Like the VIP lounge area very much!
Friendly staff, easy check in. Close to many stations & restaurants. Walking distance to Tokyo Tower. Guest lounge was great for an afternoon drink before heading out to dinner. Great buffet breakfast, many western & Japanese choices. Only downside, no laundry onsite. Tip - on Mita subway line use exit A8 as it has an elevator if you have luggage. A10 if you are happy to use stairs.
good hotel
Lovely stay in Tokyo
The hotel was really nice. And the hospitality was excellent. The breakfast was amazing. The location was far from shops and other restaurants, but if you are willing to walk about 15 minutes there are restaurants. Shiba Park and Tokyo Tower is a 10 to 15 miute walk and well worth seeing. Very pleased with Celestine Hotel. I would not try the corn soup at the coffee shop in the hotel.
spacious room and incredible view. The staff is also very nice and professional
Cozy, modern and clean. Nice breakfast. Room was small but as expected at this price point in Tokyo. Location is within a few minutes of subway stations but not much going on near hotel save Tokyo tower at 10 minutes walk. Less appreciated: iffy wifi in room and inadequate gym.
Really great hotel, particularly for the price. They offered so many amenities that you would normally only expect from very expensive hotels. Our room, while certainly on the smaller side, had an incredible view of the city with Mt. Fuji visible during the day, as well as a well sized and high tech bathroom, a super comfortable bed and a free coffee and tea cabinet. The staff were so welcoming and helped us with many logistics. I don’t know what more you could want from a hotel at this price point!
This hotel is a very convenient option for anyone visiting Tokyo. It offers exceptional cleanliness, as is typical in Japan, and while the rooms are small, this is expected for Tokyo. Guests can enjoy 24/7 access to free bean-to-cup coffee, along with snacks and wine served around 7 PM. However, one major drawback is the unreliable internet connection, with frequent data drops every 4-5 minutes and delays of 2-3 minutes before reconnecting. This can be incredibly frustrating, especially given the hotel’s location in Tokyo, not a remote area or a small Caribbean island.
It’s my favorite hotel when staying in Tokyo!
Tokyo Stay
Rooms are very small. If you have large luggage, makes it difficult to maneuver around the room. Restaurant closes early. No late food options. Staff abd service is exceptional.
Lounge access was nice for afternoon drinks. Nice patio in lounge was a plus. Easy access to Narita airport per the Asakusa line. Area is quiet as there are mainly office buildings. There is a 7-11 on first floor. Our room was a little small and might need to clean the air purifier. Gym only has cardio equipment.
Propert is nice but a bit older, the area is nice too but it’s more of a business area so not much things to do around
Wonderful hotel, I enjoyed my stay a lot.
Quiet area. Decent hotel however a lil too pricey for the location and size of hotel rooms.
A good choice for Tokyo visit
Stayed 4 nights with my wife. Hotel is not in a night life section of Tokyo and was perfectly fine for our stay. It is quiet, luxury and a detailed oriented place. Breakfast buffet has western and Japanese options. Mita station is about 8 minutes walk. Around the station there are few dining streets populated by locals. A 30 minutes walk on the road in front of the hotel takes you to imperial palace area. The only negative thing I can comment on is the cafe of the hotel. It is subpar and expensive. In summary, it was a good choice for us.
Will stay again
If you are looking for a quiet stay, this hotel is in the right location. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. The location is convenient to train stations to any place in Tokyo and easy access to the shinkanse.
Spacious room and very nice staff
As our first stop in Japan, this hotel made a great impression. The staff here epitomizes hospitality and we felt welcomed. It was nice to be away from the major areas such as Shinjuku and Shibuya but it’s close enough to take public transit or a taxi. We really enjoyed our first time in Tokyo and our stay at the Celestine Hotel Shiba.
Great staff, clean and convenient. Lounge access was very appreciated given ghe smaller size of rooms, as it is generally yhe cas in Japan.
Comfortable stay
I stayed at Hotel Celestine on my first two nights in Japan. My plane landed super early in the morning and after a long day of sightseeing, I was beat by the time I checked in later that afternoon. This hotel has one of the BEST bed, pillows and comforter. I slept so well my first night and was able to shake off my jetlag which is unheard of. The room itself was smaller than I expected but the bed more than made up for the lack in square footage of the room. Location for me was great. It's located in a commercial area so it's very quiet at night. Breakfast buffet has both western and japanese selections and has good array of choices. The only con I would say was lack of tv channel selections. It would have been nice to have CNN or BBC available instead of the endless home shopping channels.
It was an amazing stay.
This is a good stay
Very comfortable, quiet. Small tight room, but still comfortable.
Had a great stay. Spacious room with an awesome view. Super close to the metro station. The staff was welcoming and friendly.
It's amazing and clean room.
Quiet and clean
Located in a quiet area but very close to two metro stations so easy to get around. Very easy access to Haneda airport. Rooms are clean and quiet. Ours had a wonderful view over the city and of the Tokyo tower. Only disappointing aspect was that we asked the hotel for recommendations of somewhere local to eat and were refused and directed to use a restaurant app instead. They also said they wouldn't be able to book a table for us on the day we checked in or checked out which seemed a little odd given how accommodating all other hotels we stayed in had been.
For the price, this hotel is hard to beat in Tokyo.
Great location, friendly people, good value!
Very nice property the location was quiet and never busy like the big touristy areas of Tokyo. It's walking distance to Mita Station (Haneda airport access) and Tamachi Station (JR access). It's walkable to the Tokyo Tower area which has lots of restaurants, souvenir shops, etc. The hotel is very nice, large rooms and bathrooms which aren't so common in Tokyo. They have a rooftop patio and lounge that are relaxing and very nice for fresh air throughout the day. They also have a fitness center which is somewhat rare for Tokyo. It only has cardio machines, which was very disappointing given how business friendly the hotel seems. There's also Lawson and 7-Eleven stores nearby. There are two very good coffee shops that are walking distance (Lit Coffee and Is Life Cafe), both had amazing coffee and Lit has great food. We were also able to store our luggage for a few hours after we checked out which was very nice. They even have luggage transfer service to the airport where for about $20 you can have your luggage waiting for you at the airport. Overall I would definitely book this hotel again.
Had the most beautiful city view room. Would definitely come back.
WiFi was really bad in the corner of the building where my room was. Had to toggle WiFi off to use cell service numerous times (didn’t have the same issue with laptops so maybe just the 5g WiFi signal). Area is oriented to office workers so some of the stuff nearby is closed on weekends still easy to walk to areas with restaurants. Zojoji temple is close by
Comfortable and quiet
We enjoyed our stay at The Celestine. The staff was amazing and very gracious. Our only issue was the bathroom shower curtain had a mildewy smell. It looked clean and the room was cleaned every day. It was only the shower curtain that had a lingering mildewy smell. Nonetheless, we would stay again at The Celestine.
The hotel is in a convenient area where it is next to multiple connecting stations and convenience stores. There is also a nice neighborhood food district where we ate at sushikane which was so good. I would have to say that overall the hotel deserves a 4/5 it had nice amenities. The main reason it didnt get 5 stars was because our room wasn't cleaned well. There were stains on the carpet and some black mold and dust bunnies. Also some hair in the shower which is what made me give it 4 stars. Other than that, the staff is very kind and helpful, nice area, affordable, complimentary snacks, drinks, and pajamas.
Good hotel
Staff very friendly which is important in a foreign country as English is a second language. Breakfast decent. Snack on 14th floor spot on. Walk distance to the tower. Daily room cleaned is nice. We enjoyed staying at Celestine hotel.
Rooms are slightly tight but I guess that’s the norm in Tokyo
We had a lovely large corner room with good amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. Great local restaurants - searching on Google reviews. Travelled by Uber from Tokyo station and left for Shinagawa station, as it was closer. Good walking distance to Zojo-ji temple. We were limited by the heat of the day. Other opportunities went unexplored. The evening drinks and nibbles were a nice touch but limited. A pleasant stay for 2 nights.
First visit to Tokyo and it was amazing! The staff was perfect, polite, respect and plain amazing couldn’t ask for a better place.
We had a wonderful time at this hotel! The staff was so welcoming and helpful. We booked one of the city view corner suites, which had a great view, including a view of the Tokyo Tower. The breakfast buffet was affordable and delicious. The location was convenient and close to a metro station. There was a gym but it only had cardio equipment. Also a coin laundry would have been nice, but there are multiple coin laundry stores close by. In the afternoons they have free wine and beverages in their relaxation room. Overall a great experience!
The hotel was simply amazing. We loved the view from the room, and the room was well equiped with toiletries and everything you need for your stay. Staff was so friendly and polite. The hotel is in a safe quiet area in a very close proximity to Tokyo Tower and a nice park with temples. It is also couple mins walk from two tube stations. There are complimentary afternoon drinks including beer and wine that you can enjoy on a nice terrace. We also tried the breakfast and lunch which were great and had an excellent massage! Overall it was perfect, I'd recommended to everyone and will stay again!
Superb Hotel
Lovely hotel. The common room or lounge was a particular feature that we both loved. Lovely area also, outside for sitting in the fresh air. The staff were superb. We also liked the light breakfast, on offer in the lounge area. Very handy location with the proximity of Mita Station
Good service and location
Very clean and modern
Very clean and friendly staff
Great stay. Room was typical size for Tokyo but that means two big suitcases are a challenge to place! Lovely staff. Free coffee/tea in a big lounge on 14th floor. We liked the location, metro was very close.
Good
Clean rooms with a great view, and nice breakfast. Very polite staff. Will stay again.
Love the executive floor outdoors area.
The hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful and kind. The area was a little far from some of the attractions in Tokyo but the train station is right next to the hotel making it very easy to access. I would absolutely stay here again.
It is a relatively small hotel, great breakfast buffet, small but nice bar with great bartenders, close to many restaurants, 2 min walking distance to the Mita line's Shibakoen station.
Nice
Very nice hotel and people work there very helpful and super friendly
Common area , public area looks like not vaccume well enough , specially carpet area is very dirty, inside lift also not clean my first impression wasnt pleasant, overall ok but not great room is small, very disappointed of size , it looks spacious on the picture but not big in real. Overall good enough compare to what u paid. Pleasant trip. Thank u to all staff.
Yeah, you should book this hotel
My second time at this hotel and it won’t be my last. Really comfortable, very well connected but also not smack bang in the middle of the sometimes-overwhelming Tokyo crowds. The lounge a huge hidden benefit. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to staying there again on my next visit.
The staff was very friendly and helpful
It’s decent. The staff is rude.
Good location accessible to train station. We stayed in this area due yo work. Not much food and shops around the area.
Beautiful hotel!
Beautiful hotel and convenient to the metro however be aware this is a business district so it’s going to be pretty dead at nights and weekends.
It was not too far from the subway line. However, not close to metro nor JR line.
Would be nice to have washer and dryers onsite
I just wished they had actual washer and dryers on site rather than having to use the in house laundry service which can get a bit pricey or have to walk to a local laundromat, especially on those days when it rains a lot
Hotel really close to 2 different subway lines and within 10 mins walk to zojoji temple and Tokyo tower. Not really near shopping but is a safe area with offices (next to NEC) . Very good view from 1707 room as it was a suite . Can see morning sunrise. 14th floor lounge has free flow wine from 5-8pm daily . Bathtub was perfect and toilet has great natural sunlight
I would definitely stay again!
Best quality and value for a 4 star hotel in Tokyo. Great, quiet location easily accessible.
Great quality and service. Room had great city view and by comparison to others, was much larger. Spent 3 nights first, then moved to another Tokyo hotel for 2 more nights and upon our return to Tokyo from traveling in the south of Japan, cancelled our other hotel reservations and stayed here another 11 nights because of the great experience we had.
Great stay
Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. would recommend and stay here again
We booked a corner room which was bigger than the regular rooms. Everything about the hotel was wonderful. The towels were plush as were the bathrobes, the toiletries of excellent quality, the beds and pillows very comfortable. The view of the city from the windows was great. The staff was amazing and always ready to help. There is a subway station very near but it’s not on the loop. We didn’t care because the hotel was definitely worth it. Coming back to the Celestine and its comfort was like coming home. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the continental breakfast. It was ok. All and all, I highly recommend this oasis of quiet in a noisy city.
Great Place to Stay for Transit Users
This hotel was great. It’s conveniently located near several subway and train stations which are easy to walk to from this location. my room was smaller than what I’m used to, but comfortable. The bed, I found was firm, but comfortable. and the staff were amazing. There was one day where there was rain in the forecast, and they lend me an umbrella to use for the day as I traveled around Tokyo. for those who need an accessible place to stay, the floor numbers are in braille, and the floor numbers are announced in Japanese and in English. overall, I enjoyed my stay here and will actually use this hotel again in future trips to Japan.
Great location, upscale quiet neighborhood, close to subway, restaurants. Great guest services, rooms were great of excellent quality, best toiletries, bed was great, loved the patios and the lounge.
There was everything we needed at the hotel and train stations were nearby. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance but only a few had English translations for the food. The evening drinks on the 14th floor could have provided a few more nibbles to compliment the wine. Overall a very good hotel with good service.
Great location. Very comfortable.
Ok
A great spot if you are in Tokyo for a few days. The hotel is in a quiet business area not too far from the Tokyo Tower. The staff is very helpful and we enjoyed the lounge for drinks both nights. Our standard double room was rather small, but the bed and bathroom area were great. Its about a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway line.
*2024 First Impressions* Overall Hotel Rating: ■ General Hotel Appearance: [Rating: ☆☆☆☆ (4.0)] □ Note: Both exterior and interior designs of the hotel is very beautiful. Oozes luxury and comfort. Hotel Lobby looks great, especially with the Hotel Cafe being right across. The lighting of the hotel is alright. Both the Hotel Open Space Guest Living Room and Hotel Breakfast Buffet is fantastic (Would book again for their Breakfast Buffet. Whoever the chef (Or chefs) are. God damn! Thank you for everything!. Unfortunately, due to time, we couldn't do the Hotel Spa, so can't give a quick opinion on it.)) ■ (Superior Queen) Room & Bathroom Appearance: [Rating: ☆☆☆ (3.7)] □ Cleaniness - [Rating: ☆☆☆☆ (4.0)] □ Amenities - [Rating: ☆☆☆ (3.5)] □ Room Size - Note: Small (possibly tight), but doable for 2 people. However, the overall window view, amenities, cleaniness, and daily housekeeping services makes it up. (Great to be in if you are always on the go due to packed itinerary and/or secure luggage purposes. Also to note, no microwaves available in the room.) ■ Quality Management & Housekeeping Service: [Rating: ☆☆☆☆ (4.5)] □ Note: The Lobby Staff and Crew were very friendly and informative. A very special thanks to the Housekeeping Staff for their daily work and service. And also a very special thanks to the Breakfast Chefs, Cooks, and Server Staffs. Thank you guys for taking care of us during our stay! Love from Guam ♡!
Quiet and nice place, it’s great to have a free happy hour bar every evening. I will visit the hotel next time.
Nice place near subway and convenience stalls
The hotel was very clean and conveniently located. Our room was pretty small but well equipped. Overall it was a great experience to stay in Celestine.
Great stay
An excellent location for my business trip. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The lounge area closes a bit early (btw 8-9PM) for entertaining clients, but otherwise everything was excellent.
Looks super nice from the lobby, but rooms are tiny and not that nice.
My bestfriend and I stayed at this hotel and it’s 10/10. I would recommend this to every and any one! Super friendly staff. It’s convenient to walk to places. It’s so clean. We loved our stay and cannot wait to go back
I will come back again. Celestine is awesome
Great hotel
Lovely hotel, great views. On the 14th floor they have a gues lounge where you can get a free beer/wine/snacks between 5pm to 8pm plus free coffee 24/7! Breakfast buffet has a great selection. Possibly in a bit of a quiet area, not a huge amount of restaurants etc.
It was good for places on the mita line but a little out of the way. They also had no provision for allergy friendly bedding and gave me one strange pillow and a blanket. I don’t think it was very good value
Great service. Nice lounge on 14th floor. Hotel is a bit dated, needs to be renewed with USB ports etc
Staff were excellent. The property seemed a little outdated. Dining was a little further out than expected.
The hotel is beautiful, the staff is sinking and they are always happy to help you... the room was so clean and comfy
Location is good there are several train stations nearby. And the staff helped us to send our luggage to the next hotel.
Great stay, recommended highly!
It was very clean and facilities are good. Staff polite and would definitely recommend
조용한 곳에 위치하고, 스탭들이 정말 친절합니다 다만, 지하철역까지의 거리가 애매해 많이 걸어야 했습니다
Staff was super helpful and accommodating, location was near a number of train stations within walking distance and the room itself was very clean and comfortable
Excellent location and value.
Quiet area, very friendly staff. Room was very spacious for my family and will stay here next time
Pleasant, comfortable.
We stayed 6 nights and overall it was a good stay. The room was much smaller than anticipated but on reflection this seems to be typical of Tokyo / Japanese hotels. The hotel was clearly finished to a high standard some time ago and this shows; the lobby and the lounge area is really nice - however the rooms are in need of a refurbishment. The staff were really friendly, as are all of the people we came across during our stay. Very little to ‘complain’ about considering the economical price point.
What a fantastic hotel… great location and amazing staff who went out of their way for us at every opportunity The room was smaller than we expected but was not an issue but perfect for what we needed with great amenities Overall a lovely hotel 😻
This hotel is very clean, modern looking and great staff. The rooms are very clean, quiet and great amenities. They provide free pajamas and slippers for the guests!
Good
Enjoy the bird sounds in the morning, and the always attentive staff.
Always a good place to stay and good prices for Tokyo. You cannot go wrong !
Clean and good staff. Room was a little smaller than expected.
