Great area and great service
I was there for a work event nearby. It was a great location and easy.
Awesome
The staff amazing, truly. All SO pleasant, helpful and prifessional….
The lobby and the staff are wonderful. But as soon as you step out of the elevator you get into a different quality. Rooms are old. I don’t mind it being old as long as it’s clean. The bathroom was in a horrible condition. The toilet lid had something brown wiped on it. Don’t even want to guess what it was. Ordered room service for dinner and the meal was so so. Too dry. But again the toilet and its condition was just unacceptable.
Nice property. Easy self parking. Breakfast could have been a bit better.
Disappointing!
They put us on a floor that was under construction. Construction noise began at 8am in the morning. Leaving room in the morning to having construction crew stand and stare at us in the hallway in a room they were remodeling directly across from our room. Very unsettling. We complained, but the front desk did nothing.
Lil Family Getaway!
We had a wonderful time! Hotel was comfortable, clean and smelled amazing.
The front desk staff was hospitable and extremely helpful. We also enjoyed the lobby bar staff, who were great hosts. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Plenty of towels. Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to others.
This was a great stay and staff was all so friendly. Made my trip really smooth. Ty.
All good
AC did not work in the room, we could not control the temperature.
Sometimes you don't get what you reserve.
I first issue was that I did not get the type of room I reserved. I reserved a king size bed and ended up with a twin. The staff we great! They made the trip bearable.
Great service
Everything about the hotel was unique. The only thing i didn't like was the unavailability of a short minutes parking space for guests short time visitors.
The property does not have a pool even though it is listed on this site. And the room was not clean. The sink and bathroom was not clean
THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE
not professional this hotel, only name is known!
we were waiting 1 hour 15 minutes Not clean the room until 5:00pm Next room was under the construction:( View is not good only we can see big wall:( I asked the manager, they told me not here:; really too bad:(
Needed a place to stay after displacement from hurricane Beryl
A port in the storm during the power outage, rate was not outrageous and clean room as expected at a Marriott property.
We selected this hotel for the view (which we didn’t get) but to the pool no longer being available. Brought my 8 yr old down for a Rangers VS Astros game and swimming in a cool pool. We were able to rest our heads for the night but upon arrival there was an ink stain in the floor. TV didn’t work but they were able to send someone to fix that. Still extremely disappointed about the pool. We selected this specifically choose this hotel for the pool and view from pool.
The staff was excellent from check-in to departure. Excellent location for food and dining.
Everything was extremely excellent
A
Pool is not open
The hotel overcharged me and I have not been able to get my money back despite 4 phone calls. On one call, I was put on hold for 38 minutes. On another call, the representative said that the manager will call me in 2 hours but I never got a call.
Friendly staff. Rooms could be updated
The property is and feels old. It’s not worth the price. Bed was awful. It seems that they haven’t change the mattress in years. Cleaning lady at room and in the dining area were great.
Worst Marriott in America or are they all bad?
I booked Marriott without looking at reviews because I have never had to worry about a Marriott. This was absolutely the worst hotel I have stayed at in a long time. For over $200/night we should have had something a lot nicer. This hotel is straight from 1970 with tiny, outdated, dark and dingy rooms. I would have been better off staying at a la Quinta or some other 2 star hotel and saved myself $150/night. Aside from the room the food was absolutely terrible (not fresh and probably a few days old from the fridge) and I couldn’t eat it and the server didn’t care after telling him it was terrible. We paid most $80 for 2 appetizers and 1 meal that we split. There was also a ton of noise (kids playing at the indoor pool in the 2nd floor which is right above the restaurant and bar area and it echos down. It was loud and distracting. After talking to the management about our stay they said “sorry not sorry, we are going to remodel soon”. Didn’t even offer us discount, points, or refund. Stay away from this place and be sure to read reviews on any Marriott before you book it. Marriott has gone down hill.
Cancelled on us at last min had to find other accommodations
Our room was way outdated and smelled. Don't let the modern lobby fool you, the rooms are gross. I will not stay here again. For $250, you can get a much nicer room elsewhere.
Had one reservation on Expedia and the following night booked through Marriott. I was told different things each time I contacted Marriott. “Will not have to check out, or will have to check out” without any same messaging for days. Ridiculous lack of consistent messaging. I spoke to someone in remote Marriott reservations 2 days before check in who seemed very capable and said we would not have any issues. Each time I went to the front desk it was different.
The beds sank in the middle. It really hurt our backs. The pool area was so cold and dark.
Really was not there long enough to check things out. But what we saw was nice
Disappointed
Very dated rooms & overpriced. Friendly staff but multiple mistakes that required trips or calls to the front desk. Service & quality is not up to Marriott standards.
Somewhat dated property. Overpriced & not up to the standard of the Marriott brand. Courteous staff & great location.
It was convenient for my conference.
Great rooms, staff and clean.
Comfortable stay in a convenient area.
Place smell, pool room has AC blasting, probably on purpose so people don’t swim. Bar services sucked
Very dated property … poor service all around from front desk to room cleaning. Also services pretty sub-standard, no water, no room service after 10pm, no refills on the in room coffee / teas… plastic/paper cups Felt like a cheap motel
Old, rusty, dirty
Nice environment
Hotel was clean and staff was great. Rooms are a tad dated and could use an upgrade, but besides that great!
Overall was good. One negative Bathroom was in poor condition, shower faucet didn’t work properly, tub needed draining.
Saved our trip!!!
The stay was perfect. I booked this hotel after having an awful experience at the Doubletree Brook hollow. Where i abruptly left. You saved our trip....THANK YOU
It was nice but not what I needed for my family.
Final Four weekend
The hotel has a great location for entertainment, shopping and different attractions. It was packed for final four weekend; the service of the Restaurant Emir, Shahin and Mohammed where 5 star service. Rooms need to be updated with more modern furniture. Valet parking was very goodbonly thing we had 2 rooms and was charged to both, but believe easy to fix and minor. Overrall would go back.
Clean room
Dated.
Over $600 for 2 nights and it is one of the most dated properties I have stayed in while in Houston. Step it up and get rid of the lay in ceilings in the bathrooms and popcorn ceilings. Time to invest those exorbitant rates as I’d be embarrassed if it was my property.
Outdated but practical
This hotel has certainly seen better days, outdated to late 90s. Nonetheless it was clean and quick to check in and out. The bed was comfortable to sleep in we got in late and out early for our business needs.
Hotel charged my Wi-Fi service but Expedia website displayed “Free Wi-Fi”…..
Lipstick on a Pig
The Marriott had a beautiful lobby. However, the rooms still felt like they were from the 1990’s. I’ll be staying in Hilton going forward
I loved this Hotel
I didn’t like that you have to pay for wifi
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Curtains in room could use updating to close better. Beds very soft and cozy and nice large TV in room. Easy access to 610 and restaurants and shopping. Nicely decorated lobby for the holidays!
I was able to check in early which I really appreciated
Rooms were a bit dingy and there were dust bunnies on countertops and surfaces
Room was dirty. Bed skirt and linens were threadbare. Dust all over headboard. Shower curtain seemed to have stool on it. Everything looked very worn dirty and needed replacement.
Friendliness and competence of staff, particularly Alice and Sylvia in the dining area and all the valet attendants
Nice hotel with friendly staff
Friendly staff. Clean hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner available at all times. Near everything and expressway. Room bathroom needs a little updating but everything was great.
Old and terrible hotel, overpriced no matter what!
This is a terrible hotel, way overpriced and old. It was not a good experience in any way, I'd avoid this hotel no matter what!
houston
clean rooms and great service
Transportation could have been an issue, but I have connections in the area. No negatives to report
We didn’t sleep all night. We got our room next to the elevator , very loud. A lot of very disrespecting people on our floor . They where hanging out on the hallway till 4am . It’s really Hard to believe you can be that disrespectful and loud in the middle of the night.
There was a dam dog in the room beside us. Very hard to sleep when a dam dog is barking all night. Called front desk they said they were sending someone up,but the barking never stopped. Not to mention the beds were horrible
Very friendly and helpful staff
:)
The hotel is not worth what they charge. Have stayed in much nicer hotels that at least offered coffee in the lobby. Breakfast prices were outrageous. Would never recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel. Lobby is very attractive. Room was nice and clean. Pool area is very clean. Bathroom was clean but small a little. We like this hotel
They charge you for internet, parking, and they have white light in tue room instead of warm light
Margarita 🍹
I ordered a small margarita at the hotel bar, thinking it would be around 14.00. To my dismay it was 23.00. Kinda pricey.
great first class property
Someone hit my rental truck on the property. Also room service was slow . They charge for parking unexpectedly. It’s not a good hotel. I will never book here again
Great stay
Clean
The comfort
I made mention to my co-worker that I was very happy with the staff. Had interactions with 3-5 people and all were very pleasant and helpful. Sad to say that good service and polite and pleasant workers is a stand out these days but it was a nice surprise that everyone I came into contact with there was professional, polite and upbeat.
The young lady that checked the sound was very helpful and pleasant
Property is dated. Rusty plumbing fixtures. Room needs painting. Carpet and furniture arms were dirty
it was nice
It needs to be torn down and rebuilt. It’s run its course…
Nothing
Free wifi isn't free unless you sign up for their rewards program. TV wasn't working and when I called front desk (several times), no one answered.
Great !!!
The place was dirty and smelly
Na
The property was clean and room was fine. However I was very disappointed with breakfast. Way to expensive for what was offered and service was lacking.
Nice but not that nice...
I booked this hotel for a Mother’s Day trip. We ended up checking out after the first night. Our bath tub didn’t drain, the bathroom sink didn’t cut off when placing the knobs in the off position you had to play with it to get it to the right spot to turn off completely, our room was right across from the fitness center there we heard all the noise when it was being used and the icing on the cake...our room was above the dumpster so we cld hear each time there was trash being disposed. It just wanted a good experience. Outside of those issue the hotel in itself was nice and staff was pleasant just not accommodating to the issues we experienced.
Very polite stuff at the register. My coffee maker was not working in my room 1110
No restaurant or cafeteria, no room service, no food in mini bar.
We stayed overnight at this hotel. It was a comfortable stay. I am a stickler for cleanliness so i felt like the bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly. But overall a pleasant stay.
My stay at this hotel was OK. In my opinion it does not leave up to the expectation.Inflated rates for very limited service and amenities. NO functional restaurant and bar. It is closed do to Covid 19 which is understandable. However, there are plenty places to eat around the hotel. No free parking. You have to pay $26 for self parking. No free basic internet and wifi. You have to pay so you can check your email. The rooms are old and could use some improvement. I should have looked around.
Nice Hotel
Hotel was really nice. Front lobby agent was tentative and friendly.
very bad experience!
When most of the hotels now, give you free WiFi , this hotel charge me for it, you guys should say it : not free WiFi and not free parking . Don’t set traps and say: “free WiFi on lobby” and “available parking “ . I’ve been there with my wife and two kids ,there was not even one vending machine, to buy a bottle of water. Going to the parking lot , was always an adventure; go down with the elevator, go all the way i the other side of the building, take another elevator, go up one level and then go to my car, then drive the car around to get on front door so I can pick up my family. I will be more careful next time when I choose a hotel!
Rooms could have been a little cleaner, RR needed the most attention.
