Hotel rooms s located in a central spot fantastic to get to all sights. We walked to everything. The amenities were good within the hotel room. Bedding clean, rooms neat and tidy. Only feedback, no fan in the bathroom, and the tv wasn’t a smart tv and was local channels only. The tv didn’t matter much as we were out most of the time but is an expected basic requirement for hotels nowadays especially when staying in a large city such as Madrid.
Good!
Very nice hotel, staff very friendly and help full, Yanira at the front desk was amazing, at walking distance from la gran vía but quiet enough to sleep at night,
Excellent breakfast available at the hotel, along with options in the town. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The jazz piano event at the other Meninas hotel was great! There a supermarket right across the street, and the Metro station is right down the street. I'd stay again.
It is deceiving that this hotel has a sauna. It is at another hotel 2 blocks away that had to be booked 1 hour in advance.
Muy cerca de todos.
Great location for what we wanted to see in area. Hotel was clean and breakfast was nice. Nice hotel room. Nice staff.
Lovely stay at Hotel Meninas; conveniently located and was provided everything we needed including any extra towels/slippers. The only thing was that the wifi connection in the suite was extremely poor and didn't work for majority of our trip (only appeared to work in the washroom). Asides from that, staff were great and they held our luggage for us on the day we checked out as our flight was later in the day.
Lovely staff. Great location. Clean, if small, room.
Personable hotel in central yet quiet location. Very comfortable bed and ambience in the room. Breakfast had a modest yet good selection.

Perfect hotel for first trip to Madrid. Lovely boutique renovation and interior design. Friendly, helpful staff. Small room with good layout, not at all cramped. Appreciated the very quiet room, comfortable bed and pillows. Excellent breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay here again
Very friendly and helpful staff. Street was noisy, but it was a Saturday night, so understandable. Breakfast buffet was superior and nicely presented.
Great central location
Excelente Hotel. Localización es la mejor.
Lovely hotel, but the soundproofing is horrible. Add to that the door slamming overnight makes for horrible sleeping conditions
The hotel is very noisy and people smoke in the hallways. The rooms are small but clean. The plus side there lots of dining options close by.
Enjoyed staying at this motel immensly. Great location, near the metro and many eating option near by. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room (for 3 adults) wasn't big but it was clean and roomy enough for the 3 of us to enjoy.
Really enjoyed the Hotel Meninas it’s location was excellent but the poor wifi service in the rooms did let it down.
Excelente propiedad y muy bien ubicada!
This hotel was located in a convenient area for walking to the Plaza Mayor, the Palace, and other Sue’s as well as shopping and restaurants and a Metro Stop.
We had transportation issues and ended up arriving in Madrid a day earlier than expected and booked this hotel at the last minute. We're happy that we did. Service was great. Our room was large and newly renovated. When we return to Madrid, we would definitely stay here again and for a much longer stay.
The reception staff here were exceptionally helpful, especially as we arrived early in the morning and well before check-in time. The location is fabulous - easy walking distance to the Royal Palace, shopping, restaurants, Gran Via, everything, or the metro is just at the end of the street. We had a quad room for 3 adults, which was a good size and the curtain separating the two sleeping areas allowed for some privacy. The buffet breakfast had a good selection, and the small supermarket directly across the road was an added bonus for picking up snacks. We also stayed at another hotel in Madrid but next time this would be my first pick. I highly recommend it!
Historic hotel and luxurious treatment by staff. Simply lovely stay!
It was cozy, clean and comforting. Staff were nice and plenty helpful
Very friendly snd accommodating staff
Very friendly staff, good breakfast, unbeatable location.
Amazing!
We stayed in a newly renovated junior suite which was spacious and comfortable. The only drawback was that it faced the road and was a little noisy at night, especially when the small supermarket opposite had late night deliveries. The hotel is well placed for sightseeing.
Exellent location !!!
Excellent location, very nice room. Staff helpful and friendly
Very pleasant. One exception that room was too small although very clean.
Perfect location, room is very clean with decent decoration, this hotel is a historical building so the room size is little smaller than normal, the only thing I don’t like is the mini bar teabags and instant coffee never got replenish during my whole three nights stay.
Always great. Now even better!
Have stayed before, and was impressed then. Since last time its been refreshed and is even better. Also youve got Opera Metro and a cab rank just metres away so its a great location for work or Leisure.
I checked in late and there were no problems, I needed to grab something to eat and drink and the local recommendation was excellent. The hotel is very central with many things to do and see right outside the door, nice and quiet considering it's location, great AC as well. On the Tuesday I had a serious family crisis and had to fly back home, Alejandro was amazing, couldn't have helped more, thank you to Alejandro and all the staff.
Our hotel every time we visit.
Hotel Meninas was an excellent hotel! It’s personnel was always attentive and super helpful. Helped us when my friend forgot her cell phone in the cab and also helped us arrange taxi cab rides as needed and offered excellent recommendations on activities nearby. The room was spacious and clean plus they offered all amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
Freat location, staff was super friendly and helpful.
Nice boutique hotel in great area of city.
The Hotel is in a great location, friendly staff, and nice room. However the Wifi is some times unstable.
The Hotel location was the best. It was walking distance from Madrid main attractions. The staff were really nice and pleasant. We asked Maria for some dinning recommendation and it was the best food recommendation we had. The room was clean and neat and the breakfast was good too. Definetly I would stay here again!! ❤
Nice and very good place to stay
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Great service and location
Not worth
It looks not worth with the prices they were charged and has been rated 4 stars in your guiding ad.
perfect location 24/7 friendly reception exceptional room cleaning free upgrade to better room
The hotel is good, service staff is friendly. Location is convenient. Bathroom is well equipped. But rooms are so small that you don’t even have space to layout your luggage. The bed is next to the desk, don’t even have room to pull out the chair to sit. For the price, I guess you get what you paid for.
Our stay at Hotel Meninas
The strength of the hotel is its staff , all of them . It’s location is also a positive. The staff couldn’t do enough to be helpful and thoughtful. Thank you so much
Excellent Choice
Terrific location near Theatro Real. Sharp, modern, clean hotel, Desk staff very friendly and helpful.
This is a winner
Great hotel in a equally great neighborhood. Close to many sites shopping and restaurants. It is on a quiet street which is something I prefer. There’s a grocery store right across the street to pick up anything that you might need or to snack on. Room was renovated and clean with a great bathroom. Would stay there in a heartbeat again.
The location was good in a quiet shady street very near the Opera metro and the royal palace. The room was rather small birthed air conditioning worked well when it was very hot outside.
The bedroom was really small and the hotel lacks of maintenance for a 4 star hotel.
Great value! And close to everything.
The best location in Madrid. We walked everywhere. Location is also close to subway if required. Lots of restaurants nearby. Visit San Miguel Market for the best tapas.
Unbeatable location hotel
The hotel is in a very convenient location, staff are nice, room is clean and big enough. Able to open 3 luggages.
Great location close to everything, room was clean and staff was very nice.
Great hotel in a great location.
Awesome location, great small hotel with outstanding service. They've made me feel welcome from minute one. Will definitely come back next time in Madrid
Excellent location, lovely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.
A Good Choice
The location and and service were excellent. The room was a little on the small side but still fine. The optional breakfast was also good. Overall we would stay at this property again.
Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. Efficient service of front desk.
There are better hotels for that price
Stayed at this hotel for a few days and the staff is absolutely rude especially the guy a old guy at the counter. We booked a room looking at the pictures on Hotel.com but it’s deceiving. The toilet seat was broken, the cubicle door was broken, plus they call themselves a four star hotel, no bed sides chargers, room doesn’t has a heater so it gets super cold during the nights. Room is absolutely tiny, which is not a problem but as a tourist there is no place to keep the suitcase. A couple can barely fit in and no walking space at all, at the entrance there are staicases where you have to drag your heavy suitcases coz of course they haven’t thought about the convenience of the guests. The in room telephone is from 19th century, no reservation number or front desk numbers have been mentioned and the wifi is as slow as a tortoise. The room window has no view except of another building. The plus point, its in the centre of the location and has good connection to the metro too. Being a four star hotel the staff should learn some manners, and should surely upgrade their rooms, its like paying money to stay in a two star hotel. Had a pathetic experience here.
great location good atention and remarcable cleanliness
Nice hotel in a good location.helpful staff, would stay again.
Lovely hotel.Shame there wasn't an on site bar and restaurant. The restaurant affiliated to the hotel was disappointing. However there was another excellent restaurant very near to the hotel.
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel - great location close to the royal palace and within walking distance of the main sights in the city centre. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable and the staff are helpful and efficient. Would definitely stay here again if returning to Madrid as this hotel is just right for a city break.
Everything was great
Great location, situated in a quiet street next to the Opera. Nice staff, very clean. We stayed at the standard room, however was a bit small for us ( we are 2 female) we each have one luggage and barely any room left to walk.
October 2018. Half-term break.
Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Great location near the Palace.
Close to town centre
Hotel was older and needed updating. Aircon didn’t work and room was hot
Great location on quiet street but near to lots of sights and activities. One-half block to Metro
Nicest staff abroad...I highly recommend this hotel!
Good location but our room was very small.
When the windows were open there was a bad smell of sewage from the inner courtyard. the room was very small. We had to keep asking for milk for the tea and coffee facility in the room. No English breakfast tea was provided just a range of other herbal type teas. The maid service was very good and efficient.
Excelent location. Excellent staff. Very small hotel
Central to city.
Restaurants, cafes, shops, city sights all within walking distance. Hotel good. However, it would have been top marks all round if there was access to tea and coffee, especially in the morning. Also, the hairdryer cut out after a few minutes with every usage.
Nice hotel with a great location
I found this hotel to be a true find as it is on a side street away from the noise of the Plaza. It has an excellent location near Plaza Isabel II and el Teatro Real. In addition there are different metros to choose from that are close by. The hotel is well maintained. I would stay here again.
The hotel room was very unfriendly, had no window.
I was very suprised to see the broomcloset like room, with no actual window, There was a window opening to a luft hoff, meaning am about 10'x10' whole in the middle of the building. The room was extremly caustrophobic, unfriendly and ran down, with chipped furniture. There were no pictures on the walls, or any sign of human touch, it truely felt like a holding cell. (I just worked on a movie set in an actual jail as for point of reference) I do love modern minimalist design, but this space gave me the chills. The hallway wallpaper was scratched and was peeling, it didn't feel clean. I would give this hotel 2 stars. The bathroom was nice.
Very close to everything. Very nice. Staff was so nice and accommodating all of our needs.
Great hotel, staff always available and ready to help, and location is great! Glad we stayed there!
Easter in Madrid
My wife and I stayed 4 nights in Madrid during the Semana Santa. We selected the Hotel Meninas due to it's location and previous reviews. The hotel is extremely friendly and welcoming; the staff are also helpful. The room is adequate but lacks tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom area is modern and the whole accommodation is clean and smart. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.
Excellent location
Underwhelming hotel in great location
The hotel is under whelming and not anything like their photos show. Beds were not comfortable, walls were dirty and lobby is lacking. Location is great although it is a bit noisy in the morning due to some traffic and walkers passing buy.
Excellent location close to Palacio Real.
The hotel is a couple of minutes' walk from Opera Metro station, well-located close to Puerta Del Sol, Palacio Real, Theatre Real and Catredal De La Mudena. If you are prepared to stroll for 20-30 minutes, you can easily reach the three main museums - Thyssen, Prado and Reina Sofia - get the triple ticket online before you go and save time and 20%. Just along Carrera de San Jeronimo is Lhardy, the oldest restaurant in Madrid and well worth visiting for breakfast at €2.75! Restaurants, bars and cafés around Plaza Mayor are not expensive, but add 10% if you sit outside. The foodie market of San Miguel is worth a visit, but prices are high.
Great hotel for a city break
Central location made this a great hotel for a city break. Room was small but clean & with pleasant decor & a comfy bed. Reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.
A bit disappointed the second time around.
I stayed at this hotel twice when I was in Madrid, Spain. The first experience was better than the second only because of the room size. The room on the second visit was very small. In fact I had to open the suitcase on my bed because the room was so small there was no other place to open it. The TV was not working so someone came up to look at it and I had to stand in the bathroom to give him room to work. I would stay there again but I would insist on a larger room. Just because I am solo doesn't mean I pay less for a room. I should get the same type of room as if 2 people were staying in the room.
Nice place to stay.
I really like this hotel. It's location is close to the metro, taxi stand, grocery store and many attractions. The hotel is clean and bright. It is a small hotel that offers breakfast for 9.50 euros. I did not want to pay that much so I went to the Opera Cafe around the corner. For 4.50 euros I got a juice, tea or coffee and a roll. There is a vegan restaurant next to the hotel and several restaurants very close on the next street over. Also, the theater is within a few steps.
Excellent breakfast choices, great coffee, comfy bed
Centrally placed,good value hotel.
Hotel was clean and well presented.'Small ' room booked was adequate.Small but clean and tidy. Staff very helpful. Good position for exploring Madrid easily.
Great place
I arrived early, was able to leave my luggage at the front desk, check in super easy. Very nice accommodating staff. My room was small but I am not in Madrid to stay in the room.very clean and quet facing courtyard. Very comfortable. I was alone so I did not need a huge space. The hotel s location is great it's close to the opera and the Palace just minutes walking to both. I booked trip to Toledo from the hotel it was very easy booked it 7 am went on my trip at 9 am. Staff speaks Spanish and English. No one else in Madrid speaks English. I would stay here again , laundromat one door down from the hotel, lunch vegetarian place two door down on the same street, grocery market across the street ( 15 steps) and for people who like fast food Burger King is end of the street.
Excellent
This was our first visit to Spain. Everything was almost perfect. People in Madrid are very friendly and the hotel staff are very helpful. The location is close to everywhere. Christmas Eve in Madrid was fantastic. There are so many great restaurants and we love spainish food. We definitely recommend this hotel to people, and we will want to come back to visit Spain again and spend more time in Madrid.
Nice location nice hotel
I love this hotel very much, the staffs are nice especially Nuella (?), she helped a lot. And location also very near to city center and many attraction places. The room also was nice and comfortable, i surely would love to go back to this hotel if i go to madrid again
Great location, comfort, facilities are excellent.
An authentic jewel in the middle of Madrid
An authentic jewel in the middle of Madrid.
Great location in the heart of Madrid
The Hotel Menimas is located within walking distance or a short taxi ride from many attractions, restaurants and shoppers. My room was small but very clean and well appointed. I found the staff generally helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.
Everything was great.
Had a great stay. Love the location, love the staff. Love the hotel.
Hotel was good close to everything the only complaint I have is the window shutters did not close so it was very loud and a bit drafty. As long as you have earplugs its all right
Excellent location
Rooms are small but clean and well equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good value.
Charming hotel in a great location
This is a really nice hotel in a lovely little street which is nice and peaceful. It is in a great location with the Opera and Palace a short walk in one direction and then the main shopping district the opposite way. Just wander the streets and get lost! The rooms are modern, comfortable, clean and the aircon is an absolute godsend. The staff are all really lovely and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We were really happy with this hotel and would definitely recommend it.
Good hotel close to the city centre
Staff was very attentive. Facility was clean and comfortable.

Está muy bien ubicado, el.personal muy atento. La habitación un.poco pequeña si llevas 2 maletas grandes. Por lo demás excelente
