Was disappointed after staying at this property so many times that my upgraded status didn’t get me anything until I had to ask. No upgraded room or breakfast offered until I had asked while nearly paying for my breakfast. Also apon walking up to the check in desk on arrival was greeted with a “what up?” Seems pretty unprofessional
Disappointed
I was disappointed with the hotel. The toilet clearly hadn't been cleaned, which is honestly disgusting. The floor and countertops were damaged. We asked for a bottle opener and they couldn't find one. We've been to this hotel in the past and never had such a bad experience. Unfortunately, it was our last time there...
Nice, clean and close from everywhere.
The hotel and staff was very kind. There’s a nice convenient store attached to the property which was an added bonus.
The room was way too small.
It was overall a horrible time. My tv in my room was broken- and I had paid extra for a better room. I was told with my VIP benefit I would get valet parking included, the valet told me pickup truck was too big… The elevator broke and the whole hotel only has 2 elevators. It was very unsafe a homeless man approached me as soon as I walked outside around 7 PM alone. Terrible expierence.
Très bon séjour. Chambre confortable et propre. Bel hôtel bien situé!
Great hotel, the staff was really nice and the room was super clean. Will return again!
Location wasn't bad. Payed for larger room, but do not believe we got it. Breakfast wasn't worth the price. Nothing in the room to stir the coffee!
Il ny avait pas d'eau courante dans ma chambre d'hôtel.
There was black mold in the room, stains on the pillows, strange sticky substance on the wall, and garbage left in the room from before we checked in.
Happy Camper
Really enjoyed my stay here. Toilet seat was busted... no biggie... and the water was hard to get right whether it was freezing or piping hot. Other than that great location for what I was trying to accomplish and rooms are super quiet. The bed was amazing. Extremely comfortable
👍👍
The property seemed dated and rooms were a little small. Good views of Chinatown and the Old Port in the distance. The room and common areas were fairly clean but not great. There was no electrical outlet near the one bed. We had two queen beds which were comfortable. Bathroom was modern and clean. It was nice that they allowed us to keep our luggage behind the desk while we walked in the city. Very central location. OK place to stay on a budget.
Great view & rate. Gym & Water Pressure no good
The location is fantastic - you're right on the border of China Town, and it's a short walk up to St Catherine, or down to Old Port. We had the Panoramic room and the view was amazing - we highly recommend it for the few dollars more. However, on the 12th floor we found that the water pressure was extremely weak, so taking a shower was not the best. Also, the gym is not great. It is tiny, and the bench/weight-stack does not work at all. They may as well get rid of it to make space for one (maybe 2?) more people. The staff was very nice and the hotel was clean - that was the most important part though :)
Floor in our room torn up and what they call a gym is kind of a disgrace of the term.
Review of Hotel Zero I had an incredibly disappointing stay at Hotel Zero. The place was filthy—there was hair all over the floors, which was absolutely disgusting. The elevator wasn’t working, forcing me to carry my luggage up multiple flights of stairs. It felt like no one cared about maintaining basic cleanliness or functionality. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Spend your money elsewhere.
Hotel is in a great walkable area. Staff during this stay were not the best with communication. I had to ask for extra towels/wash clothes 3x and finally received it the next day. Not the cleanest hotel but will do for short stays. Very small rooms and low beds.
Fire alarms going off all night long without any effort to communicate what was going on/stop the alarm. Pretty confident I got bitten by bugs while staying here.
Ok but inspect your room carefully
Glasses provided in the room were dirty. Used k-cups still next to coffee maker. Dirty pillow case on the bed.
10/10 loved it .
Booking through hotels.com
Room shown in the picture was quite large as compared to actual one. Very small ward robe. Imagine the sink is in the closet. I think they offer pathetic rooms once booked though hotels.com
The hotel is great. However, the receptionist was horrible and rude, she didn't explain things properly, and it seemed like she didn't want to work. Great location
No frills, but clean and comfortable, and with perfect walking access to the main tourist areas of the city.
위치가 정말 좋은 곳
Great location and a wonderful stay ! I truly loved this hotel.
Amazing place with such a modern style to stay for a vacation away from home!
There is a parking garage down the street easier then valet other than that the hotel is amazing there is a convenience store connected to the lobby and it was a fantastic time and experience
Confortable, propre et spacieux
Dormi une nuit, les 2 chambres étaient très propres et confortables. L'espace salon et le comptoir ont aussi été très appréciés! Très bien situé à proximité du Chinatown, centre ville, métro,...
Near of everything and Chinatown is in front a lot of homeless though
The hotel area is dark, beds are comfortable though. there is zero English information communication provided, considering tourists come to montreal one would think this would be available. Close to bus stops and metro. Some staff were great and approachable and others acted as if you were an inconvenience. I would not stay here again
Overall clean and nice
Sadly very low pressure in the shower.
Friendly staff, clean establishment, rooms are practical and organized, not as sound proof as advertised, the area around the hotel is convenient but could feel unsafe sometimes at night
Excellent stay for a solo traveller
Hotel was very conveniently located, walkable to the via rail station and local metros. Check in was easy and bed was comfy!
Great place and location
Great location worth the price. Walk to any major spot. Staff at frond desk are helpful.
Nice view on the city
The best hotel, i would lika back
Aucune insonorisation. J'entendais le voisin de la chambre voisine au téléphone comme si il était dans ma propre chambre.
Always a great stay at Hotel Zero1
At this point, all of my visits to Montreal include a stay at Hotel Zero1 - it's been an affordable way to feel like I'm getting some luxury for my stay. My one qualm this last visit was that the room was situated behind the elevator so the sounds of the elevator carried through quite a bit. (Unsure if this was because of the floor the room was on and the proximity to the engine.) Not enough to deter me from staying again for my next visit. :)
Nice cosy room
Nice cosy room…. Room on 12th floor with a view on Montreal….
It is located in the heart of downtown .
It’s very nice close to Chinatown and Gay Village 👍
Location was good
A little overpriced but great location.
Very good location and would stay again. Room was very clean and had good amenities (Loft space)
Good location
It’s good to stay.
Check in was easy, the Hotel overall was quiet and we had no major issues. The location was great - we did self park for cheaper at an offsite location. However this hotel is rated 4 stars and 8.5/10 on Expedia and I do not think it lives up to those standards. The upholstery in the room was torn, stained and all the furniture was chipped, stained and damaged. The headboard was falling apart, and the end of bed stool was extremely stained. The comforter did not have a cover, rather two top sheets folded around it which came undone as soon as you got in and exposed the stained duvet. There was no bottled water provided in the room for the coffee machine which is standard in hotels of this rating. I don't think for the price this was worth it. You could stay at something much better kept in the same area for cheaper.
We enjoyed our time there. The location was great.
Excellent spot right in the heart of downtown walking distance to everywhere.
All was good
They had an alarm that rang in the room through the night, and even in the morning, and all they could say is sorry it happenned to everyone, and the furniture in the room was stainned and some furniture is falling apart and has been for a long time
I’ve stayed here many times. Always satisfied with the room and service. Great location too.
Good location
Right in the centre of the city and a lot of attractions were at walking distance.
Bof
Cette hôtel était bien il y a 10 ans et plus mais maintenant Complètement désuet Attention le stationnement de veulent plus recevoir les pickup Zero1 c’est terminé à vie pour moi
The room itself was ok and self sufficient. Good bed, bathroom and closet space. There was also a fridge, microwave and sink. Wifi was free and good service. The hotel though is very dated and needs a refresh! The elevators are horribly slow. Also the area around the hotel is quite noisy. I was on the 10th floor and could still hear a decent amount of sounds with the windows closed. A few homeless people and panhandlers around almost throughout the day. While the hotel was good at communication, they need to make their emails dual language. Having just French emails is not helping. While I understand French is the language of Quebec, not everyone lives in Quebec or speaks French! Being close to Chinatown is an asset, good options for restaurants. Also close to the Metro and a large mall close by. It is also a 15-20 minute walk down to the Notre Dame basilica and old town of Montreal.
The alarm was going off in the middle of the night at random times.
Chic modern hotel at the heart of Montreal
A lot of places near walkable to dine
Its a great location near the Palais de Congress and the China Town.
Good location
Check out was awful
Front desk at check out was extremely rude. I asked about late check out and was told "No we gave too many away already" but disnt ask anout why i was asking. I asked to keep my bags. We gor back at 12:14 to collext the bag ans i asked to use the lobby washroom. Again the dame person said no even though i had been allowed to use it the evening before. I have a disability thst requires frequent washroom use and the lack of empathy or carinf was a shame. I usually like to stay here but may not bother again. The front desk seemed to not like two heavily tattooed women despite us paying like everyone else
Location and local flare
parking is expensive
Fair value for money. Good location. Bed could be more comfortable and TV was weird and difficult to operated but don’t watch much TV on vacation anyway
Rooms are clean and spacious and includes a microwave for heating food.
Good value
Nice hotel. The only thing is that the restaurant closes early and it is open only in weekends
4 stars, almost a perfect stay
I love this hotel. Its central, price is cheap and rooms are great. Only concern is when they are in a rush for valet parking... even if you call 15 min in advance as asked of you, they were late so i was then late to my appointment, even while leaving early. So make sure you call way in advance in rush hours near ur checkout.
We stay here regularly, and it’s always a good stay.
nice
They are friendly! My room is amazing. All is walkable all tourist attractions 😊 for sure im going back with my family and stayed in this hotel. Im really recommend this hotel. Thank you
Very quiet and comfortable. Location very convenient to Place Bonaventure etc.
Good location and walkable to many unique districts such as the Old Port, Latin Quarter and Old Town. Breakfast provided was good but got repetitive after several days.
The rooms and corridors are dated. The shower does not accommodate a normal built person. The remote control and the telephone were not working. The worst is the brunette lady who is responsible for the late machine. She was not friendly and abrupt. I had a voucher for breakfast . The picture regarding the buffet showed a latte . When I asked for one, she said that I have to pay for it even though the advertisement does not indicate that. Of course I did not buy it. She is condescending and arrogant. I don’t think these kind of people should work in hospitality at all.
Expected much more!
Service is not top; won’t come back!
You cannot go wrong with a stay at Zero. Very centrally located to all attraction sites
Hotel was clean and in a good location for touring around. Breakfast was decent. Overall really enjoyed my stay.
This hotel is very nice, our room and shower were comfy and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location. The breakfast is simple, but as expected for a quick, fast bite. We ate at Eggspectations for a breakfast(nearby). The underground mall had so much food, also nearby. Across the street was a multi restsurant dining experiance. Rue Catherine was so close and we walked that day and night for food, leisure. This hotel is in prime location for tourists.
I like cleanliness of the property. The continental breakfast every day is fine. Some of the people working at the reception are not friendly. It will be nice to put the television at the middle of the room instead on the side.
It was a good experience!!
I was just here for a quick stopover, but the staff were really friendly at both check in and check out. There was a nice courtyard view with seats from the little lobby in the hallway by my room that I noticed on my way out. The room had everything I needed including blackout curtains.
This is not a 4 star hotel, it’s very much a 3. So with being said it felt a bit overpriced. Fine for one night but wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a standard 4 star location. Wouldn’t stay here again.
I would come back to this Hotel again really happy with the service and the time spent as well
Very close to the China town and Old Montreal. Bed is comfortable but there aren't a lot of amenities.
Location is super convenient, there are homeless people asking for money.
It was nice place to access to downtown. lot of restaurant around there.
Great location
Short walk to old downtown and new downtown. Lobby was beautiful and clean. There is a sign to put on the door to have your room clean. We put out the sign but our room was never cleaned. Apparently you have to ask front desk.
I agree with what most people said, it is in the center of everything. Close to bus stops to and from airport. walking distance to metro station, old montreal, shopping mall, and across is chinatown
Great property, great location, walkable to a lot of Montreal's must-see attractions
There was nothing VIP about this stay. No room cleaning even after I asked for it. Had to ask for new towels every day
A good location and walkable to all the key attractions of Montreal. Hotel rather tired and room lacked workable plugs and a decent level of lighting - had to use the phone torch to use the coffee maker as it was so dark in the room.
Very nice hotel and was very thankful that housekeeping kept my item safe when I accidentally left it in my room after checking out. Thank you !
Polite staff
Very good stay
Nice property. Stylish. Top notch staff. Pity there’s people panhandling for changes outside.
Nice staffs and good location

They didn’t clean the room for 3 consecutive days. At some point the manager himself kept saying they will clean the room in 10 minutes, while I was waiting in the lobby. I would wait for about 30 minutes then checked and nothing happened. Then I had gone back to the manager to check again and he apologized and said it will be taken care of in about 5 minutes. I would wait in the lobby again for about 30 minutes and had checked and it turned out they didn’t clean again. I repeated the process 3 times and the same manager kept over promising the room will be cleaned in 10 minutes but nothing happened. On my last check with the receptionist the manager had left and so did the cleaning crew and I had no choice but waiting till next day. Next days they over promised again and the room didn’t get cleaned until the fourth day.
