The reception staff were excellent; providing great advice on places to eat that met our preferences and guidance on local places of interest.

Hotel is a beautifully rehabbed old building centrally located in Trapani within walking distance of the historic district and the water on either side. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating and gave us great recommendations about restaurants and things to do in Trapani. We opted for their valet parking (at additional charge, I think it was 20 Euro/day) which made it very easy and included in and out access for the car. The room was super comfy, so much so that we opted to stay an extra day. Highly recommended if you are visiting Trapani!

Loved this hotel.

What a lovely hotel. Our room was beautifully arranged and the bathroom was nice. Reception was excellent and breakfast was delicious. Do contact them ahead of time if you have a car to find out about their valet service.

This a delightful hotel, tucked away from the Main Street and very tastefully decorated. Staff went out of their way to assist us with any request. The parking is a challenge, but they do offer valet service, which we would recommend.

Lovely little hotel hidden in an alley in old Trapani and a 3 minute walk from the main pedestrian streets. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast with made to order coffees. Was initially hard to find by car- circled the area a few times then finally parked and walked to it. We were able to find street parking both nights and used EasyPark App to pay. valet parking was available if needed. The street parking is inexpensive.

Great find!

A treasure to find nestled in the side streets near the port. Modern, clean, great wi-if. Comfortable bed& pillows. Quiet & away from street noise. On site parking not available, although the hotel will park your car for a fee.

Lovely hotel, clean and friendly. Perfect location to visit historical centre.

It was close to so many shops and the beach was just a few minutes away on foot! The port was close by and the coffee shop on the corner when you leave the hotel was wonderful!

Disappointing in lack of AC and No parking nearby.

Lovely hotel with nice appointed rooms and a large modern bathroom. What was not good is that each room cannot control their AC as it’s all controlled by front desk. When we arrived at the room is was 28C which was hot and stuffy. Although the front desk insisted the room was set to 21C the lowest temperature it ever achieved was 25-26C which was not pleasant to sleep in on the 3rd floor on a very hot August night. I talked to the front desk several times but the room never cooled down. So either they don’t want to cool the rooms properly or the AC unit is not working. So, would not stay here in heat of summer. Also, the hotel is on a street that is not accessible by car. You need to find street parking and then walk to hotel. Parking is hard to come by and not sure where public parking lots are and how far from hotel they are. The hotel should making the difficult parking situation clear on their website.

Amazing place to stay in Trapani

Very beautiful room ! Walking distance from main street in Trapani city center. A lot of beaches and beach clubs 10 minutes away. Loved the place !

Great little hotel full of charm! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. Rooms very comfortable with everything we needed. I would rate this hotel. 5 however ac was broken both nights of our stay and it was a little uncomfortable.

The San Michele is in the middle of the old town. Many things to visit and restaurants are in close proximity. Parking is arranged at a garage nearby. They pick up your car. The hotel is in renovated old Italian town house. The rooms follow the old building structure and are convenient and of good size.

Clean and spacious.

Hotel was clean, rooms spacious. Check in was ok, parking was with an off site garage at a cost of 18 Euros. When booking the website said parking available, didn’t expect it to be offsite and paid.

Modern and comfortable with a very centralized location in old town. Access to the property is limited due to very narrow streets and could benefit by providing map links or instructions to access the hotel and unload baggage at check-in. Recommend valet parking since self parking in street is very limited. Otherwise very satisfied.

I was given a smaller room instead of the one that I had booked. The entrance to that room had an unsafe access the room. . The next day we received the room that I had booked. However there was no air conditioning and no Internet service. We decided because they could not give us a room that we had to go to another hotel. We did notify Expedia that we had paid for this room on April 26, 2022 for four nights. We were told that Expedia will return the money for the two nights that we could not tolerate that hotel and the two nights that we did not use. The entire reservation was rather costly. Thank you for helping us in this matter I definitely unhappy with that hotel we feel that they misrepresented what they show on Expedia

I have stayed in 9 hotels all around Catania and this was definitely the worse. Air-conditioning was off and I have azma and a medical condition that i can not keep hot air in the room and we discussed this with the management and they absolutely showed no interest in helping in any way possible.. we suggested bringing a fan instead they asked us to just keep the balcony door open and so we did and couldn’t sleep because of the so much noise all night and day. In addition, the staff wasn’t polite most of the time. The room smelled in the morning because of the breakfast and that’s another reason we couldn’t sleep. Lastly, breakfast until 10:30 (that’s what they claimed). My roommate came a bit before 10 to have breakfast and they told her eggs is finished (full hotel and eggs is finished) and most of the things were finished and not refilled. Above all, and because I had breakfast before my friend and came back with her for coffee they treated us rudely and said we already came for breakfast before. Not recommended at all. No value for money.

The Hotel San Michele is a very nice hotel, with nicely furnished rooms, nice breakfast, and pleasant staff, and very close to the port and in the center of the old quarter. The one warning is the parking situation. The listing at Expedia claims limited onsite parking on some pages and valet parking on other pages. The staff also assured me they had valet parking available under an arrangement with a nearby garage. None of these are true. The hotel has no parking on offer, onsite or offsite. So the hotel is lying to potential guests. You have two options: 1. Park in a nearby street in a metered space (luckily, Trapani uses fhe EasyPark app so you don't have be feeding the meters with coins). 2. Find and park yourself in a garage some blocks away. During my visit, onstreet parking was €1 per hour, up to €10 per day. Garages cost €12 to €22 per day depending on the size of the car.

A very fine hotel. Great bed and huge shower. There was some mixup in my booking, and hotel management worked with me to resolve it to my complete satisfaction. Hotels.com could and should have been much more helpful. Highly recomend Hotel San Michele.

Convenient option. Good value for Money

This hotel is a convenient option in Trapani. It doesn’t stand out for anything in special, but it’s correct in all dimensions. It’s located closed to downtown and the rooms are comfortable, although a bit impersonal. Breakfast and service is decent. Good value for Money Overall.

Excellent location, beautiful building. A Staff.

Hotel is in a very convenient location, close to ferry terminals and the city center. Delicious breakfast: croissants are super fresh and there’s really a lot of choice to satisfy all tastes. Staff was very kind and helpful. The girls at the reception helped us solve a problem with a transfer to San Vito Lo Capo and gave us some very useful tips for our trip to Favignana. We will come back for sure, if we visit Trapani again.

This hotel was beautiful. Very chic and modern. The room was clean and very comfortable with a beautiful window overlooking a pretty Trapani street. Very nice location near everything. Delicious breakfast. The staff was also tremendous. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. A special shout-out to Francesca who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and even helped us book a COVID test in another city in order for us to travel. We highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay was perfect. Room was very clean and breakfast was great. Totally recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, clean and near the city center. We haven’t tried the breakfast but it’s served in a nice indoor courtyard. Unfortunately, lower rooms are noisy and you can also hear people having breakfast. Note: Reception girl needs to find another job, customer service position is not for her.

Amazing place

The hotel is very well placed, very good space in the room and the bathroom. We were feeling like at home! The staff is very friendly and ready put attention on cleanliness and Is very respectful for the COVID rules. Definitely we will come back!

Newly renovated, modern, and medium-sized place nestled on a small street which is not accessible by car, probably the reason why we had issues finding this beautiful hotel. Spacious modern room with spacious bathroom, clean and enjoyable. Quiet location from which it takes about five minutes to walk to the main shopping and dining areas (truly beautiful)! If you travel by car then parking will require some planning. The Valet service (owner of a parking garage) will take about 20-30 minutes to get your car. They’re all very friendly people, but plan ahead and be patient.

Terrific hotel - but ordinary breakfast

Great looking boutique hotel, lovely spacious room and huge bathroom, quality furnishings. The location is very central and safe with 24 hr reception. The only criticism is of the breakfast which has plenty of sweet food but few savory items. The muesli on offer was almost sugar coated, scrambled eggs were available but you had to ask (no notice advising what ‘extras’ could be ordered), the yoghurt was just supermarket tubs and quite watery and lacking in flavor and the cappuccinos were also fairly weak.

Staff was excellent and very accommodating. Parking attendant was also wonderful . Only negative was finding the location and parking during initial checkin.

Our room was enormous, newly redone, clean, beautiful, quiet, comfortable. The breakfast wasn’t great—not a great selection, we got there by 9 and the eggs were all gone already and no one asked if we wanted any. But that was the only thing not perfect. It was great value for the cost, as good as any Four Seasons.

Very central hotel with convenient access to both the old town and the port for the island trips. Big comfortable rooms. Valet parking is extra (was 15€/day for our medium car) but very convenient so you don't have the hassle of looking for a parking space. Getting to the hotel is pretty straightforward and you don't have to go through narrow lanes. Just go down Corso Italia, turn right on via Saint Elizabeth and then right again on via S. Michele up to the point where the road gets narrow. Park there and the hotel will take care of the rest. Some reviews suggest that Trapani is not worth your time, but I disagree. While it may lack the picture perfect points of Ortigia and Taormina it's still has a different type of charm. It's a real city with a bustling old town and the best food we had on our 2 week Sicily trip. Make sure you try Al Viccoletto restaurant nearby and Gelateria Meno Tredici for some amazing ice cream.

Hidden gem !

This hotel was the most wonderful surprise.The beautiful Emmanuela was always smiling and so helpful even when we had some initial wifi problems connecting. Nothing was ever a problem! All the staff from breakfast on were excellent! The petunias on my tiny balcony were the cherry on the cake of beautiful decor.

Upon arrival the staff told us of the parking available in a nearby garage; however, neglected to tell us the charge which was a surprise two days later when we were ready to leave! Additionally, the staff arranged for taxi service to go to Erice and the trip up was one price but the return was double! It seems the staff is more interested in helping the locals that protecting their clients!!! Sad....

The hotel San Michele is a real gem. Tasteful upgrades to its interior and decor peopled by caring staff. The location is good too being near the port and centre of town.

Great base for visit to Trapani

This was an amazing hotel very conveniently placed in historic centre of Trapani. Good directions given, but still not obvious to find. Room very well fitted although a little bit short of space - bathroom very large. Good, but not great, breakfast. Excellent welcome and advice on anything from reception. Easy to park in free car park and walk to hotel. Also close to town beach, harbour, restaurants etc.

Small hotel , well kept and with a good breakfast, but a bit difficult to find. Once located we found it convenient to the old city and ealked to almost everything.

The hotel is simply beautiful. It is situated on the Mediterranean . Could not ask for anything more perfect.

Excellent remodeled hotel in Trapani

Great deal for our 4-night stay at a nicely remodeled historic building in the historic section of Trapani. Very quiet, with luxurious rooms and bathrooms and modern amenities. The bathroom and shower were spacious and modern, which is rare in Italy. Highly recommended.

We love this area and this is a great little hotel in the heart of the city but away from the crowds!

Beautiful boutique hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff. Well located, modern and clean with great breakfast provided in a beautifully presented and decorated room and/or courtyard. Only negatives are that air conditioning is not cool enough and not self adjustable and a lack of an iron is a little disappointing.

Good enough

Our stay (my girlfriend and I) was pleasant whilst it lasted. We originally booked to stay in the hotel for 7 nights but a day before our flight I was contacted by email to tell me that for the final two nights, we were being moved to a different hotel as they were fully booked for those two nights. We weren't given the choice of which accommodation we were being moved to however. The hotel we were moved to although being very nice, was exceptionally noisy and the wifi didn't work in our room.

Fantastically designed hotel..a happy marriage of old and new. Great location just one road down (therefore quiter) from the buzzing old town. Pretty and friendly Desiree at the desk is a added asset!

Boutique-style in quiet central location

Really good stay at this hotel, and great value for money. The location is terrific for exploring Trapani and the amenities of the room and hotel are excellent. The staff member who checked us in Was especially helpful with advice, maps, etc. and was very gracious. Would certainly consider staying again next time in Trapani (which is s rally fine city).

this hotel is like a 4 stars,room are large and renovated. Parking is available with a fee which is necessary in this environment. Breakfast could be a little bit upgraded.

Bellissima struttura nel centro storico di Trapani. Molto belli e puliti sia gli interni che le camere. Ottima e assortita la colazione. Ma quello che più ci è piaciuta sono la cordialità e la disponibilità delle signore che ci hanno dato molti consigli e aiutato a passare una splendida vacanza.

Hotel recém reformando, de muito bom gosto. Extremamente limpo. Não é tão fácil chegar de carro, mas você pode parar em uma rua próxima e ir andando. Oferece serviço de estacionamento com motorista que leva e traz o carro, por 20 euros dia (não lembro valor exato). Funcionários muito educados e solícitos, portaria 24 horas, todos Falavam inglês. Quartos e banheiros grandes e confortáveis. Só melhoria os travesseiros. O café da manhã era gostoso, nada de extraordinário, mas após as 9 da manhã… alguns itens iam acabando e não eram repostos, como frutas por exemplo. Ficamos 3 noites, na primeira manhã, fomos tomar café às 10:00 da manhã, ninguém nos atendeu, não tinha absolutamente nada e não faziam questão de atender. Detalhe: café é cobrado à parte e não está incluso na diária. A localização é boa, próxima dos pontos de interesse, apesar da cidade não ser aquele exemplo de limpeza.
