Comfortable accommodation for a short trip to Trieste.

Great place !

Clean and comfortable.

Front desk folks were helpful and accommodating. The bathroom was clean. The air in our room was not great but good enough. My son said his room the air was OK. He had a single and the shower is small, but workable. Great location …close to plaza and train station.

Nice hotel with great breakfast. Centrally located.

The concierge was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. We would have liked a few more amenities, like Kleenex, shampoo etc.

Not ever again

This has quite frankly been the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. I wish I could say anything positive. Perhaps that the towels absorbed quite well. From a lack of power points to the general dilapidation of the room I was allocated, it has been my worst experience ever. Compared to other 3* hotels I am at a loss at this rating. Compare this to Motel One in Vienna and you will instantly see what I mean. Also compare the room rates. We are talking Vienna, not Trieste. I have always trusted Hotels.com blindly, perhaps I was wrong.

Good location and great staff.

Well run, clean hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. Large room, high ceiling, plenty of towels, good house cleaning. Good, standard continental breakfast included. Close to all the sights and 3 minute walk to train station. I was very happy with my five night stay. Two very small things that could be easily addressed by management. The shower head was a bit weak and sprinkly. Adequate for washing but easily updated. Second, there was no iron and ironing board available to borrow from reception, which I found extraordinary for a large hotel. I was told there was a dry cleaner nearby but I only wanted to iron a shirt before an evening concert! They should really invest in an iron and board! But despite that oddity, I'd definitely stay there again, the staff were wonderful.

Front desk staff was very helpful with everything from directions to restaurant suggestions to sites. The twin beds were quite small but typical in europe. Would definitely stay again.

Great location, staff, breakfast, cleanliness, etc. Easy walk from the train station. Within easy walking distance of several sights, shopping, and restaurants. Bus connections are very close.

Good service in an older hotel

Hotel manager was very helpful. He recommended a great restaurant to us for dinner and explained highway control policies of neighboring countries. Check in was efficient. Breakfast was good. Parking was a big problem that we had to park 1.3 km away. Room was tired that needs updating.

A classic 3 * hotel in downtown Trieste. Room was small but adequate. Breakfast fine. There were two receptionists on dury during our stay: one helpful, the other totally disinterested.

Hotel Milano

The only reason I did not give it top rating is because there are better hotels if you want to pay much more. For the money it was excellent , breakfast was good and we were very pleased with our stay. Very nice bathroom.

Quaint hotel in a central location

We used the hotel as a stopover in Trieste before catching a train to Venice. Its just a short walk from the station. Its old and slightly antiquated but the welcome and service couldn't be faulted and everything worked so no problem. Restaurants and bars were another short walk away. Trieste is a lovely place with some grand buildings and worthy of a longer stay. An excellent buffet breakfast set us up for our onward journey.

Close to train station.

For a budget hotel it was nice. Room was nicer than photos I had seen. On enquiry I was told the 4 the floor, where our room was, had been renovated. Room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom.There was air con in the room which was controlled with a hand held remote. The entrance and downstairs was a bit tired and dated, but clean.Breakfast was good. Hotel was walking distance from the water front and the old town. Perfect for our needs as we were there for a music event in the Piazza Unita d'italia, which was 10 minute walk away. Staff were friendly and spoke English.

Smaller hotel, convenient location.

Convenient location close to station and a comfortable stroll to the city centre. We had a largish room facing the back which was very quiet and comfortable. Bar fridge handy but would have LOVED a kettle in the room. Decor very dated but clean and comfortable, and you’re not paying a fortune. Breakfast adequate. Staff were friendly, particularly the lovely staff at breakfast.

Close to the centre

Not my favourite Italian city but what there is, is within easy walking distance of the Hotel Milano. My room was small and bed tiny but it was very clean. I think it was on the more expensive side for the room but I would stay again.

CLOSEST HOTEL TO STATION

Older hotel 2 blocks from train station. Nothing fancy but comfortable for my 2 night stay. Room was dark with not enough light fixtures so would probably not be a place for businessmen. Breakfast was filling. The Mediterranean Sea is about 5 blocks away with numerous sidewalk cafes. My only problem was that of the noise of a tour group on the first floor. As there is an open staircase the noise got me up too early. My suggestion is to ask for a quiet room if groups are in the hotel.

Simple city centre hotel

The hotel is typical of a 3star hotel in Italy... you get what you pay for - a simple, clean, comfortable hotel with limited facilities.

Very comfortable hotel four mins' walk from railway station and eight mins from the magnificent Piazza dell' Unita. Staff are very helpful and can speak fluent English. Breakfast is good though the emphasis on cakes and the sweet stuff is perhaps too great. Would stay there again without any hesitation.

Depressing, non-ironic 1994-style decor

Ok, so this hotel has a couple of good things going for it: it's right near the best gelato shop in Trieste and it has a big sign, making it somewhat easy to find. It's reasonably close to the train station and the desk staff was nice, too. However, our accommodations resembled an interrogation room, featuring exactly one tiny, covered window and all dingy bare walls except for a dinky "painting" (aka a blown-up clip art/stock photo printed on canvas). There was some dark, awkwardly sized wood-veneer furniture, too. I know it's only three stars but does it have to look like the world's saddest pre-Y2K dorm room? The trash in our room had not been taken out after the previous tenant left. The common spaces probably haven't been touched since 1994. The neighborhood is well, by a train station...so you know? There are other three-star hotels even closer to the train station and there other three-star hotels in nicer parts of town. I am struggling to even call this one clean, so I can't in good conscience recommend it.

Nice hotel close to train station

A nice and comfortable hotel ideally located in the centre of town close to the train station. Good breakfast too with the goodies being replenished where necessary.

Average hotel well located

An average hotel. It's decor is a bit outdated. However the reception was friendly and helpful. It's also close to the train and bus station. The breakfast is decent.

Convenience, Price, Location

Great room, had 3 English news channels on the TV and good wifi in the room. My one complaint is that the room's floor was dusty, and left black dust rolls stuck to my feet. The entire room (closet door tops, floors, and other surfaces) needed a thorough dusting. Otherwise, the staff was nice and breakfast was good.

Couple Makes Annual Visit to Trieste

We visit Trieste annually and always stay at Hotel Milano for a couple of days, either at the beginning or the end of our trip. The main reason is because it's so conveniently located near the train station (two blocks away) and the Tram that goes to the village of Villa Opicina (3 blocks away). The same staff has worked there for years and they're very professional and helpful. While the rooms are typically Euro with a smallish bathroom, they're extremely clean. We've noticed in the past few years that the corridors have been updated and modernized. The breakfast is good with a vast array of rolls and croissants, cereal, fruit and table service for coffee. While the hotel doesn't have a glitzy exterior, it's very clean and the service is always reliable.

Very pleasant stay.

We stayed 2 nights pre cruise at this hotel. We were very happy with everything so we are now staying 4 nights post cruise.

No a/c in the hotel but heating constantly on and room very stuffy. Old decor and a little dated. Definitely more 3 than 4 *. Constantly reconnecting the wifi on every use ! Breakfast good though and convenient location.

トリエステ中央駅から近く、夜遅い時間のチェックインでしたが、スムーズにたどり着くことができました。内部は思ったよりもキレイで。部屋も狭いながらも狭苦しさを感じることなく、快適に過ごすことができました。トリエステを訪ねることがあればまた利用したいです。

Alles gut. Würde wieder hier übernachten. Frühstücksbuffet mehr für italienische Gäste. könnte etwas mehr Wurst und Käse zur Auswahl stehen. Gute Lage, nur 5 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt.

Tutto ok

The drainage pipe in our room was straight by my head and I could hear all from the next door room when guests were in the bath. Otherwise fine, central u good breakfast.

Hotel 3 stelle con tutto incluso, compresa la colazione, la quale era abbastanza tradizionale, a cui però non mancava assolutamente nulla. La stanza pulita, anche se gli interni erano un pochino datati. Il bagno, anche se piccolo, era comodo e ben organizzato, a parte il lavandino veramente piccolo. Una pecca erano le bustine in plastica per lo shampoo e il detergente intimo. Consiglio l'installazione di dispenser ricaricabili per evitare troppi rifiuti. Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimo, soprattutto visto il periodo di ferragosto.

Posizione comodissima, vicino alla stazione e vicino Al Centro (10/15 minuti a piedi). Pulito, confortevole, silenzioso. La colazione non molto varia ma Comunque Buona.

Anrikt hotell med viss charm

Man förstår att det är ett hotell med anor och att det nog en gång varit ett riktigt flott hotell. Tyvärr är de offentliga ytorna något slitna såsom, lobby, bar och frukostdelen. Vårt rum var ganska fräscha och vissa delar såsom badrum, golv och väggar var nog ganska nyrenoverade. Annat såsom inredning och AC var av äldre snitt. Tyvärr luktade det rök i vårt rum.

Bellissima esperienza, l 'hotel è in pieno centro a un passo sia dalla stazione sia dalle principali attrazioni turistiche. Il personale è stato gentilissimo. La colazione è super fornita con tante possibilità di scelta.

Ottima posizione. Buona colazione. Peccato non abbia un parcheggio gratuito x gli ospiti.

Tre stelle, come da aspettative

Buon hotel molto vicino alla stazione. Richiama ancora l'origine anni 70, ma le stanze sono state rinnovate anche se parzialmente. Senza infamia e senza lode, come suol dirsi, ma conforme alle aspettative e assolutamente all'altezza delle esigenza lavorative che mi hanno portato a Trieste. Colazione con tutto il necessario, l'essenziale per il salato, molta varietà sul dolce. Personale cortese.

Buon hotel, colazione ricca, ottima posizione, personale gentile, l'unica pecca forse camere e servizi piccolini, ma per una notte in transito è andata più che bene.

Great location just a couple of minutes of walk from the railway station. The room was very clean and had all the essential conveniences (TV, fridge, AC). Very good value for the money!

I problemi relativi al covid sono stati risolti in altre strutture senza plastica ai tavoli della prima colazione...

Camera carina e confortevole. Wi-fi un po' lento perché la camera era lontana dal router.

Hotel situato in posizione eccellente per visitare la città e vicino ai mezzi di trasporto ( bus e stazione ferroviaria). Personale disponibile e molto cortese. Consigliatissimo.

Hôtel très bien situé près de la gare et du centre ville. Le parking couvert de la gare est à 5mn et coûte 10 euros les 24h. Le petit déjeuner est correct: sucré salé et copieux. Le personnel est sympathique. La chambre était petite et donnait sur une arrière cour mais au moins on n'entendait pas le bruit de la rue.

Good experience

We stayed at Hotel Milano twice for one night. We arrived late and there was always someone friendly at the reception. The room was big enough for us and I like the olden day chic. One of the rooms we were in already had a totally new bathroom installed. We could leave our bicycles and the trailer in the hall over night. Breakfast was good and the people in charge were very attentive. We loved the location: it's 2 streets from the train station and almost as close to the ferry port. We walked to the main square through a pleasant neighbourhood.

Fuga a Trieste

Hotel in posizione strategica vicino alla stazione ferroviaria e al centro. Pulito ordinato, colazione abbondante e varia. Se ne avrò l'occasione ritornerò all'hotel Milano.
