This house hotel was lovely, especially because it was adults. Only a little did we know that the next hotel we would check into on Mallorca would be Family, friendly! The area around the hotel isn’t great, but there is an amazing pub across the street called Eight Winds - love this place it reminded me one of my favourite bars in Hawaii and the staff were just so kind and friendly and fun. The hotel staff were a professional and polite, the bartenders were great and the reception people were very helpful. Not to stereotype, but there were lots of rude older Germans everywhere, and we happen to be in a room beside two crotchety old grumps who were telling us we are being loud when we were not even close. The pool was very clean and definitely crispy cold and refreshing! The quality of the drinks were very great.

The hotel was a very pleasant staff. One wait staff for the pool was not…..one person out of ten is good odds.

Wonderful hotel, very friendly staff.

I LOVED this hotel! I would definitely stay again and recommend. Clean, lovely room amazing staff, I could go on. The only thing I would mention (not related to the hotel but people staying at it) is that there should be a sign in the rooms that states people should be respectable about loudness of tv volume - especially at night!

Wonderful location. Walking distance to several bars and restaurants and also just a minute walk to the beach. The only gripe I had was that the AC in my room wasn’t very strong. I had it on the coldest setting and it never really got below 74 degrees or so until the wee hours of the night. Might have just been my room and other rooms are fine though. Also, don’t come here expecting a young crowd. I’m 38, and I saw maybe 5-10 people around my age or younger in 3 nights of staying there. Most guests were well into their 60s or 70s

Excellence in Service

The staff were some of the best be met in my many years of excessive travelling, they helped my daughters arrange my 60th birthday and were so helpful I couldn’t have been happier

Only complain would be a/c isn’t cold enough

Rooms dated. Air con was poor, fridge did not cool items. Shower leaked badly so bathroom flooded every use. Shower is over bath too, not a modern style. Coffee at breakfast was highlight. Breakfast is fine. Beach front location is lovely.

Another amazing stay

Stayed here twice, for 4-5nights and both experiences have been excellent. Airport is literally 10mins away, and from the location to the food to the beach view from the pool, you can not fault this hotel. The area is nice and away from the busier El Arenal but only a 15-20min train ride away if you want that atmosphere Very happy and will be defiantly staying here again.

Foods no good for 4 stars hotel poor

This hotel was very close to the beach but also had a lovely pool area. All the staff were fantastic and helpful. The whole hotel was very clean and tidy. Very close to the airport just a short taxi ride.

This hotel have very polite and helpful staff. Excellent position opposite sea near restaurants only short ride on bus into palma.

El Cid end of April

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the El Cid. We were upgraded to a suite which was unexpected but a great surprise. A very clean hotel with friendly staff especially on reception. The bar area lacked atmosphere and could really do with some background music playing. We would love to stay again and would hope to be luckier next time with the weather!

A nice welcome when checking in . Great room . Breakfast very nice and a nice pool. One of the best I’ve stayed at.

Lovely weekend stay

This is a fabulous hotel; pool area is beautiful and right on the beach. Breakfast plentiful, rooms spacious and all in close proximity to the airport (but not too close to be too noisy)

Great location and helpful staff. Located in thick of a cathedral and it wasn’t for yall to keep.

Good value

Not sure if i would stay again.

I was going to initially review the hotel as excellent but there were a few things that narked me. Firstly, we booked a superior sea view but there was nothing "superior" about the room plus the only way to get a side sea view was to hang over the balcony. Secondly, there were no toiletries. For a 4 star, i would expect some but the only thing in the bathroom was a comb. Luckily i have hair but if i was bald i would feel insulted. The shop across the road sold toiletries but over 5 euros for a conditioner so we went without. The bed was really hard so much that i had to take painkillers before and after bedtime. One very thin silky sheet which felt meh too. There was aircon but as it was round the corner there was no direct air into the bedroom area. Pool was lovely but cold and pool bar was shut. Restaurant manager and staff lovely and good choice of food. Lastly was told no late check out despite rooms showing available on all hotel sites including their own and i was more than happy to pay full rate for a night even though we were leaving at 6pm.

Fantastic hotel

Amazing location very near the airport. On the beach but so quiet. A lovely area. Very few cars mostly cyclists. Hotel is spotless and always smelled so clean and fresh. Reception staff so helpful and the woman cleaning our room was so lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel and the area. Will be back in 2024.

This hotel had no working air conditioning and they refused to fix or accommodate!

A comfortable hotel in an excellent location close to a sandy beach with great swimming. The main reason for 5 stars was the staff team. Without exception they were friendly and efficient treating any request with a smile.

Excellent level of service and great facilities

Only stayed 1 night but very impressed by the level of service.All the staff we met were happy and friendly.Hotel had a very good vibe and excellent facilities.A few minutes from the Airport and excellent value for money.Will definitely be back.

Because my flight was cancelled i had to stay overnight so i chose somewhere close to the airport and can pastilla turned out to be a good choice, THB el cid is an excellent place to stay very modern rooms and great area too.

Excellent location, close to airport and bus station

There was nothing I didn't like! I was a solo traveler and felt so safe here.

Lovely hotel, adult only, clean, beautiful pool, close to airport and transportation to Palma. Walking distance to many shops, restaurants and right on the beach. Very good breakfast buffet. Rooms were updated and clean. At times we looked for better service at the pool, more staff required. Would stay here again.

El Cid

The only thing I could recommend is to take turn on the air condition before the guest arrives

Got upsold to a junior suite with 2 balconies, 2 of the worst views I've ever had, directly over the entrance to the hotel and alley adjacent to ugly gray concrete.

Guest staff were attentive and helpful during my time with visiting medical specialists. The location was further away from the city center.

Chilled & Relaxed Stay

Really chilled hotel. Staff excellent. Lots of facilities and central to everything (one end of the strip way quieter than other .. which we liked). Great views. Pool at the back of the hotel was great. Cool bar there and service was just excellent.

Best hotel in can pastilla

Staying at the El Cid is always brilliant. I've been coming here for over 10 years and it just gets better. Breakfast lovely, staff amazing, rooms clean and tidy. Pool area is just beautiful.

Wonderful stay, could not recommend more!

We went for our babymoon and had a superior double with balcony and sea view - and it was incredible. The room was huge, beds comfy, view was beautiful and they keep everything so clean. The buffet had a good range of vegetarian options most nights and food was great. Every area of the hotel is kept beautifully. Right next to the bus stop to Palma, and a half hour walk down the beach to the busier bars if that’s what you prefer. This hotel was in the quieter area so the beach was peaceful, the evenings silent and a just perfect location to relax. The only suggestion we would have is to have smoking/non-smoking levels for the balconies as our neighbours were enjoying a smoke 24/7 and as someone who’s pregnant and doesn’t like the smell it kept us off our balcony and meant we had to keep the door closed to keep the smell out of the room too.

The hotel was very nice and all of the staff was helpful and accommodating!

A relaxing end to a Mallorca visit.

We booked the hotel for two nights at the end of a longer stay in Mallorca. We thought being close to the airport would be convenient and it was. The hotel is really very nice. The rooms are modern and very comfortable and are also scrupulously clean. The hotel is next to the beach and there are plenty of bars and restaurants close by. It’s quieter than Playa de Palma with a slightly older clientele. This was our first visit to the hotel but it won’t be the last. The food is very good, buffet breakfast and the evening buffet was only 14 euros.

The hotel was on the beach front and had two amazing pools

The property was very clean and modern. Close to restaurants and shops. Balcony were large and had a great view. The Front desk staff were great & friendly. The options at breakfast and dinner were excellent especially because I am a vegetarian and this is the first hotel I’ve been to a hotel/ resort that had so much vegan and vegetarian options which I very happy for. My only complaint is that coffee and tea was restocked daily only as a welcome gift. The boardwalk and beach was so clean and beautiful which was right across the street. I would stay there again with proximity to the airport it was amazing and excellent service. Thank you for a memorable vacay in Spain.

Super hotel

This is my second trip to THB El CID Palma. The staff are so lovely and helpful. They couldn’t do anymore for you. Food is fresh and delicious. Great location. Close to the airport, beside the beach and great bus service into Palma. I’ll be back.

Great hotel, great staff, great location

I liked the bracelet room keys that came with the room. I thought it was a amazing idea. Since people go to the beach or swim. It is easy to lose from key. But with the bracelet you have it with you all the time.

There was a large deck overlooking the baeleric sea. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable with fluffy pillows. Staff was especially helpful. Additionally the hotel was a great value for the money spent

I stayed at The El CID for 5 nights. Lovely sea view room with balconcy, tastefully decorated/interior and very clean, pleased there was a fridge and kettle. Hotel exceptionally clean ,shiny floors throughout. 2 swimming pools, plenty of sunloungers, swimming pool not too cold , just right temperature to cool off in sunny and hot weather. Great location on the beach with lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, water sports and other activities . Food in the hotel was buffet style with plenty of choice , tasty and nice outside terrace area for dining. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend.

Hotel was nice, clean & Staff was amazing. Hotel is next to the beach and walking distance to all the little restaurants in the area. the breakfast buffet was just ok and if you don’t get a beach facing room, the views are not the best. Overall, I would stay again. I really enjoyed the “adults only” vibe.

We paid 200 Euro to stay here for a single night which did not include breakfast. The hotel has a great location near the beach which is it's best feature. Aside from that the hotel is basic and dated looking more impressive from the photos that in reality. We stayed at another just up the beach which was far smarter.

Food awful and overcooked

Great location, staff lovely, hotel spotless ( although could do with updating) everything great- except the food! Apart from the usual salad bar and cakes the meat was tough and everything hot well overcooked. Breakfast was not much better and definately not worth the €252 i paid for the night. I would not return as feel this hotel has tightened their food budget way too much for the price

Lovely friendly staff , great location and good food

The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and has everything you need. We had rooms with seaview balconies and the view is stunning. Although there is some aircraft and Road noise at the back pool, we preferred it to the front one. We have now stayed here 3 times. There lots of restaurants along the front to choose from - we liked the fish ones up by the harbour. Not the most upmarket resort by any means.

Fabulous hotel and location.

Fabulous hotel, couldn’t fault anything. Fabulous view from the balcony. Lovely pools. Did have to be up to get a sunlounger, ones are the front pool went first. We went down about 9.30 and couldn’t get beds at the front, there will still some at the bigger pool at the back though. Nice and peaceful setting, close to the airport. Perfect for a weekend in the sun!

The staff not very friendly

The hotel was very clean. The staff was helpful and all spoke English fairly well. The breakfast was very good and well worth it.

Lovely Beachfront Hotel

Thin towels is the only complaint for this 4* Hotel Large bedrooms with fabulous walk in shower large balcony with table and chairs. Perfect beach front position. Staff so friendly.

Best hotel on the Playa de Palma.

Great facilities in a very safe location on the Playa de Palma. Very helpful staff. 2 great outdoor pools and tennis court. Right beside the beach. Good food and entertainment.

The room was clean and perfect for my one night stay. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Good Hotel in good location

We stayed in a Junior suite which had a king size bed. (Most rooms have 2 singles or super king size beds) Room was on the 3rd floor with views over pool and sea and bed faces balcony which gives a fab view. We had Breakfast each day which was good buffet with some hot options and and egg station. Hotel has 2 pools and both were not too busy when we were there could get a bed any time of day. We have stayed in this area several times ans would stay at this hotel again.

Make sure you get the right side of the hotel

The reception wasn't focused, kept taking calls during check in. The room had a terrible view and the windows let in street noise from construction and airport

Scrupulously clean everywhere. Even at the pool, whenever anyone left their sunbed the Socorista sprayed and wiped down. Very reassuring!

wonderful place, would visit again

The check-in was smooth and the receptionist very friendly. The room was clean and big with a fridge, no mini bar (which i prefer, so i could put something inside) The breakfast buffet was spectacular! Delicious and a big variety. The corona rules were applied perfectly, hand sanitation before you touch any of the serving cutlery, every single time. Wearing a mask while getting food. Tables are far enough apart. Employees smile even with masks on :) Pool area very beautiful and calm, haven't been to the beach but it seemed nice and close Only thing that would be amazing is an airport transfer. It's not far and the taxi is 15€

Near to superb restaurants and only a quick busride away from Palma! We are already booking for next year!

This property is in a good location if you want to avoid Palma city prices and want beach access. Breakfast is good and the staff really go above and beyond to make your stay a positive one.

This is really a lovely relaxing hotel in an excellent location right on the beach. Rooms are a decent size and beds are comfy. We had a beautiful room looking out to sea on the fifth floor. Staff in the restaurant are excellent as is the food.

Lobby like a hospital

The lobby, restaurant and common areas for this hotel is really dated. The lobby feels like you're entering a hospital or a medical clinic. Our room was nice; huge bathroom, comfy bed and lots of space. The hallway into our room and directly outside of it reeked of cigarettes though. Overall I would say this place is "ok"

A weird room

This place was odd. It had a lot of positive attributes: The location was great, the room was exceptionally clean, and everything worked (water, electricity, TV). However, the room was situated strangely: The chairs were somehow always in the way of something such as access to the sliding glass balcony door (with no locks) or the fridge, or the waste basket. When water was run through the shower head the drain could Not handle the amount of water and would overflow into the bathroom floor. Using the handheld shower wand solved the overflow problem but the holder mounted to the wall was exceptionally low (handicap accessibility?) so it was a contortionist puzzle to wash hair and rinse. Problem could have easily been solved to mount a second holding bracket up high; or to change the drain capacity for the main shower head. The hotel was especially stingy with bath towels -“and there were no washcloths. There was no “do not disturb” sign for the door. If you wanted to use a towel for the beach you had to provide a $10 euro deposit (each). Finally, the double bed consisted of two twin beds - each fully made with fitted sheets and it’s own coverlet as if two single people would be sharing one room. This did not work well for a couple - it was like a scene from a 1950’s TV show. Anyway the cleanliness and location were great, but the cheapness and weirdness of the room was off putting.
