施設は古くて小さいが、とても綺麗に整えられていて、隣の部屋の音も気にならない作りになっていました。 スタッフの方々もとてもフレンドリーで温かいもてなしを受けました。またこの島を訪れる際は、お世話になりたいです。 朝食もスウェーデンらしい　可愛いらしいもので、とても楽しめました。

Comfortable stay by the ruins. Each room is unique. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is plentiful, typical Swedish, and delicious. Bike rentals onsite were very convenient.

This hotel was magical! Slightly away from the din of the main square, Hotell St. Clemens nonetheless feels extremely accessible and close to everything. We were a family of four wit h small children, and they were able to accommodate us by adding two small beds. The property is beautiful and is adjacent to the St. Clemens ruins, which makes this just about the most unique hotel I’ve been to. The breakfast spread and available fika all day in the garden was so pleasant. I hope to come back one day and stay again!

This is a super cute, family owned hotel! The rooms are clean and quaint, and everything was wonderful. The breakfast was lovely and light and the location was great for looking around Visby!

Had a wonderful 3 day/2 night stay in early May 2023 at the Hotell St. Clemens. Molly was a wonderful and incredibly attentive host. The property is in a great location in Visby just steps away from one of many ruined churches and the botanical garden, and a short walk away from the town center and the many restaurants and sites there. The rooms were fairly large and the beds were comfortable. One minor complaint is that it took us a while to figure out how to adjust the temperature in the room. Breakfasts were provided every morning in a nice setting and there are also courtyards for sitting, eating, and listening to the birds singing.

The hotel is very close to the harbor and to all the main attraction in Visby. The staff over the desk are very nice and helpfull, they explained everything and gave lots of tips what to do and where to go. The iland is amazing and beautifull and full of nature.

Nice room, but it was quite hot by the time I visit, thus I need to be close to the mini fan they provided. By the roads, and some walk distance to bus stop and attractions. Nice staff.

Cosy hotel with great breakfast and staff

A very cosy hotel near the botanical garden, the church and "stora torget" with lots of restaurants and a supermarket. It's also neighboring a beautiful church ruin. The staff at check in was very professional and service minded. The breakfast buffet is nice, without warm food (boiled eggs are there) but lots of fresh fruit and really good bread. If you're a company requiring two rooms, try to call and request room 11-12, then you'll have your own entrance to the rooms and can keep doors between rooms open, creating somewhat of a mini suite.

A perfect little gem

Stayed for 4 nights. Absolutely lovely hotel! The hotel personnel were very friendly and made this stay special. The hotel itself is 5 buildings dating from 1600’s but carefully renovated and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the 2 courtyards where we were able to have breakfast. The room and bathroom were spotless. Will definitely choose this hotel next time.

The Hotell has a beautiful location adjacent to a cathedral ruin and the botanical garden in the heart of historic Visby. The experience for me was like an excellent bed and breakfast in the US, and quite different from a commercial hotel. The historic buildings, large room sizes with tasteful, modern decorating, and friendly staff made this a choice I have revisited annually for the past 5 years.

Beautiful Place in Time

The hotel was amazing. I could never have asked for better. Our skylights looked up at the ruins of St. Clemens. I could reach out my window and actually touch the ruins. Beautiful place... I will definitely be back someday!!!

such a cut comfortable cottage (stayed in one of the little houses out back adjacent to the st. clemens church ruins). we got in late and though i never received the e-mail directives for check in there was a sign posted and we got in in no time. only gripe would be hotels.com wrongly implying that parking was free. it is not, it costs a separate fee and the lot is limited, it is best to reserve in advance. Anyhow the staff were super warm, the breakfast was delicious and generous, and the overall stay was perfect. would come again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful hotel with a cozy feel and great staff!

The staff were excellent, helped us check in 2 hours before expected and arranged accommodations for our early check out with a to-go breakfast. We will certainly stay again on our next visit to Visby.

A Lovely Home Away From Home in Visby

We loved our stay at Hotell St. Clemens. My wife and I visited with our five-month old baby and the staff were very accommodating to our needs. They put a nice baby crib and a kettle for our formula in our room without us having to ask. The hotel itself was very charming and the breakfast buffet was wonderful, and it was located right in the heart of Visby which made getting around quite easy. We also got some good recommendations for baby friendly food venues around the old town. This was our first trip out together as a family and the hotel helped to make it memorable and quite painless which we really appreciated. We'll make sure to stay here again should we come back to Visby!

Visby experience

It was a very enjoyable and happy holiday in Visby. The hotel we stayed was very convenient and easy accessible by walking to the Visby wall, Cathedral, town square and shopping street. Hotel has very comfortable tea time area to seat around and relax. Hotel staff especially Menette and Carl were superb. Very helpful friendly and kind. Even local on the street were very helpful. Menette and Carl took all the effort in helping us to get rented car and gone through the whole map with us. Visby is only easy to move around to different attractions and places of interest by car. Visby is really a good place to visit for relax. Thank you Menette and Carl. Wish you all the best!

Nice hotel very near to town

Nice hotel very near to town. The front-desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Signing up for parking in advance is essential -- and having that parking is a real plus. The room I had was simply furnished and comfortable -- although the dormers made it awkward walking around.

Great place to stay in Visby - near shops & shore

I was there to attend an academic conference at the Gotland campus of Uppsala University. It was a short walk to campus, to the ferry, and you could even walk to the airport if the weather was nice. Great place to stay: friendly staff, wonderful Swedish breakfast, very welcoming and interesting place.

Amazing and charming little hotel in the heart of Visby. The front desk was amazing and the free breakfast was delicious! Also the rooms were very cute, clean and comfortable. The greatest part is that the hotel is literally connected to this gorgeous ruin, and you can go sit and have tea there!

A quite, comfortable location with a friendly staf

As part of a 3 week Scandinavian getaway I decided to spend a couple of days in Visby. I thought it might be a bit less crowded as I was visiting the last week of October. However there was a big motorcycle race that weekend so the ferry, hotels and restaurants were all quite busy. This worked in my favor as they had originally said they would make a box lunch for me for Saturday as the 7:15 ferry schedule would not allow me to eat before I had to leave for the harbor. But as almost every other room had motorcycle people they decided to open breakfast 1/2 hour early so I could either eat there or make sandwiches to go.

Best hotel choice within Visby's city walls.

The hotel is wonderfully located right next or better within one of the oldest church ruins of Visby, the St. Clemens Church ruin. Perfect stay for a romantic get away. The church is used until today's days for wedding parties. As hotel guests, you are permitted to get into the church ruin in the night, to dance with your loved one under open skies within the historic church walls. Breathtaking experience. The stuff is extremely friendly, all rooms are very nice and very tastefully equipped. Our two nights stay was the highlight of our 2 weeks round trip trough Sweden. We definitely WILL return to have another dance at night time, within the old church ruin.

Wonderful location

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel..very close to the St Maria church and other places of interest...the hotel itself is amidst the St Clemens ruins which makes the location absolutely stunning. The people are extremely warm and welcoming .. Would love to go back another time

Perfect in every way.

From the first greeting at the front desk, I knew this was going to be a great experience. Warm, welcoming, great facility, incredible location (with its own medieval church ruin just steps from the lobby), nice breakfast buffet, any & all advice about restaurants, museums, all the way to the cab to the airport at the end of our too-short stay. I wouldn't consider anywhere else.

There were 4 of us & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Within walking distance for sightseeing, restaurants, etc. Would definitely stay there again.

Love this hotel

My husband and I loved this hotel, it was so picturesque and conveinient (within walking distance to everything in Visby, Gotland, Sweden, we wanted to see). The hotel staff were very cheerful, informed, friendly and helpful. Our only problem was the very low ceiling in the attic room we had, it did make it a bit awkard for my tall husband. Altogether we had a really good little rest from our travels in Norway and Sweden (coming from Australia).

Hotell St Clemens was really a nice hotel. The building is a old building but very charming. The rooms are very charming also, the room of the 2nd floor has a opening on the roof that you can see the sky, and I liked that.Bathrooms very clean. Nice breakfast. The location is very nice, it is on the side of the ruins of St Clemens church. Near the Catedral. The best was the staff, they were very friendly, they indicated the best places to visit, the good restaurants. And when the staff are so friendly you really feel at home. I really had a good time in Visby because I stayed in Hotell St Clemens.

Great service

The people running the hotel were outstanding! From the moment our taxi arrived they accommodated our every need. Our room was ready and waiting for us. They arranged car rental, taxis,recommended restaurants and even loaned us a car seat for the baby. I was in Gotland doing genealogy and they even introduced me to another guest who was on a genealogical trip to the same town where my family is from. I can't say enough about how pleasant they were to work with, always greeting us with a smile and a hello. The hotel was centrally located in the Old Town and made for a very picturesque stay. Breakfast was delicious! Loved the whole stay.

Hotell St Clemens - Exceptional service

Visby, being a medieval town, brought about no surprise that the hotel was old. Possibly, the only complaint that I have was that the shower was too small. The overall size of the medium-sized room that I got was alright for two people and the room was clean. What I loved about this hotel was its exceptional service. The receptionists went all out to recommend things to do, even helping us to get a cheap last minute car rental to Faro, which I appreciated deeply. On our last day, as our ferry departed early at 7:05, which was earlier than the stipulated breakfast time, the receptionist prepared us a hearty takeaway breakfast comprising a sandwich, apple, yogurt and juice at no extra charge. I would definitely return if visiting Visby again.

Helt fantastisk service, mottagande, frukost, rummet, närhet till Visby centrum.

Visby is the city said to be the model of the Japanese anime movie “Kiki's Delivery Service”. We went from Stockholm in the morning, visited Visby during the day, and stayed at this hotel overnight. Visby was a beautiful and cute town, just like in the movies. And this hotel made me feel like I was staying right in the city. Clean, cute, cozy rooms and facilities, friendly owners, delicious breakfast, and low cost of stay. This was my first visit to Visby and I can't compare it to others, but I think you can't go wrong with this hotel.

Utmerket hotell i gamlebyen sentralt beliggenhet samt flotte og rolige omgivelser. Vi fikk en utrolig fin mottakelse da vi ankom hotellet. De ansatte på hotellet var hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Rommet var pent, rent og gode senger. Frokosten var god. Ikke minst var det interesant å lese om hotellets og de enkelte roms historie. Hotellet hadde 3 el bil plasser med lader disse må man bestille i forkant. Vi kommer gjerne igjen.

Allt var perfekt

Har bara lovord för det här familjehotellet. Personal, renlighet, frukost, omgivningarna var perfekta. Fikon i trädgården, honung från egna bin uppe i kyrkoruinens torn och botaniska trädgården tvärs över vägen. Som en saga. Jag hade ursprungligen bokat ett kedjehotell eftersom det hade större rum än detta, men i sista minuten bokade jag ändå om till St Clemens. Rummet var fullt tillräckligt normalstort. Jag har hittat ”mitt” ställe i Visby och kommer tillbaka nästa år igen!

Lite svårt att vädra ut rummet ordentligt.annars ett fantastiskt fint hotell med hög servicenivå och perfekt läge.

Kortsemester i medeltidsmiljö

Otroligt fint rum på en innergård. Takvåning med lite sneda tak, mysigt. Superfräscht wc som är helt modernt. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Rummet var nästan för tyst, vi hade fönstret lite öppet men det var fullständigt tyst utanför. Nu hade vi fönster mot innergården så det hjälpte ju till. Centralt läge i den fantastiska innerstaden så det är ju inte mycket trafik i vilket fall. 3 minuters gångväg till stora torget. Frukosten mycket trevlig. Ganska lite plats för hotellfrukost så "bacon och äggröra" fanns inte, men det fanns mycket annat som var desto bättre. Fräscht och välskött, även detta med trevlig personal. Jag är imponerad över hur de kan kombinera den medeltida miljön med moderniteter utan att det känns konstlat, men de har lyckats. All mysfaktor från ett gammalt område och K-märkta byggnader, utan några av nackdelarna.

Jättemysigt men tyvärr en gata precis utanför som gav mkt oljud. Missade att hotellet inte erbjöd vin att köpa.

Det är inte konstigt att hotellet fått alla dessa utmärkelser. Väldigt bra läge, inga störande ljud, mysiga rum sköna sängar och inte minst, service utöver de vanliga. Första morgonen var det kallt i badrummet, (ej fungerande golvvärme) de skulle fixa det, men blev kompenserade långt över vad man kan förvänta. Uppgraderat rum mm. Molly vet verkligen vad ” serviceminded” innebär och man känner sig väl omhändertagen som gäst. Vi kommer tillbaka!

Personligt och vackert

Vårt första, men absolut inte sista, besök på S:t Clemens. Otroligt vackert litet hotell i flera gamla hus mitt i centrala Visby. Vi fick bo i gamla skomakeriet, med ingång från trädgården och utsikt mot S:t Clemens ruin. Mycket fräscht rum med sköna sängar. Frukosten hade allt utom varma rätter, var vackert upplagd och kunde avnjutas i matsalen eller i någon av trädgårdshörnorna. Överallt fanns välskötta blomsterarrangemang och mysiga små sittplatser. Till och med laddningsuttag på den pyttelilla parkeringen. Och inte minst blev vi väldigt omsorgsfullt och fint mottagna och bemötta under hela vår vistelse. Hit kommer vi egen, längtar redan!

Ett familjärt hotel med hög mysfaktor. Trevlig personal, fint och rent och sviten var fantastisk! En go frukost trots avsaknad av bacon. Det fanns tillräckligt med goda saker och färskt bröd. Perfekt läge i centrala Visby med nära till det mesta.

Gemytligt med hög service och hållbarhetsfokus

Weekendresa för 7 vuxna där vi bodde i hotellets superiorrum och sviten. Fina och rymliga rum med sköna sängar och eget kylskåp. Under vistelsen hade vi förmånen att även få delta vid ägarnas 15-årsjubileum där ett trevligt firande ägde rum i den anslutande ruinen med 7 sorters småkakor och musikuppträdande. Gemytligt, välkomnande (Agneta i receptionen var otroligt trevlig) och definitivt ett hotell vi gärna återkommer till.

Ombonat och hållbart

Det är ett småskaligt, väldigt ombonat boende - man trivs. Hållbarheten är påtaglig. Jag valde att inte ha någon städning och därmed "räddade jag en gädda". Lite kallt i rummet vid ankomst men fick ett extra värmeelement så snart jag påtalade det. Väldigt charmigt och inbjudande hotell.

Tolles Personal, Zimmer mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Leider war das Zimmer Nr. 14 sehr hellhörig.
