They offed kind side bed they put to single together!
The hotel is located in a nice are you can walk pretty much anywhere from there. Also the metro station is just a couple of blocks away. The staff was super friendly, our waiter at the terrace was Gabriel, he was always prompt to serve and was super friendly and did an awesome job recommending us thing to do in Donostia.
Good location
It’s 3.5 star at best
Lot of noise from outside. Staff wasn’t friendly but useful enough. Shower was unclean. Bed was reasonably comfortable. A/C worked randomly. No coffee making machine.
Nice modern hotel. Good breakfast.
Expensive for a hotel without a/c and with a very bad internet access
Great Stay,
Great, Hotel 100% recomended
Great area to be in, safe and easy walk to all attractions
Excellent central location of the city of Bilbao. Walking distance to Metro station or bus stops. Close to many restaurants and generally safe. The bathtubs are small and it is very loud staying near an elevator. Staff was very pleasant.
Excellent stay
Great hotel in good location. Most of Bilbao is walkable so the location of this hotel fits great with my needs. Lovely rooms and service.
My room was a good size and having my own balcony with outdoor seating and table was an unexpected extra. The reception staff were very helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect for the Guggenheim and Museo de Bellas Artes. It was a more complicated walk to the old town, but worth it. There is a taxi rank outside the hotel
Modern city centre hotel
I was staying for an educational course and all the facilities were excellent. Not too expensive. Many places nearby for cheap meals.
Great breakfast choice and service
Really great breakfast choice and service, however underground car park was a nightmare to get into being extremely narrow.
Not bad; but not four stars, though.
Hotel is a little tired looking; certainly not the same standard as other 4* hotels in the area. Chipped tiles, worn furniture in the common areas make it look a bit sad. Service and food is good, location is OK. It's not bad value, just needs a little TLC.
The hotel was clean and staff were friendly however a couple items bothered us during our stay. The hotel implements an “environmental” policy which to me really just looks like a cost-saving measure. They limit the air conditioning to temperatures above 27C. This made our stay very uncomfortable as we were hot in the room. Also, the wifi is very slowly and almost not worth using.
It was okay overall. The « family » rooms are in another part of the building and the only way to access with a stroller is to go down the parking and then up from another elevator. The building was build like that and they don’t have much choices. So it’s understandable. The room was fine, the floor probably need some reparation, but it was clean. I would have expected somebody to help with the baggages, especially coming from a 4 stars hotel, but we did all ourselves and it wasn’t a problem. The breakfast was decent. Basic choices. For a 4 stars hotel.. I would have expected something more. The location was good. The parking for electric car was good. Though a bit small. We unfortunately took so much space with our car that nobody could have come next to us to charge. It was between two columns and our car was longer. No car could’ve enter next to us.
Good clean hotel, easy walking distance from sights in Bilbao. Bit noisy, floors aren’t well soundproofed so you can hear people walking around above you. Overall great stay would recommend
A centrally placed hotel with attractive, well equipped and comfortable rooms. There are good shops and facilities nearby and easy access to the attractions. The hotel facilities are good and attract the local populace. . For those with mobility issues it was some distance away from the river and the iconic Guggenheim Museum and up a gentle slope.
Lovely hotel as usual. All the staff were very helpful particularly Eduardo wh parked our car for us and managed to find the jacket I had left In a taxi We love Silken hotels and have used them in Madrid and Santander as well
We’ve stayed here before, so you know we like it. The breakfast is exceptional, varied - just great - and the staff does an amazing job setting it up and overseeing it. Rooms are comfortable. Just wish the WiFi connection process was more streamlined.
Excellent service Buffett was great
Central location
Really enjoyable stay in lovely hotel
Really comfortable and welcoming hotel in great location. Great breakfast excellent choice all round. Nice reception area, lovely bar area and terrace. Friendly staff. Lovely bar food reasonably priced. Excellent air conditioning in room. Good space in room. Walking distance to tram stop and also to Gran Via airport bus stop. Plenty of bars, restaurants and food places nearby. Supermarket around the corner. Buy a Barik card for transport costs 3Euro and all prices are about half price can use for several people on same card just tap it required number of times.
A fine hotel
A beautiful interior courtyard. Clean, comfortable rooms. Great bathroom. Super quiet. Excellent staff. Highly recommend.
Nice hotel.
Nice hotel with very various breakfast and excellent dinner options. Situated in a nice zone, very close to Bilbao Stadium. Staff is very friendly.
A gem
The hotel was centrally located. The staff was most helpful and attentave. There was a nice selection of food on the breakfast buffet, that was well prepared. Rooms were clean and spacious
Nice hotel No VIP service offered
Good Hotel but some distance to sights
We had a Club Double with Terrace and the room size was good, with a nice large double bed, which was comfortable. The room we had is in an annex (no 537) which is connected via an inside passage. This does however not work for disabled persons, as it has several stairs in between. The terrace is large, but seems not to be serviced as both table and stools were dirty. The bathroom was a good size, but the curtains were half falling off. Outside of the hotel there is no sign of Silken, so if you ask someone, do refer to Hotel Indautxu, otherwise no-one can help. In any case if you arrive by plane take a taxi, rather than the official airport-bus. It is much quicker, gets you directly to the hotel and costs no more than € 30. We also did have drinks and a meal at the hotel which was both good and reasonable in price, considering it's a 4-star hotel. There is however one thing that annoyed us. Contrary to other Silken Hotels we stayed at, they don't provide a WiFi code but ask you to register by name. This meant however that several times a day we had to login in again, for both our i-phones and i-pads which was really bad. Location wise we struggled a bit with the hotel as the old town, Guggenheim Museum etc are all 15 minutes or more (walking) away. The taxis are however quite cheap (normally € 5) within town. For a next visit I would nevertheless consider a different location.
Oct 2021
Super location , lovely clean hotel , very friendly & helpful staff , great place to stay , really enjoyed our visit and we look forward to staying here again .
Staff was incredibly rude, the wifi did not work, my room was underneath construction/noise, and the "queen" bed was joined by two twins.
A
Unfortunately, they have not been helpful for tourist during the pandemic
Liked the lobby, the large bathroom and the balcony
Bilbao trip
Nice hotel, big room with decent shower and close to everything. Bilbao isn't very big in the centre and this hotel is ideally situated once you get your bearings. Didn't have breakfast but plenty of places nearby to try if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Hotel bar deserves a mention, good atmosphere and plenty of people using it.
Excellent and helpful staff. Good facilities. Clean rooms.
Front desk staff not particularly friendly or helpful. Was provided no information about the hotel, surroundings, wifi, amenities, etc. Front desk clerk appeared quite grumpy and unwelcoming.
Bilbao Stay
The hotel is located conveniently near Guggenheim museum. The room was comfortable and had good curtains to block out sun light, ensuring a late sleep in. Only thing missing from the room was a coffee maker.
Air conditioning didn’t work. Breakfast was great
There was nothing we did not like about our stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. We were able, by going to the cafe, to get just enough breakfast daily. The location was wonderful - easy walking distances to things we wanted to see.
Missed the chocolates after the first night. Left “do not disturb” sign on door but service came in anyway & made bed. Expected privacy with the tag on the door. Otherwise it was OK.
The people are not friendly Room is too small Air conditioning does not work well No tea coffee machine in the room No water heating flask
Great location, everywhere could be easily walked to. Plenty of bars and restaurants around every corner, couldn't fault it!!!
The property was well positioned in the city. The rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were always helpful.
All of the questions in this survey were excellent except that the one supper at the cafe was not great but OK and the Air Conditioning did not function well on the first night. However the management corrected this and it was great after that . Overall we could not fault the hotel and the staff for their politenes, helpfulness and general service. Excellent and we rate it 5 stars and will stay there again as it is very central and easy to walk all around the interesting areas of Bilbao.
It’s a ten fifteen minute walk anywhere. Friendly staff.
The Hotel seems a mish mash of old and new. The room itself was nice, large bed, wnoigh plug sockets and a long mirror. The bar and reception area were nice and clean and spacious.
Easy check-in process, friendly staff who helped me call Renfe trains, great location close to lots of pintxos bars and shops. Rooms were large, clean and had AC (needed for the summer heat). Great stay here!
Good hotel in great location
Good hotel with friendly and very helpful staff in a great area with lots of bars and cafes. They could try a bit harder to make the rooms look a bit nicer and more comfortable - the furniture is also a bit dated.
Very comfortable room, typical large modern hotel, very helpful reception staff, location excellent. We didn’t eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the restaurant.
Good location for seeing the sites of the city. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Idealy placed for the sites museums and old town. Breakfast at the hotel good with plenty of choice. Beds comfy and room spaciuos even though 3 of us shared. Safe in room free to use. Bar staff very professional.
Location was great to walk the city sites. The restaurant was unique, the front part of the hotel. Old meets new and done well.
Most impressed. A very good location to access the Guggenheim, old town, shops. A quality hotel, spacious well equipped rooms. A popular food venue and secure parking - for a fee.
Loved the hotel. Location is wonderful for the city. Clean facility. Great staff
Couple weekend stay
Perfect centralised location for a stay in Bilbao
Hotel is really clean and well equipped. A less than 30 min walk to old town or guggenheim museum. The restaurant has a free room delivery and they make really good food for a hotel restaurant. The only minus side is the parking garage which costs 17€ a night which in my opinion is quite expensive and should be included in the room price in a hotel like this.
A very good hotel in many respects. However, the staff only seemed to speak basic English and one female member on reception was quite rude and unhelpful. But the food was excellent and other staff friendly so I would be quite happy to stay there again.
Nice hotel, we had a door lock malfunction which the staff handled and resolved with professionalism Would stay there again
Lovely Place
This hotel has a great location, downtown area. With service 24 hours, our room was clean, big as well the bathroom. To get our room we have to use a lot stairs, but I can give 4 ✴✴✴✴ and I recommend this hotel.
Comfortable room and great breakfast
We had a room with 3 twin beds and lots of luggage and still had room to move around. The breakfast was wonderful and far exceeded our expectations. Front desk recommended seafood restaurants after we saw Guggenheim and somehow we ended up at what is surely the most expensive place there. Food was great but the bill was stunning and far more than expected (waiter recommended all). Really nice place.
Unfriendly staff
We stayed 3nights here. The location was good as central and near metro. The receptionist on arrival was grumpy. There is a buffet for breakfast which had a large selection of food and drinks. There is also a cafeteria which serves Tapas and evening meals but watch out if you only want a drink after 6pm even with the place over half empty you can’t sit at a table to drink it. We went in for a meal our last night at 7pm and was told only tapas even though others were looking at menus as they don’t serve until 8.30 and the restaurant didn’t open until 9pm. First morning at breakfast it was drop this and that by one member of staff, very noisy. You got the feeling you were not wanted. What they need to remember is no customers no job. Be a bit more friendly and we may come back.
Nice hotel for a stay in Bilbao
Nice hotel with a lovely court where you can have a drink or a cup of tea in a warm afternoon. Very nice breakfast, too. Air conditioning was not working well, though, so an issue in warm weather. Also an issue are the steps that you need to go down if you’re staying at the “annexl. If you have trouble with stairs, ask to be lodged in the main building of the hotel.
The hotel didn't have any coffee maker, They didn't provide any cleenex and they didn't have any breakfast.
It was great I have been staying there and love it, I missed my plane on the 16th but my room was saved for me. I plan to go back next year
One night stay
Just a one night stay, no breakfast -too expensive at 14.5€.
Great location
Desperately needs investment in building and in staff. Majority very helpful but some give a whole new meaning to grumpy
Nice, central hotel
Well placed to walk to the museums and the old town. Comfortable, well equipped room. Not possible to get hot food before 20.30, even in the café (which was open all day). But the café did have some nice pintxos before 20.30. Parking is not suitable for long cars (I have a Mondeo). The very steep ramp straight down to parking 1 ends too abruptly (I scraped paint off my front bumper at the bottom of the ramp, when travelling up or down). Parking 2 is accessed via a steep curved ramp and a gate. The turn into the gate is too sharp for my car, so I had to drive past the gate, then reverse in. The spaces in parking 2 are only wide enough for a small car.
Rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and the location was great.
City centre business like hotel
Good city centre hotel. Clean and comfortable. Only issue is the room was small, quite small. On the other hand, it’s the only hotel with wooden floors in the hotel rooms that I’ve ever seen. It means clean floor and no carpets - which can never be clean! Recommend you stay here but don’t bring your cat as you won’t be able to swing it in your room!
Good location for us; quiet, a few eateries available in the streets outside. Hotel conditions very good and breakfast selection generally quite good, although a roast vegetables platter would be appreciated to have some options beyond the eggs, cheeses and meats. Good selection of fruits though. A box of tissues in the bathroom would be appreciated, rather than the ‘dental kit’ & ‘shaving kit’; most travellers tend to carry their own of these but not necessarily their own tissues box. Overall, a hotel that we would recommend.
A bit off the beaten path w.r.t. Bilbao's main attractions (Museum and old city), but not really too far (15-20' walk). Plenty of food and shopping in the area. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the hotel quite comfortable.
Good location, quite central. Nice, modern hotel, great breakfast choices.
Location of the hotel is good. However, staff services, hospitality or kindness are not in their dictionary.... overall very average hotel, certainly not a 4 stars hotel (at least not ifrom my perspective).
Check in poor little communication otherwise ok
Good hotel. Room and services as one would expect. Friendly staff. Quiet area that is convenient for city center and football stadium.
Comfortable hotel, enthusiastic staff
Large but friendly hotel, clean, comfortable rooms. Huge choice if you want breakfast but rather expensive. Cafeteria and restaurant give good value for other meals. Only two lifts but this did not cause a problem. The hotel has a garden at its centre, a most attractive feature. The noise of conversation rises to the many bedrooms overlooking it - not an issue except for one post midnight laughing/shouting session from a couple of antipodean idiots (hardly the fault of the hotel). The staff were charming and helpful at all times
Nice central hotel with parking.
We chose this hotel by chance. It was excellent. Staff were friendly. Parking was very convenient.
I liked the location
Great centralized hotel, great staff, very safe, clean and comfortable.
OMG the beds were amazing
Great hotel, walking distance to most attractions and lots a food/bars around
Large hotel with lots of facilities
Large bedrooms with very comfortable beds, good location and walking distance to main attractions
Room was super warm - and air condition didn’t appear to work. Spoke to the reception and we were able to move to a different room the following night.
Lovely hotel and staff really close to everything
Definitely worth a stay!
Very good, great location! Bed is huge and room is brilliant.
The Hotel is close to all the attractive places in Bilbao, has Metro Station near by (Idautxu) and prices are very good compared with other hotels of the same category. I can recommend for someone who will be exploring the city for a couple of days.
The hotel has a nice modern touch with good style and layout. The room we had was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. Great location next to the bay and close to some good bars (try Clandestino for an intimate, nautically themed relaxing experience).
Good location. Room nice size and had small balcony. Clean and staff very nice, bar had nice garden terrace and café had good breakfast selection.
Lovely hotel excellent location
A lovely stay in Bilbao, this hotel is in a perfect location, lots of bars and cafes nearby, Guggenheim and the old town are an easy walk. plenty of shopping too just a 5 minute walk from hotel. The cafe and beer garden in the hotel are well worth a visit. My only complaint is that our room was a little short on space, we had a triple room. However, it was spotless, beds were very comfortable and amenities and toiletries in bathroom were excellent. All staff that we dealt with were friendly and helpful. I would definetly stay here again.
Nice hotel.
Nice hotel with helpful staff. Reasonably good location and easy to find. Bedroom was very comfortable, spacious and clean. We had a balcony overlooking the street at the front of the hotel. It was a bit noisy late into the night on Friday and Saturday nights, but it wasn't too much of a problem as the noise was coming from people outside on their way home. No problems with the hotel at all. We arrived a good few hours earlier than the check-in time but our rooms were already available so that was a massive bonus.
Rooms looking tired but good value
The public areas were nice and modern but the rooms were looking tired, saying that it was clean and bathroom had everything you would want and was also clean. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel. Good selection of food for breakfast.
Great facility
WONDERFUL! Near tram and bus, easy conneact, generous bfast.
Central location. Friendly helpful staff.
Central location , friendly helpful staff. Restaurant was excellent and great value. Not so impressed with the cafeteria at night, restarant was much much better value and much better quality of food. Definitely will return.
A bit older facilities for 4 stars
Good experience, no problems, nice stuff, close to city center, very close. Nice rooms, but its all a bit older in the rooms.
Very good all round. Couldn't fault it.
Helpful staff, excellent facilities, location close to central attractions and on site parking all made for a very enjoyable and convenient stay.
nice safe area
Great hotel for sightseeing
Good hotel in great location.
We came to Bilbao to see the town so the hotel was perfectly adequate. The beds are big so the room was a little tight but nothing to worry about.
Very satisfying
Comfortable and close to all amenities
Very good hotel
Near evry thing you need shops restorent and other thing
fine for a one night stay
We stayed for a single night on our way back home. Hotel's staff was not friendly Ssince our flight left at 6:45 am we decided to leave the hotel at 4:00 am,, no one at the hotel advised us that the airport opened ar 5:00 am so we waited on the sidewalk for close to an hour

Very good place for a quiet stay. Praise to the staff because they were very professional and courteous. Best breakfast of my trip.
