Everything was very musty, dimly lit, there were a lot of cleanliness things that were overlooked (soapscum in the shower, tons of dust everywhere, floors felt dirty, remote was sticky) The cleaning staff were super nice and welcoming so I just took it as they have too much work, not that they were entirely neglectful. Ample parking, there was security in the lot 24/7 actively patrolling, which made me feel safe as a solo traveler. The nearby area leaves a lot to be desired, but it's in a business area/near a highway so not the worst! Just not walkable.

Staff was nice specifically Tangie, she helped me link my reservation to my Bonvoy Account. Room service was also amazing and food was delivered in a timely manner (20-30 min after ordering).

Surrounding area is sketchy - drivers will tell you not to wonder around. Front desk service was good. Dining/Bar service was horrible. Bartenders were not getting along, staff was short with everyone. Was told my order was not placed to-go, but they could probably bring some boxes after the food gets dropped off. I believe United Airlines has two bus load of employees going through training. They have taken over the hotel for 7 weeks.

I was very pleased with bartender Francisco, he was friendly and attentive. Great conversation and made me feel welcome. Didn't receive the same service from the other bartender, felt like if I was not a regular small talk was not an option. Morning crew was great, I was waiting in the lobby for a co worker. It was a Marriot workers birthday on 12/12. and I could feel the love between them and it was awesome to see it from the outside looking in. They approached me and ask if I was doing ok and if I needed anything? A coffee? I travel a lot and that's never happened.

The property was good. I will probably dtay again. I did not like the discolored ceiling in the shower due to a previous water leak. Otherwise, my stay was good.
My husband and I traveled from Alabama to Houston Texas to assist his daughter with moving. While we were in the hotel taking a two hour nap our vehicle was stolen off the Marriott Houston North Property. The evening manager, Ms. Rita was so nice and helpful to advice us that the Manager, Leah will be able to review the outside camera on the property. When speaking with Ms. Leah we learned that camera are not "operational" at the time of this event. How convenient that our vehicle gets stolen only to learn the camera are not working at that time and the security guard didnt see any suspicious activity. I will be contacting Cooperate in the morning. Meanwhile, I will not be staying here again.

overnight flight connection
overnight connection at Houston airport. We had a very nice room at an attractive price. Shuttle service good (30 minute interval) Lounge/restaurant was loud on the night we were there.
I had a very rude and uncomfortable experience while checking in to the hotel. Enough so to tell the clerk id rather just go elsewhere. I consider myself a respectful and well mannered, kind, gentleman. We all have our bad days and personal lives. I say this now as I wish to offer, respectfully, that I do not wish to discredit this place or its employees. The level of customer service drawn simply from the kindness of a welcome Check in is a very small yet most valuable interaction in the business.
Very nice stay. Check-in was easy and parking was convenient. There were plenty of stores and resturants in the immediate area around the hotel.

Traveling Queen
Room 423, the power was off and on all day. My coffee maker did not work. And for the price of the room, continental breakfast should not be an extra fee. Overall, the sweet lady at the desk made the stay worth it with her hospitality.
Not the hotel for me!
There were not enough stars to honor the staff, they were superb, very professional and friendly. The hotel smelled great and was extremely clean, full size showers which is very nice. I’ll definitely be staying at this property in the future.
Very helpful and nice staff
The hotel itself was fine but the automatic night lights right in my face were super annoying. The food in the restaurant is mid, not bad but mid. My main complaint is that I asked the hotel receptionist this morning to call me a taxi and she called a friend of hers who charged me 3x what a taxi or Uber would have cost AND he drove us all around Houston picking up other riders and made me 30 minutes late to the airport. I felt intimidated and just paid the fare but I will never ever do that again. I would have called for a cab myself.

I keep hearing that this area of town is not the best. But honestly me and my kids felt safe. There’s a security guard roaming the parking lot. Everything was clean, comfortable and beautiful view from the 12th floor. I will definitely be coming back. I have stayed in very luxurious hotels and I can say that this felt like it.

The room did not have a chain or similar lock for additional privacy and the AC was struggling to keep the room cool. The room was very warm.
One thing at this hotel, the first room I got had cockroaches coming out of the refrigerator and then they took me to a second room and that had blood and hair on the telephone. The customer service was good. The gentleman refund us our night and gave us drink and food vouchers, but overall the cleanliness was terrible.
The front desk manger was very friendly and also assisted me with extra towels.

The hotel is really close to airport (IAH) and it was around a neighborhood fairly close to restaurants and other shops. The check in process was delayed but the hotel gave us breakfast vouchers. Room was clean!

The AC didn’t work in the room. There were hookers roaming around the property. It was not a pleasant experience.
The staff was very helpful and I enjoyed the Breakfast buffet. There was plenty of parking with security driving around the grounds and the hotel amenities were very nice
It’s not worthy for $350 a night
The hotel was in the hood of houston. There is no cell phone signal in your hotel room and the shuttle ran when they felt like it was convenient for them. The only good thing about this hotel was the staff.
Unfortunately the power was out due to the hurricane, so breakfast was as best as they could make it.

I called the day before inquiring about the airport shuttle and was told that I can get on it at IAH Terminal B door 103 or Terminal A door 115. When I got there we landed at Terminal C, so I went to the Terminal B door 103 following the signs for hotel pick up. After 40 mins I called this hotel and was told that they only pick up at Terminal A door 115, because of the construction. I was upset, because I call the day before and was given the pervious stated information. Otherwise the hotel was nice. There was a security car sitting at the front entrance with it's blue light flashing all night. Not sure how safe it is if with this.

On point for the brand. Very clean nicely appointed rooms, common areas are very nice. Bar/restaurant was clean and nice and the food was good. This hotel was about 10 to 15 minutes from the aiport and the shuttle runs every 30 minutes

It was a pleasant stay. The bed and bedding were very comfy, the restroom was a little dirty when we got there, but usually I sanitize it anyways.
The day staff was very nice. The handicap accessible bathroom was horrible. When showering there was always water in the floor...drainage was very poor. I asked for towels from the night staff twice and never received them.

Mariott stay
The front of the hotel.and inside lobby were nice. The ball rooms were very nice, but the rooms were outdated, and bathroom was not cleaned they way it should have been. The toilet was way too short. The air stopped working. Mariott used to be a symbol of elegance and class, but the quality is not like it used to be.

My room was not clean . Upon arrival I found Hair was on the sink , toilet dirty and stains were I’m my sheets. The housekeeper was rude and condescending My friends room shower was dirty and toilet did not flush Terrible experience We checked out and went to another hotel
It was out of the downtown area but was still a close drive. Nice proximity.
Clean room with comfortable bed. Didn't like that there was no microwave in the room especially for how much the rooms were. They do have a community microwave on each floor but ours was pretty gross most of the time. They charge in the mornings for a tiny crappy cup of coffee in the lobby/bar area.
The property is run down and lots of areas are fallen apart. The bar is extremely over priced and a huge disappointment and it’s located in a bad area of town which limits where you can park. The front desk persons were nice and friendly.

Upon arrival, we waited to check in for 3-4 minutes while staff was behind the wall messing around laughing etc. when someone finally came out they couldn’t comprehend that the room had already been paid for and was trying to charge me again. I showed the receipt multiple times with the reservation number. Finally got to the room. The bed and set up was nice. Noticed our door lock was loose so door wouldn’t close properly. It took about 9 hours to cool the room down four degrees. They put us near the stairs and the door slams so loud all day and night. There was one coffee pod in the room and they wouldn’t give us a second one and told us coffee was $3 for a little cup. Kinda ridiculous, it’s cheap coffee. Lol Good things. Nice bed and pillows. Pretty clean and nice hotel with lots of potential. Nice bar and restaurant. We ordered a lot of food from from service and everything tasted great and got to us pretty quickly. The area was pretty with lots of trees and green. Quiet around the hotel Need better check in staff. It sets a mood that hard to recover and if they aren’t professional it’s a no go from us in the future.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. There were no vending machines and the hotel shop was not even a shop just had a few things. Nothing around the hotel that you could walk to and the area did not seem very safe.
The people were nice. But lots of miscommunication and frustration about trying to get a shuttle from the airport after 4 calls and no shuttle (almost an hour) my family took an Uber. On the last call we realized I was at the wrong terminal but had never been told to go to a different terminal. Shower handle came off. One elevator stopped working while I was in it. No coffee or bar soap in the room. Yes, disappointing.
Hard on Vegetarians
Quick overnight for travel. Shuttle was fine and helpful. We knew to order ahead from hotel restaurant due to closing at 10pm and no room service either. Would have been great if the kitchen could have made a grilled cheese sandwich for the vegeatarian. Oh well.
Property was clean, staff all very friendly. Food and beverage choices were nice as well. Downside was the highway noise while trying to sleep. Unfortunately my room overlooked the freeway. Next time I would request to stay on opposite of the hotel.
