Beautiful hotel, great service, on the beach, amazing breakfast. Pizza restaurant next to hotel is great. Filled with local residents, extensive menu, best pizza we had on trip. Wish we had stayed here longer. Forget Monaco and stay here. Great service, they locked our bikes in their private garage. Get a room with patio and view of ocean.

Great place

The best shower we’ve had in 4 weeks of travel! Bed very comfy, nice breakfast in great position away from the madness of Menton and Monte Carlo!

Amazing views, great room, 24/7 reception. Disappointed with inaccurate parking description. None available upon arrival after midnight with two sleepy kiddos. Not a great first impression. Luckily there was a spot available right across the street. Concerned re: two potential fire hazards in the room. Reported to the front desk but was dismissed as normal. Breakfast was good. Location was amazing. Would stay here again.

Modern updated interior.

The hotel from the outside is not too pressive. It is the ground and first floor of apartment building. However once inside it was modern with nice photos in the hallways. The room itself was a bit small but had an updated modern look and finish. There was a balcony that looked out to the side street. A nice location across the street from the water and nighttime free parking on the street. Would happily stay again

We LOVED this hotel and its location. It is on the beach promenade that extends from Menton to the Eileen Gray residence in the Corbusier walking road. It’s a sweet find!

Superb 5 night stay at Hotel Victoria

Hotel location was super, right on the promenade. We had a lovely sea view, highly recommended. Staff were superb throughout and extremely helpful with our limited French language skills. We had a good bit of banter with them. Gave us information on local restaurants and bus timetables etc. Room was spotlessly cleaned daily with tea and coffee and soft drinks in mini bar replenished. Hotel loans you deck chairs and towels for the beach if you ask for them. Easy to catch train to NICE and MONACO from local station. Roquebrune Cap Martin resort had a nice relaxed, chilled vibe to it. All in all a fantastic stay and we would definitely return.

One night stopover.

We were slightly confused at first, as the Hotel is adjacent to a residence with a similar name. No offstreet parking directly in front of the Hotel, which made unloading bags tricky, fortunately street traffic was light as we were parked on the foot path with hazard lights on. Check in was delayed as the room wasn't quite ready which was puzzling as it was well after 3 pm. In the meantime, I went to park the car in a secure municiple carpark a short distance away. Not a real inconvenience and a short walk back. As it was for one night we didn't pay extra for a sea view so unsurprisingly it was less than spectacular. The room itself was spotless and clean on the whole. Large with all the modern conveniences and plenty of storage for bags. A free minibar WITH drinks inside was appreciated. Rooms are as dictated in the pictures so generally very nice. Anomalies - extractor fan above the shower didnt work and had something growing inside. Shower glass partition didn't seal at all so water ended up on the floor...alot! A light fitting in the bathroom didn't work and a couple of unsightly dings in the wall and scuffed mouldings need attention. However, a very comfortable night. Hotel is directly opposite a nice pebble beach and next to a very nice italian restaurant (well priced). The breakfast buffet was actually very good and regularly attended by staff. Coffee machine not so good, and needs decalcifying. Friendly staff and prompt with providing a business invoice.

The staff went above and beyond! The Roquebaum cap Martin area is very tranquil. 40 minutes to Nce city center 40 minutes to Sanremo city center. Good breakfast - surcharge for eggs other than hard boiled. Parking is horrible if you are driving Train station is less than 10 minutes walking Gigi(Ghislaine) at the restaurant was amazing every morning at breakfast and extremely helpful

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very close to the train so getting around was economical and easy. I enjoyed my stay at hotel Victoria.

Pure excellence

Just excellent. Say no more 🌞 Friendly, stylish, comfortable. Lovely staff. Excellent location. Just superb! (For comparison we came from Cannes, where we were not happy). Hotel Victoria rules💪🌞

It is exactly as reviewed, nothing much in the outside the the room was great with a terrace looking at the water and very quiet! Air conditioning worked great, the bathroom is amazing and bed super comfortable. Breakfast downstairs is great as well. Staff is super friendly and multi-lingual.

Great location very nice place. The rooms are a bit small but the view to the ocean is beautiful. Our only complaint is the shower, is slippery and narrow My 85 year old mom fell badly because there was no safety bar to hold on to. Thank Gd no serious injury but a bump in her head ..

Welcoming stay and clean comfortable room

The people who work there are so sweet and helpful and concerned that everything is just right. The hotel is spotless. It felt like we were in a new room. The bed was super comfortable. We are a couple with a dog. Very dog friendly. I would say this is a dream hotel for families. Nice open welcoming lobby. Across from beach and a beautiful view

This hotel took me by surprise. From the outside it looks simple. Then you enter…the hall is chick, the doors modern and the inside screams 5 stars boutique hotel. Only 10 mnts drive to Monaco and right in front of the ocean! Can’t wait to visit again!!

Wonderful stay at a wonderful hotel

I had a lovely stay at the Victoria Hotel. It is the second time that I have stayed here and I plan on returning. I chose a sea view room which I would recommend. I love how close the ocean is and hearing the waves. The balconies have very comfortable seating and I spent a fair amount of time reading and eating on the balcony when I wasn't out exploring the area. The hotel is well kept and the staff are very helpful. There are many things to do close by in this lovely area of southern France. It is a short walk to the Carnoles train station and the hotel location is close to the ocean path that connects with Monte Carlo...and actually further if you wish.

This hotel is directly opposite the beach. It is half an hour’s walk along the promenade to the charming town of Menton. Its decor is contemporary, the rooms are clean and a good size. Loved it. The only minus is that there is no pool but the sea is just a hop and a skip away.

We like the property, the only inconvenience is the Wifi doesn’t work for our iPhone.

The staff were absolutely wonderful, the breakfast was great as well. More than enough selection each morning. The view was amazing and the town was safe. A mere 4 miles walk along a seaside path to Monaco. Definitely would stay again

Excellent location. Easy check in/out. Spotlessly clean. Literally across the street from the beach. Short and beautiful walk along the beach to restaurants, shopping, and banks. Excellent WiFi. Free parking. Comfortable bed. Refrigerator in room stocked with complimentary water, soda, and juice. I cannot say anything negative about this hotel, and for the price, it’s unbeatable.

Receptionist on arrival was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful which was very off putting. This was a shame because the hotel was in all other aspects very pleasant

Location was near the beach and the train station but was a distance from many of the things I wanted to see and do. As a tourist it would have been better to stay in Nice were there are more activities and many of the tours originate from there.

Good location, nice rooms good views. Only few parking spots must reserve in advance. Right at the beach the staff is very friendly and helpful. Also very nice restaurant right under the hotel. Only minus is that they charge extra for room service. I ordered something for 6 euros and paid extra 3 for delivery :), but would recommend anyway its a nice place to stay.

Great place near the ocean

Our stay at Hotel Victoria was excellent. The hotel is very close to the beach and sitting on the balcony of the room gave us a great view of the Mediterranean and was very relaxing. The extra space of having a large balcony on which to relax in nice chairs and have lunch or a coffee really made the stay much more pleasant. Staff were very nice and the space was very clean (meticulously clean and well kept would be more apt) and well appointed. The washroom was large and the rain shower was superb....we loved it. For a relaxing getaway this is a perfect place, we hope to be back.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Victoria. We had a beautiful sea view room, which was very clean and well maintained. Complimentary beverages were provided in the in-room refrigerator.

The beach is just in front of the hotel and the staff were very friendly. Would visit again.

Really nice hotel. Location is the best, minutes from Beautiful Menton on the west and a few minutes from famous Monaco on the east. We arrived at around midnight, and enjoyed the sound of the sea from our room all night, and in the morning we woke up to breathtaking view of the see and sun!! rooms are tastefully renovated and decorated; staff is friendly and warm..... and breakfast is a high quality continental. We will definitely go back and would recommend it to everyone.

Very comfortable

Really lovely little hotel, very clean, very comfortable and the staff were lovely and helpful. Right on the beach which was great and a very tasty bakery downstairs.

Clean and bright with some reservations..

Clean bright Hotel and well positioned. I would pay for the sea view next time as my 'classic' room had a terrible view and no balcony. The USB socket did not work which was annoying. The room itself was good with a very comfortable bed and a replenished free mini bar which was also very thoughtful. I would stay again but with the sea view option.

Nice room average service

Ok hotel with cozy large rooms. I’m not sure why it’s a 4star hotel as it doesn’t have any amenities beyond the room itself. Staff are not very friendly but still professional. Gave us a room with a split bed even though it was sold as a double/king bed. Room wasn’t available when we showed up at 2 checkin time. Breakfast is very good.

The Victoria is a small, friendly and well located hotel adjacent to a busy beach. It has modern fully appointed rooms with excellent views across the bay to Menton and Italy. The staff are warm and very happy to help. It doesn't have a restaurant, breakfast is served in the bar area, but there are many good food places nearby. It is a good choice if you are looking in this area.

It’s no much to look at from the outside, but sea view is stunning. Room contemporary and modern. Bed & pillows very comfy. Pleasantly surprised. Plus free mini bar!

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel at least 3 times and keep coming back as we really enjoy the room, staff, and hotel in general. Last week when we stayed, we had the breakfast at the hotel - which we haven't done before. It was fantastic.

Nice Hotel Close to Beach.

Loved the view from the room. Above the busy SS1 which runs along the coast but most places are. Windows block out noise at night and having windows open with wonderful view during day was fine. Easy access to beach via outside elevator down to road.

A friendly staff, clean room, close to the Train station but Not in Monaco

Nice Location, Clean & Quiet Room

Had a non-ocean facing room but was great in that it was very quiet at night and you could sleep with the window open. Staff were very pleasant and room clean. Quality towels and nice deep bath. Water had a quite a strong sulphur-type smell sometimes like which wasn't great -not sure if it is always that way and there is currently construction noise next door. Internet was a bit slow in the room also. I would still stay again though as the water smell may be temporary and the construction will end.....the quietness and sleeping with window open was a big plus to me.

Miami Beach feel.

We read the reviews and it sounded too good to be true. But to our surprise it really was. Very clean and staff was very helpful. A very cost effective way to have a holiday next to Monaco. Will highly recommend.

Great location

We enjoyed three perfect days at this hotel The scenery in the immediate vicinity is quite beautiful It is also easy to travel to Monaco, Nice and all the other beautiful places in between by bus or train The negative about this area is that we did not find anywhere to have a decent, reasonably priced meal that wasn't pizza.

Excellent base for French Riviera Visit

This is a great hotel with magnificent sea view rooms. The hotel is basically the first floor of a bigger apartment complex. It served for us as a base for our French Riviera however you might as well use it as a summer holiday hotel. It has very easy access to a small public beach at the front. The breakfast was good. We will definitely think of rebooking at this place if we ever visit the region again.

Lovely hotel, great location

Hotel was very nice, good location for touring along the riveria. Bus stop nearby and a bit further up the train will take you anywhere for a few euro and it's very fast. Hotel staff lovely especially Gabriel! Pizzeria next door and some nice cafes. On the way to the train station is a nice bread shop the sandwiches are yummy and girls very helpful!

Welcome to the French Riviera

This hotel is beautiful. It is magically positioned directly opposite the beach. The waters are pristine and you can swim comfortably any time of the day or night. The staff were very welcoming and very eager to assist us in any way they could. There is a popular Italian restaurant next door but we chose a French place in the hillside which we will undoubtedly go back to should we return on our next holiday.

Our first night was disappointing

The change of room made it better.Its an great hotel for beach lovers.It was not what we expected.I would only recommend sea view rooms.

4 star - a stone's throw from the beach

The hotel Victoria is set on the seafront in Roquebrune. Book a sea view room front, it's worth it The hotel has been recently refurbished and the guestrooms all have a similar theme, blue and white colour scheme and various artist references. The bathroom is spacious and featured the most amazing waterfall shower . The bed was generous and amazingly for France it was comfortable . The main thing about this hotel has its location, it is literally just a stones throw from the beach, but I use the word reservedly because the beaches here are made of very large stones. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel which will take you two and from Nice airport. You can also get buses to Monaco and if you don't fancy walking, to Menton. The hotel offers parking at 15 euros per night - you need to book! There is a complimentary minibar, a nice touch, offering a range of soft drinks. The hotel also has deckchairs for the beach. Two disappointments: no pool. I knew this when I booked but didn't know how pebbly the beach is. There was also an invasion of jellyfish when we were there and therefore swimming was out f the question. Secondly, breakfast. It was clearly a surprise that guests might need glasses, cups, plates etc. It is a buffet breakfast, limited in choice and imagination. The only thing creative is the price of 14 euros. Don't let this put you off the hotel, it is a work in progress clearly, and there are other local options available.

Summer 2016 vacation

Your hotel is located in an excellent location, very close to the beach and nice restaurants. Bathrooms were upgraded and very clean, however, the guest rooms were small and also I wish your hotel would offer free breakfast.

Great hotel

This is a fine hotel in all respects. But be careful about the noise. You can choose between sea view with traffic noise, or a room on the back of the hotel which is quite quiet.The breakfast is just excellent.

Nice mid-century modern hotel in Roquebrune

I stayed a single night in February at the Hotel Victoria. My room was a sea-view on the first floor, with a view about at the palm tree frond level, stretching all the way down the promenade into the center of Menton. The room itself is recently updated with very eye-popping blue and white colors, definitely a bit of Las Vegas or Austin Powers vibe going on, in my opinion--in a good way. The room was spacious, bed soft, bathroom clean, elegant and functional. I may have been the only one staying there in the off-season. One potential negative: it's a bit of a walk down the beach to the center of Menton--albeit a highly pleasant walk! You could get closer to the center in the off-season and be closer to the action. Still, for the price and comfort, I rate the Victoria highly.

Best hotel of my Mediterranean tour

I stayed in 5 hotels on this trip, and Hotel Victoria was far and away the best of the best. Its location can't be beat. Cross the street, and you're in the Mediterranean. A bit of a walk and 10 minutes on the train, and you're in Monte Carlo. Go the other way, and you're in Menton. Catch a bus, and you're at an historic castle. Walk toward Menton, and you've got your choice of restaurants. LE FANAL, close to the hotel, is unbeatable. The free minibar and welcoming were incredible. (However, if you finish the free water, get more from the grocery around the corner. It was cheaper for 6x as much water.). This is where I will come every time I return.

The hotel is o.k. the parking is a challenge. The room was very clean.

Pleasant surprise.

I made a last minute booking and must admit the hotel exceeded my expectations. Very functional and chic room with an amazing view. The staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating. The only issue was the parking situation. The municipal parking which has a number of spots reserved for the hotel is a five minute walk away. Overall it was a superb stay!

A great hotel overlooking the beach

We stayed for four nights in June. We enjoyed everything about this hotel and its location. Very helpful staff. We always managed to park on the road in front of the hotel. Sunday parking is free. It is an easy walk along the sea front to Menton. Regular buses from outside the hotel to Monaco. Easy to get to Nice by bus (number 100) by taking the bus from town. It only costs E1.50 each way and the journey is about one hour. Buses are air conditioned and very comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and there is an Italian restaurant next door. It is very reasonable to eat at the hotel. The resort is very near to the Italian border with a beautiful pebble beach. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Comfort in style, well located

Great relaxing stay in awesome position. No in the hussle of Menton nor Monte Carlo. Bus just out front to Monte Carlo and Nice. Lovely staff and willing to help. Beach just over the road. Menton a 20min walk away to many restaurants and there is a italian restaurant next door, but MUST book.

Clean and friendly, Great location

Hotel reception staff very friendly and efficient, cool drink offered on arrival, the hotel has a lift, the rooms were very clean and comfortable with a king size bed, balcony overlooking the beach, chairs available for beach to hotel guest, for 10 Eros a day you can hire a lounge bed just across the road at a great little restaurant. Casino in mention 5 min drive, under renovation but was a fun night out.

A 4 star which wasn't.

Getting there from Germany was not a problem; from hotel curb-side to the reception, however, was. The property has 3 or 4 parking spaces, which are inevitably taken most of the time. You are expected to find yourself parking a few 100 metres away, which for a handicapped person is not ideal. Other than that, the hotel staff were very friendly, perhaps not as efficient as I would have expected.

Room with a view.

Really clean and comfortable hotel. Nicely appointed room with modern artistic decor. We had a room at the front and therefore a wonderful view of the Med. A little confusion over parking but we did get a spot in a garage used by the hotel 300 metres away. Would stay again. Be aware there is a busy road directly in front of the building and this might be too noisy for some.

Amazing Hotel

I carnt say enough about this hotel and the staff, if you want an amazing break stay here, the hotel over looks the beach, our room was beautiful, clean, roomy. Honestly we didnt want to leave. Staff were lovely, so helpful. We stayed in England and Italy as well, but this hotel was the best, we would go back.
