Great
It was nice
Very nice and has a great setting with very nice dining and entertainment options- I would guess that during summer season it would be a little more active and even more enjoyable!!
We have stayed at this hotel over and over because we love it. The property is beautiful as is the surrounding area. The rooms are great and filled with all the amenities. The staff is always friendly and super nice.
This place is gorgeous and tropical!!!! The staff were courteous and helpful
Great
Beautiful property and they upgraded us when we arrived.
A great stay - beautiful hotel
We stayed at the hotel as we attended a wedding in San Diego. The hotel was very welcoming. We love the Polynesian feel and enjoyed our room. The king size bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice as well. We visited the lounge in the evening and enjoyed a drink as the band played. We enjoyed a great breakfast in the on-site restaurant. The restaurant staff was awesome. They made sure that we were taken care of as we enjoyed our meal. As we only booked one night, we were unable to enjoy all the amenities. We walked the grounds before we checked out and were overwhelmed by its tropical feel. We also liked all seating areas available for guests. We wish to return to enjoy all that the hotel offers.
Beautiful property in a beautiful spot
Our stay was amazing, the hotel was so relaxing for us. The only thing I would have improved about our room was windows. Our room was so so dark. And lastly the front desk staff was like only semi bad part of our trip. I felt very unwelcomed and uncomfortable. Both ladies were off putting. My partner and I come to San Diego a lot, and this was the first hotel I’ve felt unwelcomed. Our favorite part of going on our trips is the hotel experience and it just made the experience lack luster. Other than the front desk ladies everyone else was so welcoming and helpful.
Half Moon Inn
Nice location, spacious, clean. Should have bottled water for coffee. Bar is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Restaurant is beautiful, spacious. Nice view. Service was ok.
Poor customer satisfaction
The 20 dollar resort fee was dishonest because the fee was not stated upfront during booking. There was little value staying there with hostile management
.
Wondwrful stay. Grounds were beautifully maintained and the live music every evening was a great bonus.
A DREAM COME TRUE!
We LOVED everything about the stay! A gorgeous location, amazing on site restaurant, AWESOME views and convenient amenities. We LOVED the cute birds, pool and hot tub! We truly loved the cleanliness and artfullness of it all.
Loved it! Great concerts and live music venue. Gorgeous views! Clean and comfortable.
Great location! It was easy to get anywhere in San Diego from the hotel. It was a great experience!
Paradise
It’s just paradise. Didn’t want to leave. We actually stayed another night. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and in a great location. Staff is awesome.
We loved the tropical aesthetic of the property, felt like we were on an actual getaway. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The area was nice and quiet and some lovely areas to walk around and can check out the boats at the docks nearby. The hot tub and pools were nicely heated, only wish the rooms had robes to provide walking to the pool area instead of having to undress layers. The staff were friendly and pleasant. We ended up staying an extra night and they were kind enough to have us stay in the same room. There are a few restaurants nearby but the hotel is situated in a central enough location you can drive to other neighborhoods and get there in a short amount of time. Would come back again and recommend this place!!
Humphrey’s is a cute place, would be great for more than one night as they have a lot of amenities to offer. Parking was convenient.
Loved it
Amazing stay!! I would definitely come back. Comfortable stay and beautiful surroundings.
Very clean and cozy.
Unique property with a great pool, hidden spaces with firepits, macaws and lawns. Make sure you check out the onsite restaurant and backstage live entertainment
Ok
Rooms outdated, bathrooms need upgrading not worth the price
Knowing could find my reservation! I had to stay with a friend that’s wrong and I had the conf # and they still couldn’t find my reservation!!!! I drove all the way from Upland Ca in traffic. Some need to call me back as soon as possible. Thank you
My family and I had a lovely time at the property.
Good place
Doing birthdays in Pt Loma
We really like Humphreys half moon... 3 trips in a row in December. Nice rooms, clean, quiet and walk to great bay views, establishments, et . We used their bikes (free) and enjoyed the lush (beautiful pool area) and interesting grounds. Ask for a balcony room if avail, and note that they charge for prkg AND resort fee. I always ask for prkg, which seems reasonable in light of the fees. Ask also for a couple drink tix, as they have a great bar on property overlkg the marina. Shelter Island and Pt Loma is a great area, and catch Miguel's Cocina for a chips, salsa and a margarita. We'll be back to Humphreys soon.
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The pool and the tropical garden are nice. The room was dated but clean. The staff were welcoming. I highly recommend it. .
Nice Property
We had a quick overnight stay. Wish it had been longer but will return.
The hotel is very nice and clean, quiet as well, the pool is heated and has a deep end, the kid was entertained for hours at a time in the pool. Nice sized hot tub that fills up quick in the evenings, nice fire pit area and beautiful views. I would stay again if I’m back in San Diego
Beautiful view of San Diego city skyline from across the street
Great clean stay all the way around!
Great scenic location for walking to restaurants and shopping.
This is the second Christmas we have stayed at Humphrey's while visiting family. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained and Shelter Island is a great place for morning walks.
The property is beautiful. The staff are very friendly, the roads are big and clean.
Our favorite staycation hotel in San Diego!
Fine
Great little hotel. Not far from downtown SD. Pool and hot tub are great, very nice room.
Great
The property is very well maintained and offers a wonderful escape from the busy city. The rooms are nice, but a bit dated. They could use a bit of updating and maintenance. But I still enjoyed my stay and complement the staff for being courteous and accommodating. I would stay at the Humphreys again. That's the best recommendation anyone can give.
Hunphreys was a wonderful retreat for me and my family
Family Visit
Junior suite was perfect for us to be together with family. Front desk clerk/friendly Maria, room maid was very kind getting us more coffee and making bed before our family arrived
Friendly staff and gave us a nice upgrade
Awesome place to stay
Location - right across from the waterway that has so many boats/ships go by. We were able to catch the boat parade of lights for Christmas. Great place to walk Staff was very nice
We loved the location. You could walk around shelter island. It was quiet even with a concert and busy restaurant on the property.
Charming sea side resort with a tropical feel that was so nice. Staff was super friendly and we loved the area and grounds…Perfect!
Dated, dimly lit room with a partial view of the parking lot.
Good clean, quiet, family area
I enjoy walking around the property. Didn't understand why I was charged for Half Moon Pass. They did not explain this charge
I loved everything just not good in communication they didn't tell me they charge $25 per night parking and didn't tell me if i used there out side pool or stuff they charge $20 por night there goes my deposit. Needs to tell your guest.
Nice place, quiet, convenient to airport and downtown.
You ever see the movie Coming to America ? I felt like a king in SD ! If you a man inner come here
.
The property was in a quiet location along with several food options
Always a great place to stay
Located in marina
Excellent service with housekeeper and staff
Nice place had a view of the water and boating activity. Restaurant attached was good, staff was outstanding. Room was fairly good size, fridge, safe and coffee maker. Couch and bed were not comfortable, to hard for our liking. Pillows were horrible, had the pillows been better the mattress might have been ,ore tolerable. Shower had great water pressure. At night you had to let the water run for a very long time to get hot water. The pool area looked nice, we didn’t use it, pool bar was not open the entire week we were there. Seems to bad to pay $20/day resort fee and then a $25.00/day parking fee when there was plenty of parking. I didn’t see a gym if they had one. There are parrots and Coy pond that’s pretty cool. They do concerts but we had tickets to something else the night they had a show, venue is small so intimate. The restaurant has photos of people that have performed there, some pretty big names. We ate at the restaurant a lot because it was just easy and convenient. They have love nightly entertainment as well. The beer was pricey at $9.00 for a 16 oz draft. I’d return again though because I enjoyed my view. Next time I'll park across the street for free though.
Always enjoy our stay here!
It’s been so long since I’ve had a room cleaned every night I’d forgotten what that’s like! Kids lived the pool. Great all around. The heater actually worked which is more than I can say for any other place to stay in San Diego!
Great stay for our family getaway!
Chanel at the front desk was very hospitable and we were given a ground level room with a view of the marina. Room was comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the kitchen had all the basics we needed to make a meal. Love the Polynesian theme of the resort and our family enjoyed the fire pit area and seeing the macaus. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the bike ride rental included with our resort fee, but would love to next time. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant on site - food was ok but the ambiance and service was lovely. Highly recommend this resort if you are staying in the SD area!
Door didn't lock properly. Room 153
Wonderful property!
Beds were not comfortable. The heater did not work. Yeah it gets cold in San Diego.
Very clean place. Beautiful location.
This was our third stay at the hotel, we love it here it’s so peaceful in walking distance to plenty of restaurants and the rooms are comfortable. Incredible views back over downtown SD and the marina.
This property likely had its heyday, and you can still see its former charm shining through. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, they could use some updating to match modern expectations. The pool and grounds were stunning, providing a relaxing and picturesque atmosphere. The highlight of our stay was the restaurant—an absolute gem with a five-star dining experience and a professional, attentive staff. The views from the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the marina were breathtaking and added a touch of magic to the experience. However, the front desk staff fell short. They seemed uninterested and unwelcoming, particularly the morning shift, which left a sour note on an otherwise pleasant stay. It felt like they couldn’t care less about guest satisfaction. Adding a coffee bar in the lobby for guests would also be a fantastic touch to enhance the overall experience. With some updates and improved hospitality at the front desk, this hotel could truly shine again.
Awesome property!
Beautiful garden area.
Amazing visit
We came down for a military graduation. The hotel and service was amazing. They were able to accommodate us and even helped when we made changes to our reservation. The views and surroundings were great. The hotel had a lot of amenities and things to do while we were there.
It was a tropical oasis! Friendly staff, beautiful pool and grounds! Loved our spacious room! We definitely want to come back for a longer stay!
It was good. Wished we had a better view. Our patio looks out to the roof and we had to listen to the air conditioning all night
Relaxing Hotel in SD
This is a beautiful throw back hotel. Reminds me of a beautiful hotel in Kauai. It has beautiful grounds to enjoy and the staf was very friendly and helpful Highly recommend.
Wonderful - feels like a tropical escape. The room was so Bea and comfortable. Staff was kind. Food was wonderful on the premises. My only complaint is that I booked with the purpose of using the hot tub but it was in repair. Otherwise- everything else was wonderful
Unfriendly staff. Not helpful
We enjoyed our stay at Humphreys - appears to be recently renovated. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Could not hear ongoing concert at night
Was nice quick vacation to relax
Beautiful property and a nice room. The location is close to the water and some good restaurants. Check in was amazing and we got some free drinks and a free appetizer at a nearby restaurant. Great stay! We will be back.
Come Sail Away
Great stay and concert at the outdoor venue. Sierra at the poolside bar serves good drinks and conversation. The grounds are gorgeous, very Hawaiian and the rooms are unique and totally modern with an old school tiki vibe. Would recommend to antyone.
The front desk was amazing! The young lady that checked me in was phenomenal. She made the beginning of my birthday celebration amazing. She was kind and knowledgeable. I don't have a single complaint. I would definitely return.
Humphrey’s in San Diego
Two night stay on my way home from friends trip. Beautiful pool and grounds. Staff was great and accommodating.
I watched the manager walk away from checking in 3 people told be she would get to me maybe if lucky she let the other girl handle all the outrage she did wonderful
There were plenty of more modern, recently refurbished rooms on property, we however, were in a musty older room.
A great stay
We will never stay anywhere else in San Diego! It’s an absolute gem!
The grounds were beautiful, clean and welcoming
The grounds were nice and we felt safe during our stay.
The property is done very pretty and Tropical Garden Like. The suites have balconies and are very roomy. The rooms are a bit dated and need some updating. The facilities are not truely set up for ADA COMPLIANCY. i was set up in an elevated room with no ramp or elevator access. It was very difficult to bring luggage and items into our room. We also had to change rooms as the 1st room provided for check in was checked in by some other person and never cleaned. We had to move to another room provided. In all it is a beautiful property and the adjacent concert venue is also very nice complement adding entertainment value to your stay.:
Na
This resort has a wonderful location, with great views of the city, surrounded by water. The pool area bar was renovated recently, so theres plenty of seating and heaters for cool nights. My only issues were ambient light coming in thru the shutters and the lighted light switches inside of the room. I understand theyre for safety but maybe management could spend a minute in each room, at night, to see if adjustments should be made. A good nights sleep and Id give 5 stars.
So pretty and felt like on my own island. Smelt so good too
Very nice hotel, great concert venue by the marina. Restaurant onsite is very good too, walking distance to some a couple of other restaurants. We like staying here.
Room and pool were nice, very limited parking availability.
Great stay, wonderful property!
I really like this hotel. It’s very quiet and you can walk on the concert venue.
Very nice hotel with a beautiful view of the harbor
