Very noisy Air conditioning not working need to open the windows
Got a single room at a good price, half what you'd pay in Seville. In a good location opposite the bullring. No noise, despite being on main road. However, the double bed made the room cramped. Bedside table prevented the sock drawer below the wardrobe from opening. Bathroom also cramped. No shelf for toiletries etc. Staff helpful, but told that there was no bus to the bus station and given info on taxi's. Wrong! Bus D stops at rear of hotel and goes right to bus station every half h. Fare 90c.
No Restaurant. No Bar. No Air conditioning.
This hotel did not have the following features that the Hotels.com website said it had:- No Restaurant. No Bar. No Air conditioning. There was no lift from reception level. You have to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs and down another to use the lift starting on the 1st floor. No way is this a 3-star hotel. I had to prepay for my room so I couldn’t leave to find another hotel. This was misrepresented on Hotels.com and I feel I should get a refund for this reason.
Stopover
One night stop on our way to Portugal great restaurant across the road in the bullring
Very noisy surroundings
Nice Hotel, but what a noisy neighbourhood. A concert stand nearby at 22:30 and didn’t finish till after 0200. Then motorbikes and lots of load shouting people in the park under our balcony. Didn’t get much sleep. It’s a shame as otherwise the hotel was perfectly ok.
A good HQ for conquering Roman Merida
Hotel Zeus is just across the road from Merida's sprawling and improved Roman archaeological park and museums. It also had ample free parking on-site. Although its restaurant next door was not yet open for 'the season,' I found a very good one a few minutes' walk down the street. The concierge spoke English and gave very helpful advice touring Spain's best-preserved Roman town, which requires at least 2 days to do it justice; so I had to stay on for another night! All in all, a fine value for the money.
The hotel is cheap. good price if you are just looking for a place to sleep and not spend a bunch of money. But, you get what you pay for. The pillows are not very nice and the sheets and blankets were not the best. Definitely old and used… but clean. The old town of Mèrida is walking distance to the hotel, but the surrounding area is not that nice of an area. Overall, I would stay there again simply for the price, but not a place I would recommend if you want a super nice place.
Basic but adequate
Basic Hotel in good location with free parking
Good location, staff and room and free parking. Breakfast was OK. Would stay again if in the area.
Classic tourist hotel near main sites
The hotel is a little dated and faded but its clean and everything works , in a good spot for a short walk to the Roman sights and easy to find. Breakfast was simple but enough for us. Its on a large main road but no noise if you have the windows closed, you need to cross this road to get to the sights but thats fine if you used the crossing points. Staff were pleasant if you approached them , we were not able to use the pool as it was closed as it was October, which was a shame as it was pretty warm. As others has mentioned one odd thing was the steep marble staircase leading up to the lift , odd ! The roman sites are definately worth making a detour to visit and im glad we did, the hotel served its purpose.
Driving through Spain by car?
We used Zeus as a cheap overnight stay on a drive from Bilbao to Gibraltar being over half way and conveniently close to the main road through, very helpful staff, and clean, close to town(10mins walk) and good parking, fuel station close by. Excellent value for money and recommended!
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was roomy and clean, but a little dated.
Good value and location .
Friendly reception staff- most helpful. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. The hotel has ample parking space( free) and is within easy walking distance to the town and Roman sites. We would stay here again.
Car parking is a plus
The best thing about this hotel was that it had a car park & was within walking distance of the ruins & square. Strange arrangement with steps before you reach the lift. Therefore you were lifting cases up & down stairs. Average rooms, average breakfast, ok for the price
Rome in Spain
One thing the posting said there was a restaurant on site which there is; but it was not in operation other than for breakfast at this time. Same with the pool which is open June 15 to 1 Sept; and it was 36C at the time I was there; so a pool would have been good. I did enjoy my stay; but there are voids in the hotels "statements of what is available".
OK hotel if you can’t find something closer in
Stayed for two nights. Breakfast was not included in our reservation and we did not feel like paying 8€ pp for breakfast. The in-house restaurant was not open for dinner, but there were plenty of nearby restaurants. The hotel layout is odd—you have to walk up about ten steps, then down three to get to the elevator. Not ideal if you have a lot of luggage. The desk clerks did not offer to assist with our bags. The room was very Spartan—no safe, refrigerator or coffee/tea facilities. Room was also very noisy. We could hear voices through the wall and bangs and scraping sounds from the room overhead that lasted until 1 a.m. one evening. Hotel is just across the street from the Mitrio Roman villa. Other worthwhile sights are 10-15 walk away, but there are probably comparable hotels nearer to the sights for the same money. We chose this hotel because parking was available for our car.
my husband has poor mobility and we were suprised to find that although the hotel has an elevator you have to climb a flight of marble stairs to reach the first floor and the elevator. This is not mentioned in the listing for the property. The beds were reasonably comfortable but were narrow. There was a lot of noise from the rooms around due to the plumbing and lacking soundproofing, not particularly noisy guests. The staff were helpful and welcoming. Parking good
Solid choice
We enjoyed our stay, very close to local points of interest and the fact that they had parking made it even better.
Good hotel. Walking distance to main attractions. Friendly staff.
The hotel was a good value for the money the staff was friendly and helpful The location is in walking distance to all the monuments
Don't miss this gem!
Excellent hotel in the perfect location for a city break. You can see all the sights of this amazing Roman city on foot from the hotel. And when your stay is over you can be on the motorway in 3 minutes maximum. I found the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. I thought the hotel accepted pets in the room but this is not the case. In summer it gets very hot in a parked car in Merida but the receptionist moved his car so I got a space in the shade. He also rang the Roman Theatre to see if you can take dogs into the site - you can't - but there are so many other Roman buildings that you can just walk up to in the street and view. Top marks to the people of Merida too. They were always willing to look after my 2 dogs for a few minutes while I went to order a takeaway pizza or a beer. Beautiful place, full of historical and architectural interest.
Nice hotel
Nice hotel, close to all major attractions, walking distance
Merida- good location
Ok hotel, good location but a bit impersonal.
Good value, interesting city.
Good value hotel on ring road yet close to centre and the amazing roman remains.
Adequate stay
Reasonable but tired accommodation. Pool area nice but needs some tlc. Well situated and easy free parking. OK breakfast.. Excellent free wifi.
one night stopover
histoical town
Good convenient location, helpful staff. Clean, and tidy. Would certainly use again.
As described
Used as an overnight stop on way to Cadiz. Very good and very pet friendly
Good hotel = wrong placeenough
Nice hotel - not a great town though -hard to get a decent feed
Room small but hotel near all places of interest
Location
Location great. Facility isdues- problem flushing toilet. Elavatar broken
Good value
Tiny room with very tiny bathroom. Fine for 1 person. Great choice at breakfast. Very helpful staff when I needed to contact Visa about my credit card which had been fraudulently used and cancelled. I walked to most of the historic places and left my car at the hotel.
Overnight stop with a dog
The room was basic but ok for a nights stay The staff were friendly and helpful but it is basic. The pool does not open till mid June and the price for our dog was €10 per night not €5 as advised on your website. It's only a short walk to the town centre and there are roman remains just across the road and next to it the bullring so it was a good location There a few local bars and a restaurant just 5 minutes walk.
The hotel was a great value. They were in-between heating and cooling seasons so there was no ventilation. I was on the fourth floor and able to open my window. Though the hotel is on a main road, it was very quiet at night, even with the window open. The staff offered me a fan, but it was not necessary. The window itself was excellent and would have blocked any noise. The breakfast buffet for 6 euros was exceptional. Within easy 15 minute walk to all the sights. The bull ring across the street had small bars/restaurants on the ground level and was a very nice close place to sit and eat.
Hotel is near the roman ruins (within walking distance) and not too far from the shopping malls and supermarkets by car. Rooms are rather small and congested. We were given a small single and a double next to each other even though we booked a triple.
Nice hotel
Great price and parking right at the hotel. Close to main areas but GPS will not find this hotel, just remember to head for the bullfighting ring (Plaza de toros). Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast at the hotel cafeteria.
One night in Merida
We arrived on a Saturday and the area around the Hotel was dead. No restaurants were open and the Hotel restaurant was only open for breakfast buffet. You had to walk into town to get anything to eat. Also the pool and outdoor lounge area was closed, effective Sept 15th....would have been good to know some of these facts prior to booking. Reception staff were good and parking was available,so it was fairly good value for the money, but not in a really nice area.
Perfectly adequate for one night stay. Very near to the Ferry Port.
Ok
Liked the marble
Sitio bien comunicado y tranquilo.
GUADIANA Y ROMA
A varanda do quarto é espaçosa e o hotel é bem localizado.

The plumbing system desperately needs refurbishment. Room smelled like toilet, which was fixed by some fragrance sprayer. Additionally it was loud when someone used it. You heard your room neighbours very well.
Justo
Normal a corresponder as espetativas
