This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in! The staff was so kind and caring, the perks were awesome and most all the beds were super comfortable. While we didn’t stay in a room with a cute little circle window, our stay was still spectacular and I would definitely recommend staying here
Fantastic staff - friendly, efficient, helpful We had an issue with our room at 10pm on a Friday, went down to the reception and within 10 mins we were packing up and moving to an upgraded room. Would recommend splashing out for a suite as you get free drinks from the bar as well as free breakfast. Tiny bit of marking on the industrial-style concrete wall but the bathroom, bedding and floor was absolutely spotless Great drinks in the bar, breakfast also very good but badly layed out meaning it is quite chaotic with all of the guests running wild to get their food. Location great - very quiet all the time, despite the Carlsberg area undergoing some fairly substantial renovation works Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!
Wonderful stay
Our stay at Hotel Ottilia was wonderful! The staff were so accommodating and friendly, and the hotel itself was beautiful. I have recommended it to my friends and family for when they travel to Copenhagen. The room was beautifully decorated, and it was so comfortable! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, and keep up the fantastic customer service that you provide.
It’s a nice hotel
Lovely hotel, beautiful room. A good 30-40 min walk to the city centre but we knew that booking it. Metro station is very close if you’d prefer that We would definitely come back. Bar area was very welcoming
Great hotel in a cool area
Very cool hotel with helpful staff in a quiet and cool neighbourhood. It’s a little way from the centre of the city, but public transport is easy. We loved the wine hour and nightcap hour and the decor throughout the hotel. Our room was comfortable and quiet.
Lovely hotel with great breakfast near Carlsberg complex. Walking distance to C Train. Quiet room with a nice view of the courtyard.
Avoid staying at Hotel Ottillia. This hotel is overpriced for what it offers and fails to meet even basic standards of comfort and service. The bathroom sink was clogged from the moment I arrived, and despite complaining on the first day, nothing was done to fix it. Housekeeping is poorly managed – rooms are not cleaned on time, and even when they are, the cleaning is far from thorough. The double bed setup is baffling and uncomfortable, with two small pillows and two separate duvets, leaving you questioning the logic behind it. For the price, you can find much better options elsewhere. Steer clear.
First trip to Copenhagen
What a fabulous weekend experience....the Hotel is impressive & quirky in equal measures, every single member of staff warm & accommodating, the food excellent & their wonderfully social concept of Wine Hour & Nightcap hour that just encourages all the guests to sit & relax in their various bar & relaxed areas....
The building was excellent. We were in room 430 and had too much noise from the restaurant above, at all times! We thought the staff on reception were extremely helpful and friendly! The walk into the centre of town was quite long- especially if the weather was not good.
Faultless! Thank you
We had a fantastic weekend staying here. From the welcoming check in and free wine hour to de-stress after our journey, to the comfortable and wonderfully designed rooms. It was a haven! Powerful shower, wonderful window seat feature. The rooms were so quiet and excellent black out blinds, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. The option to cast TV application from our phones was also a great addition for two parents wanting a rest at times. Thank you so much, we will definitely be returning.
Beautiful hotel with great staff
Lovely stay and staff are so great, can’t do enough for you. Hotel is stunning and breakfast is superb. Brilliant area too, out of the way of tourist trains but with great bars and transport and more real life around you. 100% recommended! Our aircon didn’t work and no rail to hang clothes, but that’s the only gripe in a very sizeable room which is rare in Copenhagen. The free wine at 5pm is also a nice touch!
Absolutely wonderful experience. I don’t believe I’ve ever written a review for a hotel before, but this one I had to as I believe we all deserve great experiences when we are on vacation. The staff was amazing. They have wine on the house in the afternoons and spirits in the evening. There is also coffee to go on the house, and breakfast. An amazing restaurant is on the roof (enclosed) with incredible views all around of the city. The room was spacious, super high ceiling and a lovely charm to it. It was clean and smelled great. As soon as you step out, you’ll find the Carlsburg museum to the left. There are awesome cafés starting five minutes away. It’s about 30 minutes walking distance to the meatpacking district and an hours walk to Nyhavn. I would highly recommend this place. In fact, I just discovered that there are in other locations and I will be looking for them first wherever I travel to. Enjoy!
Great emplacement in the Carlsberg area
Really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the location was very nice (bakeries, restaurants, parks), the staff is friendly and helpful, and a pleasant walk to the metro. Would definitely stay here again!
Nice place.
Amazing location and great breakfast. Plus a free glass of wine each day. Great hotel!
While the building and area were super cool and historic, the hotel itself was only average. Limited in- room amenities (minibar?) and staff at the front desk could have been more compassionate and helpful to somebody that has never been to the city before. Area was expensive taxi rides from all the hopping areas. Overall we enjoyed our stay but won’t return based on location.
Please clean the rooms more thoroughly. The hotel was wonderful besides the room needing more thorough cleaning between guests.
Beautiful design hotel, but unfriendly, unhelpful staff. I did try to give feedback whilst I was there, but they were not interested. Very small rooms, very little storage (very much form over function). Nice neighbourhood, but lots of development going on and about 25mins to get into the centre. There are much nicer hotels that are still as beautifully designed, with a warm and friendly welcome in the closer centre districts. Wouldn’t return here, or recommend.
Best sleep of my life with those double pane windows and blackout curtains. Healthy and bountiful breakfast. Delightful staff: shout out to Christina at the front desk and folks working the breakfast service. I will stay here next time in CPH!
Another amazing experience! Best in town ✨
The bedroom wasn't the one they sold me. So tiny, no table and chair as described. No frigo bar, no water bottles. The air conditioner not working properly. They have own laundry and they washed the clothing, towels etc during the night, right under my bedroom and rest of them (I have pictures). My flight was cancelled for the first night and they didn't accept not charging me for the first night even offering proof of the flight cancellation. Just don't go here.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The included drinks twice a day is just amazing. Great breakfast buffet (which you pay for) well worth it though! Hands down best breakfast I have had at a hotel. Super fresh and almost all organic. My only complaint, which is a silly one keeping this hotel from gaining 5 stars from me. There is literally zero air conditioning in the entire building. No fans in the room. I was literally sweating every night even with the window wide open. Air flow is a thing. Just not available at this hotel.
Hotel facilities and our room were unique. An old brewery has been converted to a hotel. Surrounding area under redevelopment and will become a trendy area to stay. A bit out of the way for tourist activity but walking distance to the metro. Breakfasts were special. The breakfast area converts to an excellent Italian restaurant in the evening. The hotel offers a free wine tasting function from 5:00pm to 6;00pm and a free cocktail hour at 9:00pm.
It’s a brand new hotel build within the old Carlsberg beer factory and this certainly makes it unique. We were travelling with a baby and the staff had been extra kind to us.
Business Trip
Quirky hotel, excellent service
Great and cool location and amazing staff
Fantastic stay at this hotel
The location was great! A quiet neighborhood but only a 5 min walk to metro and buses. The hotel had a really cool vibe in the common areas. The room was a nice layout, but you can definitely watch your partner shower from the bed. The service was absolutely fantastic! Everyone working there was super nice. If I was to give one complaint, it’s the lack of air conditioning. They have it but because it’s eco it tends to run warm. It just so happened to be warm while we were there so it was about 25c in the room.
Fantastic hotel. Staff wonderful, architecture great and beds super comfy!
Very good design
Awesome hotel, great location in historic buildings at Carlsberg brewery. The happy hour and night cap free drinks are a great touch. Loved the place.
A truly unique hotel set in the site of the old Carlsberg brewery, an area steeped in history and amazing architectural features. The hotel retains lots of interesting hints to the buildings past and is beautifully furnished with iconic contemporary Danish design and original artworks.
Great hotel. Original. Good food. Chilled space in what will become a very trendy area in a few years time.
Amazing breakfast
Relaxing hotel
Great breakfast, great service and beautiful architecture. Note: the rooms are noisy as this building was not built to be a hotel originally. You will hear footsteps above and neighbours beside. During less busy periods it is fine
What a fantastic Hotel, industrial yet modernised. Shame the rooftop bar/restaurant was closed for refurb when we stayed though. Breakfast was great and varied but mostly continental so dont expect a lot of hot food. Happy hour and nightcap hour were a bouns and really made our trip to the Hotel, we usually had 2 drinks each during these hours and are completely on the house. Rooms were very functional and a really good bed, we are not good sleepers but you dont hear any noise from neighbouring guests and the blackout curtains worked brilliantly.
Lovely hotel, would highly reccomend. We chose the deluxe room for the round wondow seat and it was worth it. Rooms were incredibly clean and staff were friendly, also appreciated the complimentary drink each evening. Great Value
WOW! We stayed in 415 overnight on 12/29. The bathroom was covered in mold in the shower. There were stains on the sides of the bed and headboard. The mold was so bad I had an allergic reaction. I took photos, but this won’t let me post them. I’m shocked for the amount of money they charge. I’ll never be going back. I’ve stayed at motels that are cleaner than this.
Best hotel in Denmark
I travel a lot and this hotel is a standout and my new go to in Copenhagen. The hotel staff understand how to make everyone feel special and at home and the hyggely is just wonderful.
Misleading advertising against the law
Stayed in the hotel as a family trip between Christmas Eve/Christmas Day Hotel is nice but extremely hard to find and poor parking (poor signposting, roads around closed/no turn, no directions incl. to parking) AND hotel booked hotel specifically to use Spa on Christmas Day. On arrival at Spa was told that there's a cost of 850 DKK per person - OMG. Noone told us that. Hotel advert here on hotels.com says 'Spa' ie hotel is sold with Spa. No hint of having to pay anything. That's against the law. You cannot advertise and sell a service that is not delivered as sold, in this case a hotel with spa, leading guests to believe they're getting a Spa if they book at that hotel, only to learn on arrival that that comes at a substantial additional cost of 850DKK per person. For the 3 of us, that would have been 2550DKK - that's the same as a night in the junior suite we stayed in. As I say, misleading advertising is against the law .I will report the authorities. What an awful Christmas experience
The room was absolutely lovely and I loved the round window. The customer service was consistently great and everyone was so friendly. Breakfast was good and food had in the restaurant was delicious. During the night time I could hear the occasional sound of banging doors or people walking about. There was also some work going on outside the hotel which disturbed me early in the morning- absolutely no fault of the hotel but not ideal. It’s not quite in the centre of Copenhagen but the train station is very close and it’s a short train ride to access the busier parts and attractions etc. although, being out of the centre makes it a more peaceful area with less disturbances! Overall I would recommend the hotel and I would stay here again.
We had a good stay. We found the standard room sacrificed functionality for style. We were too warm the whole trip and couldn’t adjust thermostat in the room bc it’s central and set to 74. Construction noise was comically loud on the 3rd floor facing the street. Our sink didn’t drain well and there were sewer gas odors. The electric kettle was a nice touch but we had to plug it in on the floor. The tiny windows were so strange. The round window rooms were quieter and obviously much better view. Happy hour was a nice bonus. We really enjoyed the Aire spa. Dreamy! Front desk employees were all great. We enjoyed the area, restaurants and attractions were great. Not really a shopping area but plenty of conveniences.
Not a hotel for car people
The room was great. Had a circle window room. Hotel terrible if you had a car or needed parking. Staff was not at all helpful with how to deal with that. Vague - street parking around but you'll need need to figure out an app. Or plenty of underground. Parking underground near hotel was $85 for 24 hours.
Very nice appointments, cool vibe, lovely staff.
Great hotel
Comfortable room, two happy hours, best breakfast and friendly staff. Great area
Great stay! All staff, especially those at breakfast, were all very kind and accommodating. A quieter location as well if that’s what you’re looking for. Would definitely recommend!
Pleasure and comfort
We had a wonderful and comfortable stay. Would recommend to friends and family.
Nice stay
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Ottilia. The room was beautiful and the staff was great. Although the hotel isn’t in a central location, it’s just a 10 minute walk to the metro station, as well as the super cool Vesterbro neighborhood.
This hotel is wonderful. Friendly and helpful staff, perfectly located, great food, really everything was fantastic. We were sad to leave it. I hope to be back again soon.
Good and bad
Good and bad! We arrived at 2am after our flight was delayed to find that our prepaid room had been given to someone else and no other rooms were available. We were put in a cab to an inferior hotel for the night which could have gone with a good clean!. We used half our morning moving hotels back to where we were meant to be. We were upgraded and given free breakfast. It spoiled our trip for our wedding anniversary and meant we had less time to see Copenhagen . Having said that our room was ok, comfy bed and good shower but not many windows. Wouldn't risk staying again due to how we were treated. Also no refund received for first night as I am sure there was a massive difference in price
Lovely, modern hotel in a quieter area of Copenhagen. The hotel itself is quite nice with modern amenities and also offers a free wine. Happy hour from 5 to 6 PM. The room was OK, unfortunately, the vent was dripping water onto the bathroom floor through most of the night and the plumbing seem to need some attention. we upgraded to one of the round windows which was very worthwhile. It overlooks the beautiful plaza Nils and Jill were very helpful also. I will definitely stay again.
Great stay, would definitely return!
The suite was all-inclusive and was well worth the upgrade. The hotel was charming and boutiquey, Scandi vibes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They called us cabs and gave directions often. My only complaints, and they are quite minor, are that our keys had to be replaced daily because of issues with the key reader. It would work in the elevator but not the room, then vice versa, etc. The pillows were also not the greatest. But the bed was comfortable and everything else in the room was good.
Great design, mix of old Copenhagen and new
Really loved this place!
Lovely building with an industrial feel. Check in process was smooth and lots of trendy social areas. Wine hour and night cap hours were a nice touch although nothing for those that don’t drink/can’t drink except water. Room was pleasant albeit basic. The main issue was that the bathroom had a smell of drains. We switched rooms to one that was slightly better but the sink still had a strange smell. The second room also had old half used toiletries in. I’d emailed the hotel twice before the stay using the Expedia messaging system but never had replies so communication seems poor. Good for the price although based on other reviews I was expecting more.
Beautiful hotel and location
Great location, easy to find from the Metro. The hotel is simply stunning and the staff were helpful and attentive. The rooftop bar had a great vibe as did the 1st floor bar. Will definitely be going back for another visit
Reception staff excellent. Very welcoming. Wine hour and Nightcap hour a great perk. Design of hotel was fantastic.
The Hotel was clean and safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful
Everything was wonderful. From the staff, the wine cocktail hour and roof top bar/restaurant. The location suited our needs. The area is being built up, so more restaurants should be coming, as after a long day it was nice to be close to the hotel.
Room layout rather odd. Had to ask for replacement shower gel - that shouldn't happen.
We liked the historical aspect of this place.
Lovely experience. Clean and friendly and great location.
Great sleep
Very modern room and super clean, probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in.
The breakfast buffet is exceptional. The roof top restaurant area is the perfect place to rest up after a hard day of tourism.
A fantastic find, lovely comfortable bed, great decor and breakfast. Highly recommend, great design elelents in a cool location.
The design of the hotel is excellent, located in the old Carlsberg breweries, they have done a fantastic job with the design. The check-in/out was super easy and the included breakfast was amazing - there is a barista and you can choose whichever coffee for the breakfast. One small thing I would like to add is that the towels weren't changed, which I found to be odd as the cleaning staff had been there but didn't bother changing towels.
Great hotel good location good clean room. Good breakfast
One of the best ever stays in Copenhagen
Great hotel, unique design, beautiful setting.
Wonderful place to stay.
Great location. Beautifully designed. Hip vibe. I would definitely stay again.
POOR customer service and guest experience
We loved this hotel, in terms of design it’s beautiful. It’s actually in a quiet area but good location for exploring the city. Unfortunately the biggest sticking point for us was the customer service. We had multiple issues with the room such as being forced to choose between a twin bed or a design round window which we booked superior and confirmed ahead of arrival. For a birthday weekend it was disappointing. The way they handled it was really poor. We swapped rooms and were very polite and gentle with our complaints. The reception staff lacked empathy and basic customer resolution skills. We took bikes out for a day from the hotel, they were shocking: brake cable broken, gears didn’t work chain falling out etc.. Poorly maintained and not serviced. We didn’t get charged for this after complaining and rightly so another crap element to the birthday-again nothing from the hotel. We ended up renting from CPH bikes for a fraction of the cost, better bikes and properly serviced for safety. House keeping took forever we returned to our room in the afternoon and it still hadn’t been turned down. House keeping didn’t replace any toiletries (felt stingy). Didn’t feel like a luxury stay at all. Location of this hotel is brilliant, design elements are great and we loved the wine hour & fresh breakfast but will be looking for an alternative next time we visit.
True discovery ! Perfect blend between authentic architectural features, scandinavian design and danish hospitality. Highly recommended for a citytrip but also nice space to catch up on work in the lounge.
Fed stil. Minus…parkering er meget dyrt. Elevator er konstant optaget.
Modernes, sehr schickes Hotel.
Excellent experience. Nice hotel at a nice area that has been recently built yet has restaurants and cafes available. Only minus comes from the nice hotel room that had some kind of a sewer problem - sounds of plup plup and smell of sewer.
Helt perfekt,
All personal var supertrevliga.
.
Klasse hotel
Altid en fremragende oplevelse at overnatte her i Carlsberg byen. To ting skal fremhæves.
Dejlig ophold.
Suites comes with free bar
Excellent service and amazing concept that you actually have free bar through out your stay when staying in one of the Suites at the hotel. The Breakfast was really good and nice touch with many single serving to avoid people picking in the food and keep better sanitation compared to a breakfast buffet.
The breakfast was scarse and badly organised - tables all dirty, refurbishment slow
Fantastic stay , great location and staff were superior
Foi excelente nossa estadia no hotel. Tudo limpo e organizado. Totalmente aprovado!

Lovely hotel, very clean and great additions such as the happy hour. Staff were friendly and facilities were nicely decorated.
