Quiet, relaxing and perfect proximity to the beach

We were worried hearing that Mallorca could be quite rowdy, but were pleasantly surprised to stay in this very quiet, relaxing hotel. The hotel was directly across from the beach, which made it super convenient. Food was great and the hotel was very clean. We also rented a car from Sixt two blocks away for a day trip. I’m already planning to stay here the next time we go back to Mallorca.

This hotel is in the perfect location for the beach and doing things nearby. Parking at the hotel is 10€ a day, but who cares, the car is protected by a secured area. Staff is friendly, breakfast was plentiful. I recommend this place to anyone for a weekend on the island.

We had a really nice stay at Hotel Negresco. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Playa de Palma with shops and restaurants around. They have a spa, which we used to have a relaxing massage. It was a bit pricy but worth at the end. They also have a thermal circuit for €8 per person. The airport is just 15min by bus/car from the hotel which is great! The hotel has a good selection of food for breakfast and dinner, if you can I would highly recommend to get the half board. They don't offer drinking water for free, so buy a bottle at a shop and refill it in the free drinking water fountains in the promenade, there is one on Carrer de Bartomeu Xamena, just 5min walk from the hotel. The room was big enough and clean. Our AC stop working on the second night but it was quickly fixed in the next day. The WiFi needs improvement, it's the only thing I have to complain about. Most of the time the connection was very poor. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pool towels require a deposit of €10 in cash and can be changed. Free luggage room after check out. Lockers are €1.

All round fabulousness! Great hotel in a great location. Customer service was excellent by everyone throughout our weeks holiday. Breakfast was a little repetitive but had freshly squeezed orange juice! Would have preferred a cafeteria of coffee instead of out of the machine. But all in all it was good enough and plentiful. Bar food around the pool area was excellent 👌 rooms were a little basic but functional and clean… thank you for a great week away!

Pros very quiet . Con is our dining experience we don’t drink and if you don’t there was no tap water available to take your medications unless you pay for it . Bad customer service no courtesy at all . Not much vegetarian choices and whatever they had was very limited

Great location, nice staff! Easy access to the beach and close to buses into the center and airport! Convenient to get around from there but not near the super touristy zones. Would stay again!

The hotel was good and the staff were excellent, but I would have expected tea/coffee making facilities in the room for a 4 star hotel. We were half board, breakfast was good but dinner choice was very limited and fairly bland (salad and sweet selection was good) in terms of main course. Excellent location.

It was next to the beach, and the view was magnificent. It was not far away various cafes and restaurants. It was only 10 minutes to Palma by car.

We stayed at this hotel for the 1st time and we booked the biggest room they had, the terrace which was a bit dated now but had a brilliant party terrace. The music was right below us but did finish at 11pm so wasn’t late but if you like an early night don’t book this room. The staff are amazing and so helpful, the beach towels are loaned on a deposit which I understand as they could get left at the beach I guess. We were allowed a late check out for a small fee on the last day which was really lovely and meant we got to stay on the beach. I have stayed at other hotels near by and the food we have experienced before was more vast in choice but we quickly realised that actually what food was available on the half board was really tasty and actually really healthy compared. We also had a lovely shop in all the fun shops along the beach and with Palma being so close we enjoyed a short taxi ride into this beautiful city. Also the airport is so close which makes the last day mean you don’t have to rush back as it’s 10 mins to the airport in a taxi and doesn’t cost much. We had a lovely stay all round and would Book again. Thank you to all the helpful staff and lovely stay. My only thing I would say is be mindful of the music here which is loud and can be heard from the rooms at night so if that is a problem don’t book a room close to the bar area.

Clean hotel, very near Palma and yummy breakfast!

We really liked this hotel! Incredibly friendly staff all throughout the hotel, particularly in the breakfast area. Particular shout-out to the main man running the restaurant, welcoming and attentive. The breakfast buffet has everything you can imagine and variety daily. Fresh orange juice, loads of fresh fruit, meats cheeses, breads straight from the oven! The hotel is spotless. I loved that they did not change our towels or sheets unless we asked or it was needed, as i’m very eco conscious and it irritates me to no end when towels that are hung up get refreshed! Only one wee complaint in that the bed a little stiff for our taste, but otherwise very comfortable room with a great view.

Enjoyed our time at Negreco, Excellent restaurant manager Xisco, Marga the waitress and Sherrif at the egg counter just did everything for a lovely stay. Rooms automated light system isn’t great though if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Great property with great view of the water, prime location for the beach and lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel was able to provide easy instructions on how to take the bus into Palma for site-seeing (only 2€). Hotel also had a nice pool that can be utilized if you didnt want to go to the beach.

Modernised hotel. Staff friendly. Room quiet and clean. 10 minutes from Parma airport and there’s a bus stop close by that takes you to Palma city or the airport. Negatives - really naff piped music around pool and sitting area and had to change rooms due to awful drain smell in it and it took at least 9 hours to sort and in that time the smell was too pungent to use the room

We have just stayed - love locality to beach . Staff very friendly great choice of food . Room was comfortable and clean . Confusing around drinks in the evening as some had to be paid separately at the bar . No drinks available in the room Great overall

We stayed at the tropical last year and it was really expensive this year. This was cheaper £640 for 5 nights no breakfast. Still on the beach. We dont use the pool much as prefer beach. Pool small but there is also a small rooftop bar and pool.rooms almost identical. Can see sea but also road behind unless you pay more for front room. Very good for a hotel of this type

We loved staying here, 10 days in the middle of Palma's fantastic Playa ! You walk out of the lobby toward the bar & pool deck then down the stairs across the Avenue ( a mostly pedestrian walkway and you're on the Beach ! ) The security of leaving your goodies at the pool while being able to play in the and is a true gift ! Ideally located you can easily walk toward the Marina end ( for some excellent dining ) or toward the Pier end with a bit more exciting night life. The staff special shout out to a wonderful young woman PAUPA who was happy to share her native's advice with two travelers from the states. ( and the rest of the staff was wonderful as well!) every room has an ocean view & balcony, the food was more than decent to very good esp for the money, same with drinks and all solid values IMO. Don't forget the 8th floor pool and sun deck for it's commanding views of the whole Playa from NE/SW. This to me is a true Negresco experience, sure it's basically a beach front hotel, but it's small enough that the staff gets to know you & they genuinely seem to care. Oh and it's adults only so if you prefer a quieter pool experience ... this hotel has it ! Loved it... We would go back in a heartbeat... and maybe even try to get one of the full on Mediterranean facing suites ! Lastly, Plama and Mallorca is such a great vacation spot, no matter your taste: Beachy vaca, wonderful Euro city experiences, trail hiking, cycling, great restaurants, want to party, It's got it all !

The hotel is lovely and clean and well maintained. It was a very comfortable place to spend our vacation. The staff was extremely competent, friendly and helpful. The dining room allows you to eat inside or outside on a patio and the selection is very good. I totally enjoyed my daily breakfast there and the few dinners when we decided not to go to Palma or along the strip. The main pool is small but clean and adequate and surrounded by a pleasant deck with a view of the beach. The second pool on the 8th floor rooftop is very small but enjoyable too and provided a stunning view of the entire bay, Palma and mountains and the sunset. The hotel is easily accessible by transit from the airport and we used transit to go to Palma almost daily. The public bus is inexpensive, clean, frequent and available right in front of the hotel. The only weak point of the location is that it doesn’t offer Spanish charm right in the area. Walking the main road only gets you to hotels or forgettable food options. However, a small supermarket is nearby. The other road is the beach strip but it’s mostly touristy retail and medium to poor quality restaurants. But, I wouldn’t let that deter me from returning here. Palma is accessible and the hotel and beach here are very nice.

The staff was amazing, the rooms clean and perfect , felt really welcomed in the hotel. One thing they could still improve is the breakfast, it is below average. they compensate with the restaurant where I had amazing food at lunch, paid of course.

Great friendly staff, clean rooms, will stay again.

The hotel itself was nice, well-kept for the most part. We paid for a premium room with a sea view terrace which we did get. It was on the first floor. The room was nice and a decent size. However there was non-stop grinding and banging coming through the walls / ceiling / floor day and night which was disappointing

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is steps from the beach and plenty of dining options. The hotel is also very close to the 25 bus, which rides straight into the center of Palma, inexpensive. Overall, the quality of this hotel and the location are perfect for a relaxed beach vacation and/or access to transportation to explore other parts of Mallorca.

Economical choice for beach-front hotel

The basic room also has a balcony with partial sea view which is quite nice, even though it's directly facing the restaurant of the neighboring hotel as well. The "bathroom" has a "unique" design where water can get everywhere on the wooden floor very easily, for example from walking out of the shower or simply washing hands. The shower was also not leak-proof and water will flow out to the room. We also tried the dinner buffet and it was okay. One waiter keeps taking away our plates (and for once even utensils) even when there's still food on it and the plate was in front of me–not pushed away to the corner of table. The Wifi connection was extremely poor. Overall an economical choice for a beach-front hotel.

Amazing experience! Lovely and friendly staff, even gave my a bottle of fizz for my birthday which was a wonderful touch.

This hotel was very fun to stay at … I’ve been 15 days on the island and I stayed in several hotels from Upscale to more affordable ones and I really loved Negresco. The staff is very sweet and the location and amenities of the hotel are very fun for young people . Music , drinks , rooftop pool, loved it all.

Great Hotel

Hotel was right on the Beach and right at the Bus stop to go downtown. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Highly recommend

A modern and comfortable mid-range hotel/resort. The outdoor pool/bar/restaurant area is nice (though relatively compact). The rooftop pool/bar is particularly nice and more unique, and has great views of the beach and surrounding area. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. The hotel is right across the road from the beach and convenient to the airport (though for the most beautiful beaches in Palma/Mallorca, you'll want to travel further afield).

Beautiful views, great service and assistance from staff, and an overall peaceful experience during my stay. Thank you to all the staff.

Get the room with Panoramic Sea View

Very good hotel, clean easy access and very comfy. The service is absolutely 5 stars everybody from Receptionist to bar attendant and breakfast host they were all very very friendly. We took the room with sea panoramic view and it's is top-notch.

fabulous hotel

Really lovely hotel, staff and policies Re Covid. Major downfall was the smell of sewerage from what we think to be the un-used hot tubs on our level. Sadly this was not resolved.

Really clean and comfortable hotel

The hotel is nice, standard 4 stars. The pool is tiny, staff and professional but some of them lack the sense of hospitality.

Lastminute getaway

A lovely location right on the beach. We were first ones to arrive after they reopened at the beginning of July. Rooma have a lovely view. Jacuzzi suite is a nice option but if you dont want to pay the extra dont worry as there is an amazing rooftop plunge pool with amazing views. Air conditioning works well. Breakfast was ok. A little limited for my choice. The manager Joan and his team are fantastic

Exceptional Beach front hotel.

A modern, well designed hotel with all amenities. Breakfast included continental foods plus full English breakfast options to cater for international clientele. On the beach front. Plenty of eateries close by. Access to spa facilities. Friendly multilingual staff. Exceptional service.

Good stay at Hotel Negresco

Good stay in the hotel. Good breakfast and a great location. Only one negative for us is that maybe they could put felt on the bottom of chairs or stools. We did get woken up when the people above us came in late and the movement of the furniture upstairs was loud. I hesitated to even mention it because most probably won't run into that as a problem but it could be one thing that could be done as the noise from the furniture above was noticeable.

I didn't like that the half board was a buffet which wasn't apparent when I booked it. But the hotel was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again, but probably not opt for the buffet for dinner. Breakfast yes, but dinner no.

Hotel was bright, modern and spotlessly clean. Daily housekeeping and clean towels, toiletries which was great. Fridge wasn’t working on the room and it would have been good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Majority of guests were German who insisted on claiming their sun beds early in the morning even if they weren’t using the beds for the majority of the day!

The property its self is ok,clean but stuff from receptionist to stuff in the restaurant where terrible,for example on our check in day after long trip from USA i ask the receptionist for a cup of water that they have on the machine in reception area and they told me to go and buy ???,the restaurant waitresses newer smile and newer told us Good morning a specially the restaurant manager Ronald(i think that is his name) always looking mad and unprofessional,we had no water for diner for free,we needed to pay for this same as for towels if you like to use for the beach,if we ask for the ice they gave us one cup but if you ask for more they send us to supermarket to buy,i had two rooms and spend a lot of money but at one point we had a situation that hotel manager JUAN ask me to live their hotel and almost kick us out because we complained a lot,they like German people only and that is only country they respect witch another guests also complain about,I 'M VERY disappointing and will newer recommend this hotel to anyone

We were there as a family group of varied ages and we all found the staff very friendly and very attentive to our needs ( especially Sarah ). The hotel was very clean and had a modern and slick take on it. Breakfast area was bright and had fresh decor, and you couldn't fault the food on offer. We got the sea view rooms which was worth the extra as it was a fantastic view to waken up to! Location is quiet but within a short walk there are lovely restaurants along the seafront to visit. We wouldn't hesitate to return or recomend this hotel to anyone.

The perfect holiday destination

Hotel Negresco was brilliant. We went for 5 days and enjoyed every minute we spent there. The hotel is located in the perfect place, right on the beach and there is a really good pool aswell as another option. The rooms are modern and clean, everything is very comfortable. The best part of the hotel is the staff, they are very welcoming and helpful. All the bar staff were very well trained and their service was perfect. Both Manu and Jennifer consistently provided a really good service at the poolside bar and were always so nice with us. The breakfast had everything, there were plenty of options and the food was really great. The waiter called Xisco in the restaurant made our whole experience, every morning he welcomed us and made us feel at home. He was very helpful, a lovely guy and deserves recognition for his great work. There are plenty of restaurants and things to do in the surrounding area, its only 10 minutes by taxi to the airport for €20 or €5 per person if you want to take the bus but the journey could take up to 30 minutes. We are definitely looking to go back next year and organising to try and go back at the end of the summer as its worth every penny. It is definitely the perfect holiday destination.

The entire stay was fantastic! The staff were all amazing, room was great and massive, huge balcony looking over the beach... just perfect... nothing to change!

We absolutely loved our 4 nights in Mallorca at Hotel Negresco. This hotel is in an amazing location for restaurants, the beach and any amenity you could need. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and all around amazing! We absolutely loved our stay and would go back in a heartbeat!

Overall we loved this hotel!

Overall we loved this hotel, the look of the rooms, the technology and the cleanliness. The location was perfect, lots of restaurants and bars to choose from and our room with a full sea view was exactly as described. The staff in general were super friendly and happy to help, with the exception of Nicole on reception who could do with some more people skills, she was a little rude and unhelpful and this marred our experience for checking in and checking out. The rooms were airy and comfortable, the beds a little hard and sounded like you were on plastic mattresses but that can be overlooked by everything else. Breakfast was fantastic and varied. Would definitely come back again!

We arrived 2 hours after a long trip, and according to the front desk we have to wait because the hotel was full, but it seems the hotel was half empty.

Nice quiet hotel overlooking the beach, pool was a good size with plenty of sun loungers. Good sized terrace to sit with drinks. The food in the restaurant was a really good price at 18€ each for a buffet dinner. All the staff were friendly and courteous. The rooms are clean and although not huge, were adequate as we lived outside for the week we were there. Our second visit and hopefully we shall be back,

Gorgeous Location and Really Modern Hotel

This was our second stay in a Panoramic room and we’d book it again. The lady on the bar during the day is absolutely fantastic!!!
