellent breakfast. Close to everything.
Although I did not have time to use all of the amenities of the property, the ones in which I did use, were excellent.
