Good rooms
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast Buffett was the best we have ever seen they thought of absolutely everything it was a real treat. The room could have been better we had two single beds pushed together but the head board for one of the beds was stuck to the wall so I had no headboard which was uncomfortable. A kettle and tea bags would have been a nice addition to the room as we don’t drink coffee
The hotel itself was beautiful and we were happy with our room. The only drawback to the hotel in our opinion were the prices in their restaurants - very expensive. All of Geneva is expensive, but this was more so.
The hotel is great, beds are comfy and the area and views around the hotel are amazing.
Good location
Very nice hotel easy access with everything
Bad Wi-Fi, dangerous Sharp glass furniture.
I booked his hotel because of flight cancellation from Switzerland to United States so it was an emergency situation. The Wi-Fi connection was extremely important and the hotel Wi-Fi connection was horrible. Frustrating as I tried to fill out government Covid apps for travel with their poor Wi-Fi internet service constantly disconnecting. I was grateful for early check in for my room because of my flight cancellation. My hotel room had dangerous sharp glass panels covering the furniture. The corner glass cover edge by the tv furniture stand Scratch my hand and almost cut open. That glass corner was inches to cutting a large laceration near soft tissue of my forearm.
They did not allow us to use the spa and the pool :( was sad plus they did not welcome us since we reached the hotel they were not friendly at the check in.
Nice but not modern
Hotel is nice and neat, it had better days
A
Excellent location and restaurants with friendly staff
Definitely not 5-star!
This is definitely no longer a 5-star property and there are much better choices in the same area. The property is in desperate need of a full renovation, the rooms are showing a lot of wear and tear and the bathrooms are direct from the 1990's. Service is fine but nothing spectacular. Housekeeping was very inconsistent with toiletries not being refilled and coffee and glass wear not being replaced on multiple days. These were attended to when notified, but you should not need to do that at a 5-star property. No benefit for being a Bonvoy Gold Member - not recognized when checking in and simply told no when I asked for the complimentary upgrade membership is supposed to entitle you to even though they clearly weren't at full capacity. Warning that parking is 40 CHF per day and there is no other option. We stayed at other 4 or 4.5 star properties during our 2 week trip in Switzerland and this was by far the worst. I would avoid this property until a major overhaul is completed.
Great location , quiet and great staff always ready to help
Geneva's best
Very comfortable stay, and excellent friendly service.
Excellent staff service which make you feel very welcome. Stylish rooms but could improve on amenities like adding slippers , toothbrush and toothpaste. Could also improve on variety of buffet breakfast.
Nice hotel with great staff, service and food.
Hotel was very nice for my business trip.
Great venue.. very professional and friendly staff. Hellishly pricey.
Great Hotel, Services and location
Great Hotel, Services and location .
The staff were very attentive and the service was brilliant. In consideration of the cost of staying there, the rooms look dated.
Fabulous hotel with Lake views
Gorgeous hotel with a lovely pool area & patio restaurant. Lovely views of the lake and within walkable distance to old town. Service is impeccable.
Impressive, helpful staff, good facilities. Excellent all round. No complaints.
Great hotel and location.
The hotel was one of the most luxurious I’ve stayed in. Excellent rooms, facilities and service and beautiful views across the lake.
Great location by the lake and city
I had a very peaceful 3 night stay in a quiet room on the 8th floor. The hotel is ideally located within easy walking distance of the city and sits long side great views of the lake. Easy, quick and efficient public transport to the airport / Palepo where I was attending a conference made even more aatidifacory with the free travel pass provided by the hotel. This includes the water taxi service which is 5mins walk from the Hotel. . Staff were also friendly and efficient. Nicely equipped and furnished room and whilst not the largest; it was adequate for my needs.
luxury hotel
outstanding hotel, friendly staff. Amazing Michelin starred restaurants. I shouldn't complain about $12 for a can of coke, but I think even for a place like this, that's pretty steep! otherwise, I couldn't complain close to public transportation which is great!
Very luxurious hotel! Nice breakfast.
The hotel staff was very professional and helpful. Rooms were clean and serviced regularly. The best surprise was the mobile buddy in each room. This helped us to get connected and make free local calls. The transport pass eas also a great hrlp to move around in Geneva,
Great hotel close to lake
Overall an excellent experience, but not the best soundproofing... woken up each morning to noise from guests/staff in the hallway and the guest next door yelling down her phone.
Room small but nicely fitted out with opening windows, which was a bonus. Worse aspect of stay was very expensive breakfast - chf52 !!! Coupled with poor service. The following day we had breakfast at the Kempinski which was excellent.
All the staff were very welcoming and really helpful, they made our stay at the hotel amazing experience. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family
perfect stay
amazing
Great hotel and reasonable price (For Geneva)(
Lovely Hotel. Great room. Excellent French restaurant - awesome experience
The hotel is centrally located, close to the lake and bus terminals.
Beautiful hotel and location
Beautiful, well-appointed hotel on the edge of Lake Geneva. The accommodations were clean and very comfortable, and we enjoyed a drink & dessert at the hotel bar as well as a room service breakfast, both of which were excellent. The hotel is pricey, but the lakeside location is worth it. It's a bit further walk to the main area of the city, but really not much of a complaint.
Very nice hotel
It has remained with us as a special experience. We enjoyed staying there. It is wonderful to stay there and received a luxurious feeling.
Excellent location and service
Very smooth and enjoyable, service is very good, breakfast buffet is complete and high quality.
Would stay again
Some good and bad points about this hotel: Good - Staff are friendly and helpful - Nice bright rooms - Well insulted, so nice and quiet for sleeping - Beds are very comfortable, slept very well. - Nice Hermes bath products Not so good - Internet was slow - TV system was too complicated - Location could be better. You are towards the end of the hotel stretch. I was in town for meetings and everything was in the city center, I had to constantly walk up and down the road, which was nice for exercise but to enjoy the view. Not so good when wet, grey and/or cold. One can take taxis but a waste when the distances aren't that long. Bad - The shower strength was weak, so took forever to try and shower Overall not a bad hotel. Would conspider staying there again. Would probably consider something else next time to compare.
Great hotel, will definitely be back …
I was there for business, and this is the hotel everyone in my industry wants to stay at, which says something in itself.
Good business hotel
The Hotel is very good but not excellent - Wifi did not work in the room and the engineer couldn't fix it at a time when I really needed to send and receive emails. The dining room network worked find but I was told it was my computer at fault.
Good hotel
Hotel was excellent. However the website said there was an indoor and outdoor pool. There is only an outdoor pool which let down the stay as one of our requirements was an indoor pool
Impeccable!
The hotel is beautiful. View from the room is spectacular. The staff is incredibly professional and the cuisine in the restaurants is very delicious. Best hotel I have ever experienced.
Very good luxury hotel
Great luxury hotel with the highest standards of service. Clean, quiet, spacious rooms, very well maintained and equipped. Very good sleep quality, great location on the bank of the lake. Nice friendly staff.
lovely hotel, brilliant location, good views from room. Only thing to watch for is cost of drinks (£18 for a tea & coffee)
Very efficienr business hotel
A very good hotel, that mainly deals with business people and diplomats, but make the humble tourist welcome indeed. We had first rate attention from all the concierges. We made full use of the free city transport card provided, and would recommend any visitor to Geneva to do the same as it really is a very efficient system
Great staff. I was impressed with their friendliness and help during my stay. Great location. Easy to walk to restaurants and attractions. Also, easy access to public transportation.
Enjoyable stay
The staff was polite helpful. The room was clean with beautiful views overlooking lake Geneva. I will recommend it t all and definitely stay at the same hotel next time around.
On Geneva Lake shore
Excellent
Just a great Hotel.
Been there before in the past. it's a very good hotel. service great and polite. only thing i could not stand were the pillows, too soft for me. out of sheer laziness i did not ask more different ones. i will go back.
I expected more
The hotel location was fantastic, just a on the lake but away from all the hassle. Internet does not work on apple computers for no apparent reason but it does work on iPhones The room service pizza was clearly a stoe bought pizza that was heated we barley could cut through it. The hotel needs a bit of an update The lobby lounge is amazing wit wonderful service view and food.
Swiss vacation
Beautiful and modern. Zen atmosphere! The fact that they have a Nespresso machine in the room is also another .
We chose the perfect hotel for our long weekend
We stayed in Geneve for a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Dispite the weather the hotel and spa facilities were brilliant, we booked in for a spa session it was a truely amazing experience.
Classic bedrooms
The main reception area and lounge bar are both very contemporary. Hallways and Bedroom have that classic dark wood look. Bedroom quite as is the general area surrounding hotel. Spa area is at a price, although gym and the beautiful outdoor swimming area are free.
A presidential visit
A hotel that has a reputation that it deserves. Very high standards throughout. Well trained and courteous staff.
was not good enough
i do not like the furniture , and the bed was not comfortable
Didn't measure up to 5-star rating
The facilities are excellent - and the price is high. Unfortunately we didn't find it good value for money. On check-in, despite a 40 franc per day cost for parking, the key given didn't work - requiring a drive around the one-way systems of central Geneva back to the main entrance for a second key. On arrival in the room, we found the telephone's many keys to dial for hotel services were all inoperative - after 10 minutes spent finding an extension list we reported the problem, which didn't get fixed. Finally, room service had a high cost for mediocre food. Finally in the bar, it took ages to get served (or even noticed) by the bar staff.
Outstanding Hotel
Could not fault it in any regard on this occasion.
Nice hotel.
The only problem is the size of the rooms.it is very expensive hotel for what the offer. but thats geneva.
3 Star Breakfast
The staff were cheerful and helpful, but the Breakfast was a complete let down for a 5 star Hotel. I do not exagerate when I say the breakfast was, if lucky a 3 star rating, so disappointing. It was made worse by the presentation of the breakfast invoice given to me mid way through my breakfast (and it was incorrect ). No, I would not return to this hotel nor recommend it to friends. The owner's of President Wilson have got some hard thinking to do.
Nice hotel close to beautiful Lake Geneva
We were very much looking forward to our stay at Hotel President Wilson as we had read it was rated in the top 100 Luxury hotels. We stayed there for 6 nights booking two rooms. The hotel staff were polite and professional at all times. However we were disappointed given how much we were paying for our rooms per night that there were many added extras to the cost. For example an adaptor, the use of which in other 5 star hotels we have stayed at was complimentary, was for sale in each room at a cost of 12CHF. Coffee facilities were available in the room at a cost of 5CHF per sachet, and the use of the hotel pool for guests was 50CHF during the week or 100CHF on the weekend.
Nice hotel but not worth the price
The rooms were nice but the housekeeping service wasn't great. I called them back to clean the bathtub and still needed to clean it myself after the second visit. The tub sparkled after I cleaned it with a little shampoo. It's not clear what was being done by housekeeping. The facilities were terrific. I used the spa, pool and fitness facility. Each was maintained very well. The restaurant was very good but overpriced. The breakfast buffet was 47 Swiss francs. I ate there once but I don't think that most weight-conscious people would eat enough for breakfast to be worth that price. The location was perfect, 5-10 minutes from the city center and overlooking Lake Geneva. The staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful but the concierge couldn't seem to get anything right except restaurant recommendations. For the bus tour to Lausanne and Montreaux, they sent us to the airport when we only needed to walk 5-10 minutes to the bus station located in the city center. (I was reimbursed for the taxi when I informed the concierge of the error). For the tour to Chamonix and Mont Blanc, the concierge told us to pay for the bus trip but that tickets for the activities would be purchased from the tour guide. We were the only people on the tour whose hotel had not made complete arrangements, including activity tickets. The tour guide reluctantly assisted us with purchasing the necessary tickets in Chamonix. I will try another five star hotel when I return to Geneva.
nice hotel
nice people, spotless room. but food expensive, no indoor swimming pool
Overrated
Not clean, far, bad surrounding and rude relation.
Great all round
I was at the hotel on business but I have nothing bad to say. Service was excellent, food was fabulous and rooms were superb. The staff were very accommodating. Will always stay there in Geneva.
Wonderful location by the lake
Great rooms right on the lake. The view down the lake was wonderful. The room was very comfortable with a king size bed. The public areas are very modern and stylish. Lovely comfortable sofas. Restaurants serve lovely but expensive food.
Excellent service, beautiful hotel and nice location on lake geneva!!!
Great Hotel Experience
This is a beautiful hotel. Wonderful service and amenities.
Excellent Hotel
Clean, friendly staff, near to shops, restaurants etc
Geneva on business trip with wife - February 2012
all in all a nice stay but: -staff should be reminded to help clients with luggage and not being asked; -waiting ten minutes to check in is not nice. just one person behind desk does not make a great first impression on new clients; very much appreciated having wi-fi included and free of charge, something that is becoming a real treat elsewhere. bar staff very attentive and nice as of all staff really. my visits to geneva are brief and all around financial district. for this reason hotel a bit too far and i won't probably choose it again but not because of any other reason. going winter time you won't have use of the outdoor swimming pool and therefore i would suggest going later if you could choose.
Wooooow !
simply .. this hotel is very excellent . every thing is great especially the Lebanese Restaurant .
best lake view in geneva
A fantastic hotel with resort like facilities.Suitable for both families and business. Highly recoomended. rgds well travelled Monaco Resident
Geneva's finest
This is a very luxurious hotel in a great location. If fact, it is probably the finest hotel in Geneva with the Kempinski being a close second. Very expensive with the weak US dollar.
Clean, north of city center
Very clean, excellent amenities, helpful staff, prompt service. Slightly north of city center, several blocks from center of Geneva.
Great hotel let down by slow reception
This is a stylish hotel in a convenient location with good views. Rooms are a good size and it is a pleasure to stay there. It is only let down by a very slow check in and check out. More staff are needed, more training and quicker procedures as it spoils the high service impression of the hotel.
Very decent but similarly expensive !
The facilities and the overall cleanliness of the hotel were exemplary. It is modern with a touch of old world charm. The staff were also faultless in their service and most pleasant attitude. The only faults that one could really highlight would be the rooms and the expense. The rooms were somewhat tired and with visible paint cracks and various chips and knocks around the room, I think it would be time for some redecoration. The price of the food and beverages in the hotel lobby were expensive by any standards and though beautifully presented and delivered, not particularly justified to such an extent.
Rien à redire.
Excellent property with many amenities
