Very nice hotel overall!

The hotel is amazing, the tallest I would say on Kanazawa, and super close to the Kanazawa train station so very convenient. The rooms are spacious and with great and high quality amenities, they seemed a bit old though and our room had a kind of musty smell but other than that we slept really well and enjoyed the provided amenities.

Superb location within close proximity to Kanazawa Station and best part is lots of great Japanese food options at various price point cand large fashion shopping ! Loved it and we stayed here for 3 nights to cover Shirakawago day trip.

Great stay

Fast check in & check out. Convenient located across the street from the JR Kanazawa Station. Room is clean & comfortable. The room size is very good. Staff are pleasant and very helpful. The only problem we have is the internet is not stable. Sometimes no internet at all. Otherwise, perfect stay! We will be back.

Nice hotel, with just a few mins walk from JR station. Hotel does not have self laundry, fortunately staff pointed out a nearby service which is walkable. Buffet breakfast was also great, 2 options, classic Japanese or more common buffet style, loved both!

Very convenient.

The price I paid for this hotel was so incredibly cheap that I think I would have liked it no matter what. However, it is very conveniently located. The staff were great. The breakfast was reasonable. The room, small but comfortable. I actually was sick when I was there, and still I liked it.

Great location next to train and bus services. The option for a traditional Japanese breakfast was great. Amazing views from the rooms, although having the sink next to the bed felt a little odd.

Dated hotel, old carpets throughout , we were assigned two smoking rooms though specifically asked for nonsmoking rooms. Rooms were quickly changed to less smelly ones. Breakfast, though included in the room fee, was not edible - ended up going to the Starbucks at the train station nearby for coffee. The pros: conveniently located 3 minutes walk from the train station. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Mid range sort of price, great bed size and size in the room, we got a proper bath etc. Short walk from the station and bus interchange, very convenient. Need to go quite far into the lobby to reach the front desk. In house dining is also very expensive.

Even thought not new, the room was clean and well maintened. The staff was wonderful, always very nice and available to support with making reservations and the shipping of luggage’s. Since we stopped as part of our honeymoon they also gave us a nice card and some chocolates which we really appreciated

Nikko hotels in US are top notch and that translates to Japan. Concierge services were especially knowledgeable and useful.

I highly recommend staying in this hotel.

We went to the hotel restaurant to have sushi and found it to be highly overpriced. We were very disappointed. The portions were underwhelming

This hotel was fabulous! It was conveniently located across the road from the train station. The room was spacious with a breath taking view and the buffet breakfast was exceptional! I also want to mention how helpful the staff was. The concierge helped arrange tickets for a bus ride to Shirakawa-go for my family. All we needed to do was to show up to the bus depot and pay. Everything was already reserved for us. So helpful and so friendly!!!! Would definitely come back here. Just not enough time this trip.

Excellent stay at this hotel - the best during our time in Japan so far. Had a free upgrade to a king size upper floor room, and I don’t think we’ve ever had a hotel room this nice! Great view of the station. Very pleased with the room and the staff. The cocktail bar with the jazz on the top floor in the evening was a highlight!

Amazing hotel that still keeps its old school practices of bell service and daily morning paper. While not necessary, it added to the overall grandness of the hotel. The hotel is slightly on the older side but is in meticulous condition and still has a grand feel. Service is top notch and staff are extremely well trained and helpful.

Hotel was in very convenient position near train station. Was also close and walking distance to sights in Kanazawa. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Some of the restaurants were on reduced hours but there were plenty of places to eat nearby

Very high quality hotel directly opposite Kanazawa Station. Beautiful lobby and room. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Porter service was convenient and helped us to bring our luggages to our room. Toyota car rental in located in the same building. Will definitely choose this hotel again during my next visit to Kanazawa.

Nice property overall. My only issue was with room service, communication was difficult. They should have more english speakers in key positions.

Very convenient to the JR station, comfortable rooms, great breakfast buffet and service overall. (Paid) access to the Central Sports gym in the same complex is a good extra amenity.

Modern western-style hotel close to the station. City loop buses operate from the front of the station. Plenty of choices at the breakfast buffet. Limited nearby dining choices.

Enjoyed the first time and came back again.

The hotel services from the welcome greeting, intro to the room and suggestions to visit area were all great. I was delighted to take the recommendations as well as visit the evening “lights on” at the garden. The location is conveniently near to the station as described and I appreciated the under path walkway to access from train station, especially on a rainy day. The room’s city view (23rd floor) to the sea shore on the horizon was a great way to open the day. I stayed twice and would stay again.

Classy Decoration

The service from the check-in staff to the housekeeping staff was excellent. The lobby was beautiful. Our issues with the hotel was that the picture of the room shown on the website was not similar to our room whatsoever. Our room was much smaller, the mattress was worn out and sunk in the middle. It was not comfortable to lay on. From our room, we had a great view of the city and the complimentary facial lotion was nice!

Stylish hotel with spacious rooms and great views.

Nice spacious clean room. Concierge staff were very helpful with recommending and booking restaurants. Breakfast buffet was good quality with multiple options. On a Sunday we went to the Japanese restaurant for breakfast instead which was excellent, highly recommend that. Bar on 30th floor very stylish, nice views. Next to station and bus station, so handy if you arrive by train, with eateries nearby.

This had the most comfortable room of our 10 day trip. Also the best shower!

Nice 4-star hotel very near Kanazawa station. Within convenient walking distance to Omicho market and Kenroku-en gardens. I stayed for 2 nights and would stay there again if I travel to Kanazawa.

This hotel is new, beautiful and so organized with super attention to details. The cloak room cable locks didn’t work. The bartender should be more accommodating to drink making. I couldn’t get an extra drop of bitters. I got a firm ‘no’.

Hotel is connected to the train station via underground pass and about 5 minutes walk to station. The concierge team including Saki and another lady went out of their way to help us with dinner reservations and day trips. Even before we arrived, they were in constant contact and it felt like meeting someone we already knew when we did check in. Saki booked us dinners where local people go, and all 3 dinners were fabulous. The bars on 29 and 30th floor are beautiful places to have a drink, listen to classis & jazz and watch the mountains in the distance. We totally enjoyed our stay!

The location close to the central train station was very convenient. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

A convenient location right across from Kanazawa station. Staff spoke English and was helpful. Bellhop took all our luggage to our room when we checked in. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Complimentary water bottles every day in your room.

Truly enjoyed my stay here. 5 mins walk to Kanazawa Station. You can buy day pass at the hotel as well. Very friendly staff and room is spacious with a nice view. My room could see the entire station. Bus stops nearby as well

Unfortunately the room’s strong smell of cigarette affected my comfort and the cleaning staff couldn’t do much other than starting the air humidifier. Other than that the room was nice.

This is absolutely one of the best hotels and hotel experiences we have ever had. From check in to the concierge to the appointments and amenities of the room. We stayed an extra night just because it was so nice. I can’t stress it enough.. you need to stay here!

The building interior is well decorated. Has a high class feel. The staffs are friendly and helpful. And you wouldn't want to miss their breakfast. Is super cool, not only the food are good with wide variety...the atmosphere is nice and cosy...I give that a 5 stars. ^^ Highly recommended for stay if you are travelling to Kanazawa.

The staff was outstanding, very helpful, and welcoming. The hotel was lovely and the room very comfortable and beautifully appointed. The concierge really helped with recommendations and arranging a driver for our trip to Shirakawago. The hotel was convenient to everything we wanted to see and was as very close to the train station (which is accessible from the basement of the hotel). We loved everything about the Nikko Kanazawa!

We've been traveling around Japan for the past month and have stayed in six different hotels. The Hotel Nikko is the best hotel we've stayed in by far. Everything about our room was upscale, with so amenities none of the others offered and much larger than most hotels in Japan. The hotel staff, from the cleaning staff to the front desk, were all excellent and pleasant. The Japanese breakfast was outstanding... the best I've ever had. Finally, the location of the hotel is right across from the train station, which was fantastic. I'm looking forward to staying here again.

Such a wonderful and memorable stay in Hotel Nikko Kanazawa. Everything is outstanding! The location is superb, the sunset view over Sea of Japan we had was precious; however, the best of all are the exceptionally great service from reception staff to its breakfast service, just wonderful.

The front desk was very nice for us to check in before 3pm. What I loved the most was the breakfast buffet. We had only 1 hour to enjoy for our early checkout. I wish we had more time to relax.

Fantastic hotel. Spacious room, great breakfast buffet. Underground connection to JR Kanazawa Station makes for a very convenient stay.

3 min walk from Kanazawa station. Appears to be the tallest bldg in the area. Beautiful lobby, wonderful breakfast buffet and excellent choice of restaurants within walking distance. The only downside was the dated guest room. Really could use an upgade including furniture and small TV.

The Nikko in Kanazawa is a wonderful hotel. It is located in the heart of the city, across the street from the train station and very near Kenrakuen Koen. The hotel staff is great and the hotel’s cleanliness is unsurpassed. A great stay on the SOJ coast.

Stayed two nights with my wife there for sightseeing purpose. Great hotel in room quality, staff quality, breakfast quality, and accessibility to public commutation systems. Also there are many nice restaurants and bars in walking distance. Surprisingly even with quality, the room charge was around USD100 per night. So cheap!

Reception staff were delightful.

Good but not great

Decent hotel but room was a bit dated. Newer 3 star hotels are more comfortable. For $300++ a night, I still find it weak to charge $20++ to use the pool (per day) and needing to buy pay-per-view cards to watch tv in English.

Upscale hotel with great rooms

Like many of the same brand hotels, this one offers an upscale experience with clean, modern rooms and great service. We would stay in this hotel chain's locations more often, except that many of them do not offer late check in after midnight (despite being large hotels with a 24 hour reception desk at each, which is a bit strange).
