The location, service! From A to Z! Thank you!
The hotel is minutes from the Kremlin and other attractions. It was very convenient for me. The staff is nice, food is great, clean and very homey. Staying there again in a month.
Superbe
Excellent hôtel , location, staff very friendly
-
Excellent stay at the Savoy. The hotel is in impeccable condition and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is top notch including a glass (or two) of champagne to get the day going on the right foot. We had a lot of fun and will come back in a heart beat :)
Terribly noisy on Friday and Saturday
All was fine until Friday and Saturday when a bar opposite the hotel played extremely loud music until 5pm
My favorite hotel in Moscow. Very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Staff is very professional and helpful.
All the staff is nice , great location
Location of this hotel is ideal. Metro stations and other sightseeing points are in a walking distance. Staff works really well. Alina at the Reception has been exceptionally helpful and professional. Breakfast has been really nice and there have been good range of food options. My room was rather smaller than what I expected, however, I think it is a room for one person. All things worked in my room. Dry cleaning was fast. In one word, I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.
Central, clean and comfortable
For the price, one can’t go wrong here. Probably needs a little bit of an furniture upgrade to be a 5-star, but location, service and cleanliness can’t be beat.
Great location! However, room had strong smell of cigarettes and water in the bathroom was not clear.
Awesome location! Beautiful hotel, nice breakfast!
The Hotel Savoy Moscow is an excellent option for those wishing to experience the fabled Moscow charm in a well maintained stylish Moscow mansion. The facility is impeccably clean despite the intricate decor and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. My party and I were very appreciative of all the assistance provided by Arina, Alina, Denis and Ekaterina during our stay for which they must be commended.
Beautiful historic hotel in Moscow. Great location and comfortable room. Exactly what I was looking for.
Great hotel with awesome staff!
The hotel is great and particulary the front desk staff gave me 5 star service.
Room was cleaned between 3 & 4 pm. To late in the day. Dirty drinking glasses were not changed. Shower handle was not working properly. I called twice they fixed it but it still didn't work property. No coffee pot in room, was told reserved for upgrade room only. Even a 3 star hotel provides a coffee pot.in each room. My worse hotel experience was that the lobby desk refused to transfer calls from my wife from USA to my room. They would not even relay a message to me from my wife. The 1st night in the hotel they did transfer her call to my room. After that they refused because they claimed it was a security issue. Breakfast price was outrageous compared to surrounding hotels. Doormen were extremely courteous and pleasant.
Beautiful, well-maintained early 20th century building.
I liked the location, the stuff treatment, the room was okay & the breakfast was excellent.
Location was perfect. Very modern location, yet hotel has its old world charm.
A great hotel
Hotel Savoy is a great place to stay in Moscow. It is within easy walking distance of many of the major sights, great restaurants, bars and shops. The rooms are clean and spacious , breakfast is delicious and the staff very helpful.
Fantastic Location!
The hotel was very well located, close to the Red Square and also close to many cafes,Metro.Loved the location. The wifi was pretty bad and Ac in our room didnt cool too much. But we enjoyed our stay ,room was very clean and pretty decent sized.
Our first visit to Moscow.
It was perfect in every way.
Small, not very corporate. We had the one room in the hotel with a balcony. Double-edged sword though as it over looks a busker hotspot and the buskers aren't very good. At least closing all the windows blocks out the sound...mostly! Breakfast is in a very nice room and lots to choose from but the hot buffet items are generally quite cold.
Great hotel in a great location
Very nice hotel in a great location. Was great for my business trip
Great location. Friendly staff. Beautiful decor.
Wonderful hotel
Great location close to sites. Metro, bolshoi theatre, restaurants and shops. Very comfortable bed. Friendly helpful staff. Very grand decor. Highly recommend.
Not a great choice
The buffet breakfast was awful. Food choices were not good, no waiter to serve coffee and water. For what the room cost I expected much more. The piano was MUCH too loud.
Very dated property- needs some serious updating. Location was the best - breakfast was just OK.
Very nice and helpful staff Location close, walking distance to major amenities Definitely will stay again
Excellent location if you want most of the sites in the walking distance. Beautiful decor. Stunning I should say. The room was not huge, but with high ceilings and classic castle like decorations it looked and felt great.! Well stocked, clean and well maintained. SOME ISSUES: few times the housekeeper was knocking at our door at 8:30 am to get our room cleaned. I feel it’s way too early. She woke us up and I did not like that. THE BIGGER ISSUE: please BE WARNED! We asked if the hotel could get us some tickets for the circus that we really wanted to attend, but unfortunately they don’t accept US cards on the internet and the only other way was to buy from ticket booth in person that wasn’t possible for us. The hotel emailed us that they would be delighted to do that for us and they said that prices range from 1000 to 5000 rubles . I said I don’t mind paying 5000 rubles for the tickets as long as I get the best seats. Hotel promised to buy tickets and said it would be waiting for us at reception and then we just pay the hotel. Upon arrival I was given 2 tickets in the row 8. Was told I need to pay 5000 rubles for each in cash. I was kind of puzzled as to why I’m sitting somewhere in the middle and have to pay VIP price? I went on Circus website and the price for my tickets was 2000 rubles each. NOT 5000!!!!! I was really to pay some service fee for the tickets, but extra 3000 rubles for each ticket on the top of its cost of 2000 rubles seemed excessive. Shame for 5 star hotel
This is the best hotel we stayed in these trip. Relaxing atmosphere and staff was very friendly. Great amenities and specially the swimming pool which was open all day till 11:00 pm. Recommend to everyone who would like to visit Moscow.
Smelled Old. Run down. Best days way in the past Front desk nonchalant and standoffish
Good place, nice breakfast with live piano music ....
The location is excellent, 5-10mins walk to red square. The staff is very helpful and polite. The bathroom is very clean but the room is not modern.
Special Moscow hotel experience
The third morning of my stay(19 March 2019), I went to reception to ask for how to get to red square. There were two staff there. They told me to turn right and turn right. When I was wanting to know more details, and asked them to show me the way on map. One of them was very impatient and said :"Turn right, and turn right..." Then she started to talk to the other staff in Russian with a not friendly way. I was very angry, and left the hotel. I went out to ask the people on the street. They helped me to find the way to Red Square and Kremlin area. Apart from these impolite staff, the others were nice. Also, the fourth morning of my stay(20 March 2019. Someone was knocking my door in the very early morning(around 5:40am). Even though I complained to reception, I didn't get any feedbacks. As a 5 star hotel, I think the hotel should have coffee or tea maker. Luckily they give me a tea maker when I was asking for it. But when the staff brought the tea maker to my room, I wasn't there, then she just walked into my room without permission. I have stayed at 5 star hotel in many countries, even in St.petersburg. I didn't have these kinds of e,experience. Somehow, the hotel is very close to Kremlin, Bolshoi Theater and Red Square. The money exchange is just in the corner. And the door men of the hotel were very helpful.
Amazing place
Great location, beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Highly recommend
Very warm and professional staff. I have nothing more to add, thank you very much.
Very nice hotel indeed! The location is superb as it is just right in the city - walking distance to the Red Square, very close to Tsum shopping mall. Metro station is just around the corner! Another mall with food court is just on the opposite side of the hotel, only less than 10 steps! Overall I’m very impressed with everything about the hotel! Definitely coming back to this one! Cheers!
Nice & convenient Hotel in downtown Moscow with all urban transportation easily available Quiet - Nice swimming pool & spa.
The location is perfect as it is right in the centre next to the Bolshoy Theatre. The interiors perfectly recreate the atmosphere of belle epoch- everything looks nice and elegant.
beautiful hotel, we stay here everytime we are in moscow
Service of hotel staff and location was good for Bolshoi theatre and Red Square. Shopping and restaurants in the area were also good.
Excellent hotel. A couple of issues: 1. Could not cool the room to a comfortable level for myself. 2. Poor experience with the bar - the barman, who acknowledged us and said one minute, then proceeded to ignore us and serve other people who came up to the bar.
Thank you!!
Excellent every time!!! Friendly staff and amazing location. Very happy!!!
Very friendly staff. Extraordinary service at room: at noon they put the bed blanket for you and pulled up the curtains by the bed, and at evening they removed the bed blanket and drew the curtains :)
Excellent location!!! Right next to Kremlin, Bolshoi Theater, and Red Square. Great staff!!
Pleasant stay, Excellent location
Our stay was pleasant and the hotel location was excellent. The service was excellent and the staff were very nice. Our recommendation only is to have coffee/tea maker in the room, especially that it is a 5 star hotel.
I like the location of the hotel,it’s close to the Kremlin 10 minutes walk, close to very good restaurants, the mall is just in front of the hotel ..close to the metro.. close to money exchange.. the only downfall is that it was so close to the street that on sa Saturday night, it was so loud, there was a bar/ karaoke bar and it’s hard to sleep.. but after 11 pm i guess party was already done.. also, the reception area when we came, was very helpful and accommodating.. but when we were already checking out, the receptionist / front desk is not so sure what she is doing.. she told us we were siuppose to pay $280 for our stay while we already paid for it ahead of time, even the front desk receptionist when we arrived told us we were fully paid but I guess there was a mixed up or maybe some kind of language barrier.. we’ll she pulled our account again and said indeed that yes we were right that we were already paid.. hopefully it was just an honest mistake but paying 19,000 rubles is no joke.. everything else is great except for Thai experience
Staff was very helpful and courteous. Rooms are apacious and clean with comfortable bed. Bathroom and shower are jut the right size.
classic hotel
Fantastic location staff are excellent old style decor just as in photos the Moscow locals are really friendly and can’t help you enough streets are spotless plenty of restaurants of all nationalities great atmosphere around the city we felt really safe thanks Moscow see you soon
Loved this hotel, the location is perfect and the staff go over and above to make your stay perfect
Just ok.
I wouldn't say this is a five star hotel. Their wifi was appalling and the staff at first were extremely unhelpful. Location is good but I would rather stay somewhere else next time.
First class, central location
A beautiful hotel in a beautiful city. Coming back to London makes me ashamed to be British, everything in Moscow is so clean and efficient. I thought UK was a wealthy country, why is our capital such a squalid pile of rubbish. And why is everyone in London so stressed you can't move for people getting angry about something. In Moscow everyone is just going about their business peacefully and and nothing is too much trouble
Great hotel with friendly staff very well located relative to shopping, eating and sight-seeing.
Very nice hotel, location, and staff. 15-20 minute walk to Red Square and located near plenty of food shops and entertainment.
A grand old 1913 era hotel updated in every way.
Wonderful location just a few minutes walk from Red Square. Many staff to cater to your needs, including bell hops and doormen. Lovely hotel restaurant where the lavish breakfast buffet is served. Gives you a taste of what being wealthy in old Russia must have been like.
Weird weird place. Staff totally ignore “do not disturb” and walk into your room. Their solution is
Decent hotel. Well located and good staff but price very expensive for quality of room. Room needs upgrading
Savoy
Wonderful hotel will definitely stay there again. Conveniently located in the center of the Masco staff very friendly and very responsive
Great Location
It was comfortable overall. Hotel was close to everything- Red Square and Basil Cathedral! Art Deco designed rooms.
Great hotel with wonderful location. Breakfast was amazing and good quality. Pianist at breakfast was unbelievable. Could not recommend highly enough. People in Moscow are wonderful and so incredibly helpful. We fell in love with Moscow and its people. Their kindness and generosity is second to none.
Great experience, location, cleanliness. Everything was perfect
The Savoy hotel is a wonderful place to stop. All the staff are extremely helpful and I would recommend it to anyone. It is in such a central location which makes it a perfect place to stop.
Great huge room, huge pool, great location! But did not like the breakfast much
Perfect location
I’m suggesting this hotel to all the guests especially foreigners due to its comfortable location, close to red square and places to eat
April 2018-4 night stay at the Savoy hotel Moscow
The Hotel Savoy is on a pedestrianised area of Moscow, excellent location within 10 minutes walk of the main attractions, Bolshoi ballet theatre, Red Square, Kremlin, Basel Cathedral and restaurants. The Hotel staff are very professional, attentive and very welcoming, it is a very clean hotel with excellent facilities, swimming pool and gym. We arranged a car to collect and drop us off at the airport, both pickups were on time and although the drivers didn't speak much English they were very professional and polite. We also arranged via the hotel a guide to take us on a Metro tour. The buffet breakfast was excellent value for money, a lot of choice to suit all nationalities and a pianist played a good choice of music during breakfast which was very enjoyable. We had a fantastic experience in Moscow, we have been to many cities but this one positively surpassed our expectations and the staff at the hotel contributed to this being a special memorable holiday.
Excellent location - great quality
The hotel has an excellent location for discovering Moscow downtown area - just make your room does not look at the Pusechnaya street side as that has 3 clubs on it with loud music till dawn. Staff was really helpfull, trying to do their best - english skills are a bit weak, however still above average. Would definately book it again.
Overpriced for what it is. Central location
The check in was a bit of a disaster. Arrived to the hotel with only 2 hours to get ready for my meetings to find my bed undone. Called the reception, upgrade or even a room change wasn’t possible so had to wait for two maids to clean my room while I was there.. The staff barely apologized. 2 days later I’ve found a bottle of wine and a fruit basket in my room (although there was a DND sign on the door), which was obviously very nice of them. It used to be a very nice fancy hotel in central Moscow just next to TSUM department store and the Bolshoi Theatre. This time it needs an upgrade and investment into staff training.
Amazing Hotel in a great location, Wonderful Staff
Me and my partner thought the Savoy Moscow was a beautiful hotel and very reasonable in value. The rooms were spacious and clean and warm for the winter months. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My partner proposed to me and when we arrived back to our room we were greeted with a bottle of complementary wine, chocolate and a note to say congratulations. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The location is excellent for all the tourist attractions and is just a walk away from the red square and bars and restaurants.
3 nights in moscow
very central. close to kremlin and Moscow attractions.
The Savoy, delightful hotel in Moscow Center
Our second stay at the Savoy. We enjoy the style and architecture of the rooms and lobby. The location is great, quick walk to Red Square and pedestrian malls nearby with great little restaurants.
Greathotel
First trip to Russia, chosen for proximity to Metro and Red Square. Loved the hotel in all regards. Do get breakfast. Our baggage was lost by the airline... Reception staff professional and courteous in helping us with this problem (three days running). Good value for money also. Highly, highly recommended.
Savoy is the best!
This hotel is gorgeous! Felt like I went back in time. Right in the center of everything too. We just loved our stay!
Location
Great location
It cannot be denied that the location was superb. We were a stones throw from all points/areas of interest. However, we did wonder why a 5* hotel did not hold the highest rating in terms of feedback from its guest. It would appear that housekeeping maybe a little overwhelmed with their duties and tended to cut corners whenever possible. Our room was also facing the town centre which was extremely noisy (particularly at the weekend) with buskers etc BUT this is to be expected to some degree. Nevertheless, the reception tea were amazing and any issues that we had were smoothed over in no time at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, despite the few mishaps that occurred along the way. Knowing that the staff are doing all they can to put things right so that you have an enjoyable stay is enough for us to think about staying at the Savoy again in future.
Very Pleased With This Choice
excellent location, clean, great pool and gym. excellent price. did not eat in the restaurant.
One of the best in Moscow
This was my third stay. I chose between Savoy and Metropol because the price for a two-room suite which I needed to accommodate two adults and a child above 12 was a much better deal than Metropol could offer. Besides, I like the feel of this hotel, which is small compared to other luxury hotels. The swimming pool is great. From Metropol, I only miss the sauna, which is big there and heated at all times and not just in the morning and in the evening. I highly recommend this Moscow classic.
Awesome place
Couldn't go wrong with choice of hotel. Perfect stay .
Kind and welcoming staff, gorgeous hotel.
The staff at the front desk go above and beyond. They are knowledgeable, friendly and kind. The lobby and the rooms are dated and beautiful. Very clean and comfortable. Pillows weren't great, but that is likely personal preference.
Great location in Moscow near Red Square
Close to shopping, great restaurants and entertainment
Nice hotel close to all amenities..ideal location
Moscow is a must lots of history here also bunker 42 .hop on hop off bus gets you around the city take a boat around the river or a train on the metro all within walking distance
Nice hotel close to everything.
Check in was quick and easy. Reception staff spoke English which was nice for me. However, it is not unusual for reception staff in hotels in Moscow staff to speak English. Hotel is in a very nice area. It is on a street with many shops, cafes and live music. Is within walking distance to Red Square. Several Metro stations are close by so there is easy access to anything in Moscow.
Attention to small details, not big.
Overall condition of a 3-4 star. At least my room needed lots of attention. Rooms are not designed with a human in mind. Water tap is not in a middle of a sink but close to the edge. Stone decoration was very good though.
Savoy hotel.
Very nice hotel. Great location.
Nice hotel Excelent location.
Excelent location, clean rooms, responsive staff, big rooms. good breakfast. free Wirelss internet
Payment processing issues & not really helpful staff.
Excellent location. First class service.
We loved our visit to Savoy! The staff was very kind. We stayed on the fifth floor (top level). The restaurant on the second floor is beautiful! Will definitely recommend.
perfect location close to kremlin and bolshoi
Hotel staff was super helpful. Perfect english at the reception. ATM in the lobby. Really fancy bar and lobby. Nice bathrooms and a feel of late 19th century with modern remodeling. WiFi worked with no issues.
Lovely hotel, easy walking distance of everything.
Had a thoroughly enjoyable four nights at the Savoy. If you are looking for quiet sophistication this is the place to stay.
Quite close to Red Square and Kremlin, yet situated in a quiet side street.
central located trains close staff fantastic
this hotel is a great place to stay it has so much character the staff we fantastic and may it feel like home
Check-in was bumpy. Room service was mediocre.
It's being good and always good
This was my second visit to your hotel and and it's was as expected and good service.
Great location and a great stay.
It was my first time in Russia and I chose this hotel mainly for the location as it's about 5 mins away from the Red Square. staff are great and room service was excellent and very tasty.
Great Centrally Located Hotel in Moscow
A great hotel with all the facilities one would even need. Ideally located in the centre of Moscow
5 Star Hotel walking distance to the Red Square
Convenient and well located. Helpful staff. They arranged the taxis to pick me up from the airport and take me back to the airport.
Comfortable, convenient
3 day stopover in Moscow. We'd been here many times before so just wanted something comfortable, quiet and handy local bars, restaurants, metro stations, etc. It's also hotel we'd not tried before. Only downside was that the hot food at breakfast was cold on all three mornings.
Great hotel!!!
This is very comfortable and clean hotel, located In the best part of Moscow.
Close to town!
Great location and helpful staff. Not new but very well maintained and very beautiful . Would stay again
