My only thing that could be change is that the food from the restaurant food could have been a bit warmer.
RIU Olivia in Feb
Just set expectations to above average for the accommodation. This does not bother us because we only use the room to sleep. It is slightly run down. The location more than made up for it and we had the best holiday. Pool was nice and AI drinks decent. Food was repetetive between both restaurants.
Will stay again
Nice hotel, food good.
Bit of luxury
It was the last two days of our trip, and a bit of luxury. Loved the accommodation, food was great and all your staff tried so hard to be friendly. Lovely trip thank you. Only small negatives, bed were a bit ‘firm’ for us and the lack of internet coverage really does need to be improved.
This was a good place to stay, the location is great on the beach and close to Corelajo with an easy and quick bus ride. There is a car rental on site and the front desk can help you get a car if they’re closed or full. This seems like it would be best for families with children under 12 or couples who prefer sunbathing/pool days. My only real complaint is that it’s discouraged to fill up reusable water bottles. The food and drinks are ok, I encourage getting the reservation for the Canarian themed restaurant. It does feel a bit like stepping back 4 or 5 decades into the past but things are clean and well maintained and they make quite an effort with the entertainment.
Okay
2 night stay. Not in the hotel, In an apartment with stairs to bedroom. Grounds well kept. Luggage rack downstairs. Odd but okay. Food okay.
Very poor, food tasteless. Our toilet did not flush,i called reception more than once, no reply. We reported before dinner at reception, on return nothing done. We had to use bin to put water down the loo. Very bad for disability, yes there is a lift but does not access all floors. After breakfast we could not get a coffee till 10.30am when one bar opened, yet you could access beer or soft drinks yourself. Faulty bathroom light, dangerous, Shower strong and hot over the bath. Bus does to visit the hotel, again bad for disabled. Bus always late and full so cannot guarantee to get on. Great beach area, however if a prude it is also a naturist beach. Both Rui hotels very dated. Oh and no pool towels available after 12.00. For me 2nd time in Rui, here and PEORTO DEL CARMEN Never again! Queues at reception arriving and leaving.
Love it. Just all of it.
Friendly and welcoming staff, amazing variety of foods at every meal time, always something different to try. The building is lovely and clean, amazing access to pool and beach. Perfect relaxing getaway.
Riu-tastic!!!
I stay here once or twice a year without hesitation. Everyone I deal with from Moh the waiter to the housekeeping maids like Anita are so helpful and friendly. It's a great tribute to the hotel that the staff are so excellent and continue to work for Riu. A massive turnaround of guests and they do it seamlessly. Fantastic!
This hotel is more or less 2.5 star and has possibly best location. Unfortunately apart from location, its very basic, food is repetitive, bar drinks are boring, annexue flats are outdated, staff is good. The pools are nice but not temperature controlled so do factor that in during windy days. We stayed for 4 days and were bored to death. not recommended and not value for money. Sorry Riu ;(
Dated but okay. The rooms were like a time capsule from the 80s but we got a cheap deal so not complaining. View from room was spectacular and we were on the 7th floor. Staff were excellent.
An enjoyable stay
While this hotel is a little old fashioned it is run very efficiently and the staff are always helpful and cheerful. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. Wine, beer and soft drinks freely available on tap and spirits and cocktails from several bars. Loads of sunbeds or tables to sit at during the day with free pool towels. The safe in the bedroom was free as well so no extras to pay for. We enjoyed our stay here.
Perfect stay, pure fun
This hotel is something else Lots of fun people ( who return every year) great location, good entertainment, just perfect for friends and single travelers- great international people to meet The hotel is older but has everything you need
Great week of winter sun
We had a great week. The location is amazing, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was varied and tasty. The hotel is dated but for what you pay it is a very good value holiday.
Its just the food
The hotel is in a perfect location for the beach...it is a bit dated in the rooms but your not on holiday to be in your room i suppose 😂 pool area is nice plus drinks r always nice & cold which is a bonus. The main thing letting the hotel down is the food its very repetitive and not the best in the forat place 😒
I loved this place. Amazing location, just wow!. It is a big hotel with between 1-2,000 guests so feeding those numbers "All Inclusive" can't be an easy task. However, the food was just fabulous, and The Mandarin and The Canarian cuisine was just superb. This place exceeded my expectations and the vibe was excellent. The hotel is a little tired (built in 1972), but I loved it, the location, beach and catering were just excellent.
First class .staf could not do enough for me .lovely food and good choice off drinks I will return very soon views and scenery was an amazing .felt save on my own day and night very good value for my money c u soon thank u for a lovely stay and memories x
Love this hotel
What an amazing stay. Lovely hotel. Great food. Staff lovely. Drinks plentiful
The property is in a beautiful location and was great for the price. The furniture and decor is very outdated, the mattresses are not very comfortable and the elevators were problematic but overall we enjoyed our stay.
Location is amazing!
We stayed for a week in Riu. This hotel offers more than we pay. Good value for money, excellent location, quiet, staff are very polite and helpful, good entertainment, good quality and choice of food. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will come back again. Thank you
Excellent service! All staff were professional and friendly and on point. Everything is very convenient, walkable, easy to access. We loved the kids club as well!
Needs flattening.
The place is falling down. Awful.food. Lots of people falling ill.
Hotel is very old looking, in need of a revamp. Lifts constantly out of order and having to walk up seven flights of stairs all the time. Also, food experience a lot of the same dishes was being served every day.
Las habitaciones necesitan renovacion. Los visillos eran finos y no evitaban que entrara luz por el día. Comida buena y zonas comunes excelentes. Staff muy amable
Great hotel, great service, lovely staff.
Nothig to point out. Lovely staff clean rooms, plenty of choice to eat and drink. Direct access to beach. Whatelse you need for a relaxing holiday.? Will come back again.
I’ve been to this hotel on few occasions and have always had a lovely holiday. The position of the property right on a beautiful beach, the food although very good a little repetitive the rooms r a little dated and in need of revamp but lovely and clean and staff can’t do enough for u if u need anything u just need to ask at reception and it gets sorted as soon as possible the views from my room was fabulous and very quiet loved my stay for much needed R&at and will definitely be staying again in the future!
Reception staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The food was great with lots to choose from, the staff were really friendly. The hotel is beautiful in a stunning location although it could do with a little TLC. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you
Good price quality ratio for a relaxed stay
The hotel is huge and a bit old, some parts feel like 90ties, but overall good experience. The price beats little flaws. Location is amazing, right on the beach and in national park. The dunes are right outside the hotel. We'll be back once we visit Fuerteventura.
Wspaniały! Nie burzcie go.
All inclusive spełnia wymagania. Dostępne baseny i plac zabaw dla dzieci. Hotel godny polecenia. Pracownicy hotelu nie wiedzą czy ten hotel za rok będzie istniał bo rząd hiszpański wydał decyzję o jego zniszczeniu.
Great location of the hotel and helpful staff .
Price/ quality and quantity, one can't complain.
I like the accessibility of everything, multiple restaurants, snack bars and pools plus located on the beach
The Kids club was fantastic along with excellent evening entertainment. The shows by the hotel entertainment team were wonderful and also kept young children engaged. The hotel in a fantastic location right on the beach with fantastic scenery and gorgeous walks along the sand dunes.
Nice stay at this hotel. Beautiful beach, clean facilities. Food got a little repetitive but was good quality and we always had something to eat. Pools were really nice especially the family pool which was heated. We were a little off season and there were always loungers available by the poolside. Staff was friendly.
We liked the wide variety of food options at each meal. The staff were very friendly. I mentioned that it was my birthday while on holiday and they left me a bottle of Prosecco and some chocolates which was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. The hotel is dated but we had everything we needed in our duplex apartment. The main town of Corralejo takes an hour to walk to but it is a flat walk or you can get the no. 6 bus just up the road which runs regularly. I would recommend this hotel and would come back here again.
Esta en una linda localización
Fantastic hotel right on the beach only down side is it’s a bit dated room furniture stuck in the eighties
Happy holidays
Had a lovely stay-staff were all lovely-hotel was very good, yes a little dated but for a 3star hotel you couldn’t fault it. You would not go hungry as there was something for everyone at all meals
Great value hotel Friendly and helpful staff Good food & a wide choice
A value for money option
This large hotel does require some up grading but is spacious, well situated for beach lovers and the food and drink is very good. Staff very pleasant and all areas are kept very clean. About a one hour pleasant walk into town or a 10 euro taxi. The entertainment by in house team is pretty dire though.
Love this place!
We stay here primarily to train as athletes as the location on the beach/park is perfect! The trail runs over in the nature reserve are superb and there's the beach to relax on afterwards. The staff are SO friendly with constant greetings from every cleaner, maintenance man, waitress - they're a hard working team who barely stop. They all run a fantastic hotel and the all-inclusive buffet is always perfect for refuelling us. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again... and again...
Rundown hotel. Repetitive school buffet like food. No internet in the rooms, in 21 century!!!
Amazing hotel
The hotel is amazing with a nice sea view. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is friendly and food is nice.
A great value beach stay
The location of the hotel is sublime and the sea views picture perfect but need a bus 6 to get into Corralejo. BusStop is Los hoteles fare 1.40eu. The rooms are dark wood and dated but clean and functional. Food was varied and usual AI fare - no issue with food hygiene. Entertainment ok - mix of in house team efforts and external acts
Great hotel. The only thing I would suggest is more entertainment before the show. The show isnt until 9:15 so you are hanging around. You have to get your seats early to get goods ones.
Loved the location, food was really good.
Great service, food and staff
Really pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food available from early morning to late at night included a very wide selection at breakfast, lunch, dinner along with additional continental breakfast available until lunch and snacks throughout the day. The "fancy" restaurant which required a booking was great and nice break from the main dining room. Pool and breach area really nice and generally had loungers available. Plenty of parking and the rest of the island was easily accessible by car and/or bus. The dunes and surrounding area including the beach is beautiful. We stayed as part of a wider trip to Lanz/Fuerta and really enjoyed it. Only criticisms would be the decor which is dated and fact that there is no-wifi in rooms (wifi worked well around the ground floor and other common areas). Would certainly return and recommend. Great value too.
room tired looking
Needs a referb but excellent value and great beach
Loved it
Amazing value for money, all staff were very helpful and friendly at all times, great food and drink selection and definitely best location for the beach
Beware
The hotel along with one other is in an isolated location far from any other development. Reception staff are rather bland and matter of fact whilst the cleaners and restaurant staff are welcoming. mark your table with some personal effect in between visits to the buffet as the clearing of tables is overenthusiastic. My room in the Oliva village was clean, spacious and on the middle floor of three storeys, I asked for high! Basic key operated door and safe, nice shower and bidet with no hot water. The floors are all tiled and walls very thin, I could hear the flicking of switches and snoring coming from next door whilst trying to sleep wearing ear plugs. The fridge made an intolerable noise and had to remain unplugged. Small Tv with at least three English channels, wifi works well in the main building precincts but not at all in the village complex. On my second night of a four night stay I was struck down by a violent sickness and diarrhoea attack. This could only be blamed on food eaten in the restaurant and reviews I read for stays a few months ago also detailed this. It left me reluctant to trust very much on offer for the remainder of my stay, so I settled for eating very little! Just as well the rate charged was very cheap! The phone in my room rang at 3 30 am on the day I was checking out. 7 am at reception the person on duty could not explain why that was, and my checkout experience was one of more bland staff disinterest and minimum of effort.
The hotel its self is a little tired but that is the only fault it has. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, from the front of house staff to the gardeners. There was entertainment in the evenings which were enjoyable. The food was amazing and you are spoiled for choice. The whole place is spotlessly clean and is constantly being cleaned. The beach is absolutely stunning, the surrounding area is beautiful and it is easy to walk into Corralejo one way or the sand dunes the other way.
Cheap and cheerful. Really what you would expect for three stars. Beach location was splendid.
Amazing
This was such a nice hotel, for a decent price, outdated but apart from that everything else was lovely, friendly staff, great food, drinks were nice, and amazing entertainment. Would recommend this to friends. Perfect that itis literally on the beach too.
Nice break in the sun
5 day break with a friend , weather was fantastic which was a bonus. Hotel is ok, staff friendly , food lovely, location perfect only down side is it needs a refurbishment and shame the drinks aren’t premium brand as then it would definately be a 4* hotel.
Pleasantly surprised
Lovely clean room. Comfy bed. Food and drink plentiful and enjoyable. Staff incredibly hard working and friendly. Plenty activities. usual sunbed tagging. Cant wait to return.
The hotel hasn’t been updated since the 80s. There is a strong smell. The food was terrible. The beds were awful!
Short stay
Great stay, food, drink and entertainment was excellent.
Could have more vegetarian options
Lovely hotel with amazing staff
Lovely hotel - beautiful good, fabulous staff, amazing views - Will certainly be back ….. only thing was whilst we were there at the end of January the wind was freezing cold which is out of the hotel’s hands 😊
A typical 3 star hotel. Cheap and cheerful. Staff are great, food good.
I found the staff to be superb! Very friendly multilingual staff. Welcoming and professional. I did not like how some of the food was set out as it was exposed to flies and was not labelled. Other than that I found the hotel to be superb!
Solo traveller ! Room was adequate but dated but kept clean and everything worked in my room.the views and location to and of the beach are fantastic .the staff were friendly and helpful and food and drinks were constantly made available from the moment I arrived to the moment I left .I only stayed for 3 nights but really enjoyed my break and would consider staying at this property again although as a solo traveler maybe being more in the town would be more entertaining.
The reception staff in this hotel are fantastic. Very friendly polite and helpful. Whilst the rooms are clean they desperately need refurbishment
Great, hassle free Holidays! All included. Great service - very friendly. Wide food and drink selection. Hotel placed right at the beatiful La Oliva Beach. Room was pretty standard, however kept very clean throughout our stay. Perfect place for the whole family to chill out. Competetively priced as well for what was included. Highly recommended.
Fantastic location and friendly and helpful staff. Accommodations falling apart though and needing serious maintenance. No control over abuse of sun beds around swimming pools. Not Covid safe.
Great quality and price
Location food variety staff superfriendly spacious rooms. Highly recommended for an all inclusive hotel.
Decent value break
It’s a good location with a lovely beach and not far from Corralejo and decent value for the price. It’s a bit dated and bed wasn’t very comfy. The food and drink ok, no better but perfectly good value for what I paid. Not one of the better Riu hotels I’ve stayed in and could do with an upgrade but that was reflected in the price.
Xmas Break
A very nice 2 night stay staff all very nice food better than some of the 4 star hotels we have stayed in Fuerteventura great location
Very nice facilities, but terrible rooms. No internet, no power outlets, unless you want to unplug the lamp and sit in the dark.
In need of TLC
The hotel is in a brilliant location right on the beach. The food and drink offering was really good and staff friendly and polite. Just let down by the condition of the room. Very dated decor in the room with stains all over the carpet. We slept poorly as the mattress was poor. For over £100 a night it was disappointing, would be a really good hotel if small investment in the rooms.
The property had a fantastic location right on the beach the views form the room were amazing. The staff were friendly, efficient and professional. The food was varied and of a very high quality. The rooms however were very dated. With all the good qualities of this hotel however, why would you want to spend too long in your room?
we enjoyed it
You have to go with the right expectations, it's a 3* all incl hotel and it delivers just that. But not everybody can afford the Ritz and this place is excellent value for money, for families in particular. It is dated but the family rooms are very spacious and the location next to the best beach and dunes is magnificent. Special shout out out for the kids club entertainers. Food is not bad, same for the drinks. On the down side- pillows are horrible and there is no real evening entertainment.
Great staff but the facilities are falling apart
The staff is mostly awesome! Great people that are really helpful. Food is on par with all inclusive. Not great but okay. The problem is the property is in desperate need of a refresh. It’s really falling apart. Also, the family rooms are apartments set back from the beach. This was not made clear in the booking. We expected an ocean view. Overall three stars mainly because the staff has some all stars that really understand customer service.
Vintage hotel ( 1977 ), clean, decent cooking, very friendly, professional staff, Enjoyed it , had a good time there and certainly book it again.
Enlist beach vacation
It is located in a very special location nearest to serving and majestic views and feelings of the Sahara desert most beautiful location on the island we felt privacy at the buffet dinners not watched over like other resorts very clean staff was perfect it was very impressive I fell in love with the location the year before I had to return a great getaway spot in Spain I put my daughter through surfing classes age 13 for 3 days she got on a few waves was supper fun weather fantastic
Great accommodation in FuerteVentura
The location is great . Hotel is the closest to the sand dunes with magnificent views. All rooms have sea views. Beach is great with soft white sand . Lot of food choices in large buffet although the food is not very tasty , cafeteria style. Price for an all inclusive is good. Service is great and reception employees were very accommodating as we arrived earlier than check in time.I will definitely come back
Close to Corralejo, steps from the beach and a beautiful one, easy drive from the airport, near by camel riding, the staff was awesome Outdated.
Cookers really rud. I asked for a clarification about the kind of meat and they pointed out whether I was able to read.
It felt like I was inside a Walmart. Lots of choices of food but horrible quality. Eat a piece of cake and got a tingly feeling in my tongue so not sure what it was made out of
We've spent the Easter Holiday in Riu Oliva Beach and it was amazing! All the staff is very friendly and helpful that makes you feel real as a guest, not an unwanted person everybody is smiling all the time if you need something just ask them and they will help you. Hotel is quite big it has 800 rooms still you don't feel it's too crowdy, it has 4 restaurants with amazing food that we had never enough! There's definitely something for everybody! Really great job at the kitchen! Then we have the entertainment group. We've spent there 14 days and seen 13 evenings shows and just one of them was quite poor but it wasn't from the hotel crew just some 3 lads singing. Our 5 years old son was waiting for every show to see and we always take the seat in first rows as it was astonishing! Big thumbs up for the entertainment crew! As the hotel is not new just the rooms need some refurbishment as you can see some signs of use on furniture, doors etc. but it's very clean, and in all areas of the hotel cleaning staff is doing a good job! Beautiful beach just outside the hotel is another advantage for the hotel it can be busy but it's long enough to find some quiet place to chill. Great value for money makes this hotel a good place to stay on Fuerteventura Island, we felt like it's closer to 4* than to 3* so we definitely can recommend this hotel!
I was very impressed overall, helpful staff, good facilities and good food. They did a great job of entertaining kids during Easter break and managed 300+ guests through meals. Generous access to beverages throughout the day. Recommended and would return.
Very big hotel with a lot of people. Good food and overall a nice stay
Serf up
Nice location great food and staff
Canary island 2019 with family and fends best winn
Was a great location easy to find never being there myself and every one th aught the same we all loved the room and the shower the hot water was most important to me I can't stand a cold shower nore do my kids it was like being at home the room was cleaned every day witch they were good at that beds were made tables were cleaned floors were vacuumed and a fresh supply of towels and a good Cotten quality not thin they felt good when you used them the sheets on the bed were soft as well the blankets were perfectly soft as well and not to hot for the tempi true in the room . It was not far to the lift to go to the beach restaurant pool or to take a walk we walked 3 times a day morning mid day and in the afternoon to loose some wait because the food was piled high breakfast lunch and dinner my daughter loved the selections they had to eat when she likes the food I new I picked a great hotel and made my day it was a treat to keep her happy and me as well my friends braught there 2 children and they enjoyed the day care for the little one they had things for them to do like field trips and day care witch gave mom and dad time to them self it was my treat on staying at this location so it made me feel good to see they liked it as well and I met them in Poland and never traveled with them it was my first time and they were the right people to enjoy this property the hotel had lots to do for kids we even sent my daughter to a beginners serf school wich was right in town called home .
Very friendly staff, and available 24 hours plus 24 hr Doctor available
The staff were so friendly and approachable. Our housekeeping lady was so sweet and cleaned the room nicely everyday. The only downfall is the wall is paper thin as I could hear next door snoring every night (we were there for 6 nights). Also, this resort tends to attract the older generation during the winter months (we were there in Jan) so it’s something you’ll notice but we had a blast, loved the all inclusive and sporting activities within the hotel.
Like: Location is good, meals are good, staff is good, parking is good. Dislike: Upper light would be useful, additional electrical sockets also
First time in Fuerte , fab . The hotel staff were incredable helpful and friendly . From gym to english TV to internet . Secure , safe and clean. With both taxis available and local bus service located just outside it was very convient . First time every going all inclusive which was excellent value . The buffet fare is of good catering standard with something for everyone and a huge selection of choice . I would recommend it to my friends indeed . Slan go foill !
it's on the beach, good location. the food was really bad.
The hotel is in a stunning position, right on a beautiful sandy beach. It has a large swimming pool and outdoor hot tub. There were plenty of sun loungers available. The evening and breakfast buffet were great. There was plenty of choice. I booked the hotel because it had free Wi-fi I was disappointed it only worked down stairs. I wrongly assume it would work in the bedrooms. I might have missed this being explained in the hotel publicity. The tv had been set up in German and I could not easily find how to change it to English - I was only staying one night, so simply gave up.
Wonderful hotel situated directly on what is probably the best beach in Europe. Drinks and Food are good. Service is fantastic. Thank you for a really great holiday. Very much look forward to returning.
hotel very beautiful sea view beautiful practically on the long beach, excellent cleanliness of the rooms and
Great location, awesome service
Great location, awesome service. Only place on all of Canary Islands that you can stay inside national park, on great dunes of Corralejo and enjoy views like nowhere else.
Decent hotel at an amazing location.
The hotel is great for families. The location is amazing in the middle of the sand dunes (though obviously it's not in town, if that's what you are after). It is very family-friendly, and the all-inclusive restaurants had plenty of food that the children liked. It is a 3-star hotel, so one shouldn't expect the utmost in luxury, but we were very satisfied.

Location Beautiful - Hotel Dated
An old lady of a hotel but set on the most beautiful beach. View from every room. Food good. Very noisy clear up of staff!
