Great location and close to water taxis and major sights.
We loved the view of the Grand Canal from our room, very close to the water taxi, very close to Plaza San Marco, and lots of great restaurants and shops within close walking distance.
Perfect location!
The location takes some beating, right next to St Marc's Sqare. Loved our visit.
Will come back
Incredible time, extremely professional staff and clean service
Great Location directly opposite to Waterbus station st Zaccarias with direct link to Marco Polo airport less than 100 metres to hotel entrance Close proximity to SanMarco square active tourist traffic and activity throughout day and early evening Great dining in close proximity and Breakfast arranged through hotel extremely good selection
This place was perfect for our 1 night stay. The staff was great at communicate via email and in person. They directed us on how to use the Vaporetto to get from the train station to the hotel. The rooms were clean and the bed was super comfortable. We were with a 10min walk to everhthing. And the Vaporetto stop was a minute from the hotel.
Great location … near water taxi shuttle stop . Quiet at night
I did not like the bed or bedding
The hotel is in a great location in the heart of it all, overlooking the lagoon and close to St. Mark's Square. We had the first floor room which was economical but has no view and is very small. That said, the room was surprisingly quiet and also clean and well appointed. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Paganelli and would definitely return, but with a room upgrade!
Great property in Venice. Comfortable rooms with breakfast included before you explore!!
The staff was terrible. I almost missed my flight as a result that there was nobody in the front desk to check out. The front door was locked so you couldn’t get out. I had to go searching for a staff member who was in another bldg. i happened to find a door open in the back of the hotel and located the staff member. In case of any fire, this would be a fire hazard. Also the room was infested with black tiny spiders on the floor. The toilet would not fill up with water after flushing. I had to play with the flushing mechanism in order to fill the tank. Wifi very slow. All in all a bed experience. Will not go there again and will not recommend ever. Location was good however. Only positive.
Great location. Wakable and easy access to water taxis. Quite, clean and comfortable.
The staff members are exceedingly helpful and personable. The go out of their way to ensure that guests have a good experience. We loved the location (near the water taxi drop-off and all major sites). The room was a bit small and could have benefited from more lighting, but it was air conditioned and quite comfortable.
Staff was very helpful. They answered all our questions about the area.
Hotel location is great!
More space washrooms
Delayed flights got us to airport after the water bus had stopped running. The hotel arranged a water taxi for us at 2am. Location of hotel is so close to everything we wanted to see. The stairways were a little 'crazy' but easy enough to navigate with our bags. Room was clean - Bed was comfortable. A/C was decent since it was over 90F when we were there. Thank you for a nice stay.
Was a nice easy stay
Very nice and helpful staff
Excellent staff Very helpful specially David Francisco etc
Nice
Property location, breakfast and staff all are great. Property is too old. We had problem with the room key card, and staff could not resolve so they gave us traditional key (after spending many attempts). Our room was on the 3rd level and the elevator does not reach the same level of our room so was tedious to get our 3 luggages to and from the room. I will not use this place again!
One of the rooms we had in the bottom floor was very noisy My daughter found nail clippings on the floor and the front desk did not seem to take it serious. One day they forgot to make our room. Breakfast was very good but the oriental mid age lady that takes care of it wa every rude. The other room we had had a great view of the lagoon
Convention location, great breakfast, one of the 2 rooms we had was in the bottom floor and was very noisy, my daughter also found nail clippings on the floor. We showed to the front desk and they claim it was my daughters !!! One day they forgot to clean our room and we had to remind them. The bravado was very good but the lady that takes care of it was very rude (an oriental mid age lady)
Excellent location steps away from St Marks square and right in front of the vaporetto water taxi station. Excellent breakfast included and the lady working at that restaurant was extremely nice and welcoming. Rooms are very old and dark it would be great to paint it white replace the curtains with white drapes to show the character of beams and the furniture. For group of 4 don’t get the room that sleeps 4 get 2 separate rooms it costs the same. No iron in the room and I recommend taking your own shampoo and conditioner.
Great location
The location of the property is great. Just in front of the water taxi stop and next to St. Mark's basilica however the hotel looks very old. Very small room and very small shower. Hardly any place to move around. The staff was helpful.
Great location and great view from the room.
Great staff, water pressure was awesome for showers, beds a little hard. Location was perfect for sight seeing and taking water boats
Great location
Convenient location. Room is nice, clean and modern. Look better than pictures. There was a walkway construction in front of the hotel, so it didn’t look pretty. Great breakfast. Confusing stairs and elevator. Friendly staffs.
We had a very nice stay.
Enjoyed our stay at Hotel Paganelli
Perfectly located, friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet.
Tiny, tiny, tiny. No space to put anything. Towels in the bathroom? Nope. My wife's makeup? Nope. Someplace for empty luggage? Nope. No tissues in the room. I asked staff for tissues and they acted like dragons flew out of my eyes. No sir, we don't have-a no tissues. Last style update maybe 1980. Padded walls! Poor lighting. Dingy and poorly maintained. The toilet flush button cover kept falling off. I could go on but bottom line is this is the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. Positives? Comfortable bed (but thin, dense pillows). Great shower (but again, no place to hang towels). Nice and professional staff.
Great location to water taxi and other big tourist attractions
It was a great location but older and cramped. We loved it for the location and convenience but it was a bit pricey and they charged us for a rollaway extra bed. We didn’t mind paying, but the charge was surprisingly high.
The room was very clean. The lobby was dated and the outside was dated. Served a nice breakfast that was included in the rate. Would have been nice if room had a view.
Black mold in the shower stall
The room was very small, the shower and sink did not drain well, and the shower stall had black mold.
We were in Venice for just two nights and the hotel exceeded my expectations. Room was a bit cozy for two adults and two teens, but we didn’t mind. We slept well, the shower was quite nice, and the front desk staff were helpful and pleasant.
Loved the location! Walkable to shopping, attractions, and dining!
Staff was super kind and friendly. We had an early flight and they even let us leave our bags so we could explore without them. It’s a great central location and very pretty.
I had a room right next to public bathroom, which was very noisy
Spacious room and helpful staff.
Very nice stay. This hotel was super close to St. Mark’s Square and right ON the Grand Canal. The staff was very helpful getting me onto a boat tour of the islands. The room itself was really nice and spacious.
Wonderful!
Very nice hotel and welcoming personal. Excellent location
Excellent! Wonderful view of the water and surrounding islands, San Giorgio Maggiore and Lido. Vaporetto stop is directly in front of the hotel. San Marco square is around the corner. The staff goes above and beyond, very friendly and helpful!
We loved this quirky space. It was clean and enjoyable. The staff was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. I would happily stay there again!
The place is very quiet, very friendly staff, the hotel is in a good location very close to the port of Zakarias
Good hotel very close to San Marco Square and opposite Vaperetto stop just outside. Overlooking Grand Canal. Good size room for three travellers. Would stay again.
Room was fantastic 3 minutes to San Marco public transport outside the hotel door would highly recommend and would stay there again staff were very friendly and very helpful
Paganelli is the place!
Paganelli was such a good location for a family getaway to Venice. Centralized on the waterfront with innumerable things to do aeound it.
the staff has attitude
Everything was perfect about the hotel. Will highly recommend it.
El personal súper amistoso limpio y cálida
A perfect hotel in a perfect place
From the moment we spoke to Elvis we knew we would love this hotel And we did the room was perfect, the view from the window was amazing. It is so central to everything. Elvis gave us great advice on how to get to everything and could not have been more helpful. Photos are from our room
The location is perfect for the first time visitors. It is right by the water bus stations for the route 1, 4.1, 4.2, 5.1.5.2, 14, etc. We found it very convenient to get the places we wanted. It is a few minutes walk to the most popular St Marko square. Good restaurants are all around. The front desk service is terrific and very helpful. The room is clean, very quiet for good quality sleep. The breakfast offers wide variety of options and we loved it. We highly recommend it.
The property location was very good. Close to everything and right next to the vaporeto stop (water bus). The breakfast was wonderful too! However, do not get a ground floor room. The room door opens directly onto the lobby and is next to the restaurant bathroom door! Terrible! Very noisy! Not only that, the room has a picture window that opens onto the indoor lobby. Just crazy. If you were to open the curtains everyone in the lobby could look into your room. Obviously we kept the curtains closed for privacy, but the noise and location were worth less than one star. And we paid over 250€ for this terrible room, more than we paid for much better rooms of anyplace we stayed in Tuscany, Lake Como Santa Margherita or Cinque Terre. I would consider staying here again, but not in a ground floor room. I complained vigorously to the staff, but they said there was nothing they could do to help us. Shameful for them to rent a room in such a terrible location with a window to the lobby. Only thing I can figure is that it was an office they converted to a guest room, but could at least have eliminated the inside window.
Book this hotel, you won't regret it!! I found this hotel on Expedia and was a little sceptical as the price was so great and the location was amazing!! Read a ton of reviews and decided to risk it. Do glad we did everything they said was true. Rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the location was brilliant. Beds were so so comfortable too and all the little amenities you could possibly need. We walked everywhere, saw loads and had an incredible city break in Venice. Hotel Paganelli was the icing on the cake, perfect place to stay and can't recommend it enough. I won't be looking anywhere else the next time we visit.
Great location
The room we are in should not be rented. It unbelievably has an interior window facing the lobby and kitchen with a restaurant toilet door next to our room door. Crazy! Very noisy with staff in the kitchen playing music and lots of commotion just outside our door. Totally insane! Luckily it is more quiet at night, but it is 7:30am now and I can already hear people talking outside our room. We are paying 250€ per night for an unacceptable situation! I complained and they just said, that’s what it is and they can’t do anything about it. We have been in Italy traveling for 3 weeks, Lake Como, Florence, Cinque Terra, Siena and this is the most expensive and worst hotel of the entire trip! We are here for 3 nights and can’t get out soon enough!!
Very odd
This hotel has a great location. I had a delayed flight and late check in and didn’t feel the love on arrival. Also, my room had a large window that looked into some sort of lounge space. The window literally looked into another interior room! Hysterical. It was like sharing my room with whoever happened to be out there. Honestly really awkward, noisy, etc. at least I can put this one down as the oddest hotel I’ve been in!
Great location and view. 5 stars. Rooms very small and shower is very slippery. Dangerous
Comfortable Hotel in a Good Location
Convenient location near St Mark’s Square and water taxi stop. Great views & friendly staff.
We absolutely loved this hotel and its perfect location in Venice! Although we did not have a water view, we were lucky enough to get a private balcony facing the back side of the property. The balcony was nice and quiet which gave us a break from the crowds. The room decor was gorgeous and the staff were excellent! I would definitely stay here again.
Best location for Venice. Good breakfast and wonderful staff.
Hotel inside is clean, modern and nice with lagoon views is a plus. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful
Great location - right across San Zaccaria boat terminal, and less than 5 mins walk to the Doge’s palace. That’s the best part of the hotel. Very convenient to get to any part of Venice from here. The hotel has been modernised hence amenities are all new. Rooms however are tiny - our room on 3rd floor required 2 elevators and bunch of stairs to get to (not ideal but it’s ok if you’re travelling light).
Liked the location and the staff were very friendly
Great lagoon views. Owner and staff were wonderful, very accommodating, helpful. Easy 5 minute walking distance to San Marco and the Palace Ducale. Hotel is literally right in front of the San Marco-San Zaccaria ferry stop, so transportation is perfect. Air conditioning worked well, modern updated bathroom. Unfortunately we slept in and missed the breakfast.
I only stayed here one night en route to the Dolomites but I completely enjoyed it. The staff were all very kind, the location is convenient to water taxis and the main square, and the room was very comfortable.
A very nice place with best location!
Amazing location, very clean, rooms are updated with all the modern amenities, nice bathrooms, Very nice breakfast area. Water taxi sroo off is 1 min walk from the hotel
The room was clean and stuff was nice. Nice location and walkable to major sightseeing areas.
Great location!! 3minute walk to St Mark Basilica. Lots of restaurants and shops. Hotel was clean and very comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. A big thanks to Francisco and Veronica super friendly and provided us with very helpful information. They were able to get us tickets to a concert where Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons was being It was wonderful!
This staff went out of its way to be helpful. I emailed them numerous times before my trip and received a response within 30 minutes. We had 2 rooms on the basin of Venice and they were right next to each other with a third door that could close of the hallway so we could leave our doors open like a suite. It was perfect! Good breakfast, too!
It was a little pricey for what it was.
Great hotel in a great location. Very busy area, so it you're looking for solitude I'd go somewhere else, but perfect if you want to be near all the attractions! The front desk people were great too.
Great Location and Value
The hotel was in a great location next to St Mark's Square. The staff was courteous and the room was clean. However, our shower would not drain fast enough so we were standing in water most of the time. We contacted hotel staff and they attempted to fix it, but it still did not drain fast enough.
Good clean room for what I paid and awesome location.
Excellent.
Excellent service and location. Vaporetti just out the front and get a lagoon room if possible. The hotel is a bit of maze and the breakfast is around the corner - but nothing to cause a problem.
Great location near San Marcos. Near vapporetto stops.
Fantastic hotel , friendly staff and great location, this was our second time staying here, it’s basically 3 minutes to St Marks square and if you opt for a room with a view you will have the best view in Venice. Highly recommend
Cramped rooms but stellar location. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone working on a budget.
Great location..great service…great price. We had a room overlooking the grand canal. Beautiful.
Love it
Very base. You have to ask for replacement coffee and teas. The location is excellent and staff courteous.
Hotel has a great convenient location. Room was clean, very small (for 2). It was a little dark and had a view of a back alley - not a great room to do anything but sleep in. Staff was very friendly and very helpful arranging things and with information. We were on the ground floor right off the lobby but it was still pretty quite so it worked out.
I can't say enough about the staff at Hotel Paganelli. From check in to getting a water taxi after checking out, they went above and beyond. The location convenient to dining, sites and transportation. The room was spacious and comfortable.
The hotel is old and needs a facelift, the location is great, front desk staff very accommodating
So easy to take water tax/vaporettos from San Lucia rail station right to hotel door at at San Zaccaria! We arrived early and they held our many bags graciously while we wandered the town. 3-5 minute walk to Bridge of Sighs, Doges Place & Piazza San Marco. Breakfast with great selections including scrambled eggs was awesome! Our room overlooking the water was Spectacular!! Staff so nice and helpful with everything!
This hotel was going to receive a good review until it was time to check out. Shortly after I checked out I had remembered that I left my chain in the hotel room and I asked to go back and look if I could find it in the room but the room was already cleaned so i obviously did not find it since someone had already cleaned it. I asked the members down stairs if they had received anything found in the room and they denied that they did. I came back a few hours later to check in again in case someone gave it to the front desk and they still denied having my chain. Very unprofessional and skimpy of them. Now my chain which had lots of sentimental value is gone.
Every one I've spoken to has been very helpful and cheerful ever so good handling any problem Really good but breakfast it’s not good no choice
We stayed for 2 nights and had a very pleasant experience! Breakfast was included and the spread was very generous! Loved Michaela...who took care of us each morning! The hotel was conveniently located near a vaporeto stop..A BIG PLUS! Check in with Andrea was a great start to an unforgettable stay! Thank you very much! We will be back!
Very well located, walking distance to the Piaza San Marcos. Staff was great. The property is old, but that’s just how Venice is (old and fantastic and romantic). You find the gondolas just outside the property as well as the vaporeto.
Great place to stay
This hotel is in the best possible location...right by a major water bus stop, just meters from St Mark's Square, with lots of restaurants and shopping close by. We paid the extra $$ for the lagoon view and it was well worth it. We had a spectacular view out of our windows, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included, although it was pretty basic. There were no toiletries in our room, although there was a blow dryer. The water pressure in the shower was above average. The hotel has an elevator, and the AC worked better than all other hotels we stayed at on this trip. We would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel to others.
Lovely hotel great location
Helpful friendly staff, great view from our room, great location for water taxi and close to the sights, lovely breakfast would recommend.
Service was outstanding! Good location! That said, our room was SO tiny & noisy. Breakfast was included but very limited and was the same everyday. Ok for a short stay!
We had a great stay here! The best part was the location of the hotel. Just a few minutes walk from Piazza San Marco and a vaporetto stop right outside. Our room had a window into the common lounge area which wasn't ideal, but this was rarely occupied so it didn't really end up being much of a problem.
It was nice of them to give us a room way earlier than check in time. Very good location.
