Great!
The amenities are great. There is also a restaurant/bar that is super convenient and staff is friendly.
The games and s’mores were fun but it was cold and rainy so we couldn’t experience all of it. It was nice to have the bar/restaurant.
The location was perfect, the courtyard was really fun and safe for the kids to run around. Our room was lovely, balcony a huge hit. We will stay again.
Loved staying here on my visit to San Francisco. I felt safe, rooms were turned over everyday and even a bonus had smores every night. The only downside was you could hear everytime someone turned the water on or moved around on the floor above.
Property was close to everything, could walk to Piers, shopping, and dininh.
We loved being able to leave our vehicle in a safe place. We stayed in room # 3329. The wall paper needs to glued back down and the ceiling around the window covering needs to be repaired.
Close to many places
Great location on the sea front area. Lots of places to eat and drink very local
This place was clean and wonderful! Made me feel special for my birthday trip!
Rooms a bit outdated. I noticed the mattress was like yellow and the so called mattress protector. I was not a fan of that which made me a bit uneasy.
Not quite what I was expecting
The common areas are very impressive, but the hotel itself and rooms are more of a superficial makeover of a very dated property. Rooms are pretty small and the decor is a kitschy nautical theme.
Such a cool unique hotel!
Staff at reception seemed a little less than enthused... Asked the porter about a place to eat and he directed me to 711 around the corner... the inside of the facility appeared to be in some need of routine maintenance such as painting (elevators had worn chipped paint). Rooms were decent though not the best by no means the worst... they served their purpose for pleasant stay..
Very noisy on floor 4. Fighting and banging of hard surfaces. I realize that you cannot control your guests but it made my stay uncomfortable.
Great, quirky, enjoyable experience
Great hotel overall to stay at when in S.F. from views, amenities, to price! It’s in a fantastic location, walkable for morning exercise, shopping, restaurants, activities or public transportation & it’s right on the wharf! Our room overlooked the bay & Ferris wheel with large lanai! Hotel has Artsy feel with a fun & creative outdoor space, with games & fire pits! Easy parking! Friendly staff all around from front desk to housekeeper! Room was clean and we always felt safe! Definitely recommend staying at Zephyr Hotel!
The property was in a great location very close to Pier 39, lots of foods options and things around the area, beds were very comfy a lots of games in the entertainment areas.
Fine place to stay
The location is great and place is convenient. I would say everything else as far as amenities are just okay. If you are visiting a literally just need a semi comfy place to sleep, highly recommend.
Great for Family Trip
The room was walking distance from pier 39 great access to restaurants and stores it’s literally an all in one very family friendly they offer s’mores for the kiddos and soo many games inside and out that the kids can play ..Their is a delicious restaurant with a bar connected to the hotel. It was soo relaxing to sit next to fire pit at night and enjoy the beautiful evening in San Francisco. The rooms are nice and cozy very clean with a great view of the Farris Wheel and golden gate bridge we will definitely be going back soon
Outdoor courtyard is amazing. Pool table and cue sticks need to be restored or replaced.
The hotel was clean amd in a great location. The staff was extremely friendly amd helpful.
I loved the game room and the smores at the fire pits! So fun!
Very nice
excellent stay! staff were very helpful and always willing to satisfy. felt very safe and great amenities.
This place is amazing!! My only complaint is that my feet hurt because the hotel is walking distance to so many places we couldn’t stop! Everything is about a mile or under to walk to. We walked Coit Tower, Little Italy, Chinatown, Ghirardelli Square, Pier 39, Lombard St. and Trader Joe’s during our two nights there. The nice thing is, except for coit Tower and Lombard St. our walks weren’t up any crazy steep roads.
Reception area and outside patio/ games area is really cool.
It was convenient to the things we wanted to see. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Area was ok. Few homeless on the streets around the building but there were also security guards. Concierge was very helpful. Staff was friendly. Game room was fun. Fire pits and s'mores were a nice touch.
It was in the perfect location to tour the area and find great food..
The property was cute, but needs to be updated. Super old or just poor craftsmanship in the rooms.
Cool Hotel
The hotel is a fun and funky place right on the wharf in the heart of everything. The big ferriswheel is just steps away from the hotel. So many great restaurabts close by. Coulnt ask for a better location. Will definitely stay there again. The hotel has a vety cool vibe.
Parking was soo expensive 1 star
Great hotel for families
Love this hotel. Great location right by ward, lots to do on site, great place for families, better parking than most hotels here. Staff is always friendly and helpful. My family and I always stay here when visiting S.F. ward. Room is always very clean and comfortable.
The outside was coo and game room also liked that you can go through restaurant to get to pier. view was awesome. Bathrooms are way too small. Light our room flickered. Thermostat wasn’t working correcting, and the double beds are fulls. And I’m not sure if call them pillow top. Service was amazing. Walkable by everything fun to do
Rooms was very spacious. Looby and courtyard were very nice, plenty of things to do.
Room smelled moldy. Had a street facing room that was incredibly noisy. It definitely was not 4 star quality and expected more given the price
Great place for families
Such a fun place to stay. The game room and patio with fire pits were a blast and the location was great! Very friendly service too.
Easy
Quick and easy
The hotel is a great location for many things. Walking stance to pier 39. Quiet atmosphere. The gaming area was really nice. We didn’t get to use it because of weather but it would be a great time if we had better weather. Our room had a very MUSTY and MOLDY smell. There is definitely water damage somewhere in the room we stay in. 2218 was our room. The pillows were very thick and hard. Those weren’t my favorite.
Nice place and excellent services
!!COCKROACHES BEWARE!! Found several cockroaches in my room on the second and last night of my trip including in the bed. They also infested my luggage and emerged when I began to unpack back at my home. After alerting the hotel, they responded by refunding the resort free of roughly $70. With this refund, paying about $150/night for a cockroach infested room is not something I would do again.
Avoid. Rooms are not worth the high cost and parking is expensive.
Amazing place with fun activities. As locals definitely coming back
Comfortable and clean room. The person in the lobby is very friendly. The hotel is very clean and with very entertaining activities.
Hotel was in a great location, rooms seemed clean until I was washing my face and saw the black yuck around the upper part of the sink.
My room was excellent. It even included a dart board.
Great family friendly hotel in a great location. It’s not a luxury hotel but it’s clean and comfortable and the staff are helpful. Games room and outdoor courtyard are also nice.
Great place with great location. The game room and outdoor courtyard with fire pits and complimentary S-mores was nice. Highly recommend if you are looking for something affordable, with a good location that isn't cookie cutter.
Nice stay less then a 5 minutes walking to pier39 Room had a balcony with a nice view towards the water. Will definitely stay again and recommend
Place was filthy like it hadnt been touched. Sheets not changed. Just very bad. My waterfront view was a roof.
Favorite place to stay in SF
Cool property with a lot of amenities! Comfortable, well-appointed, clean rooms. Concierge was very helpful with ideas of places to see and eat. Loved the outdoor court… and the s’mores packets they gave out!
This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in while traveling. The location was great and across from Pier 33. It was clean, friendly, and we loved the accommodations like ping pong and roasting smores. We also like the restaurant connected to it. I highly recommend staying here.
Hotel itself is cute and artsy. Streets on each side of building very scary. Felt very unsafe. Checked out after one night of a four night stay.
Close to waterfront and easy to get to downtown. Nice and affordable.
Great service!
Convenient
Love how convenient and close it was to the pier. It was family friendly however I did not feel too safe as a single mom in the room. It had a big slit under the main door to the room that was big enough for someone to push something into the room. It was very loud and you could hear everyone closing their room doors. I would probably stay again if the door was not that open.
The property is very unique. I usually stay in four star hotels and this one did not disappoint me. Location was great. My only bad tick would be that the showers needed better cleaning at the base of the tiles. Quite black. Rooms were great and a good size. Wonderful common area with lots of different types of gaming tables and games. Fire pits with s’mores in another courtyard outside at night. S’mores provided by the hotel at check-in. They have water filling stations on each level and provided a bottle for each room occupant at check-in. No problem with the requested VIP upgrade.
This is a super cute hotel with nice amenities, particularly if you have kids. There's a big playroom with several games and tables for adults to gather. Rooms were spacious enough (for SF) and very clean and mostly updated. The only downside is the proximity to Fisherman's Wharf, which has its pluses (easy access to restaurants, shopping, boats, etc) but also it's a bit dingy, crowded, and noisy. Overall, a nice stay.
Great property and wonderful location. I've stayed here a number of times. The decor is a bit quirky (nautically themed), but it's a nice place to spend a few days.
Good location, clean room and comfy beds.
Great service!
Superb location.
Superb location. Great entertainment nearby.
The old building. Not friendly staff
Incredible staff, great location. Really cool design themes with the shipyard stuff going on.
We don’t live far from San Francisco but decided to do a short weekend trip anyway. This hotel was great! It was the perfect location for us with lots of things to do in walking distance from the hotel. Their courtyard area is fun for kids and adults. Our dog had a great stay too! We’d certainly stay there again if we go to SF.
Fun modern convenient walkable nice art work cool people staying there
Close to lots of stuff but sketching in the evening especially
Location is priceless!!! Very clean and staff friendly. The outdoor area with the fire pit is so cozy and nice.
As close as a tourist could want to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. Public transit goes right past the door.
SF has better options
For an emergency, that’s OK for the price. You can find something better.
Fantastic hotel. Great location, games room and amenities will keep you busy. Clean rooms, lovely staff. Our only issue was firm beds but it’s a preference
This was a great location and fun family friendly spot right near the pier! Everything walkable. Fun games and courtyard. Great food at on site restaurant. Parking expensive! But close and convenient.
The hotel is in a nice location and has a 24/7 grocery store below it and a restaurant. It is an old hotel but clean nevertheless. A 24-hour front desk is also another good feature. I was surprised that I was asked to pay more than what was listed on Expedia, but I found out later that some hotels have fees that you have to pay other than the flat rate listed on Expedia. It was a great experience and the staff were nice. Would recommend.
Clean, on the wharf, would recommend
We stayed at this hotel 10 years ago when it was a Raddison and newly renovated- it was and still is clean, modern and wonderful. It has a game room, an outdoor area with fire pits for s’mores, and has a restaurant that connects to the wharf. It is right on fisherman’s wharf, minutes walk from all cool family tourist spots. The rooms were clean, we were told all rooms had refrigerators- ours also had a microwave. Overall family friendly hotel. It is reasonably priced and we can’t wait to stay again soon.
The lobby area was fun and relaxing
Great location and facilities such as table tennis and fire pits for toasting marshmallows.
Great location. Room hotels need to be updated.
My room was so cold and I was unable to turn on any heat. There was also not any water pressure. The s’mores package was fun and the game room and lobby hangout area was really great. Spent most of my time at the hotel here.
Pros: Great location, clean room, balcony was a nice touch, and parking was safe and convenient. Cons: Beds were extremely uncomfortable, making it hard to sleep, and we almost left after the first night. The front desk staff was rude when I called to ask a question. During our stay, security unnecessarily approached my husband in the lobby and asked him to leave—assuming he wasn’t a guest based on his appearance. That was infuriating. The coffee maker in the room was filthy and disgusting. Additionally, the $75 daily amenity fee is excessive and should be disclosed at booking. The area was also very noisy, with loud music until 3 a.m. Overall, I would not stay here again.
I really liked this property. The location was wonderful and walking distance to everything!
The hotel was nice, a little run down in the rooms. The check in process was difficult as I had done the online check in, but it didn’t work. The staff at the front desk stayed behind a large computer screen and didn’t communicate well. The game room was great for teenagers. The property was quirky and fun and had it not been raining, the s’mores would have been fun as well.
Terrible bad communication
I enjoyed the stay
👍
This was our 3rd year back to Zephyr. It’s usually our favorite place but there were a lot of problem's. The pillows and blankets felt different. Crunchy and like being wrapped in newspaper. The room smelled like feet and weed. The tub/shower was slimy and the drain was clogged. Very noisy neighbors with kids screaming and banging on the walls between 12am-5am 3 nights in a row. The fire alarm went off 2 nights in a row at 3am. I was approved for a late check out and paid extra but housekeeping came into the room when I was showing and then knocked on the door 2 times to ask when I was checking out. It just felt like the service and vibe was off. Maybe the Zephyr was sold or under new management? I hope they get it together again. The hotel has so much potential and is in a great location.
perfect spot!
Location is perfect for exploring Fishermans Wharf, Ghiradelli square. On site parking and lots of restaurants very close by
Great location
Great location, helpful staff. The only issue I had was noise. Rooms are not very sound proof as you can hear people in the hallway very clearly, and around 4am the water pipes made a loud glanging sound that woke me up.
Staff was great. Hotel was clean. Amenities were perfect for our family. Right on Pier 39/Fishermans Wharf. Hardly needed transportation. Big Bus City Tours conveniently located around the corner where we got to see all the city. CVS and 7-ELEVEn I. Opposite ends for convenient quick food. Microwave and fridge in-room allowed for food storage and leftovers.
Halls were smelly, walls rusty, no chair in the room, no microwave. Not my choice next time.
Great property !!
Good location and the yard games are convenient with family. Property is outdated, a/c units are old and thus there was poor air circulation. TV's are not streaming compatible. Beds were ok. Loved the quality of toiletry products.
Very comfortable beds. Lots of fun activities to do. Conveniently located to Pier 39 activities.
Great location.
The property itself was nice and convenient to the Peirs. Wish we would have gotten a discount for have to leave hotel at 3:30 in the morning due to fire alarm going off. And then next night it also went off, but only rang once then quit. Besides that I would recommend.
There was mold in the shower. stains on the wall. art was warped on the wall.
The only issue was the fire alarm going off at 3-4am. Other than that it was a great stay

Awesome place for a short family trip
Great location with an amazing view! The staff was kind and accommodating and it was super affordable. Great value!!
