Exceptional service

The quality of service at this hotel is exceptional from the moment you arrive. The staff are friendly but professional and exactly what you would want at a 5 star hotel. The rooms are of a very high standard and very spacious too. Also ideally located next to a nice park but within walking distance to all of Romes major attractions. Overall a great stay!

My wife and I have had our second visit at the Splendide Royal and feel as though we are very warmly Welcomed and accommodate all our requests, Breakfast , Dining or just roof top cordials were wonderful and all the servers and the Hosts were excellent! We have found our place like home when in Rome.

Hotel Splendide is truly Splendid

I think that this was our favorite hotel we stayed at while we were in Italy. The location is perfect when in Rome. Close to the best shopping and restaurants. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are immaculate. We would stay here again the next time we are in Rome. It was a great price for a wonderful property.

Overall a good property

Really lovely staff - very welcoming and thoughtful, particularly on the back of a very difficult journey. Very nice decor and extremely comfortable beds. The breakfasts were lovely and restaurant staff particularly helpful and attentive. A quiet part of town yet only a few minutes walk from the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps.

Just had a wonderful stay at The Splendide Royal. Beautiful hotel, room was superb and spotlessly clean and a great location. Staff were all very pleasant. The only downside was when we were checking out we was asked if we wanted to leave a tip for the staff which I felt rather uncomfortable with. I had already left a tip in the room.

Probably the best hotel in Rome and it shows. Entire staff at your beck and call, impeccable service. Exquisite rooms, top floor bar with superior views, super elegant restaurant offering monkfish, extensive wine list, breakfast banquet, luxury throughout. You will not be disappointed with this unforgettable experience.

Love staying at this property. Breakfast is a must.

This property was in a decent location and reasonably priced, but certainly not a five or a four star hotel. More like a three star. Also, the front desk staff was slightly rude. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Not a 5 star hotel But the leading hotels of the world The floor smelled of sewage and the room smelled humid and damp. The bathtub surrounds were those of a 2 star hotel.

Over rated. Rooms - walls scuffed - furniture was older. Gym had one treadmill..no cardio equipment.

Room walls were marked…chipped baseboards. Old furniture.

Lovely hotel with great service

Amazing hotel if you're looking for a quiet place to get away from the Rome hustle and bustle. We stayed in the terrace room and found out that none of their rooms have a city view,.. so if your looking for a city view, the only place is on the top floor at the restaurant, which is by far the nicest view.

Our stay was an excellent experience. The staff were knowledgeable, professional and accommodating. Our reservations were handled to perfection. The area around the hotel was easily walked with plenty of restaurants and shopping.

The roof top dining and bar was exquisite. The view spectacular. The service top notch. Very much enjoyed the location and setting. Easily walkable from the Spanish steps and plenty of shopping options. Walked all the way to the Colosseum and back (5 miles), still a nice walk and lots of interesting sites along the way. The staff helped us navigate so it really was no problem!

Highest standard for a luxury hotel

On arrival we were upgraded to a jr suite, nice. We have stayed at this hotel before. The staff is welcoming, genuinely helpful, friendly, and exceptionally efficient.

The hotel outdid themselves with the location, the food, the view (WOW), and the proximity to many attractions and shopping areas. The rooms were lovely, everything was clean and sparkling. The staff were very helpful and friendly and did everything they could to make sure we were happy. This hotel is 5-stars for a reason, I couldn't recommend it more.

My wife and I spent three nights wonderful nights at the Splendide Royal The service from all staff was amazing but I would like to give a special shout out to Ivan who was amazing and so helpful. The rooms are super lux with great beds and bathrooms The hotel is well located and all the sites and shops are within easy walking distance although our room remained well insulated from and traffic noise. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in the centre of the Eternal City

Impeccable service

Absolutely fantastic stay in Rome. The staff was some of the most friendly and welcoming I’ve ever experienced. Everyone spoke English well, and knew us by our names. They had our room ready hours early and met some unique requests we had. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Large in size, elegant in style and well appointed. The bed was super comfortable and the AC worked phenomenally well. The breakfast was well done and very convenient. Easy in and easy out. The covered rooftop was a nice place for an aperitivo (although it rained heavily the night we went up there). Mirabelle was one of the best meals we’ve had. Michelin star dining in an extravagantly beautiful dining room. Best and most attentive service we have ever had dining. The location was perfect and quiet. Minutes from the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. 25 minutes to the colosseum and Roman forum. Quick trip to Vatican City by car or taxi. Overall, 5 Stars and would highly recommend if you’re looking for an upscale boutique hotel in Rome.

Nice hotel with great service in a safe and quiet location off the beaten path. Very clean, a lot of attention to detail. We would definitely go back when in Rome again and would recommend it with the following caveats: if you plan to walk from and back to the hotel to visit the central core be aware that it is a tough walk back uphill especially after a hearty meal and drinks! Be prepared to call a taxi. Secondly, when we checked out, it was pointed to us that the hotel had taken the liberty of adding to our bill an extra 45 euros or so for the service for every day we stayed there, telling us that we had the option to remove or change it. The service was excellent and professional but we definitely felt put on the spot which was not a good feeling. We have stayed in many hotels and this a first for us.

This hotel feels luxurious. The lobby has gorgeous decor, beautifully detailed marble floors, and wonderful flower arrangements. The prestige room we stayed in (418) was decorated to the nines and the bathroom was outstanding. The staff were welcoming and attentive, providing excellent service. We enjoyed the rooftop bar, Adele, which offers a beautiful view of the city. Although in a good area, the walk to the hotel would be uphill from Rome City Centre so we found it to be a little more remote than to our liking. The hotel and our room smelled a little musty and the carpets in the main hallways are flat brown and need to be upgraded to something more colourful but overall the hotel is beautiful. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

We had breakfast included…Ordered room service while being charged 10euro extra and it could only be the Continental Breakfast. We ordered OJ and were charged 8euro each. I asked him to take it back. He did not…so I had a sip. He came back to pick up the OJ later and to credit us. Seriously?? Couldn’t he have just left the OJ?The next day we went to breakfast and had everything including. The GlutenFree pieces were dated 3/11/24 and the croissant was inedible. Our phone did not work! The wine at the Rooftop Bar was $25 each for a small pour! The people at the front desk had an attitude…..We were told that we would have twin beds when we got there….That never happened! We were told we would be supplied water in our room. We had to ask for that! The WiFi did not work for us!! Beautiful Hotel in a nice area…..but we were disappointed!!

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel is beautiful with everything you need. The staff are wonderful and went out of their way to help. We would definitely stay here again. The rooftop bar has some of the best views in Rome but is pricey - you get what you pay for! For an authentic dining experience at reasonable prices I would highly recommend Al Forno della Soffitta, which is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

Rooms were very well appointed and the staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. I would recommend this property to those touring Rome.

kind friendly service very clean

This is a beautiful retrofitted property whose staff is incredibly gracious and friendly. I bumped the staff and service stars from excellent to good because of uneven housekeeping service which removed a robe and bidet towels from one of our rooms on day two of a three night stay. The breakfast buffet is pleasant enough, but The Mirabelle Restaurant is exhorbitantly priced relative to the quality of the food served. The prices are equally mind-bending at the sky bar Adele which does, however, offer a beautiful 360 view of Rome.

Having stayed in many hotels across the world, Hotel Splendide was still able too provide the wow factor. Beautiful room, well appointed, with every amenity. Service was beyond great - when the doorman remembers your name it's a positive sign. Location wise, easy walk to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, and close to Spagna metro station. Roof top bar is to die for - not cheap but worth it for the impeccable service, and staggering views of the city skyline. The restaurant is top class and clearly a Rome go-to place to eat. This hotel makes it into my all time favourite top 10.

Family trip to Rome

I can not say enough great things about our stay at the Hotel Splendide Royal. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location, the rooms are very large and spacious, and the staff was incredible! We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful stay! Rooms are spacious and have wonderful bathrooms! Service was nice, from bell hop to front desk, to the turn down service - everything was wonderful. Even in the winter season the sky bar was our favorite part! Breakfast wasn’t my favorite but it will do. Amazing restaurant on location for dinner!

This hotel is amazing . The beds are super comfortable and is centrally located. A lot of good restaurants and shops in the area.

The room was big (for Rome the standar) perfect if you travel with more lugage...great amenities, excelent shower...but.. the bed was from Cesar times...it was cpmplete old and it had holes on the mattres...not a quite good night of sleep...and finally the restorant....it was amazing!! 150 points...

This was second time staying in this hotel. Renovated rooms, great class, elegant and beautiful. Loved it.

Visited late Sept. 2023. While at Hotel Splendide Royal my husband and I had a exceptionally satisfying experience. The hotel itself was very clean, and visually appealing. Our spotless and cozy room felt more like being at an expensive retreat. After 10 hours of flying, the comfortable bed was a godsend. We awoke refreshed and restored. The morning breakfast buffet is worth the extra charge. There was a wide variety of tasty selections of meats, eggs, salads, cereals, pastries and fresh breads to choose from. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. Their attention to customer service far surpassed our expectations. We felt pampered. My husband and I highly recommend this hotel and we will gladly stay again for our next Roman visit.

Excellent views from the rooftop bar and the staff were very friendly. A little expensive. Breakfast views also excellent and staff helpful and friendly. If you have a suite make sure you shut the bedroom door or the aircon will be very cold as it tries to cool the whole area.

Hotel Splendide is a beautiful hotel with a clean property and amazing staff. From the beginning the gentleman at the door are welcoming and attentive. Francesca and Sylvia in the front are knowledgeable and give great recommendations. There is no coffee machine in the room but there are so many options close by including their lounge just a few floors up. We also had breakfast at the lounge a few times before going on excursions and Ana and Gina gave us great service and even remembered our preferences. We enjoyed a 6 night stay and everything went absolutely perfect. It is easy to walk to a lot of major sites. They have room service and a great restaurant to dine at. The neighborhood is safe and quiet and the staff really look out for you. We were glad we had a nice place to relax after busy days of sightseeing. Thank you to the wonderful staff. See you next time.

Amazing hotel , quiet location. Rooftop bar views are worth it alone.

Overall, a clean luxury hotel with excellent service. Exactly as advertised. The bar and restaurant are a little spendy. Dinner for two with a nice bottle of wine was >450 euro, but the food is excellent and the views are amazing. Be sure to make a reservation so you can be seated outside. Breakfast was also first class. It's worth including in your rate.

Decent location. Only there for 16 hours, drinks on the roof before going to sights and dinner was stunning.

This is a gorgeous historical hotel which is located in the heart of the city. It is very close to the Spanish Stairs, shopping areas and restaurants. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.
