This place need some serious work and they should start with the dirty smelly carpet and repainting of the dark red hallways on SPG member 6th floor tat scares you as soon as you step out of the elevator.. Not sure how its even possible for this place to be listed as 4 star hotel!!
Needs improvements, definitively not a 4 stars
Over the past ten years, I have been to this hotel regularly, then I changed for the Radisson Hotel. As the Radisson was full this week, I had to stay for one night at the Meridien. Last time I was there a year ago and in also November 2017, they had a note on the elevator, "not working being repaired", so there is only one lift working which makes people awaiting longtime for a lift in the morning. Why on earth Meridien does not repair the lift which has been not working for one year ????
well located by the beach, convenient for business
Hotel need a major overall, changing carpet, improving on buffet and breakfast, also need to be more customer friendly, do not deserve 4 stars
Hotel needs major makeover.Cockroaches in bedrooms
Great staff but dismal.hygiene conditions. Filthy carpets.. Cockroaches in bedrooms.. and food has degraded, not good a price to.quality ratio.
very average hotel
I used to go to this hotel in the 80's and 90's, the hotel has deteriorated and not improved at all. the room are oldish and need renovation. the service need improvement. Most of the flight are at night and you are due to check out by noon, but the hotel refused to keep your luggages, which is crazy, I was told this is the directive of the management. Only one restaurant in the hotel which is ok by African standard, but not so good The price is competitive but the hotel has not much to offer.
Hotel conveniently located
This hotel used to be good, unfortunately it become disappointing, it need to be refreshed , carpet are old and smelly, only one lift works. There is a new management but no much improvements, maybe they are on the way?
carpet in the corridor and in the room are dirty
otherwise the hotel is ok , a bit pricey for this time of hotel which desserve when generous a 4 stars maximum
OK for short stay
You can see where it used to be a very nice place, however now very rundown and outdated. Staff were reasonably helpful but were certainly not interested in going out of their way to assist or make you feel welcome. Ensure you have cash or pay via Expedia as their credit card machine seldom works.
Not good value for money, poor service
The service is not up to standard for a Meridien hotel. The staff is unfriendly and arrogant, and do not treat you with respect. I stays several times at the hotel this year. Last month, I had to complained several times, as there were no towels in the room when I arrived there after a long trip and I had to wait long time before they brought towels in the room. I talked to the GM who apologies and told me he will put a bottle (I assume of wine ) in the room, which they never did, The gym is terrible. The buffet at night is no good , the foods were virtually cold, and the dinner very expensive for what was served. I paid 3 nights in advance with expédia and had planned to stay another four nights, after the second night, I contacted Expedia at night, to explain that I had to go to Port Gentil and that I wanted to postponed the third night for the following day, and book another four nights. Expedia called the hotel while I was awaiting on the phone and told me that they could not find anybody at the hotel who would speak well enough english to understand and make the changes .they asked me to go the next day at the reservation counter. I talked to Khaled, he told me that the night paid in advance was lost, and that this was not his problem, that I had to book for another four nights and pay for it. I do understand this but do not appreciate being talked down. I moved immediately for another five stars hotel who treat me well.
Hotel ok , reception staff kind of arrogant (Christian etc..) , had a couple of incident with the room, Hotel has room for improvement.
The badest hotel in my life
The beach not clean , room not clean, reception never help you in anything. The price is very expensive for this hotel. Finally , the hotel like 1 Star no more!!!!!!
Room next to elevator ,very noisy! Shower not working and no hot water.
It was a terrible experience at Le Meridien Re-Nda
Terrible staff who do not want to listed to a customer and help. Very racist Hotel, prefer bookings only for the white people Very poor wifi Reserved and paid for my booking, but when checking in, was turned down that my booking was not done and there was no free room for me. The services offered do not commensurate with then cost, terrible.
Enjoyed stay :)
It was good. Room service should be bit quick, rest all were fine.
Great facilities, not so well run
It's a well set-up hotel and staff all speak English, which is a plus in Gabon, but it seems as though the place struggles to operate smoothly. I was initially sent to a dirty room (upgraded afterwards) and house-keeping didn't clean the room the first two nights and showed up at 5:30pm the third day. Staff were a bit hit and miss too - when the credit card facility was down one woman insisted I pay cash rather than process the card manually. Overall, I'd expect more for the price.
Average
Wouldn't recommend actually. But I don't see any good option around. So this is the only option you got. Hotel staff is unfriendly. Room service you can't expect every day and 100% perfect. Hotel needs refurbishment badly.
Should focus more on house keeping.
It does not fit into Le Meridien standards at all.
Need to be renovate
Room was very old, too much noise in the room, very weak wifi connexion. Bathroom was not really clean. My overall e periance was very bad
Average
Booked a twin room with 2 separate beds as 2 colleagues sharing. However got a room with 1 double bed.
ABSOLUTELY THE PITS
A DSGUSTING HOTEL. IF YOU BOOK THROUGH THIS BOOKING SERVICE THEY WILL PUT YOU IN ROOMS ON 3RD FLOOR WHICH THE STAFF SAY IS THEIR POLICY NOT TO MAINTAIN BECAUSE OF THE TARIFS. THIS BOOKING SERVICE SHOULD NOT PROMOTE THIS HOTEL. POOR TRAINING, COCKROACHES AND ANTS IN BEDS, DIRTY ROOMS, AND DINING ROOM KEEPS RUNNING OUT OF PLATES AND CUTTLERY BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH AND ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PURCHASE MORE.
DISGUSTED
FILTHY. POOR STAFF-POOR FOOD- EXPENSIVE- THIS BOOKING AGENCY SHOULD NOT HAVE HOTELS LIKE THIS ON THEIR BOOKS. AFTER DISCUSSIONS WITH HOTEL THEY SAID THAT IF YOU BOOK ON LINE YOU GET DISCOUNTS AND THEY PLACE YOU ON THE 3RD FLOOR, THEY DO NOT CLEAN THESE ROOMS BECAUSE THEY ARE CHEAP. THEY HAD ANTS IN THE BED AND COCKROACHES. NOT ONCE IN 7 DAYS DID WE SEE ANY STAFF MENBER SWEEP, MOP OR VACUUMN THE FLOORS. A THOUROUGHLY DISGUSTING ESTABLISHMENT
No improvement in the last 5 years...
This hotel is correct but expensive when considering its global condition. Compared to the others Le Meridien hotels I've stayed in, Re-Ndama is on the low side. There has not been any improvements in the last 5 years (date of my first stay) at least, which means that the hotel looks quite old and the rooms as well.
Good service
The stay is always pleasant at the Meridien Hotel. I would like to hope that they will be renovating soon though, as the hotel infrastructures is a bit old and will need some work.
beautiful pool area rooms need more lighting hard to work from room also interior is worn overall a 3
One of the better hotels in town
Not exactly up to international standards but is one of the better places to stay in town.
Good location. Need a touch of paint
Very good location. Nice pool area. Good breakfast and evening buffet. The hotels looks and fells a bit old. The shower makes the whole bathroom stand under water for the rest of the day. Overall a fine hotel. Kind and helpfull staf.
overpriced
Service too slow. No towels on rooms. Had to ask twice.
Le Meridien - Le Terrible !
There was a cockroach in my room, air conditioning was not working, and the mini refrigirator was missing. Towels did not look cery clean. Toilet flush kept on leakign. Staff was very unfriendly. They could not find my reservation durign check in and asked me to prove my room was indeed prepaid during check out. Internet availability is through prepaid cards only and they ran out of cards so I had no internet connection all day.
good business hotel
good business hotel, well located in the city.
Le Meridien Re-Ndama. GABON
This hotel is very much over priced. a Local beer cost you around three times the price than bars around the hotel.. The food is reasonable, although expensive compared to the restaurants around the hotel.
Fine, if you speak French
The hotel, like the country, is almost entirely French-speaking. If you do not speak French, you will most likely have a difficult time. The staff usually says "yes" or "ok" to requests made in English, but this do not mean that anything will happen. When a request is fulfilled it usually took 3-4 hours. The staff also does not usually answer their phones, and do not even think about getting an e-mail response. About the only internet connection is in a privately run business near the elevator, and it is quite expensive and works sporadically. The food if fine, but it is very expensive. The pool and patio in the back is nice, but realize that the beach below is extremely unsanitary. There is a viaduct loaded with sewage that flows out less than * yards up the beach. If you want to be close to the US or French embassies and not too far from the center of town, this is a pretty good choice. If you are an American, your standards should be lowered. The Gabonese people are very pleasant and attractive, but the French culture has definitely affected their attitudes and behavior.
Koffi

Overall Average Hotel
Hotel itself is good. Rooms are less appreciable. I got a standard room with dirty carpet and hot water with red color which means pipes are old and rusty. Room smelt bad the first time I entered the room but got better the next days with the AC on all the day. Hotel area is ok, but beach is full of rubbish which was a pity. Hotel managers : I liked the hotel, the stuff and the Wifi. I very much appreciated the bus driver and his warm welcoming. Please make more effort cleaning rooms carpets, changing hot water pipes and cleaning the beach. It will make the hotel much more beautiful.
