Lovely Vacation spot in Amstelveen
It is a lovely hotel in a village just outside of Amsterdam. You can easily take public transport to the center of Amsterdam. You are 15 minutes from the airport by taxi.
Fantastic!
This is a fantastic hotel, very quirky but great at the same time. We were so sorry we did not spend more time at this great hotel just one night. The host Johan was more than helpful, the town with plenty of restaurants is only a minutes walk away.if you have any disabilities do not go the stairs are very difficult.
Fantastic people and place!
Great Host, that was the best part of staying at this Station 28 Hotel. Wonderful breakfast as well each morning.
We were there for only one night but it was great! Very comfortable bed and pillows, an excellent breakfast and Johan was helpful from start to finish. It’s all very charming, quirky and homey. Be aware of the extremely steep and narrow steps. There’s no lift. And if you want a great dinner go to De Yonge Dikkert for a Michelin level meal in a windmill.
Clean, cozy, and cute!
This hotel is absolutely worth going out of your way to stay in, and it's still super close to the airport! Location is awesome, with plenty of eating and drinking options all within a short walk. You can get a great breakfast here in the morning, as well! Would be a challenge for those with mobility issues, so bear that in mind as the rooms are all up a narrow, winding flight of stairs. But the rooms themselves are quite spacious and comfortable! Will definitely put this at the top of my list next time I travel here!
One of the cutest spots we have ever stayed at. I would highly recommend!
The setting in Amstelveen was beautiful. The rooms were clean and well supplied. The host was genial and very helpful. The only snag was getting past the recently installed traffic barriers which require a code to lower.
Adorable bnb
What an adorable bnb, with such a lovely vibe and friendly service. I would definitely recommend this as a great alternative to a hotel in Amsterdam.
Our second floor room and bath were cozy. Watched the sunset over the town. Breakfast was made to order and local. We found shades of Van Gogh on the walk through the forest. Best of all, Hugo generously moved our bags up the stairs. ❤️👌
Really friendly hosts very helpful and accommodating
Amazing little hotel
Stunning property. Converted the old train station building in Amstelveen. Been staying elsewhere in amstelveen over the years for business. If only I had found this earlier.
Loved this Bed and Breakfast!!!!!!
My husband and I stayed at Station Amstelveen for one night, the night before we flew back to Canada. I had been hunting for a hotel that would see us continue our wonderful time experiencing the Netherlands, without just killing time at a boring, standard airport hotel. Well, we hit the jackpot with Station Amstelveen. It's all that I was hoping for. The town of Amstelveen is easily accessible from Amsterdam's Central Station. You take the subway and then take a tram. From there, it's about at 10 minute walk to Station Amstelveen. We were happily welcomed to the bed and breakfast. Our room was so comfortable and clean! It was spacious and stunning! Breakfast was delicious and healthy, with any kind of coffee you wish. I love lattes. The bed and breakfast is right in town, with a myriad of options for a lovely dinner. A lot of the Dutch locals were out at one local pub, in the street at an early hour (7 p.m.) on a Sunday night, so jovial and singing. It was so much fun to see a real town come alive. Sitting perched at the end of a boring, big name hotel would never had provided us such a great experience. I really recommend you stay there! There are only a handful of rooms, so it is a very lovely, intimate experience. The dining area is stunning, with all of the plants and tall windows. I took a ton of pictures to show my daughter, who is a professional stylist of home decor. I knew she'd appreciate the lovely spaces that Station Amstelveen has created.
The Location & the Stairs and the History. The food was great.
Nice B&B and location
This B&B was the most expensive stay we had during our road trip, by far. We were greeted by the man of the house who from the outset had an air of Basil Fawlty. I will refer to him as Basil. He clearly was not a people person and had an superior attitude. We were staying for two nights at this property. He offered us his bicycles for rent, which we accepted. I asked him which direction to Amsterdam and he clearly pointrd and said right at the B&B. We set off soon after and cycled 45 minutes in circles followi ridiculous signs and Google.maps was not much use. We eventually asked a local who directed us in the opposite direction. 15 minutes later we passed by the B&B. That evening on our return to the B&B we met with Basil and informed him of what happened. He smirked and found our occurance amusing and offered no apology. . He wasted an hour of our planned trip to Amsterdam. In the next morning we went downstairs for breakfast. There wasn't much option on the table and Basil eventually came out and asked if we wanted something cooked. The options was limited. We opted for scrambled eggs. He bought out 6 very small over cooked Crossaints and offered to us but they were fit for the bin. I sent an email requesting an earlier breakfast the next morning. When we arrived for breakfast his wife was surprised to see us. He had not told.here our plan. The wife's breakfast options were much better. Room is very luxurious and modern and very comfy. Very steep stairs.
Staff is EXCELLENT. Rooms and the restaurant are very pleasently decorated, very clean and organized.
So quaint and comfortable! Slightly fat from the main city however.
Unusual building, nice position. Easy parking and good restaurants.
Very nice experience throughout. Lovely lady who welcomes you in the morning with nice breakfast. Perfect ingredients to start the day.
You can't beat this B and B for charm and character. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and the owners couldn't be more hospitable and helpful. it was a great experience!
Stayed during a long layover in Amsterdam. I was truly saddened that I only stayed one night. Everything exceeded my expectations- the room, the warm and welcoming staff- a true reprieve for a weary traveler. Highly recommend. I will certainly return!
We wish all vacations could include a stay at accommodations like this. wonderful home, with excellent location, exceptional rooms and terrific management. This bed and breakfast has it all. Book early!
Beautiful B&B
We had a lovely stay at Station Amstelveen family run B&B. Beautifully decorated in a lovely town. About 10 minute easy walk to bus stop or tram stop into Amsterdam. The owners were friendly and helpful.
Excellent stay for 3 people in this historic b&b. Very clean and nice amenities. Walkable to restaurants, and about 1 mile from rail that can take you into downtown.
Very nice stay. Great, historic building and very friendly staff.
Owners are amazing, helpful, generous folks. They are there for you!
Loud!
As with most buildings, there was no air conditioning,so windows were opened. This b&b is located in a neighborhood. All of the neighbors were up and loud till midnight. The hotel staff also had a loud party till midnight. Not a good place if you have to get up early. They do serve a great breakfast.
Good location in old town
Wonderful place. Loads of character, great staff, fantastic breakfast. Located in old town, about 15 min walk to shopping centre and tram no5 to Amsterdam. Quiet position in old station house, close to restaurants and bars and some shops. Room was clean well furnished and comfortable bed. Well appointed bathroom. Downside - very steep stairs and no lift, but staff helped with cases. Hairdryer but no plug close to mirror. Overall great place to stay, value for money and much nicer than big hotel.
Beautiful and rustic!
A must stay when visiting Amsterdam. Staff are very friendly and the service is great. If you like dogs they have a couple of large friendly dogs that roam around making sure you get your scratch's in! Lots of community bars and retaurants to choose from as well for your evening dinner and drinks.
Perfectly located
Located in old town Amstevleen. Close to bus, taxi, uber to city center " night-life" Amsterdam.
An old tram station, now a hotel.
Comfortable, small hotel with interesting history. Good area to explore with cafes and restaurants nearby. Hosts friendly and hospitable. Convenient for airport. Wish we could have stayed longer!
good place to stay
calm and safe. also easy to go to Amsterdam. The householder is very kind. One minor problemis that the carpet needs more frequent cleaning.
Lovely place and very friendly and helpful staff. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Fabulous
The Hotel/B&B is in a lovely location, with friendly owners and wonderful accomodation. The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to others.
Dutch adventure
Stunning Guesthouse in a lovely place run by a great family, Very laid back and welcoming good food and vibe, Hope to return again.
Quality bed and breakfast in lovely village.
We stayed for 3 nights in the conductor suite, beautifully furnished room with quality fittings and furnishings, which was spotlessly clean. Breakfast is lovely with ham, cheese, different breads, eggs, yoghurt and a choice of drinks. We thoroughly recommend this place and would happily stay there again.
Loved our accommodation
We were welcomed by Katerina and Johann, the building is superb, breakfast delicious, our rooms fantastic, did not want to leave, would come back again just so beautiful
Quirky Hotel
Small bijou hotel, lovely Owners/staff, very relaxing and quiet.
Very nice stay.
Great. Good choice.Strongly recommend. Thanks to Katarina and Johan
Best Choice for Comfort- Close to City and Airport
This stay was a great surprise and far exceeded expectations. We loved the room, the neighborhood and the host was very accommodating. I would absolutely come back and stay here next time I am in Amsterdam. The neighborhood is really beautiful. We rented bikes from the host and got to see the area. The breakfast was wonderful. The directions from the airport was super easy too. Perfect location!
Affordable jewel and oasis!
The hosts are amazingly kind and helpful. Access to Amsterdam is easy. The accomodations and breakfasts were superb. To ask for more would be greedy and unkind. Mind that the stairs are steep so folks with limited abilities may not fare well. We loved it and are going back for our final night in Europe before the long flight home. I am grateful for all Station Amstelveen team have done.
Peaceful environment with great facilities
Hasslefree access to Amsterdam with a relaxing afternoon/evening in Amstelveen
Fabulous property
The helpful owners have done a fantastic job renovating the building. It is in a very nice neighbourhood with great places to eat and drink nearby - a very nice change from staying in central Amsterdam (which is easily accessible).
Great bed and breakfast near airport
Arrived early in the morning to Amsterdam airport. Johan let us drop our bags at the hotel on our way to sightseeing. After spending all day touring, we arrived back to a nice, comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent the next morning. Would definitely recommend to fellow travelers.
Peaceful B&B
StationAmstelveen is a quiet, peaceful B&B, perfect for a visit to Amsterdam. Johann and Katarina are lovely welcoming people who looked after us very well. Delicious breakfast of muesli, yogurt and berries, omelet and eggs, with fresh bread. Comfortable beds with good quality linen and towels. Bicycle hire very useful, also list of local restaurants. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Station Amstelveen
My husband and I ended an 8 day Rhine riverboat trip with a two night stay at Station Amstelveen. It was an absolute joy. Our room was lovely, the breakfast and wonderful conversation with people from several different countries was fabulous, and the Johan and his daughter, Hannah, were delightful. Plus, it was located in a really beautiful, peaceful neighborhood close to but not actually in Amsterdam.
Sleep in a railway station!
Located in a quaint section of Amstelveen, close to the airport and with numerous bus lines, this is an ideal place to go to for a break from Amsterdam, facilitate airport transport time, or just have a wonderful experience in this tastefully restored rail station. All the charm and comfort you could hope for and a host who gladly will carry your luggage up the winding stairway and make you a breakfast that will get your day off to a good start. All amenities are thought out, the bed is luxurious, and the view is splendid.
Cozy quirky B&B with a wonderful breakfast
Wonderful spot centrally located in Amstelveen. Walking distance to many super eateries. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious and bathrooms roomy and modern. Public transportation is very handy for a quick trip into Amsterdam. Enjoy the peace and quiet of this community while close to the hustle and bustle of the city. Highly recommended!
Amsterdam to Station Amstelveen B&B
A family run B&B which includes delicious breakfast in a very homely setting. The B&B is in an old station house on the outskirts of Amsterdam in a beautiful area called Amstelveen. It is a 100 years old, very quirky and different - if you like that sort of thing. There is easy access to get into Amsterdam Central Station for sightseeing and shopping, or whatever takes your fancy. I highly recommend this B&B for cleanliness and quality of service provided by the owners.
Unique B&B
Took the bus from Airport....15 minute ride then a ten minute walk or short taxi ride to B@B........half way to Amsterdam from Airport.
Amazing experience!!
Excellent BnB! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Station Amstelveen. Stairs are a little narrow and steep but is to be expected of older European architecture. The hosts were awesome and very helpful.
Nice stylish comfortable and clean bed & breakfast
Best host - felt like we knew him! Delicious fresh omelette made for us in the morning along with a proper coffee and meats, cheeses and fresh warm bread. Bedroom beautifully decorated. Definitely recommend! Only a 10 min bus ride and 10 min walk from the airport. Short bus ride into the city. We had a great recommendation from the host to check out Leidseplain on our way into central. It's about 4 stops from Amsterdam Central station. enjoy!
Boutique accomadation in a old station
Great spot to stay and very friendly, helpful service. We were able to borrow the bikes and ride all the way into Amsterdam along the bike path. Nice restaurants nearby as well.
Historical station house in Amstelveen
Wonderful service, charming host and hostess. Continental breakfast was excellent with fresh bread, yogurt, fresh strawberries and Dutch Kaas (cheese). We had a very comfortable room with a king size bed, full modern bathroom. Stairs are a little steep but the owner brought up the suitcases. May be an issue for someone with arthritis.
Wonderful place; wonderful people!! Very romantic!
Beautiful, charming Bed and Breakfast
I couldn't recommend this place high enough if you are looking for a quiet, restful atmosphere close to both the airport and downtown. I loved borrowing one of their bikes to bike the path right into the city to explore. Rustic, charming, comfortable, and a perfect choice for an overnight layover.
Great stay for 2
Great stay at hotel station amstelveen. Very kindly owners, great room full of charm. I can only give it 5 stars
Hotellet ligger i en hyggelig by.
Wir waren sehr zufrieden.
Mooi gebouw, sfeervol oud treinstation. Kraakhelder beddengoed. Leuke ingerichte ruimtes.
Nice warm atmosphere, great location
Nice warm welcome, high service level and in a beautiful location / building.
Excellent value at any price, including the 400E for a much less agreeable room at the convenient Schiphol Hilton. Stairs a challenge for those with mobility issues, but call to explain the issue. Proprietors work hard and succeed admirably.
Mooie B&B, goede sfeer

Hotel is a Gem
We stayed one night at the Hotel Station Amstelveen. Every aspect our our stay deserves 5*. Our room was clean, spacious and had views of the quaint town it resides in. The bed, sheets and towels were all top quality. The hotel is within a short walk to a quaint town with hanging flower baskets, cafes and Michelin * restaurants. The B&B owners were very friendly and accommodating. They arranged for a transportation service to take us to the airport which was on time, professional and accepted cash or credit cards. Frankly, I can't if I have had a better hotel experience.
