Excellent hotel and location

Excellent hotel. Beautiful rooftop bar and perfect location for travelling around Bangkok. Lovely breakfast each morning. Excellent value for money stay!

Well worth visiting, great staff and quality

Fantastic hotel, run by excellent staff. It may seem a little dated but very much in a charming way. The breakfast was really good and varied for a hotel buffet. The only downside is that it is somewhat more expensive than many others, and if you're using it primarily as a base, that could be significant.

Au revoir Hôtel Muse

Nous regrettons le changement de gestionnaire de cet hôtel qui était notre refuge notre petit paradis à Bangkok avec une âme du temps de la gestion du groupe accord … l’âme a disparu avec l’arrivée du nouveau gestionnaire , accueil correct , plus de menu dans la chambre lorsque l’on désire après un long voyage dîner dans la chambre donc appel pour nous faire monter le logo repas à photographier avec notre tel même le document était dans un triste état , le repas après cela ok , pb de TV un technicien est venu nous l’allumer mais pas évident , le couchage extra mais c’est les restes du groupe accord , le prix de 20 a 30 % plus cher , heureusement nous avons retrouvé un concierge extra qui était déjà là avant … un homme sincère , gentil et compétent . Check out ok … mais on laisse les bagages confiés au concierge qui réserve le taxi pour l’aéroport … à notre départ en dehors de notre gentil concierge et un autre très agréable aussi … nous devions être transparent pas d’au revoir alors que nous étions des clients réguliers de cet hôtel qui était notre refuge … je pense que nous allons faire une croix définitive sur cet établissement vieillissant qui a perdu son âme et que nous allons devoir retrouver ailleurs à Bangkok la concurrence étant présente .

This is a place very well worth staying at. I stumbled into this place as the place I canceled my reservation up the street from Hotel Muse was in a nasty condition. The inside of Hotel Muse is very elegant, very classy, the rooms are as well! The hotel even has it's own rooftop bar.

Pretty good as a base in bangkok

Hotel itself is very quaint. Cool decor, attentive staff. Much smaller than it seems in the pictures, the pool is pretty pathetic although looks good in photos. Breakfast was good - lots of variety. Not much going on in that area but walkable to a couple of the big malls. Room was nice and large.

9months in advance booked and still no room avail.

We were notified 10 days prior arrival that we will be relocated to another hotel of the Marriott group as hotel was overbooked - we booked 9months in advance. The offered hotel was a downgrade, Marriott did not bother to offer a accomodation which would be comparable. Very disappointed as i had stayed already several times at the Muse. Since Marriott took over not recommendable to book. Marriott will only take care to increase their profits and not try to honor bookings of longterm customers.

Aussie family of 6

We had an amazing 5 nights here for our first trip to Bangkok- family of 6. We had 3 double rooms- corner suites. The rooms are dark, beds comfortable and the staff are so attentive and welcoming.

Loved this hotel. It’s a little dark but they’re going with the Speak Easy 20’s theme. We had a corner room, it was big, comfortable and just what we needed after a long flight to Bangkok. The shower is wonderful , the deep bathtub was amazing after a long day, and the hair, body products were delicious lemongrass fragrance. The only negatives were the tiny pool for such a large hotel, we were lucky we always got a sun lounger, but many did not and left the pool area frustrated. The rooftop Speak Easy/ restaurant is tiny as well, it doesn’t look anything like the photos on their website. it’s filled with cigarette smokers…the female staff are rude up on the Speak Easy rooftop, but, the male server and bartender, were delightful! The food was pretty good, smaller plates for the price, but then again, it’s a fancy hotel in Bangkok and that is expensive these days! Overall we had a nice stay. Mr. A is a doll and most of the staff are very friendly. The nighttime desk staff, not so much … but the positives outweighed the negatives. I’d stay here again.

Housekeeping at an all time low . Room not cleaned properly for days . Bathroom was never cleaned . Cups and glasses not replaced after use and just the bed straightened. After complaint, the management took photos of the state after housekeeping had finished I was invited to a small fruit platter as compensation Worst of all I left my valuable watch by the safe when I checked out , phoned up when I got home and they didn’t find it . Reported it to Marriot but after a few patronising emails I have given up. Hotel looked very shabby and well past its prime Avoid if possible.. so many good and honest hotels in the same area

It was a great experience, ultra luxury. Our room was not ready at the check in time but the staff was very helpful and upgraded us to a better room 2 hours later, walie they give us another room to relax between.

The Muse offers a unique historic and comfortable experience. Our room was spacious , and the bathroom was large and modern, but consistent with the theme of the hotel. Good central location for tourist activities. The sky train station in nearby. The “sky bar” on the 24th floor is amazing. It’s worth visiting even if you do not stay at the hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel within walking distance of Ploenchit. Recently taken over by Marriott, but not to worry, it doesn’t show. Elegant retro (1920s) theme throughout. Spacious room with luxurious bathroom and very comfortable bed (I went out and bought a pillow of the same model). The rooftop balcony bar is ideal for nightcaps.

Really enjoyed

When in Bangkok I always visit Muse. Great rooms, great hospitality and wonderful decoration. Visit The Speakeasy bar for a cocktail. Their Bacon Old Fashioned was the best in the world. Unfortunately they don’t have it anymore.

Great location, fabulous staff! Probably the most engaged and caring concierges I’ve ever experienced. They made everything easier, ensured we were paying fair prices for transportation, and setting up outings for us. Awesome rooftop speakeasy, great upper level pool, delicious breakfast buffet. Highly recommend.

They can do better, Price of foods and drinks a lttile too high at the rooftop bar.. well overall is great !!

Very enjoyable stay

The staff - each person consistently greats you with a big hello and a warm Thai smile. Each staff member loves their job and it’s reflected each time how they treat their guest in the most genuine way. Reception is awesome, including the Bellman. This is the face of the Muse Hotel. The other employees are awesome, as well - from housecleaning to the bar & restaurant servers.

The hotel overbooked and dont have hot water. They didnt communicate with us and force us to except their “solution” stay with their room without hot water

Hotel was nice and well decorated. However, the staffs were lack of manners and weren’t very polite; especially the night front desk staffs.

The rooms were showing it's age. Show base was blocked. Had to move to another room.

This was a fabulous hotel. Staff were super accommodating and friendly. The room was large and gorgeous - we loved the moody decor. The most comfortable hotel during my whole stay in Asia. The multiple restaurants were a convenient feature too.

It’s a long walk to Central World is 15 mins. Not ideal under the July weather. The amenities around the hotel is not bad. The hair dryer wire is so short to use. Strange choice for guest to use. The lighting is indeed too dim. The shower cap is so thick not comfortable. The refund of the deposit is said up take 14 days. This is so long.

I would recommend the Muse friendly staff good breakfast options and the bed is so comfortable

Dirty and tired!

Nothing like a 5star! I checked in and left within a couple of hours as it was so dirty. I have asthma and a dust allergy, and as soon as I was in the room I could feel it wasn’t clean. Dust up the walls, bed frame, behind the bed etc. all glass surfaces were dirty, big sticky stain in the bath, even the coffee/tea tray inside a cupboard was dirty!the couch in the room was badly soiled and there was so much wear and tear in general, the room was very tired. The hallways and lifts were the same, carpets were filthy! . My booking was refundable minus the first night fee. The hotel flat out refused to do a 100% refund for me, despite it being no fault of my own. The reason being “we cannot resell your room”! I was shown a second room and it was the same standard, so clearly not a one off. I didn’t feel comfortable staying here and stressed that if I did, I’d likely wake up unwell. The didn’t care and insisted on charging me. I gave up and went elsewhere, it was close to 11pm and I was getting nowhere. The rooftop was also closed to guests for a private event as was the basement bar/restaurant. On a Friday night! And one of the reasons I chose it. This was not mentioned anywhere before booking. Room service also finished at 10/10.30. For Thailand it’s expensive for the quality of room / hotel. Plenty more options close by which are of a higher standard.

Great hotel however the experience was marred by my wife watching a cockroach scurry out of the expresso machine look around and return home into the unit. Food cleanliness is very important and in my nation this would have had the restaurant condemned until pest removal had been successful. As a transplant recipient food safety is a major concern and this is not acceptable in a 5 star.

Overall good place but needs a little refurb

What an outstanding hotel ! The staff will definitely go out of their way to make sure that you have a great stay ! I had a short talk with the general manager, very professional, and very friendly. The staff are always cleaning or straightening, which is hard to find these days with the cell phone epidemic , I would definitely stay here again I would definitely recommend it to families or business or solo travelers .

Everything about the hotel is good, close by to all the malls and shops. Would like to be informed if they could not provide towels in time for my last night of stay. But overall very good. Friendly staff

Good hotel with great staff. The hotel is reminiscent of old world hotels in London/NYC feels with the dark woods in the lobby and rooms. The staff are great and the speakeasy very popular.

Property was nice the only thing I didn’t like was my room smelled musty sweat. Other than that I liked the place!

Excellent stay, small changes required. This is a lovely hotel with excellent service. The hotel is showing its age a little. Floors are scratched and furniture is chipped. The rooms have beautiful bathtubs, but the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are bolted into the shower so unless you brought your own you can’t use them in the bath. The staff are extremely attuned to guests needs and go out of their way to be helpful.

Beautiful hotel. The only oddity I would mention is the glass wall from the bathroom into the room. The beds are comfy, the pool has amazing photo potential and the staff is very nice.

Love my stay there

Quaint hotel with amazing breakfast (tasty) and rooftop bar. However like many hotels had experience with a few staff totally skewed my view of the place. Most staff were courteous and professional, but a few were not just professional but rude. I've told the manager on duty of their mistake that caused the misunderstanding and rudeness of one if his staff but he also seemed a bit clueless. If it wasn't for this experience I would have given a 5 star despite the place being a bit dated.

Not for families

Not family friendly. Says it sleeps 4 but they mean in 1 bed and want an extra 1500 a night for an extra bed. After 2 sleepless nights we decided to just pay it and then they gave it free - annoying and confusing! Breakfast is expensive. Room cleaned late on in day even when we asked for earlier. Also minibar not free - pricelist is hidden in another cupboard. Its a cool hotel but missed the mark with us.

My 2 small children felt very safe in the area and the staffs were friendly and helpful.

The room was beautiful and the staff were helpful and extremely friendly! They even call taxis for you and discuss pricing with them to make sure you don't get ripped off by the drivers who prey on tourists

The hotel is in an excellent location. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The pool is lovely and the view from it is stunning. good breakfast Everything was excellent.

The staff welcomed us from the very beginning, providing us with an upgraded room at no charge. They also help us with tours, airport, transportation, places to eat, and they cleaned our room immaculately.

Very sad to say that good at Italian Restaurant need to improve.. and breakfast mostly for Asian test .. I like it but a Bit variety will be good . Staff are amazing and help full all the time . Room very nice and comfortable. Definitely I will visit again, but will mind the Italian restaurant.

A really nice hotel, very beautiful decor, great facilities, staff were perfect. My only 3 issues, two minor, one major: Minor: The restaurant options are just needlessly expensive, they’re good but not overwhelming and far from justifying the cost. Especially when there are fantastic restaurants within a stones throw distance. The pool area is very small and a bit tired. I’d hoped it would be bigger and a more enjoyable setting. Major issue: no bidet sprayer in the toilets! This really marred my stay to be honest. I spent the few days trying to avoid using the toilet but when you gotta go you gotta go and as a result of going and using only tissue paper, my backside was in agony for the entire stay and remaining week. Plus, I had to have a shower after every use. That’s something they really need to fix.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Staff were excellent, it was very clean and in a good area. A minor negative was the bed/pillows - quite lumpy. However, I would definitely stay again. Medici restaurant was superb.

A gorgeous boutique hotel in Bangkok’s best area. Rooms/suites are fabulous, comfortable and super clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant options are good as was the service. The area around the hotel is safe and 10/10 for walkability and access to BTS, shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend.

I requested for late room makeup in late afternokn but when I hot back to the room late at night, the room was not cleaned. Towels were not changed. The button for room makeup was still on.

Stay in style

Have been back several times, we do look at other options but love the stylish rooms and welcoming ambience. Personally we love the location on Lang Suan, there’s everything you need and some great new places to eat and drink since our last visit.
